NATE

She barged into my life out of the blue. Totally unexpected. Sweet and gorgeous. But one warm look from Camryn’s grey eyes, and one sweet smile thrown at me, has me on my knees. Doesn’t change the fact that I can’t have her, but that’s alright. I’ll keep drowning in her beautiful eyes and drinking in her soft voice until she has to leave town.

But then threats come her way, harming her while I can’t do anything to stop it, and the instinctive need to protect her kicks in. Whether she wants it or not, I won’t leave her side until I know she’s safe. And when she gives in to the attraction burning between us, I realize something. I don’t want to leave her side at all.

CAMRYN

Grief and loneliness have been my closest friends for a year, and a change is long overdue. A walk down memory lane in my hometown sounds ideal to start letting go of this never-ending sorrow and try to meet the carefree, happy girl I once was again.

But back in Texas, it’s not that girl I meet first.

Nate Bowers, president of the Chaos Chasers, is not a saint. He says so himself. As a pragmatic teacher, I should run from that handsome man as fast as I can. But behind his hard exterior and primitive side, all I see in his brown eyes is a caring, gentle man he shows only to me. And when a past that I didn’t even know was mine tries to harm me, letting me know that Evil can borrow the sweetest face and leave you totally unaware of the danger surrounding you, Nate’s protectiveness has me falling for him.

Loved it! Fucking loved it!

No Club Whores drama, no OW drama, just H and h. H is sweet and h is strong. I loved how they met, naturally and sweet. I did not like the final chapters so much, BUT I’m so reading more this author and the next books.

For the first time in a very long while, Camryn has returned to the home where she grew up and lived with her parents. It has been quite a few years since she was last here, but it has just been too painful to return after her parents had been killed in a car crash. Now, it is finally time for her to face these ghosts. A year ago her fiancé was killed in a plane crash and she needs time away from her apartment in L.A. to finally say good bye to her lost loved ones.

Shortly after arriving in town, Camryn meets a man named Nate. The two share a strong attraction, though Camryn isn’t yet ready to yield her heart again. Nate is afraid to tell her that he is the president of a Motorcycle Club, as most of the women he meets who aren’t part of the club tend to avoid him after they discover his association to the Club.

There is also another problem that Nate notices as he grows closers to Camryn; a rival club’s members seem to be following her around. What is it they want from her? And can Nate, who has been falling for her, keep her safe?

This is very definitely not a book for younger readers as there is a great deal of rather descriptive sex throughout the book. This is not normally the type of book I would seek out, but as I got into the story I found myself being drawn into the tale & wanting to see where it was going. I found myself needing to read through to the end to see what happened to the main characters. I do wish that the book had gone through another round of editing though, as parts of the book could have used it. Overall though, I did enjoy reading it.

Camryn returns home to Twican, Texas to pack up her late parents home. She has two months before she needs to return to LA, but she needs to time for closure on the latest tragedy in her life. Deciding to hit up the diner she used to go to with her parents on a weekly basis, she ends up meeting Nate Bowers who is sharing her table. Camryn ends up finding a friend in Nate and an unmistakable attraction to him that she is not ready to admit.

Nate is not one for relationships and as the President of the Chaos Chasers MC he needs to be alert at all times. When he notices the Spiders, a rival club who are known for their seedier element watching Camryn, his instincts tell him she is in danger. Camryn doesn't believe it until he turns out to be right and Nate is determined to keep her safe. Both were not expecting to fall for one another but they do but what happens when Camryn's past comes back to haunt her putting everyone in danger.

This was fantastic. New to me author and I loved every moment of this book. The chemistry is intense between these two and I liked seeing how these two characters develop throughout the book. Can't wait to read #2.

Loved how these two meet. So stinkin cute.
Then the way they build their relationship.
Perfect.

The sex was hot.
The plot kept me on my toes and I couldn’t help crying every time something new was discovered.
There were a lot of sappy/sad moments in this book and it kept my nose tingling and burning from all the damn crying I did. (Not that that’s super hard to do for me. I cry when Any big emotion happens in other peoples/characters lives. Cause. You know. Trauma.🤷🏻‍♀️)

I did sort of wish that Camryn would’ve gotten over something she had to do a little bit quicker and been more proud of herself for it, but I guess it was probably a tiny bit more accurate for her to be so distraught about it. I just have a preference for badass FMCs with ruthless tendencies.

I’m really glad I picked this up.
It was sweet and sappy and sexy and there wasn’t any of that macho posturing that a lot of bikers in books have that lead to OW drama. 🤢Can’t stand that shit.

While the writing wasn't all there for me, this book just lacked. I was so bored. A lot of things happened that I rolled my eyes at but I kept zoning out. It took days for me to finish and I just wasn't invested in the plot. It just seemed boring to me.

The couple: Nate and Camryn

Romance genre: MC
Part of a series: Yes (The Chaos Chasers MC)
Length: 422 pages

Plot: Camryn has come back to Texas after losing her parents and her fiance, and the first person she meets in town is Nate, president of the Chaos Chasers MC. He's intrigued, but tries to stay away because he can tell that Camryn is a good girl, and doesn't need to be part of his MC life.
But Camryn is already part of it, unbeknownst to both of them, and when it comes down to it, Nate may need to defend her with his life.

Character development: Nate and Camryn were both interesting characters, although I did wonder at times how Camryn made it through life while being so oblivious. Nate was a strong hero wihout being overbearing. The secondary characters were actually as intriguing as the main characters, and I look forward to their stories as well. The crises that punctuate the second half of the story seem impossible - all these family connections - but they do allow the overall plot to prgress, and since they were handled in the context of a plot rather than just being thrown at us as singualr events, it didn't bother me too much. Those problems did allow us to meet the ongoing series bad guys.

Would I read more from this author/in this series: yes
Next book in the series: Jayce

A great book.. the first book of the series and it took off like a blazing fire. So many twist and turns that you can't see what's going on happen next.
Apparently this book has been re-edited. I noticed quit a few people had complained about the spelling and grammar was aweful but I had no problems with it and before I read it, it says it was done so if older comments turn you off from it don't worry because the author fixed it.
This is Nate's and Camryn's story. Nate is the president of the MC and Camryn's a school teacher out in LA. She is from Texas but after college she lost her parents but found a great job so she stayed there. After another kind of loss she needed to get away for summer break so she came home to sort out her parents house.
Not going to repeat the blurb for you here but just know that no matter where you are in life or where you think you belong you will always end up where you was supposed to.

Grammatical Errors Abound-DNF

Unfortunately, this book was filled with grammatical errors, making it impossible for this Grammar Nazi to finish reading. I stopped reading around page 35. I think the story-line had some merit, but the lack of appropriate punctuation, and improper sentence structure, just destroyed the flow. There were so many run on sentences, that I found myself backtracking to figure out if I missed something. There was no question that this new author had heart, and a story to tell, but she needs an editor to polish her work. Good luck on future endeavors.

This book was fantastic! Full of action and suspense. Couldn’t put my kindle down. This was new author for me. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Camyrn is home for a visit when she meets Nate. Nate is president of the local MC. They get along really well, but Camyrn is still grieving. Which causes her to keep Nate at a distance. That is until an unknown threat presents itself and Nate is hell bent on protecting her...

I enjoyed the story of Camryn and Nate. I liked that this wasn't your traditional MC romance. Nate and Camryn connect at a diner that she use to go when she lived there with her parents. Now that she has come back to clean up their home and move on she finds herself being drawn in by Nate. Their story was steamy with the twists that I expect from an MC romance.

Great book!

I do like MC romances but find a lot of them disappointing.

But this book is definitely one of the best I’ve read. This one had the most surprises I have ever encountered in this genre. As usual for a MC romance, this book had a lot of sex but it was not substituted for lack of plot or content.

I’m definitely going to check out other books by this author.

Great book

This was the first book I read by this author. I’m going to enjoy this series. She writes in such a way that the book flows. It doesn’t feel forced. The characters have flaws but good souls. And there’s just enough in this book for me to know that not everything is going to make me smile. My favorite kind of book.🔥🔥🔥

I listened to this on audible and I almost gave up as soon as the male voice actor came in. He was very monotone and just not what I wanted to listen to. The story was average, the FMC and her half brother getting all protective over each other so soon made me cringe, it didn’t feel authentic. I just didn’t enjoy the story it was all a bit much and I was wishing for it to end

Camryn hasn’t been to her hometown since her parents' tragic deaths in a car accident but after the death of her fiance, she decides it is time to face her past. Nate never expected to meet a gorgeous woman over pancakes or for her to set his world on its head. Or for her to be the cause of a turf war between his motorcycle club and the psychos across town.

I have been exploring the at times murky world of MC romance lately - and this was definitely a good find! (And it is KU so if you have that it is affordable!) Camryn at first seemed timid and sensitive and sad - and she is - but her strength and love are strong. And she is a fighter in her own right and it was fun as a reader to watch her grow into that.

Nate is a great lead! He fights his own tendency to be overbearing and overwhelming and lets Cam call the shots on their relationship. Even going so far as to let her - potentially - break his heart. He balances protective and possessive well and doesn’t turn into an alphahole.

I am a habitual read in order person so I started at the beginning of Chaos Chasers (and am now on book two!) I would suggest starting here - you get an introduction to the rest of the cast of characters - but It doesn’t seem like a requirement. The bedroom scenes are lovely - a great balance of steam and tenderness and not overly graphic. There is some gunplay and danger and alluded to violence but for the most part it isn’t on the page. There also seems like a rape but there is not one (sorry I felt like that was an important spoiler for some.)

Good book. I thought it was a little weird that the Chaos Chasers aren’t really bad, they only build racing motorcycles, I don’t really understand how they know so much about guns and death and violence from just that. I liked that the initial meeting between Nate and Cam is very unique. Though the story throughout has several twists but too many coincidences, such as Cam and adoptive family just so happen to move to the same town that her mother wanted to keep her from. And Nate and Cam are the only popes to sit in that very booth at Donnas, And Donna is in on Cams past the whole time etc., she’s biologically already a Chaser, and met her father after all.
I was really disappointed at how Cam acted after she ran off back to LA, that she didn’t go straight back to him because she thought Nate would hate her. And by the way how did she and Melvin clear and clean out her apartment and drive 12 hours twice in just a few days. This timing doesn’t work for me.
But the story was pretty good. The twists that kept coming Rod not being her father, Colin didn’t die but was really a psycho,
I kept expecting to find out that Rod had something to do with Cams adoptive parents death, I was very happy when that didn’t get reveled.

Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

Camryn is back home. She hasn’t been back since her parents died in a car accident but it’s the summer and she needs time away from her apartment or else she will destroy everything in there from going crazy.

Camryn decides to go back to the diner she spent every Saturday at with her parents. She is reliving happy memories and not sad ones when a man plops down at her table completely unaware she is there. And yes it’s her table even if he thinks otherwise.

Nate is stunned that this woman sitting at his table isn’t terrified of him. Everyone else in town gives him a wide berth and he likes it that way. Or he thought so until the beautiful woman across from him gets 2 of his smiles within minutes.

It’s set in stone from that moment forward that Nate and Camryn are destined to be together. Neither realized how true that is until the danger Nate’s MC has been dealing with turns out to be Camryn’s danger as well.

So much mystery and suspense in this book. So many lies and truths. You will be sucked into this book from the first page.

She was looking for a way to put her past and pain behind her. He was looking peace and a special lady to share it with.
She was in town to try to get put back together. She goes to the diner, that she use to go to with her parents, when she was younger. The diners owner, set them up to meet, she. Thought that they would hit it off. She also thought that with him being President of the local MC, The Chaos Chasers, that he could keep her safe and protected.
Nate and Camryn, have a great vibe together and are starting to feel it. Camryn, slowly wiggles her way into his brain, blood and heart, without him realizing it. Nate is slowly starting to grow on Camryn and she is having feelings for him.
He has stood besides her, when her past, present , and future all collide to either make her happy or tear her apart. He protects her and she protects him, together they make it work and fall deeply in love.

Ach ja Motoradclub-Geschichten haben irgendwie was.

Fazit: Eine etwas sanfte Biker Story !
Danke an NetGalley und dem Plaisir d`Amour Verlag für dieses
Rezensionsexemplar.
Dies hat meine Meinung in keiner Weise beeinflusst.

Over the last 4 years I have become a huge fan of MC romance books, they are in my top 5 to read so when I had to opportunity to read Nate I jumped on it and I was not disappointed.

Nate is the whole package. Attractive, strong and the president of Chaos Chasers a Motorcycle club that runs very different from other clubs. He has his brothers, his bikes and women when he needs it. What more could he need.

Cam has been through hell and back. She lost her adoptive parents in a crash, her fiancé died and now she is back in her childhood home packing things up. One Tuesday morning changed her whole life.

Cam and Nate's story was very different from other MC romances. The surprise twists had my mind blown at some points. Overall I am so happy with the ending they both deserved considering they went to hell and back to get there.

The female narrator was only good for sounding morose, heartbroken, and depressed. She did not know how to be upbeat of simply normal! 🙄

Too much of this book dragged. Partly because of the female narrator and because there was toooooo much inner thoughts. Also, the story would just take too long to unfold.

For an MC book, the bad club is obviously smarter! 🙄🙄 Like they are running circles around the good club. Embarrassing, I tell ya. But super annooooooooying to read. 😒😒

The romance between the FMC and the MMC I really enjoyed. Not the her "saving him" part, but the the rest of it. I loved that there wasn't any OW drama or cheating. I also enjoyed how naturally they unfolded. Honest.

So, yeah, I enjoyed this book, but there was too much other stuff that look away from the experience. I dread the Jayce book as I know it's going to annoy me! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nate president of the Chaos Chasers, bad boy and loves the ladies. Till he meets Camryn at a diner sitting at his table.
Camryn who has had a rough couple of years comes back home after 3 years for the summer. When she meets Nate and they become friends. While he is keeping a secret about himself she start to fall for him and him for her.
But what will she do when she finds out his secret? What will happen when things from her past threaten her now that she didn't know about? Will it keep them together or keep them apart?
Amazing read with romance, mystery, and some intense situation that will keep you wanting more and more. It will make laugh and cry a some and will have you guessing about what's to come. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Pretty Good

I love his inner thoughts they are so sweet and loving. However on the outside he fought it too long for my liking. Not that he acted it so much. It drives me crazy when a the hero goes into a near panic attack when he hears the worried marriage or pregnant. Yes it happens in real life but romance books are supposed to be light reading in my opinion. If I wanted to hear about real life I would turn on the news.
I love her she has an innocent vibe but feisty and layed back the same time. The supporting characters have their own personalities and don't blend together.
The plot has some twists that I didn't see coming which is unusual. Some of it isn't needed.
All and all a good book, worth the read but not one I will have a book hangover from.

Wow what a amazing read by C.M. Martin.
Nate is the Prez of the Chaos Chasers MC. Camryn has come home for a short time. She is still mourning the death of her parents & now her fiancé. She goes to the diner she would go to with her parents every Saturday and this is where she meets Nate.. the unexpected meet becomes a friendship that leads to more. The longer Nate and Camryn hand out and get to know each other the stronger the feelings become.. but Nate is hiding something.. what will happen when Camryn finds out?
I definitely recommend this book! I can’t wait for more from this author!!
