Heather. I love you to bits and as always, I can only say that it was too short and I would’ve still devoured it if it were twice as long. This was such a great follow up to the previous books and I can’t wait to see how things play out.

The world in these books is so cool and I am SO GLAD we have a map now! I love the world being fleshed out more and more and can’t wait to see what lies ahead.

YA DYSTOPIAN

What a roller coaster! Another fast paced installment by Indie author Carson. We get lots more information in this book and things are just going crazy. I love how it keeps me guessing and turning the pages. For such a short read, it’s packed full of action and the story never really has a slow moment. I was really looking forward to learning more about Calder in this one and I guess in a way you do - but not from his perspective, from people who know him and it’s totally not what I expected. Looks like I’ll be binge reading until the end - Really enjoying this series!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I don't want to say too much in my review and spoil things, but I love how Brooke continues to grow, such an amazing main character. The depth of the side characters is second to none as well. I love watching the new connections and plot points develop. Also, there is a sneak peek of book 4 at the end of this one.... This is the 3rd book in Heather Carson's City on The Sea series.
This series has been a rollercoaster ride thus far. For such a small book, Carson has really filled its pages with descriptive places, and vibrant characters. The books are a quick read, but are jam packed with action and a very slow enemies to lovers burn. Carson does a great job with small plot twists you do not see coming, and then an ultimate twist at the end that made me want to scream.

I came into this series thinking it was a trilogy. When I was about 85% of the way through this 3rd book, I started to get a little suspicious, and prayed the author wasn't going to introduce a huge war and try to wrap it up in 5 pages. Luckily for all of us, this is NOT the end to Brooke's story. Unluckily for us, we will have to wait to see how it unfolds!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! It was definitely my favorite book in the series and I can't wait for the next book to be published. The plot was amazing and all the new characters we were introduced to were awesome. The only thing that I wanted was more Calder and Brooke. Also that sneak peek of Book 4. I NEED IT NOW. Highly recommend this series and I can't wait to read her other books.

Another AWESOME book in this series!!! This time Brooke enters a whole new world...not a city on the sea, but on land. Once again the world building was amazing!!! Brooke sees good and bad in this world.

This series is so AMAZING!! Normally I don’t care for more than 3 books in a series, but for one thing the books are not mega long, and for another thing, dystopian worlds can have so much involved like this series does, and you need to answer everything in a timely manner and not all rushed together. This series has been so well written!!! I’m definitely going to check out more of her books!!!

This book is so good, not only does it keep you guessing but it provides so many details about the characters and their lives. it has amazing world building so you can see it like a movie is playing in your head. This entire series has had me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely recommend this entire series and anything written by this author she has a way of writing that makes you feel like these characters are your real life friends and family and you just get so invested with them it was so well done and I am so excited for book 4!

I really enjoyed this next installment of this series! Heather Carson’s books are quick reads but somehow manage to pack a lot into a short amount of time.

I also think it’s an interesting commentary on what would happen if women ruled the world instead. Especially given history’s long-time preference for men across the board, it’s an interesting take on what would happen if women were in charge instead. It turns out it’s just as likely to be toxic and hurtful for everyone. Men in and of themselves aren’t the problem - unbalanced power and control is. We need each other to function correctly.

Overall a great next installment of this story, and I can’t wait for the next one!

Change is in the air

This is the 3rd book in the series but each one is a direct continuation of the book before. It's been a few months since I read the others so it took a moment to get my bearings with the storyline.
Brooke arrived in a strange world after dragging Calder 5 miles to save his life. But she's banded from seeing him for much of the story is her learning all about life on the land. I loved the friends she developed and how you realize there were others watching and following her progress all along. I look forward to the next book.

I liked learning about the world the people beyond the wall live in. Seeing that the people beyond the wall have no idea how badly they've been brainwashed is both sad and terrifying.

This book feels a LOT slower than the two pervious ones; I would 't call it filler, but it's definitely a transitional novel to get us through to the last two novels, where I expect things will pick up quickly. The good thing is that "The Land of Promises" is fairly short read (as are the other books in the series), and it's not too long before we get to the end and onto the next. 3.5 Stars

Once again Heather Carson knows how to end a book on an amazing cliff hanger! I am dying for book 4 to release! Book 3 gave such an insight into the watchmen and why they are the way they are but also into the world beyond the walls! I can’t wait to see why Brooke does next! I am glad I also dared to be a rebel as I was reading! Though I will say I was quite upset with being left on such a big cliff hanger!

Okay, so I am totally team Calder. Just saying! And I should not have been a rebel... I should have listened to the author... and now I must pay the price! The story continues in this third part where Brooke has to learn all she doesn’t know while Calder heals... but you know deep down that they are meant to be together! I love it!!

This book was a really good read. It shed light on the past - what had happened, how and why the wall was built, and what life was like for everyone. I love following Brooke on her journey as she finds the information she's after and makes friends along the way. She's growing as a person, and she only wants what is right for everyone. I look forward to reading book four.

I literally love Calder so much, I think he’s so funny and it’s nice to see him as more than just a a brooding character in book one

If you like dystopian YA series then this needs to be on your TBR. It has a relatable h who lives in world that ours could possibly become in the future. One of my favorite dystopian YA series .
