I must risk everything.

I’ve become what I feared most, and a demon is hunting me for my power. He’s opened a portal to the underworld, and I’m the last piece in his puzzle. If he captures me, he’ll use my magic to desolate the world.

The only person who can help me is Damian Malek, a cursed angel. He’s sexy, powerful, and ruthless, and we can’t seem to stay apart. The only problem is—our attraction is fatal.

When the veil to the underworld breaks, we’ve got one shot to save our world. We’ll have to confront my past, find the secret of my magic, and broker a deal with the angels—a deal that could cost Damian everything.

Will it be enough, or will we both end up broken?

An action-packed urban fantasy, Broken Skies features a rebel heroine, a dark angel hero, and the spicy culmination of a slow burn romance. Prepare yourself for demons, shifters, and edge-of-your-seat adventure in the stunning finale of Dragon’s Gift: The Storm.

This book was the perfect conclusion to an exciting series. I really loved the overall plot of the series and the way that the authors executed it. There were some things in the previous books that I saw coming but this final book took me by surprise. I wasn't able to anticipate the ending or what would happen to the characters. I think that what happened to both Neve and Damian at the end of the book was quite fitting. Both of their outcomes were the perfect ending for each of them. I loved Damian's realization about Neve and how it cemented their relationship. I really loved the immense character growth of both Neve and Damian in this series. I couldn't have asked for a better ending!

Holy fates…

Wow what a journey this series have given me.
From the first words down to the last book. It had drawn me in .
The chemistry was good not over the top. But I wish it didn’t take till book 4 to get some action.lol. It was a little repetitive some of the times in all the books but I did look past that. I loved this series and super glad I had kept with this.

This is the epic conclusion to the Dragons Gift series. This book is explosive. Mathias has opened a portal to hell and demons are escaping. He is still trying to trap Neve so he use her for her power. Neve and Damian both have to confront their past in different ways. Neve finally gets the answers she's been seeking and Damian has to ask his enemies for help. Damian finally pulls his head out of the sand and listens to what his dragon side has been telling him all along about Neve. It's all hands on deck to fight Mathias and his demon army. This book is a fantastic ending to a great series! I can't wait to find out who's story we will get next! I highly recommend this series!

I received an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Fantastic conclusion to a great series. Damien and Neve needed something to go their way for once and they finally get their HEA with the appropriate reprimands. So curious to know if we’ll get to see more of those arrogant but intriguing angels.

Overall: 2/5

Plot and themes: 2/5

Characters: 2/5

Writing style: 3/5

Attention-grabbing: 3/5

I feel justified in downgrading this one to 2 stars as opposed to the 3 stars which I gave the other books in the series. This is the finale, I've been waiting for some kind of resolution/explanation about her ancestry or how she can control these powers that are so mystical and OP and it looks like we're finally going to get that. Damien's still having a hissy fit about being too dangerous and they both also have this instant chemistry that really makes no sense in context because they don't really know each other.

The most pressing question of the book for me had the easiest solution: she should just have someone wish to find her parents. It was right in front of her the entire time. But it was also like she had forgotten that pressing issue. I don't even know how it makes sense for her to have lost her family in the first place considering it seems like they are from earth? Planes walking as a whole concept was so poorly defined throughout the whole series and I'm still confused as to how exactly it works.

The resolution to the whole series was also weak and the same for both characters despite their very different origins. It made me mad with how straightforward it was given the convoluted nature of the rest of the books. I don't know I'm not really recommending the books unless you're really bored and you need something mindless to read.

Linsey Hall and Veronica Douglas are back with Broken Skies the fourth book in, and perfect conclusion to, their Dragon’s Gift: The Storm series. Neveah (Neve), is the perfect kick-a** strong but at the same time vulnerable rebel heroine, and Damian Malek? Just wow. He’s her ideal counterpoint dark angel hero. Add them to a fantastic and perfectly written plot filled demons and shifters, action and adventure, thrills and, yes, the culmination of the slow burn romance that’s bern building up. The result is a wonderful take as our leads work together to save the world from Matthias and the demons he's unleashed. Great (really superb) stuff that’s totally satisfying, and easy to highly recommend.

So now we come to the end of Neve and Damian's story.

Neve is now a full blown genie and her and Damian are still battling Matthias. We have Neve trying to resolve her missing parents, her new status as a full-blown genie, and figure out her and Damian's relationship.

Damian is a fallen angel with a that makes it exceedingly difficult for him to be around Neve safely.

Matthias is out of control and is seeking the creation of a new plane with the help of enslaved genies and demons.

There are so many issues that Neve have to deal with as a couple and between themselves. Each issue had its own moment for resolution so that when the series finally ended - I was satisfied.

Exceptional

What a brilliant finale to an exceptional series, there is never a dull moment the characters are all absolutely perfect the heroine Nevaeh is a true kickass woman who fearlessly faces danger but still has a passionate compassionate heart, she struggled to master her genie powers but gets there in the end. Damian the hero a fallen angel criminal overload finally finds his destiny and overcomes his fears and atones for his sins and sets himself free to love Neve. Together and with friends and angels they save the magical world. Finally these two after all the trials and tribulations can be together. This has been one of the best fantasy fiction series I have read I applaud the authors.

Co-authors Linsey Hall and Veronica Douglas have flown us to new heights with book 4 in their Dragon’s Gift:the Storm series, Broken Skies!

I ABSOLUTELY loved the secrets throughout this book, watching Neve and Damian struggle to find their happy place, but especially loved the growth that Neve showed throughout this series.

She is compelling, and I wanted to travel by her side.

I also wanted to be Rhia. I hope we see more of her best friend! What made this story even more enthralling, were the creative characters -good and bad- that launched us skyward, or even into another dimension. So much going on, in a beautiful air symphony.

The gripping finale of The Storm series delivers an intense mix of action, magic, and high stakes as Delaney faces her greatest fear—a demon bent on harnessing her power to destroy the world.

The evolving dynamic between Delaney and Damian Malek is both thrilling and heartbreaking, with their fatal connection adding emotional weight to the high-octane plot. With epic battles, shocking revelations about Delaney’s magic, and a desperate deal with the angels, the story keeps readers on edge until the final page.

A satisfying conclusion packed with danger, romance, and redemption, Broken Skies is a must-read for fans of urban fantasy and magical adventures.

Thank you!

I have been eagerly waiting for this, the final book and I must say I love the twists and turns. I also love the ending. Definitely worth the wait and the read. Thank you, thank you to the authors. Side note, I have read a lot of books in this particular genre, romance and fantasy fiction, and I can say without doubt these are the best marriage of both worlds. The other authors I have read recently seem to be heavy on one and not so much on the other, but these are better.

Just A Few Things ...

Over all it was a pretty good read, but there were some things about it that just got under my skin. Like when Matthias kept being able to catch her with the spell and that she was weakened immediately, when for a spell to be able to weaken someone cannot do so until it has been spoken. And, when he was chasing her in the end on the firedrake, someone much smaller is going to be able to be much more agile than something bigger than it. Just things like that.

But, like I said, over all, a great read.

I've Read Better, and I've Read Worse

Warning: This review may contain spoilers.

I have read worse novels, but I have also read better. Broken Skies is an okay book if your looking for a short read to kill some time, as quick and simple to get through. Story and characters is nothing to be wowed about, but it's readable...despite the fact that the main character is called Neveah, which makes it hard to actually take the character seriously. The world buidlign and characters failed to leave an impression so I doubt I will re-read, but it's readable.

Two things that I really liked in this series:
First is the history and folklore behind the landmarks they visit in each book. Neve feels like myself with her love for books, history and myths. And the food. All the food. “I’m half djinn. The other half is an espresso”. A girl like my heart.
Second thing is how Neve, despite all her feelings for Damian, is down to Earth, thinks straight about the ramifications of their relationship and just doesn’t jump into it under the “love conquers all” premise.

I couldn't wait for the final book in this chapter of The Dragon's Gift series! It certainly didn't disappoint! This picks up where we left off, and we just go from there! This one had me all over in my emotions. I was stressed, then laughing, getting a little in my feels, melting, then fanning myself. I adore Neve and Damian, and both characters made so much growth. I loved this and feel like it is a spectacular conclusion to Neve and Damian's story. I highly recommend this series!

What a stroke of genius.

Oh but that final battle. Pure. Brilliance. This series is a definite must read, the first book was a little slow but, the series got better with every book. Every character grows with each book and as you read you gain more insight into each ones past. This series was great and this finisher was amazing. I can hardly wait to read the next book for Magic's Bend. I highly recommend this book and entire series.

Oh so good!

This story was full of intrigue and emotional twists. Throughout all four books, the story never lagged. The characters were diverse and complex. The visual descriptions painted a vivid picture and I was taken on a journey as complete as a full movie screen. Could not stop reading until I finished all 4 books. Hated to see the story end and would love to see it continue with Rhia’s story.
Bravo! My Respect for Lindsey and Veronica! Looking forward to more.

Loved this series

The best part about this series is the evolution of the characters. Not just that they become more magically powerful, but because they realize the power of choices. We are the master of our own emotions and the decisions we make. So many people think that they are are unable to control the way they act and their emotions when really, it is quite the opposite. Choose to be happy like these characters.

The collaboration of these authors have taken us on a roller coaster ride, through different worlds and new types of magica and left us with a thirst for more. Can’t wait to find out whose story they are going to tell next.

I am so glad that Linsey Hall joined with the writing duo as now I have even more great books to read. This latest by them is the series ender, and it’s a doozy. Neva and Damien are on the hunt for Matthias, and time is running out to find him. He still wants Neva to add to his genie collection. Like all the books written by Hall, this is an action-packed adventure full of fun. In some ways, they remind me a little of the James Bond movies: action, romance, action, romance. LOL! I am sad to see these characters go, but I know there will be more which I eagerly await. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Book 4 of 4 was extraordinary fantasy with magical beings that actually seem realistic. The set must be read in order. Damien is a fallen angel Neva is half genie they are going to have to battle together. The characters and storyline is awesome. It’s a fantasy wonderful world to loose yourself in. I received a complimentary copy of the book and chose to write a review.

Fantastic urban fantasy novel

What an ending to a fabulous series! The showdown was the icing on the cake. The plot and subplots are well thought out. The characters are likeable or not and very detailed and honestly I couldn’t put this down.

I hope it’s not the last book we see out of Magic Side. I love the setting.

Great ending!

All of the things I was missing from the other books in the series exploded into this one. Neve will get answers about her family, Damian will have a confrontation with the Watchers, and Matthias, as well as the genies, will come together in battle.... and just wow! Loved this series!

Sucks you in...

This is a book of the love/hate theme or hot/cold theme that we readers have come to expect; however it wasn’t close to the norm.
Jump into the abyss and try a futuristic living of ‘ la vida loca ‘ and love vs. power story that will give you hope, love, and contentment that love can heal all.
