Mated to the Warrior King

Rate this book
He is supposed to be my fated mate, but all I can see is a blood-thirsty warlord.
I have been sent to this planet all on my own. All I know is that I am to be mated to the greatest warrior the Gok’han empire has ever seen. He is savagely handsome and intimidatingly smart, but I think he might be going crazy.
It’s my job to convince him to stop the killing, but I can barely stop him from taking me. I think I may have bitten off a little more then I can chew but — there is no way out.

I was sent here to be mated, but this planet might become my grave.

Mated to the Warrior King is the second book in the new Rulers of the Gok'han empire. Each installment contains sassy, strong-willed heroines and brooding, possessive aliens bound together by exhilarating action and steamy romance. Each book is standalone, but they are best enjoyed when read in order. No cliffhangers. No cheating. Happy ending guaranteed.

Sierra was kidnapped from Earth with her friends. After one of her friends was mated to an alien prince, she finds herself agreeing to marry King Konsta. He is considered the greatest warrior and king of his people. Soon after Sierra boards the ship to take her to the king, she starts to have doubts. The higher ranked aliens act like everything will be great while the soldiers are hinting at troubles on the planet King Kosta is conquering. Sierra is uneasy but goes into to stasis to make the trip go faster. She is confused when she is suddenly awakened and dragged across the ship. She quickly figures out that the ship is being attacked. Luckily she is able to escpae the ship before it is blown to bits. When she lands on the planet, the soldiers traveling with her are all killed by monstrous looking aliens. She is captured by them but treated very well when suddenly the village is attacked. King Kosta is there to rescue her.

Sierra is confused by King Kosta. He seems to be obsessed by attacking the aliens who treated her kindly. He won't listen to her defend them and is offended by her reactions. Personally Kosta treats her well but he only seems interested in reproducing. His brother seems much more compatible to her at first. He listens to Sierra's doubts and convinces her to try to spy on his brother Kosta and convince him to back off from the war. Sierra is torn by her feelings but decides to give Kosta a chance.

A thrilling read and at times very sad. Sierra is to be mated to a warrior king - Konsta. It is a rough ride just getting to the planet and then is shot down. She is horrified to witness all those who had been her protection, slaughtered by an alien race on the planet. Despite not being harmed, she realizes they do not see her as a threat. Eventually rescued by her warrior king. The story is complicated, as there is much going on behind the scenes that Sierra finally puts together and with help from her friends mates messages. She finds her mate almost on his last legs and saves him. She makes him leave the two aliens be and he heads off with Sierra. Konsta realizes with her help that he has been played by one he trusted. They soon plan their escape from the planet, but face one final challenge. When all is put right with his men and the aliens, they finally leave, looking forward to a new life and family.S

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Sierra is taken to an alien planet to be mated with a warrior king, but things are rarely that simple so when they are shot down and her protection has been killed by the aliens that inhabit that planet although, they do not touch her because for them she isn’t a threat. At this point all she can do is wait and hope her warrior king is comes for her. Of course he comes to save her but there is so much that happens between trying his best to get to her so the questions are will he make to her in time and can the two find finally find happiness?

This one was a bit darker than the first book due to all the wasteful deaths of 500+ brave warriors, not as dark as Thalassa's "War" of the "4 Horsemen series" but unsettling nonetheless. The world-building was good, the idea of a king abdicating and reasoning behind was unexpected but logical, heartrending, and heroic... though I kept waiting for Konsta to change his mind or pressured into remaining. His failure to verify strategic info Ma'uno provided was a bit nonplausible given that Konsta was supposed to have been the greatest king and warrior to have ever lived in Gok'han history. There were alot of soul-wrestling snippets - very good maturity for a medium-weight novel. Sierra's soul journey and evolution was well-done without being repetitive or whiny. Definitely would recommend this book.

Three friends were abducted to save the Gok'han after a virus affects their females... This is part of a series and you should read Claimed by the Warrior Prince to find out how Sierra ends up here. After being abducted with her friends, Sierra offers herself to king Konsta, the greatest warrior of all. She ends up crashed in a battle zone. King Kosta seems unstable. Sierra is wishy-washy in her thoughts and behaviors. Konsta is wrong but can't admit it. When there's betrayal within his warriors, can they save each other?
I enjoyed book 1 better than this one. These characters weren't as engaging. I will read Jada's story because she seemed the toughest of the ladies.

Claimed by the Warrior Prince is book 2 in the Rulers of The Gok'han Empire Book Series. This story has very strong characters who are well crafted with chemistry, personalities and histories. This story was intriguing and has well-thought out scenes, characters and storyline. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, romance, and love. A must read. Each installment contains sassy, strong-willed heroines and brooding, possessive aliens bound together by exhilarating action and steamy romance. Each book is standalone, but they are best enjoyed when read in order.

Sierra is being sent as tribute to someone who was the youngest to become king and remain so for a decade. Konsta. To become king to you have to fight and kill the previous king. He did just that and has been fighting ever since. Sierra is wondering if he know how to do anything else and deep down so does he, if he had the realisation to think it of course. The planet Sierra has ended up on is war torn and after her ship crashes rather than lands will there ever be a time for peace. This was such an easy book for me to read, the writing flowed so well and just pulled you in. Fab!

It was an enjoyable read. The story did at times seem a little under developed and rushed through.
*Spoilers*
The story tells about Sierra who is being sent off to another planet De’aria to her fated mate the alien king Konsta who has gone war crazy and is fighting with the Dhahami. During the story Sierra fights to get Konsta to see that there isn’t the need for war with the Dhahami. Konsta’s second in command Ma’uno sabotages things from early on to over throw Konsta so he could become king because he was tired of all the fighting Konsta has their soldiers doing. The ending does include a HEA.

Sierra has been sent to this planet to be the mate of the greatest warrior the Gok’han empire has ever seen, the alien king Konsta. He may be handsome and intelligent, but he also appears to border on losing his mind. Sierra has to convince him to stop the needless killing. But there is much at play behind the scenes resulting in betrayal by someone he should have been able to trust. But Sierra and Konsta are strong together and make a good pair. Will they get it all figured out? Will they finally be able to be together and start their family?

I enjoyed this story. There was plenty of twists and turns, action, suspense, intrigue, sabotage, lies, and lots of steam. Sierra is sent to planet De'aria to marry her fated mate, King Konsta. I love the characters and the interaction they have with each other. I also like that her mate finally realizes that she's helped him find the person who's been sabotaging his efforts behind the Kings back. This is a fairly new author and I have to say that I will be reading more of her books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book i read from this author. I will be looking for more books by her. It was a well written mix of action, heat, and love . There is a huge web of lies in the book but in the end it is a HEA. I know there are more books in this series. I will be reading them I am sure. You do not have to read the others to get drawn into this book. Now i am just hungering to read more from her.

Definitely an unexpected journey

I have to be honest...at first I really did not like the king. He seemed to be an a******.
But the story turned out to be really good. Many up and downs, laughs and cries, and unexpected twists. I will not give away the twist but it is good.
I cannot wait to read the 3rd book

Sierra agrees to become a bride to an alien king and is encouraged by her best friend. Then the vessel gets shot down and the king is not the benevolent ruler she expected.

Warrior king?

What a way to start off a relationship, being shot out of the sky. Betrayal cannot be a surprise to any king or official, it comes with the territory. Enjoy the read.
