This was a great second chance romance that was a fun, quick read. Kimberly broke Sebastian's heart four years ago but fate brings her back into his life. He's in the process of merging his families company with another company. It turns out that Kimberly is the CFO for the other company. He's still in love with her but will not admit it so does this effect the merger? Does she let him know that the real reason she wanted the companies to merge. They have great chemistry and are really made for each other. The characters were fun and the story line was fun. No cliffhanger and a HEA. I read an advance arc copy via Bad Boy update and voluntarily chose to review it.

It's a second chance between Kimberley and Sebastian, but what I liked is that we initially follow Sebastian, playboy, but bruised by his past with Kimberley, who is back in town, after having built her professional career. He hates her for what she's done and doesn't want to give up one iota anymore.
Their grudge is lingering between Kimberley's prejudices of him, and the fear of being hurt again for Sebastian.
The story is very hot and touching.

This was a good read. I didn’t much care for the way Kimberly and Sebastian treated each other. Still felt like they were in high school instead of grownups. There was hurt but they way they handled it was too immature.

i wasn’t the biggest fan of the characters (at least until the 60% mark) and i also hate the second chance book but i actually really enjoyed reading this book. it was a shortish and didn’t have too much drama, which i appreciated.

Steamy hot second chance novel. 4.5* This is a very well written, page-turning book with well-described characters and intelligent, well-expressed, scene-appropriate dialogue and vocabulary. The reader is transported into the world of high finance and company mergers. Kimberly, having broken Sebastian's heart 4 years ago re-enters his life as his equal, a CFO of the company his company is about to merge with. What surprised me and which I have found totally lacking credibility, is that they are 22 years old neither of them went to college, yet they are working in high finance, holding high-powered positions. For one thing, 22 is a bit young to hold one of the most senior positions in a company. His heartache and pain have on the other hand been very well described and so had their initially spiteful attitude to each other and gradual softening and realisation and acceptance of their powerful physical attraction. Their intimacy was incredibly steamy, very descriptive and detailed. When their rekindled relationship almost blows up, the reason for which I felt was a bit over-done but the author has found a way to bring the conflict to a much-awaited positive resolution and HEA. This is an enjoyable, easy-to-read book which I am happy to recommend.

This is a second chance love story and is told mainly from Sebastian’s point of view with a few chapters being told from Kimberley’s point of view. This makes sense as this is “The Hunter Brothers Series” therefore the focus should be on Seb. This is book two in the series but can be read as a complete standalone.

I enjoyed the banter between the brothers and with Seb being the youngest, I understand why Matt and Chance have fun getting him riled up. I loved the way they surprised Seb with Kimberley’s return and they way Matt can goad him into doing what is right.

Kimberley is a strong and independent woman who knows what she wants and goes for it, if it involves business. She has trouble expressing that in her personal life which makes her relatable.

As a side character, Bernie (Seb’s personal assistant) is like a mother hen and is spot on with her job. The banter between her and Seb is hilarious and she has Seb’s back 100% and is not afraid to tell him when he’s messed up.

Overall this book is well written with great characters and a storyline that kept me from putting the book down. I eagerly await the arrival of Chance’s story.

Sebastian and Kimberly have a history and it didn't end well which makes working together in business now hard. They were high school sweethearts until Kimberly ended things so she could pursue her career. Sebastian was heartbroken and was determined to not let anyone close again. Sparks fly between them as they banter back and forth in the meeting. Soon its war between them when Kimberly sees how he plans to treat her at work. When he sees how its affecting her with her superiors Sebastian tries to fix it. Things between them heat up after a celebration but Sebastian turns cold afterwards. Will Kimberly stick around for him to keep treating her badly? Will he see his mistake before its too late?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter to the last. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This has two tropes I love, second chance romance and an office romance. For Sebastian and his brothers business is good, but it can always be better. The upcoming merger will be a huge win for them and Sebastian is on his A game. until he learns that "she" is back in town. Kimberley knows she hurt Sebastian when she left town, she just doesn't realize how badly. Now the merger that her company wants and needs is up to her being professional, and lose her mind sitting across the table form Sebastian. I love delving into their pasts, both together and separate, and seeing how their new situation plays out. Can they put the past behind them, do they want to, will they admit the spark is still there, will they implode both their companies? Great read!! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.

Seb!!!

Well I knew Sebastian's book was going to be great and this definitely didn't disappoint. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for both Sebastian and Kimberley.

Sebastian is the life and soul, full of life and a massive hit with the ladies but its all a front to make sure no one gets close to him not after Kimberley broke his heart.

Kimberly realises that she wanted to be with Seb all along and if only they learned to communicate everything would have been so much more straight forward.

An eventual happy ever after for these two was just fantastic they both totally deserve it.

The Hunter brothers are just fantastic and I know the story of Chase definitely won't disappoint. Another great story from Iona Rose definitely recommended.

This is the second book for the Hunter Brothers by Iona Rose. Kimberly left four years ago and broke Sebastian's heart in the process. Fast forward four years and they are each the CFO of their respective companies and must work together for the merger of the two companies to go smoothly. There are definitely still feelings there between them though Sebastian won't admit it. How will this effect the merger? Will Kimberly let him know the real reason she wants this merger to go through? It is a really quick read with good characters and a dialogue that works with the storyline.

This second chance romance was great to read, it was mainly from Sebastian’s point of view and it was funny to read some of his internal monologues: “ smooth Sebastian”
The chemistry between Kimberly and Sebastian was real and crackling.
Their first kiss was pure fire!
The side characters like his brothers Chance and Matt or his secretary Bernie make this story complete, they put a funny note to it.
This was a nice read and I’m curious to read Chance’s story next!

Sebastian and Kimberly tugged at my heartstrings but also kind of frustrated me with their incessant refusal to just open up to one another. I thought the story was entertaining and while I can't say I felt a strong connection to either of the main characters they were likable enough and the chemistry potent. This was a fine second chance romance. I did however find some trouble with the timeline of the story, it stated several times that Kimberly broke up with Sebastian four years ago, and also that they lost touch after high school, I just find it difficult to believe anyone to be CFO 4 years after high school. I also liked Sebastian better in the first book.

Second chance romance. Poor Sebastian never recovered after Kimberley broke up with him years ago. They really are very antagonist to each other. They do a good job of hurting each other. They end up with some surprises along the way. Overall good story. Can be read as standalone, but I am glad I read the previous book.

I really love this author, but this book...eh. Seriously, if generic could be a romance novel...this would be it. I mean, it was the most generic thing I've read in a while. Everything was predictable. There wasn't much drama to it. It was just...there. This series hasn't been the best for Ms. Rose. Honestly, I really recommend ANYTHING other than a book from this series from her.

**Slight spoilers**Kimberley and Sebastian had been friends and lovers but, after senior year in high school, Kimberley left him behind to pursue her fortune with nobody's help or interference. Sebastian was devastated and has hated her ever since. Both became CFOs of their respective companies and now face one another as they facilitate a merger. Sebastian is consumed with anger, while Kimberley is torn. She never gave him a reason why she took off, and it's obvious that she needs to explain herself. This is a slow-moving second chance romance that includes a lot of delightful elements, but there are a couple of turns that bother me a bit. I was unhappy with Kimberley's attitude about not wanting to trap Sebastian, but was even more unhappy that she would even "joke" or test the waters regarding an abortion. That made no sense to me, especially since it's revealed that she came back to work with Sebastian because she never stopped loving him. That was a slight disconnect for me. The storyline is good and the secondary characters make for a very enjoyable read.

Sebastian and Kimberly's story follows Matt and Callie's in Reckless Entanglement. Seb and Kimberly have been friends for years both interested in careers in finance. I did find it a little hard to believe that Seb's parents would not insist on him getting a professional degree instead of letting him go to work in the family business right out of high school. At any rate, both he and Kimberly are very successful CFOs four years after she left Sebastian to seek her own fortune without a degree. This story tells of Sebastian's surprise confronting his old and dear lover on the day of the meeting to begin merger negotiations with her company. Of course, he still hates her for leaving him the first time. Be prepared for fireworks, turmoil, and surprises. This was a heart-wrenchingly good read!

Sebastian has been in love with Kimberly though it has been years. When they meet up again, neither one of them can control the attraction, but it often morphs into some salty comments which sometimes makes me laugh. Their chemistry together is sizzling hot, and you can’t help but to root for them to resolve through all their issues to make it to their HEA. I thought this was quite a cute story.
