USA Today Bestselling Author Krystal Shannan lives in a sprawling ranch style home with her husband, teenage son, and two almost teenage daughters. Her home is full of love and laughter and lots of animals. In fact the welcome mat warns visitors that it’s a zoo inside—chickens, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, dogs and fish! You name it, they’ve probably had it in their home at some point.
Krystal writes stories filled with magick, fantasy, passion, and just enough humor to make you laugh out loud. Join the fun and escape to a whole new world.
I really did love this except for one part near the end. I also didn’t feel a real romantic connection between Saul and Lorelei due to everything happening too quickly. I would have rather they had more time to at least get to know each other, not just use the Soul Call as a reason to be together. Lorelei especially never really had a chance to grieve properly for Tallix. Interesting to have more survivors from Reylea around. Not so impressed with Rivian and his band of a-holes though. Very happy Col is turning out to be a wonderfully caring leader now. My let down was the fact that Saul was getting sexy at the wrong time and then acted impetuously and was caught and beaten stupid. I could understand Lorelei wanting revenge as she was completely muddled, unknowing of her new surroundings and hadn’t had time to process. Also the fact the poor under malnourished woman never managed to eat a meal whilst everything was happening. I never enjoy the baddie getting so much time to be his horrendous self and to just keep getting away with doing his vile things. But I loved how he got his just desserts. What happened with the five brothers was sweet. This is my honest review of this book.
Saul had a family once and they were killed by a rival tribe the Ka’lagh. Saul is on tribe territory when he encounters a group of male wolves and one female wolf. Saul is surprised to see the female glow for him with the mate bond, he never thought there would be another female for him. That is when he notices she is a captive and not in good condition but the biggest hit is the wolves are from the same tribe that killed his mate and unborn child. He cannot let his new female down so he steals her from the wolves and they get away due to an incoming storm. Saul discovers her name is Lorelei and she had a mate on Reylea but there is something wrong with her memory she speaks as if she was with her mate the previous day but it has been over a year since the portals were opened and they arrived on earth. The tribe is now in danger because the Ka'lagh want Lorelei back, they are not done torturing and beating her yet. For Saul his tribe is family and he can trust them with his and Lorelei's lives. Lorelei is in danger because of her family her mates brother is who's holding her captive. Will Saul be able to protect his tribe, himself and keep Lorelei safe when the chips are down and it really counts. I love this book, it is a must read if you love shifters.
Book Review: All's Fair In Lion And War Author: Krystal Shannan My Rating: 5 Stars
REVIEW So happy to finally have Saul's story and O.M.G. it's explosively good. Saul had a mate, he lost her at the hands of some ruthless lions back in his homeland. He never thought the fates would grant him another. Until... Lorelei...enters his world, his life, his total being. Now to keep her safe, make her his, and keep his entire family safe.
Deeply emotional, action-packed, all about family story.
Saul and Lorelei's story give your heart a workout with a rich blend of emotions and poignancy. If you are anything like me you will very quickly find yourself swept up by an completely invested in this moving and engaging read. This couple is going to make your heart ache but also fill it with the warm glow of sweetness and hope. Along with the incredible romance that is being playing out, you also get plenty of action, suspense, tension and drama. This will have you feeling anxious and on the very edge worrying over everyone's safety and what might happen next. I loved it. This is my frank, freely posted review.
I have to admit to a good deal of confusion when reading his book simply because I had not read any of the previous books in the series, probably. I have read other books by Ms. Shannan and enjoyed them immensely so I was expecting to enjoy this one as well but the lack of enough of a backstory threw me. The writing was good and there was plenty of action so that part did live up to my previous experiences of books by this author. I will just have to read the previous books in the series in order to put this one into perspective.

Love that Saul gets his story and WOW what a story! It's full of suspense and action, babies and family. He had thought that he had his love until he met Lorelei. Now to keep her safe from the lions who killed his first mate. With the help of his tribe and others, they fight to free other women they're holding and finally get the lions who have caused him and others heartache. This Tribe and the residents in Mystery are wonderful and I love reading their stories. You don't need to read the others necessarily to enjoy this but why not, you won't be disappointed you did.
Saul's life isn't Mystery is good, has a strong clan and forging a new life on a new planet is strange but with cubs now he feels a part of something bigger. Every day is a new day for Lorelei, until a strange lion saves her and the Beginning of the soul bond heals her. Life in Mystery seems to be getting stranger by the day, danger, excitement and finding mates seem to happen more often. This is such a great addition to the Alaska tribe and I can't wait to read more.

The series is amazingly written. It takes shifters from another world that is dying and places them on Earth. As the series goes we meet more of the survivors from the doomed world. But like any species there are the good and the bad. In this story we meet both. Several new characters are met and more mates are possibly found. We watch as hearts and souls are healed. The danger brings death and pain to the small group in Mystery, Alaska. But they have become a family and will stand strong to protect even the newest members.
First time reading Krystal Shannan, well first time was book #1 and I've enjoyed reading the happenings and going on's in the little town of Mystery, Alaska and the growing tribe lead by Col. To me it's a page turner keeping me to the wee hours of the mornings. I love the series and recommend this series to others who love Dragons, shifters and true love stories as well as bonding friendships and kindness the world cam learn from. Pick up book #1 and enjoy this breath taking journey.
All's fair in lion and war is my favorite so far. Saul and Lorelei had a long hard road ahead of them but they made it. This couple had to endure so much heartache to get to where they needed to be. And Col. I loved him when we were first introduced to him but the futher along in the series we got, not so much. But he is finally starting to redeem himself again. I hope to see more of this series.
Omg!! People can b 2 evil!! This psycho thinks he's invincible and need flash that God complex will bite u in the ass soon enough when I least expect it. When she was saved she wasn't expecting certain things 2 come to light but her memory was coming back and changed her views on how she felt about certain things and people. But she needs 2 learn a few things about not judging people overall on things cause of certain things might b different than I think.

He was happy just helping out the clan he was the oldest and he lost his mate years ago, but then he saw her being a prisoner. She couldn't remember anything every day seems the same then he was there fighting to free her. The characters will take you through twists and turns through out their journey to find their fated mate.
Saul and Lorelei’s story is heartbreaking and has multiple PTSD Triggers for abuse , physical, verbal, mental and sexual. Please only read if it will not affect your hard one recovery. That being said it made me laugh and cry in equal measure and is one of the best stories in this series, so far. 5✨’s
All of the stories have been good. While reading this one your sense of the ever changing world around us becomes more apparent. Crime, justice, differences, similarities as well as the morphing of life - are the same regardless of where you come from. Love happens when you least expect it.

This is book 7 in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series. This is the story of Saul and Lorelei, both lion shifters from Reylea who are now inhabitants of earth after they transported through a magic portal while their world was collapsing. Both of them have lost their soulmates - Saul many years ago and he has accepted that part of his life is over. Lorelei lost hers at the time of Reylea’s destruction but due to magic she does not remember the loss or the flight to earth so she relives the horror of the new loss daily. The story begins when Saul rescues Lorelei from an evil pride of Reylean lions who have been keeping her hostage while simultaneously beating and starving her. Saul recognizes the soul call from Lorelei but is willing to also accept her refusal of it and simply support her as a new clan mate. Saul’s clan has to protect Lorelei but also defeat the evil clan of lions and free the other hostages. Like the other stories in this series, Saul and Lorelei’s story is filled with witty and engaging characters, heart racing moments, and a beautiful passion for love, justice and acceptance. I love the way the characters are portrayed as being so kind, compassionate, and thoughtful to each other as well as the humans in their adopted world. And the love stories never disappoint - I always feel all the feelings while they work through their issues. I cannot wait to read the next story of a HEA for one of the other Reyleans.
I love returning to the world of Mystery, Alaska and its stories of found family and community. In this story we see the world expand with new characters that promise many more stories to come.
Saul knew he'd never find his mate because he'd already lost her. He finds Lorelei being held prisoner and glowing. She has been tortured and her memories destroyed. The tribe is facing more trouble. An intriguing read.
Saul gets his story full of suspense and action in an enjoyable read. The only issue was confusion at times at certain parts which maybe got resolved for final publishing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Saul had previously lost his mate, so he's surprised when he meets a woman who is his mate. After rescuing her, his pack will need to fight to keep the shifters safe. A good paranormal romance.

This is a beautiful story of second chances. In life, in love the heart grows with second chances. Good characters and a great storyline. Nice to catch up with the others in Mystery as well.
I am totally in love with this tribe. As the family grows so does my interest in where the author will take you. This is truly great story and character building.
