I feel like 30% of this could have been cut out and the book still would have been good. The middle and end were exciting but they are dragging these out
This book was good but falls into a lot of the same tropes as the rest of the series. It trues too hard to depict the teens in all the major moments and conversations that happen in the core series. But without the plot and character connections of the core series, they simply feel forced and distracting here. There are also repetitive scenes here regarding salvation moments. Thise are fine, but I wish there were more creative ways to do it. I think the insistence of wannabe believers needing to audibly pray a salvation prayer adds to the repetitiveness. That said, there were good and unique moments here. Just not as many as in prior books.
Nicolae Carpathia demands the "mark." Vicki and the Stateside Young Trib Force must risk their lives to help believers held by the Global Community police force. A display of terror sends Israelis and Christ-followers fleeing from Jerusalem in search of safety. An evil time is coming. This book is more terrifying because it's based on future occurrences. The book of Revelations will happen. The antichrist will demand everyone get the "mark." I felt the tension, causing me to want to get closer to Jesus. Very good read. Onto the next one.
There are no words for how great this book was. I can’t tell you how many times I cried as the jr. trib force helped to bring more people to salvation. Also their were tears when one of their own was killed. This book saw many Christians beheaded for not taking the mark.
I also have to admit there are only two books left in the series and I don’t want it to end.
This one kept me on the edge of my seat. I am really enjoying this series even though I am not the targeted age group. If you like the Left Behind series these are a must read to go with them.
This book is about what happens when people start taking the antichrist's mark. Once they take his mark they cant come to Christ. So the Children try to convince people to not take the antichrist's mark.
