The battle lines are drawn and their war will be explosive!

This is top level hot! It’s pure erotica with some sweet (if slightly raunchy!) romance sprinkled in to smooth the way to a HEA.

The format of the opening scene was different and I was surprised to find myself reading the first POV by Payne without even realizing it. By the time we get to Cas’ POV the story is well under way and did feel a little rushed but honestly, the two MCs are so magnetic that I was only too happy to keep reading!

Payne is so tall and wide that he blocks out everything else from sight when he stands in front of someone who’s my size, which makes him the right size to wreck me.

It was definitely taboo, forbidden and smutty! Payne is a tough nut to crack for Cas, who’s never had to really work hard to get a guy’s attention. It was fun to see these two snipe at each other while they both fought their explosive attraction. The love/hate relationship these two start off with was more aggressive and antagonistic than I’m used to reading but you also definitely felt the underlining tension between them so much more because of it.

“You don’t need a drill sergeant . . . you need a Daddy.”

Payne sees right through the cracks of Cas’ walls and his initial assumptions about her are thrown out the window. He becomes her champion and her partner, and that connection made this book for me 😊 It became more than just a sexy read, it became a sweet romance between two characters that became a united front and stronger because of it.

Heat Level: 5/5 (It’s a bit on the rough/raunchy side – if that’s your kink, you’ll like!)

Swoon-worthy Moment: I loved that extended epilogue! Payne and Cas settled into domestic bliss, married and with babies! Yes, please!

MC ages: Cassandra is 20 and Payne is 40.
Triggers: promiscuous heroine, she acts out with booze and boys in a desperate attempt to get her parent’s attention. She’s not shy about her body or her wants and at one point decides to sleep with other guys when it becomes clear Payne wouldn’t give in. She is used to manipulating guys with her feminine wiles. Payne is a strict, heavy handed dominate guy. He calls the shots and his dominance is on full display around Cas. He is the king of dirty talk and kinky punishment.

Daddy Talk: Yes, Payne claims Cas and refers to himself as her Daddy.
Little Talk: No, this isn’t a DD/lg book in the sense that Cas doesn’t regress. Her Daddy is more her disciplinarian, rather than her caregiver.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Casandra is this spoiled little brat who have finally worked her parents last nerves thus prompting them to send her to Payne who lives in a military town and they are offering him money to his charity for home coming vets. Casandra has plans of her own which are to teach the grumpy old military guy to really leave her alone allowing her to be the brat she doesn’t think she if, but she failed to really think that through because he is military and understand attitudes more than the average. The two of them are at odds at first but she brings the protector in him and the daddy which he knows Casandra so desperately needs a daddy. Casandra opens up letting Payne in to why she continues to act out and when he does, he knows she has to protect her and has issues with her parents but where will it all lead?

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. I was glad that Cas (Cassandra) learned about consequences but also about actually being important to someone. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. It would have been perfect if Cas's dad had some kind of repercussions since he was such a jerk. Rose was a good friend even if she was a bit naive. Payne had an amazing amount of control, especially when dealing with Cas. Finding out more about Cas and how she grew up helped explain the way she was. Payne figuring out what Cas needed and Cas being accepting and welcoming about his decision took a lot of trust on both of their parts. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Payne and Cassandra (Cas). Cas is a spoiled rich girl who is always getting into trouble, so her parents sent her to stay with Payne for the summer in hopes of straightening her out. Payne is former military and now runs a charity to help former soldiers. Payne agreed to help Cas in exchange of her parents funding his charity. When Cas arrives, she is surprised at how hot Payne is and she thinks she will be able to get her way with him. Payne knows he is attracted to Cas, but he knows she is trouble. When Payne figures out Cas is just looking for attention, he knows she needs a Daddy and he wants it to be him. I liked this story. I liked Payne, he was an alpha who knew what he wanted and he wanted Cas. I liked Cas, she needed someone to show her she was worthy of love and i like how she brought out Payne's softer side.

It goes from Instalust to instalove. Her father shows up with his goons to take her home. Find out what happens. Love the characters and the chemistry between them is hot. Enjoyed the heck out of this story, its a fast paced story that is well worth reading.
Payne has been asked to set Cassandra straight after she has played up to much as a rich and spoiled brat, and in return her parents will give him money for his charity for home coming combat vets.
But what he didnt expect was was to lust for georgous young lady. ..
Cassandra is not all all amused that she has been sent here so she will try and teach this Grumpy daddy a lesson.

I thought that this was a really good book. We finally get Cas's book and it's about time she gets her own Daddy. Cas and Payne are great together. Cas is sent to Payne by her parents as a last ditch effort to "fix her", and "fix her" he does. I really enjoyed the connection and the chemistry between Cas and Payne. Cas will always have a naughty streak in her but now she has her daddy to "straighten" her out. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Jaye as a great author.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story was about Cassandra and Payne. Payne is ex military and helps with former soldier. Cass is a naughty bratty girl that is missing something in her life. There is this chemistry between them that they try and keep distance between them, until Cassandra decided to make him jealous. Payne took things into his own hands and punished her it was hot.

Cas has to go live with Payne in a military town because her parents are tired of her antics. Cas keeps trying to get Payne to cave into her. She has to tutor a girl named Rose. She gets Rose to help her. When Payne finally gives into Cas, he realizes Cas reasons for acting out. This causes problems with Cas's parents. This is an interesting read.

I wasn't sure what to expect out this book but was I absolutely surprised I actually loved it and hope they make this into a series. I love how Payne is helping the vets and wounded vets with his foundation and who doesn't need a a little daddys spankings. Cassandra is out of control and her parents send her to Payne but can he help her?

Sparks fly when Ca and Payne meet, though it isn't 100% the steamy hot ones! these two can really rev each other up, and when they finally let go, it gets hot enough to melt your panties off! This couple will build each other up to be better people, and is a fun short read. I thought it was entertaining and really enjoyed the epilogue.

An enjoyable, well written, engaging, funny, fast pace, emotionally deep, and relatable read. The characters are strong willed and likeable - Cassandra is emotionally broken and acts out for attention and Payne turned out to be the strength she needs; the chemistry between them is instant and hot. Nice read

First time reading this author. Really enjoyed. Cassandra is a spoiled rich girl always getting in trouble. Mainly for mention from her Dad. At their worst end her parents send her off to be with Payne who doesn't put up with spoiled brats. Once he realizes what she needs Cas changes her whole life around. Payne gave her what she needed and she's much better because of him

This is a great story and it goes by too quickly. Cas is sent to Payne and when she see the military men she thinks she hit the jackpot on hot guys. Payne is not so easy to manipulate. The chemistry between the two is off the pages and their interaction was wonderful. I liked Cas who is a spoiled brat and Payne is just the man to help her with that. Great characters and a wonderful story.

Cass is one serious brat and it seems like Payne is the only one to deal with her. When he learns who Cass is and what she needs, his protective, dominant instincts come out in full force and she learns what consequences are like but also what it means when someone is consistent with you. Enjoyable.

Cassandra is a spoiled wild child, but being made to stay with a stuffy ex marine for punishment is just too much. She'll make his grumpy old head spin. Turns out he may be older, but he is big and hard and not nearly as easy to torture as she thought. It takes Payne a little while to figure this annoying pain in the butt out, but once he does, the dominant daddy knows exactly what she needs.
