this is definitely my favourite SY novel so far and it was soooo close to being a 5 star read (my guilt may have me rounding this up later - we will see)!

i think this shows some of SYs best writing, best characters, and best story to date. i found the romance to be completely believable (not to mention steamy), the characters have really great depth, and the plot. oh my gosh. the plot is my favourite thing. the mystery surrounding the creepy messages and eerie break-ins had me hooked. i was susp

After being badly hurt as a Boston police officer, Robyn quits her job.
Now, a year later, she turned her photography hobby into a money-making business.
That's why she's in Scotland now. To take pictures ... and to see her father. She hasn't seen him in 14 years and she's pretty mad at everything relating to Mac.
Mac - not even 17 years when Robyn was born - went away to work as a bodyguard for a young Hollywood star when Robyn was not even a teenager.
And he's still w

Samantha Young has delivered an epic start to her new series with this book – an angsty and intense enemies-to-lovers romantic suspense that had me absolutely captivated from start to finish. I felt transported to the Scottish Highlands in this beautifully written story, and I loved the blend of romance, family drama, and an unpredictable suspense storyline that had me guessing right up to the very end. Such a great read, I loved it!

This is the story of Robyn and Lachlan. Robyn is a former cop from Boston who after almost dying on the job, quits, and travels to Scotland to confront her father. Lachlan is a former Hollywood actor that Robyn’s father works security for. The two clash right from the beginning, Robyn blaming Lachlan for her father being absent, and Lachlan being protective of his friend. When a dangerous stalker starts threatening guests on Lachlan’s estate, Lachlan and Robyn need to work together to

This was one of my most anticipating books, it has my fav tropes like enemies to lovers plus mystery and add the location, I really thought it was going to be my fav 2021 read but sadly i didn't enjoy it that much.

This was a thrilling and suspenseful romance that truly had everything.

From a romance perspective, this story and the main characters hit it off the chart in ALL ways. A hot enemies-to-lovers romance filled with dynamic chemistry, angst, and tension…need I say more? I also really liked both of the main characters as individual characters which may not seem important but believe me, it is.

From a suspense perspective, without giving anything away, I will say: expect the unexpected. I’m not often

I was completely lost in the highlands, with the Adair family, in the pages of this book, and I never wanted to come out. Here With Me is a breathtaking blend family drama, edge-of-your-seat suspense, and fiery chemistry. Samantha Young weaves together gorgeous prose, beautifully unique characters, and a love story that won’t leave you long after you’ve finished. Samantha Young has always been a one-click author for me. And while I have really loved several of her books, this book was EVERYTHING! I cannot tell you the last time a book totally consumed me like this one did, from the prologue when we read of Robyn as a police officer in Boston to the very last word. I binge read this book. A new crew of characters and their love stories set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands in a castle full of mystery. If anyone can do justice to that is author Samantha Young, since many of her books are already focused around Scotland and all of them have worked wonderfully. I love Samantha Young's books, and here in Here with me, the first book in her new series brings a captivating and intriguing story that takes place in a beautiful setting and that in today's times provides us with travels through reading.

Here we have the story of Lachlan Adair, a former actor and Robyn Penhaligon, a former police officer who goes to Scotland in search of answers. The relationship between the two starts tense and full of animosity, but it doesn't take long for an attra

I love a good romantic suspense read and Here With Me reminded me very much of a Nora Roberts read in that genre. I think that's a pretty high accolade. This was a long book but it didn't feel it.

The meeting of a Bostonite and a Scot on a highland estate was the premise for this read but there was a rich plot of Robyn's estrangement from her dad, Mac and some sinister goings on at the exclusive club that Lachlan owned.

"You're worth everything."

I have been anticipating this series for a while now, and happily I can say I was not disappointed. Often I find that my high expectations will set me up for a let down. But not today. With that said, I will say that both Lachlan Adair and Robyn Penhaligan were not my ideal H/h couple. Even though I do love an enemies to lovers trope, I have to admit that these two both started out rubbing me the wrong way. But as they came together, I found myself liking the

I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint!

Robyn who is the main character is trying to reconnect with her father and I really loved their story together and trying to workout their issues.

Robyn also falls in love with Lachlan who is a good friend to her father and at first they don’t like each other very much and to me these are the best type of romance stories because it’s just so fun to read with all the back and forth bickering.

I really loved Robyns dad (MAC). I really hop

This book was interesting at first. It had me intrigued mostly by how Robyn and her dad, Mac, were going to hash out and attempt to repair their relationship rather than the big 'mystery' of the stalker. As the book progressed though and Robyn and Mac finally talk about the past I became mostly annoyed with the plot and a little bored, honestly. *There might be some mild spoilers in this review but nothing exposing who the stalker is.*

I went into this one hoping for "On Dublin Street" romantic suspense edition.
Did the book deliver? Nope. Neither on the "On Dublin Street" friends and family vibe nor the suspense side of it. And what of the romance? Meh.

Getting into the story was tedious, the first 20% triggered my DNF button a few times but I soldiered on. My tenacity to wish for the best certainely backfired on me.
I've had a hard time appreciating the characters—especially Lachlan and even more issues with the intrigue. It do

Here With Me was a binge-worthy read full of twists, turns, sexy broody men, kick-ass women, and passion.

I read a lot of simple plot Romance, it's what I like. Quick and easy love stories. But Here With Me was multi-dimensional and there was so much depth that I became so utterly consumed by the story. I loved the characters and the enemies to lovers aspect was strong but solid and I loved seeing Lachlan and Robyn grow into friends and then lovers. The supporting cast was stellar and I can't wa

Hummm... I don't know how to rate this one. On the plus side, Samantha Young is a fantastic writer. She knows how to suck you in and lead you through a story. I loved the mystery in this one. That's what kept me going. I had to know who dune it. See if I was right about my guess.

On the flip side, I didn't really connect with either Robyn or Lachlan. These two gave me virtigo with the up and down and all around they did with each other. I was way more interested in the side

I loved this book! Send me to Scotland to solve a mystery with a sexy man any day (or every day) of the week.

The setting of this book was one of the draws and a reason I was so excited to read. Samantha Young wrote about the Scottish Highlands so beautifully that now I need to go there. There is something so magical and broody (yet comforting) about a small village surrounded by rolling hills and frequently overcast weather. Is it just me?

"I love you, And yet, somehow right now, I hate you too."

My first book by Sam, like most of us, was On Dublin Street. And that's when I became obsessed with her and developed a girl crush. The thing that makes her an insta buy author for me is the heart that she puts into her novels. She doesn't just create these fictional beings, to me, and a lot of her readers, they are living, breathing souls. And I can't stop falling in l

I was looking forward to ‘going’ to Scotland with Samantha Young. Boy did she deliver! This age-gap, slow burn, enemies to lovers, angsty romantic suspense set in Scotland took my breath away!
I am not much of a suspense book kind of girl but if it’s written by one of my go-to author, I’m all for it!
Here With Me got me hooked from the get go..It got me constantly guessing (I am no Sherlock Holmes).
As for Lachlan and Robyn…*Bliss*
I loved their chemistry…sizzling, angsty, and off the charts hot!
