Amazing Book.

Better Off Guilty by Lindsey Lamar is a book of two divergent character sketch with the similarities and dissimilarities to show the readers the contrast of the situational crisis. The book had covered the inner emotions of the character in the deepest sense.

So, this book is focused on the girl Abril and how her life is as an arsonist as her father turned her into this trade even without asking her and deigning her was straight up death. It was fascinating and tragic at the same time to read how her father responded the entire time and actually rendered Abril’s life a nightmare. All the stuff he did where so cruel so I was really interested to see what happens in the end and how all the lives transform upside down. In the other side we have max who is trying to make her life easier but was not able to because with all that her cousin sister too is dead now, and she was really dear to Abril. Being an investigator prosecutor, her mother is looking forward for max to dig into the matter and figure out how her sister was murdered.

The tale has two weak protagonists as protagonist who are doing all to make their lives easier but they have to go how it is as they have no other choice but the things shift and they come to an ending which is a really different for both of them. the sketch which the author portrayed with certain elements of mystery is surely a cherry on the cake for the readers.

The novel is a fun piece of fiction and a decent read for me and for you as well if you like murder mystery and fiction. From this book you can get to know more about the work of the arsonist and the entire situation of becoming a pen arsonist. Which is educating in itself. A sure recommendation for all.

Amazing Book. 💯😍

“Manipulation is an intoxicating fight for control “ by Lindsey Lamar

So this book consist of a story of an arsonist and a young investigator and how vulnerable their live is and how they deal with it . A nice price of suspense and a well done job at presenting the story .I really enjoyed reading the book and waiting so long to finally know what happened as it was such a well built plot of the story .

So this book is based on the girl Abril and how her life is as an arsonist as her father turned her into this profession even without asking her and deigning her was straight up death . It was intriguing and sad at the same time to read how her father reacted the whole time and literally made Abril’s life a hell . All the things he did where really inhuman but I was really curious to know what happens in the end and how all the lives turn up side down .

On the other hand we have max who is struggling to make her life better but was not able to and with all that her cousin sister also is dead now , and she was very close to abril . Being a investigator detective her mother is looking forward towards max to look into the matter and find out how her sister was killed .

The story has two vulnerable characters as protagonist who are trying everything to make their life better but they have to go how it is as they have no other options but the things change and they come to a ending which is a very different for both of them .

The book is a nice work of fiction and a good read for me and for you as well if you like murder mystery and fiction . From this book you will get to know more about the jobs of the arsonist and the whole scenario of being a pen arsonist . Which is educating in itself .

Its a shirt book approx 200 pages and so it makes it easy to read the character development takes a little time but once they are prepared it becomes easy to deal with the story and the rest of the book goes smoothly . So murder mystery lovers this one is for you try it out as soon as you can.

This book has some twists throughout with foreshadowing that keeps you guessing if you’re right. Then it all combusts with a super tragic climax that I didn’t love, but I guess that’s due to me hoping somethings have happy endings. In a way this story does, in an unexpected ending that wraps everything up with a bow.

I was super surprised to find out the author is 23 and from Austin. She uses a lot of particularly British words (“jumper” “holiday” “brilliant”) that I would never use writing in Chicago residents perspective and being from Austin myself

Loved the way the book swapped between two seemingly disconnected characters, I felt like the ending was a little rushed but probably just because I wanted more details about how it all turned out! Overall great thriller.

This book is a great start to a very promising career! At first I was a bit bewildered when I encountered the different character point of views but after finishing this book I have a new appreciation for this kind of writing. The book wasn't cliché which I liked very much. It's not predictable either, which keeps you on the edge of your seat. I am a fan of books that showcase the human condition, and this one certainly does that. Lindsey's passion for writing shows in her work and I am honored to have read her very first book baby and look forward to witnessing her career!
