Sometimes Goodbye Duet #2

From Where You Are

Three years ago my life was turned upside down.
I felt like I was left barely breathing.
But four months ago, everything changed.

Radley Cooper walked into my life
and taught me how to breathe again.
She had scars of her own, bruises that
I was determined would fade away
if I just loved her enough.

But all it took was a moment.
Secrets unraveled, our bits of broken
that we thought we could survive,
wedged their way in between us
and refused to stay hidden.

We were stronger than any secret.
Radley was my fate,
permanently imprinted on my soul.
There wasn’t a length she could run t
hat I wasn’t willing to travel to bring her back to me.
There was no way I’d do anything less
than fight for her.

... Annie Emerson's debut novel's conclusion.

This duet lost its appeal. This continuation was too much for me. It turned exaggeratedly emotional. And it became tiring and repetitive. Bringing up something once, twice, or even thrice is enough. I felt the sincerity the first time they said those words, but they lost its fire when they kept on talking those things over and over again. However, even though they talked and made promises a lot to never leave each other no matter what, it was like a bubble instantly popped when a problem came up.

Note: This is a young adult romance.

"Whatever we become; I’ll always remember us the way we were."

From Where You Are is the second book in the Sometimes Goodbye ls A Second Chance duet.

I loved the first book, but not this one. I adored the hero in the previous book, and still, in this one. I felt like he was the only memorable thing that happened in the story. I felt like he's the only one who fought for their relationship. I loved how he developed in the last book, but I loved him more when he grew more and more in the second one. Two of the things that I admired the most about this character was that he never made a promise that he didn't intend to keep and his heart that could love so deeply and unwaveringly.

"I promise that when she gets mad at me, I’ll fight, that when she tells me to leave, I’ll stay and fight. If she tells me to walk away, I promise to follow and fight. I promise to never give up on her, the only thing that could separate me from Radley is God Himself.”

I admired the heroine in the first one, but she completely lost me to care for her in this one. All she ever did in the story was run when there's a problem. She didn't fight if she wasn't told to. I didn't like that she even had the audacity to share her opinions about the right thing to do in a relationship. But when it came to herself, she didn't apply. I understood that she needed to forgive and be forgiven. But making Meekai suffer for everything that happened that he even wasn't responsible for? Her reasons for this, I think were just a bit shallow.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was absolutely well-written. The writing captivated me. There is depth and good development. I hated the hypocrisy of some of the secondary characters, but I was really intrigued that I would love to read if they have their own stories. A great duet for a start.

I recommend this to those who likes: Annie Emerson, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, sports, high school, second chance, emotional read, and a happily ever after.

"Anyone can let go, but not just anyone can hang on."

Trigger Warning: Vivid depiction of sexual assault.

Last month, I was introduced to an incredible debut author, Annie Emerson. Her debut book, Thirteen Hours From Here (Sometimes Goodbye Duet #1) was mind blowing. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. This month we are presented with the conclusion to her debut duet.

Let me start by saying, sometimes we are presented with different books in our life that we never knew we needed. We may have fallen 100% in love with them, because it filled a certain part within us. We read to escape, to laugh, to fall in love, to avenge the downtrodden, among other reasons. Something that I did not expect while reading FWYA is the cerebral component (I will get to that in a little bit). Ms. Emerson has a way of mixing all these components exceptionally well.

Radley and Meekai gave me the fate, love and avenging I was searching for. Gamma, holy Toledo, Gamma gave me the hilarious, knock me on my butt and the sage advice that I longed to hear, and Annie, Annie gave me the cerebral component. What Cerebral means to me is the ‘make you genuinely think’ about certain topics, whether good or bad and explore them. How do you really feel? Does that component take away from a story? The ‘keep me on my toes’ that sometimes is missing in a book. This is not a fluff story, but a true, heartwarming and life-altering read.

"Me: You do know that 1 in5 pregnancies occur over FaceTime, right? Please be safe and Lysol your cell!"

Kai and Radley are put to the test in this second half. Is their love strong enough to face whatever obstacles come their way? Who will stand with them? Who will be opposed? All topics, sensitive or otherwise, were handled with the delicacy that would not offend the reader, yet gave you ALL the thoughts, emotions and feelings attributed with them.

"Never broken, only bent."

There was a roller coaster of emotions that Radley and Meekai went through which also reverberated through me. The push/pull and angst ridden was front and center. The perfect combination of back and forth, while continuing to trudge on forward.

"Anyone can let go, but not just anyone can hang on."

Radley and Meekai, along with their secondary cast of characters are all fleshed out and give you the true familial feeling, whether they are true family or not. Overall, I am 100% in love with this duet and cannot wait for more from Annie Emerson. This duet will definitely be on my top of 2021 list.

"Just you, me, and the rest of our forevers."

The beautiful conclusion to this heart wrenching duet. This book like the last had me in tears because of the pure and gut wrenching heart ache.

This one will take you on a roller coaster of emotions but it will be so worth it in the end. Radley is such a strong woman and this whole book leading up to her happiness made me want to keep reading.

Annie’s writing is so captivating and raw, which is what made me love this book so much. I highly recommend this duet as it’s such a beautiful depiction of true love.

This book was such a fabulous conclusion to Annie Emerson's debut duology. It was beautifully written with so much raw, unfiltered emotion. The characters developed so much as they learned to grow on their own and I admire the sentiment that you need to find strength in yourself.
And whilst I'm not usually a huge fan of the soulmate/destined to be together trope, Annie managed to make it wonderfully captivating and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“He was my perfect poetry, and I was his.”Annie Emerson

A truly breathtaking story about fate, love, loss, family, friends, grief and forgiveness.

Kai and Radley are everything and fate truly played a huge part in their life.

This duet delivers if I do say so myself, the characters growth from book one to book two the strength it takes to overcome so much.

Annie delivered on the romance, laughter, and oh the angst did she ever. She is one of my favorite new authors of 2021!

The conclusion to Thirteen Hours to you will definitely leave you with all types of feelings through out the entire book.

The emotional ride these books gave were so worth it, the being able to relate to them was everything. Being left breathless at times with tear stained cheeks I would say a job well done.

Absolutely beautiful & heartbreaking!

Goodness, what an amazing duet this was! The pain, suffering, secrets and the healing was such a journey.

I’m so glad I’ve experienced these books and so grateful to the author for creating them, as mentioned in my review for book one, as a lot of the topics and pain hit very close to home. They both held the perfect amount of twists and turns, beauty and pain.

My only dislike was the decision Radley made when she found out the final ‘truth’ and how long it took for her to realise her mistake. More proof that darling boy Kai is worth the world.

From where you are is a conclusion of the story of Kai and Radley. Annie delivers a fantastic book, blown away by the character development.

This story is a roller coaster of emotions. I was holding my breath a couple of times because of the angst. Omg, how much they have to endure, but their love, tenacity, and strength were incredible.
Annie did an excellent job.

I'm in love with this second book is so good, I
recommend it 100%.

From Where You Are is book #2 in the Sometimes Saying Goodbye is a Second Chance duet. Book #1 Thirteen Hours to You must be read first! Annie Emerson concluded this story beautifully! From Where You Are picks up from the ending of Thirteen Hours to You. Radley and Meekai have a special place in my heart; they are one of my favorite fictional couples and I absolutely loved reading their story. The character growth in FWYA is outstanding! Radley and Meekai's path to one another was definitely an emotional touching journey. However, in the second half of the book, an unexpected revelation was brought to light and it caused a rift in their relationship. It broke my heart, to see Radley's actions towards Meekai. I mean, I get where she's coming from, and yes Radley was in a vulnerable place, however Meekai didn't deserve it. I had a very heavy heart while I was reading that particular part of the book, it was most certainly emotional. The roles were reversed, now, Radley was fighting for Meekai. And, despite all odds, Meekai and Radley pulled through and found their way back to each other.

From the very first page, I loved how the plot unravelled. Meekai, as always, was so understanding and he really helped Radley get through her traumas. When things got difficult he didn't leave, he plowed through, never giving up on Radley. In turn, unawarely Radley was also helping Meekai, he also experienced heart breaking incidents that affected him deeply. Radley and Meekai are each others' much needed remedy; a salvation, safe haven. The healing process wasn't easy, especially what Radley experienced. However, she found the courage to come face-to-face with her past head on. Radley was finally able to close that chapter in her life. Of course, she couldn't do it without Meekai's or her family's and friends' help.

My gosh!! The plot twists!! It shocked me! I loved how Annie Emerson focused a bit more on the side characters in FWYA. Each character had their own stories and wounds. It really enhanced my reading experience. And I'm so happy that Radley finally found happiness in her small group of friends! She felt safe and loved, hence it has been such a long time since she felt that way. Annie! Please tell me, that you are considering either another duet or a standalone?! Because, I need more of Wyatt and Becca, Linc and Brooks!! Overall, this is an amazing duet, I highly recommend it! Your emotions will be heightened. Personally, it shattered me to see what Radley went through. And, as I continued reading my emotions changed drastically. It's a heartbreaking and heartwarming read. I fell in love with the characters and storyline. I'm flabbergasted! Sometimes Saying Goodbye is a Second Chance duet is Annie Emerson's debut duet!! I knew this before I read Thirteen Hours To You, but I didn't expect myself to absolutely adore Annie's work!! And I cannot wait to see what Annie has in store for us! I just know whatever she writes, her work will be amazing!! And thank you so much Annie, for the shoutout in your acknowledgement! I deeply touched and truly honoured.

✨Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The duet is finally complete and part 2 is my favorite of the duet. Book 1 took us into an emotional ride , full of moments of trust and fate.
But prepare yourself for Book 2 because it’s jaw dropping, unexpected and just extremely good .

Radley has been through an indescribable amount of pain. But now we get to see her bloom into a beautiful flower full of radiant and beautiful colors who is ready to give herself fully and love deeply not only in her relationship with Meekai but also in terms of friendship and family .

Meekai , my sexy heartthrob , literally a saint , I’m pretty sure this is one of the few books where the main guy is hot as hell but not mean to the main girl. His an example of the perfect dream book-boyfriend. The way he loves and cares for Radley is beyond comprehension and just incredibly romantic.
How deeply they love each other is just beautiful to experience and their chemistry is just out of this galaxy hot.

“From where you are “ takes Radley and Meekai into a rollercoaster of events of unexpected twists and turns that will make us cry and angry all at the same time.
Where destiny puts their love into a test that has to survive the most devastating secrets and events that unfold throughout the story . It’s a book that’s it’s going to make you feel every emotion possible.
One of my favorite things about this duet is not only the incredible love story between the main characters but the secondary characters as well . I love how friends and family have a deep and meaningful place in the story and each was written to feel very real and present, with their own independent storylines.

This duet is about taking the second chances life gives you . To grow from the pain and trust the ones that will jump of a bridge for you . It’s a story about forgiveness and moving on. Of understanding that destiny has his own plans no matter the way you go , you’re always destined to find the same finish line. This duets hold a very important piece of my heart and I’ll forever be grateful to Annie for allowing me to be a part of this journey and reading it from the raw state until now. I’ve had the best time getting to see this story unfold into what it is today with such relatable characters .

A love story that is indescriptible.
Every detail carefully written and very authentic. Full of hours of dedication and hard work that were transmitted into this story .
I had the most wonderful time with this duet , I can’t recommended it enough , it’s so worth your time.

Fate. I'm a true believer; however, fate doesn't always work in our favor.

A lot of this story relies on fate. Do you believe that fate brings people together? Tears them apart? Sets events in motion before we're even made aware? Do you believe that there are times when something or someone sends us a sign to push us in the right direction?

I was a little anxious going into the second book of the Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance duet 1) because of the cliffhanger from book one and 2) because I was pretty sure that I knew exactly where the story was headed and I wasn't sure that I was ready to deal with it. Well, let me tell you...it wasn't the first reason that I really needed to be worried about, and although I was right about part of the story (giving myself a clap on the back for that), that was only a small part of the drama to come. This story took a turn that I did not see coming, and threw me for a loop that I wasn't sure was going to straighten itself out.

Radley and Kai's relationship has been tested, and Kai is willing to fight to keep the girl that he knows was made just for him. There are still secrets between them though, and as those secrets are revealed, the truth may prove to be too much for them to survive.

I felt that part 1 of this duet packed an emotional punch, but part 2 brought even more feels. As with the first book, there are some serious triggers here for some readers. My heart broke for both Radley and Kai, but I hurt for Kai even more in this book. His character is so vulnerable, and he believes so strongly in a fate (and faith) that seems to have turned it's back on him. I actually found myself getting upset with Radley at times in spite of all that she'd been through. Even their friends' stories brought out the emotions as we learn more about them and their pasts. I like so many of the secondary characters in this duet. I really hope to see this turn into an inter-connected series.

I enjoyed part 2 of this story as much as (if not more than) part 1, and I pretty much read it in one sitting. I needed to get to the end; I needed to know that this couple would get the HEA that they both deserved. This is a great debut from a new author, and I recommend adding it to your TBR.

4 stars. In this second installment and concluding installment of the Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance duet, we pick up right where the previous book left off and are thrown into an emotional whirlwind. A whirlwind in general, really.

It's not just about bringing the plot arcs to a close, but emotional and personal development for Radley and Meekai. Fate plays a big, big role in their connection, but is it enough? That's what they have to find out, and Emerson goes in for the punches. Some of these punches were surprises that had my jaw on the floor (figuratively speaking, of course). So if you're diving into this one, get ready for them.

Although the storytelling overall follows the general format that these kinds of books do, I did like later in the novel when Emerson played around a bit with how Radley and Meekai were narrating what was happening and how they were processing their, shall we say, struggles. There was a bit of a back and forth going on that really leant to the structure of the story very well.

Final thoughts: Both of these books were enjoyable. I liked the characters (especially Radley) and was invested in their stories. Was it a bit repetitive at times? Yes. Some of it can be forgiven because it's believable to how the characters might behave. Was there some gratuitous sex? Also yes. I'm not bothered by those kinds of scenes in novels and know to expect them in certain genres, but there were times with these books that it felt a bit much or misplaced. Or maybe it's just different than how I would respond to situations. Who's to say?

All that rambling to say, good duet! As I've said before, the cover of the first book drew me in, and I'm glad I gave it a shot. :)

From Where You Are by Annie Emerson is the fabulous, emotional conclusion to the Sometimes Goodbye Duet. Radley and Meekai’s love is put to the test in this book. They deal with so much and I felt the raw emotion Annie Emerson tried to convey. I love these two and the supportive characters. The character development through both books was amazing as these characters grow to tackle the issues of their past.

The strength of Radley and Meekai’s love is something to strive for. Despite the odds being against them and circumstances pushing them away from each other. These two are fated to be together. Meekai and Radley lean on each other for support and healing. The emotional rollercoaster of their relationship was intense, heart-wrenching, and pulled at my heartstrings. I don’t think I can convey how much I loved these two and their book.

The unexpected plot twists in this book are truly phenomenal and Annie has written a beautiful tale of fate, love, loss, trauma, family, and friends. You’ll experience a whirlwind of emotions in this book, from laughter to tears. From Where You Are will leave you emotional and in awe of the sheer strength and resilience of these characters.

Wow! I have got to admit - I absolutely adored the second part of the duet! I loved it more than the first one!!

There was so much angst and emotion in this one and we got to see the development of the characters and how their story concludes. It definitely was a roller coaster of emotions and some shocking revelations come out as well.

Meekai and Radley were the sweetest, cutest book characters. I love how they fulfill each other and how good they are for each other. I mean they have been through so much pain and know exactly what each one is feeling. I found it so cute with Radley and her graphic tees and Meekai with his Spotify links! Music definitely explains a lot when you don't have the right words!

I also liked the fact that we got to see the secondary characters and their stories as well. All of Kai and Radley's friends and their families as well. And let's be honest - I adore Gamma! She is the sweetest!

This was definitely an amazing read and a perfect ending to the duet! I definitely recommend it!

P.S Thank you Annie for providing me with an ARC in return for my honest opinion.

Beautifully written 🥹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely love this duet. It took hold of my heart and would not let go till the end. An emotional roller coaster that was more than worth riding again and again. One I will definitely come back to.
I cant believe this duet is Annie’s debut! I am now and forevermore a die hard fan 💜

⭐️ Spoilers ahead ⭐️

Radley and Meekai are goals! They have the most intimate and beautiful relationship 🥰
The intricate details added in to the story, you can’t miss them, wait for them, they come back to make this the most sweetest and inevitable ending!

Not only is Rads and Kai’s relationship epic, I love that we follow along with Wye and Becca, who’ve also had to fight for their HEA. Brooks and Linc, very enemies to lovers. Ben and Amy’s relationship progression, adding another depth to the grief and self awareness of both Radley and Ben.
I’m so happy for them all! They finally found happiness!

TW’s side, SA - Radley finally gets her revenge on all those who wronged her! She is such a strong woman and I’m glad she was able to stand up and fight. We all need to take a page from her and Meekai and FIGHT!

Strap yourselves in for this roller coaster of emotions you will feel when reading this epic conclusion to Radley and Meekai's story! Emotional, heart wrenching, and down right beautiful this story pulled at my heart strings! I swear this book had me laughing and crying most of the night whilst reading this. Meekai and Radley have soo much to overcome in this book. Secrets are revealed and revelations happen and this book is full of twists and turns you didn't see coming.

Radley grows so much in this book. She overcomes some of her fears, learns to deal with situations not many people will ever face in their life and still comes out strong in the end like the boss she is! Kai and Rads relationship is tested when secrets are revealed and revelations about what really happened with not only Radley's rape but what happened to her Mum. I can say that I did NOT see that coming at all, like I didn't even get an inkling that this may be an option to this storyline.

I loved their ending and honestly would love to see an epilogue of them in the future

Oh my God what an angst fest!!! So many emotions packed into this book!
The conclusion to the Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance Duet is brilliant and I couldn't have asked for more.

From Where You Are is the continuation of Meekai and Radley's journey to their HEA..one I was worried, so many times, they wouldn't get!
The highs and lows in this book are extreme and the twists were unexpected.
It didn't seem fair at one point that they had to go through so many obstacles but we as romance readers believe in true love and fate right? So fighting for that true love and being worthy of it is what this is all about and what gives us satisfaction when reading a romance novel. This story had all of that and more.
Annie Emerson really smashed my heart with this one and this duet is one that will live in my heart forever.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this new author and I can't wait to see what she has in store next🥰

As soon as I saw this book in my kindle library I had to pick it up. The ending of the first book had me worried for Radley and Meekai’s future and I needed to see whether they’d make it through.

This book was everything I hoped it to be and more. It picked up right from where we left off with Radley and Meekai fighting for their relationship. One would think that that was the last obstacle they’d face, but Annie threw them curveball after curveball.

This book was so much more about two teens falling in love. It was gritty, raw, emotional and at times sappy. This book had me smiling, laughing, screaming in frustration and crying.

Radley and Meekai are two bent people who come together with the help of fate. I’m not normally a believer of soul mates and true love, but the way the universe aligned to make them come together was truly incredible.

Annie Emerson has written an incredible duology.

“Convince me, Radley. Convince me to come home home to you and leave me with no other choice.”-Meekai

Look at Meekai isn’t he a hottie 🔥🔥. Well let’s say that if I was emotional with the first book, this one broke me. I cried like a lot because here their relationship is being put to test. It started out good and it was wonderful for a while. But fate brought them together right? but it also tore them apart. Something big happened in their past, they are not to blame. But someone close to them is responsible for someone’s death. It hurt me so much because they hurt and they are supposed to be together. Radley hurt Meekai and I wasn’t sure if they were going to make it. At last she realized that she couldn’t live with out him, I’m glad because If not I was not going to be happy about it 😂. I’m sad and happy that this ended. A story about a love so powerful that nothing could keep them apart. Thank you Annie Emerson for making me love these two beautiful souls❤️.

This is the 2nd and concluding part of this phenomenal duet, Radley and Meekai are both broken souls who fate has destined to be together. Their relationship is tested when secrets are revealed, and they have challenges to overcome along the way. Radley has come out stronger and more resilient as she has overcome her fears and is learning more from situations. I loved Gamma and her sound advice. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and is heartwrenching and life altering, with secrets, healing, angst, twists, turmoil, and this is one of those thought-provoking tales which pulls at the heartstrings throughout. I am truly in awe of this talented author and the fantastic job she had done in weaving this tale. I look forward to reading more from this gifted author and I recommend her work. Be aware there may be triggers for some readers due to the sensitive content!

This author doesn’t just write words. Her emotions leak into them bringing them to life. The sweet innocence of new love was all enrapturing and I wanted the two characters to fight for what they deserved and never stop fighting. But be forewarned, this story is intense. All the things I needed to happen took on a twist I never saw coming and all my expectations were far surpassed. I love how Radley jokingly refers to Meekai as being vulnerable and is able to finish his sentences. Cracked me up every time. And Meekai was there backing her up in all the hard things. The plot twists in this story are epic and I NEVER saw them coming. Hold on for a bumpy and emotional ride because once you’re strapped in, you can’t (and won’t want to) get out! I did not want this story to end! It blew my mind and ended the duet perfectly! I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of Radley and Meekai. AND—this book releases today! Go grab the duet! You won’t be disappointed!

This is the book tow in the Second Chance duet & oh my goodness was this book amazing! This is going to be a bit of a brief review as there is so much I want to say but can’t without giving the story away.  First off, I want to warn you that this book will make you cry, full on ugly cry. Annie Emerson has done a phenomenal job at making you go through a whole range of emotions with this one.

The answers that we got in this book were nothing like I expected. I was thrown completely from what I anticipated to occur at the end of book 2. So many twists on this journey & I am so glad that I took each one. All the feels, bring Kleenex for this one.

If you haven’t stated this duet you absolutely need to. This was an amazing pair of books & book 1 was Annie’s debut novel. I am so excited to see what other stories she has to tell us.

What for a perfect conclusion to Annie's duet!
I went through every emotion possible.
Highs and lows.
Love and heartbreak.

Secrets unraveled that finally sat Radley free. But I had goosebumps and was speechless because of the cruelty whilst reading the scene.

I wanted to scream at Radley at some point and shake some sense into her. I'm still shocked because of the decision she made ... Meekai did so much for her and she resent him for something he wasn't even responsible for.
Thanks to Brooks for telling her the words I would've told her.

Also - Kai, my precious boy (I really was in momma bear mode for him) ... I hoped so much that he wouldn't make it that easy for Radley ... gawd, broke my heart.
Well, my heart broke and bled and made happy dances throughout the book.

I highly recommend this debut duet.

All I truly say is WOW !! This is such a Epic conclusion to the Sometimes Goodbye Is a Second Chance Duet .It literally blew me away from the very first page . I was not only hooked but completely invested in Meekai and Radley’s beautiful love story . It’s the perfect blend of messy yet emotional, heartbreaking yet perfect . One of the things I loved most was how it ever so brilliantly ( gets the message across , about forgiveness , and how important it is in life . It’s about trust and fighting for not only yourself but for the people in your life that matter most . I cried , I laughter , it very simply stole my heart . There were many twists and turns, that will surprise you . Believe me when I say , you will find yourself on the edge of your seat throughout the whole boook . Perfect conclusion!!! I adored every single minute.

From Where You Are by Annie Emerson is the powerful continuation of Thirteen Hours to You, told once again in first person through the dual POV of Meekai and Radley. And OMG, this one had me completely gripped from start to finish. 🔥💔

It’s emotional, raw, and full of twists and turns, one in particular that I did not see coming (and trust me, that’s rare for me!). This story dives deep into survival, trust, and the messy, imperfect reality of love. And yes… the characters frustrated me to no end, I was literally yelling at my Kindle at 2 a.m. and may or may not have DM’d the author to vent, celebrate, and question everything. 😂📱

But that’s exactly what makes this story so believable. People are stubborn. People make mistakes. They don’t always do what they should and that’s what makes Meekai and Radley’s journey so real, raw, and relatable. This isn’t a perfect love story, and that’s precisely why it’s perfect to me. ❤️‍🩹

Annie Emerson has cemented herself on my list of top Australian dark romance authors, right alongside Margaux Paris. If you love the emotional depth and intensity of Chloe Walsh’s books, you need to read both of these incredible Australian talents.

FROM WHERE YOU ARE leaves me with so many emotions coursing through me.
This duet was so full of emotions that I feel throughout reading Both the book ps: even got teared up a little bit YUP I DID.

IT WAS SO LOVING TO WATCH how the Radley and Kai characters develop, really heartwarming how with everything they experienced and went through how much they have learned and how they have grown.
This duet makes me feel raw, giving me intense vibes, making me emotional, making me feel like my heart was recking and also loving.
And let's not forget about how difficult it was for Radley and Kai and all the angst burning sensation feelings.
And also I Burn with anger to get the avenge but this story also somewhat makes me want to laugh. I love how this duet has everything like family, friends and how to FORGIVE.
Annie Emerson writing style is Fabulous. I love this duet and so looking forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Loved this duet, Meekai & Radley’s relationship was sad & frustrating at times throughout the story but it was also heartfelt and beautiful to read. They had there far share of ups and downs due to there own struggles and pasts and I definitely shed a few tears while reading this duet but it was well worth it.

I especially Loved Meekai the way that he treated Radley (aka his Purple-eyed Girl) was perfect, he was loyal, patient & provided her with an all knowing, all consuming love that was clear to see from the beginning of there relationship. I would 100% claim Meekai as mine if he wasn’t a fictional character.

I would highly recommend this duet well worth the read and the 5 stars for me!

Loved the second book of this duet series. The characters were so well-developed and the emotions I felt while reading the story were so real and raw.

There were so many twists, it kept me guessing. I loved how well-thought-out the plotline was, and how everything came together in the end.

In this book, we really get to explore and experience Radley and Meekai's love and the rollercoaster ride they endure to find their happy ending.

A love story for the books

This was a beautiful addition to Radley and Meekai’s love story. There were so many twists and turns and your heart goes right along with with it. The love of family really shines through all of the dark and twisted parts of this story and makes you grateful for what you have. It gives you a beautiful closure of sorts, but also leaves you desperate for more!
