Until a year ago, my life in Denver was nearly picture perfect; I had my dream job as a nurse in a level one trauma center, my handsome trauma surgeon fiancé and I were blissfully happy, and we had built our forever home we planned to spend forever in. Just weeks before our wedding, the ideal life I knew took an unexpected turn when my fiancé’s mistress came forward with her pregnancy.

Being newly single at thirty-one, the last thing I had envisioned for myself was to return to my hometown of Sunnyville. Until now, I have successfully avoided this town for the last eight years, thanks to Tank Easton. Broody, sexy, lying, beautiful, selfish jerk.

Who just happens to be my brother’s best friend.

Knowing there is no way to avoid Tank, I plan to put our one-night stand behind us and start anew. Be cordial. Possibly become friends eventually, for my brother’s sake. Life is too short to hold grudges. Forgive and forget, right?

Harder said than done.

Trish Williford’s Repair is a steamy, sweet, second chance, contemporary romance written in K. Bromberg’s Everyday Heroes World project.

This is literally a book I am going to recommend to everyone. The story was so good, it had a dash of touching moments as well as romantic drama and and inner pain among the characters that you could not help but feel for!

This book literally hooked me from the start. It showed me yes sometimes life can be a jerk especially when all is going perfect, and sometimes too perfect and everything you know and well trust and love comes crashing down on you and you do not know how to figure where to go in the fork in the road, but yet sometimes that decision is the very best one you could possibly make, without even knowing it!

This was exactly what happened to a lead character whom had the preference to go by the name of Charlie. She had the perfect life. A good job. Wonderful fiancé whom loved her so, and their wedding fast approaching. In a blink of an eye all of that and more in her soul as well as her heart was gone. Her wonderful husband to be ended up being a liar in more ways than one and Charlie was left in the end with a broken heart. And having to pick up the pieces onto where to start over again and basically continue on with this thing we call life.

Charlie goes back to her home town, a town she wanted to leave and forget and never think of re visiting. There are some good memories there sure, but as well as some painful ones that would very much possibly mess up her injured heart even more.

In this town contains whom we call Tank. A extremely close friend of her brother who she is very close to. Tank and Charlie were the couple that could have bee, maybe should have been, and never really got a chance to find out if they are meant to be. Tank was his own person. I believe he knew gaining any sort of feelings for his best friends sister was off the table, but does that still make it impossible to avoid? Tank was a man of a good heart, but also had his own issues he has to work through. He had a rough time growing up and had a bad opinion of himself, and basically felt he deserved nothing, but did he ever stop to think of the girl who simply adored him named Charlie? What under her smile did she think?

Charlie and Tank shared more than the lines of friendship than most do. They cared more for one another than the other every realized. They gave one another what ever they needed at times, hope, a shoulder to cry on, support, someone to vent to, and maybe even the greatest gift of all, an ability to repair each others heart and heal it so much they would never need anything else but the embrace of one another. They had a one night stand in the past adventures together. Quite possibly the most passionate and true night of happiness that either of them could ever hope or ever want to experience. Sadly being such close friends they closed that door and never wanted to re open it. Or did they?

As the story progressed on, the characters grew more and more and I got more and more sucked in I loved the character developments. Especially what I saw in Charlie and Tank. They both changed in different ways in strength and their heart. The biggest impact they had on me was when they finally through out everything realized how much they loved one another and basically truly deserved one another. And did not hold back on anything. And basically everything fell into place, it was as if this is what was meant to be, destiny, and this time no one was ever going to take it away.

Again this book was so easy to fall in love with. I will happily read more by this wonderful author. The story had that kind touch as well as that sexy passion I love reading in a good drama love story. I highly recommend this, and I assure you, you are going to be clapping for Tank and Charlie as much as I did, because I think we maybe all can think back of an chance missed or that we didn't take, what would happen if we had a second chance? Would you really wanna pass it up again?

Loved it truly. It made me sleep easy upon completion. It was a book to end, that made me smile.

Repair by Trish Williford is a novel in The Everyday Heroes World. It is a sweet second chance romance, with drama, past history, chemistry, and plenty of sizzle.
This book showed up on my recommended book feed, and it sparked my interest- so I grabbed a copy to explore. As is my first read from Trish Williford, I was intrigued to see what she could do with a story.
I was easily pulled into the story and thought the characters were very likeable. I really did enjoy this sweet story and am happy to find that Ms. Williford has more books published that I will be going back to for a one-click spree.
Charlies’ perfect world came to quite a messy end twelve months earlier. She left her old life behind for a fresh start in her hometown. Only problem is that moving home comes with certain complications- namely a hunk called Tank, her brother’s best friend. They share a past that was part of the reason she left and hadn’t returned for eight years. But she is determined not to let their past cause her any more angst- but that might not be quite so easy. What happens makes for a sweet and spicy read.

Thank you, Trish Williford!

Charlie had a the perfect life, a great career and loving boyfriend but it all comes crashing down with a secret and now she has nothing and is destine to go back to the childhood town which she promised herself she would never go back.

Charlie had it all her career as a trauma nurse and a handsome fiancé, with he wedding not far away life is good, but that all comes crashing down when a knock on the door and in walks her fiancé mistress but there is more when she announces she is pregnant.

Charlie is devastated and feels cheated in both her life and her career, but she then needs to find somewhere to re-evaluate her life and decided to go back to her roots the only problem is she convinced herself she would never go back but things change.

Tank is going about his busy when in she walks, the girl who left eight years ago but there was always a chemistry between them the only problem she was out of bounds being his best friends sister, but now they are older maybe there is a chance that they can become friends again.

I loved this story, this is the first book I have read by this author and the well developed characters and tense from the first word was thrilling and engaging with each chapter. It was great to see both of the main characters grow through the book and see each other through different eyes. This was a brilliant love story and I was willing these two characters together in the end.

I can't wait to read more stories by this wonderful author.

Charlie comes from a family that is willing to always help others. She sees the good in people even when they don't see it in themselves. She has been in love with her brother's best friend Tank for years. One night everything changes and she is left hurt and confused. She left her hometown for years but now she is back and willing to call a truce.

Tank has been fighting his own demons for years. The only light in his life is his best friends family that has taking him in as one of their own. Charlie is the brightest of those lights and gives him hope. But fighting his demons did not seem possible until she left town for good. Now she is back and he wants her to know that he is a changed man.

I enjoyed reading this book. There was some angst but overall the book was sweet and fun. I loved both Tank and Charlie from the beginning. While I could not feel the chemistry, the book is written in a way that you know it's there. Tank is extremely romantic and is willing to go above and beyond to show Charlie that she is the one for him. Almost all of the frequently seen characters were likeable and added to the storyline in the perfect way. I cannot wait to see what happens with Charlie's brothers.

This book has an HEA

I loved Repair by Trish Williford! My question for every one is are you a Charlotte aka Charlie or a Trent aka Tank?
Charlie, the baby of the Hawkins siblings, has had a crush on her oldest brother’s best friend Tank for as long as she can remember. After spending one night together, after the death of his father, she was devastated and left their hometown of Sunnyville not looking back. That is until her fiancé Aiden cheated on her.
Tank, a guy who was headed in a downward spiral that is till the night spent with Charlie. She opened his eyes to the possibilities that he’s a better man than he thought he was. Hearing how she believes in him and how she sees him through her eyes, he also realizes he doesn’t deserve her. So he does the only thing he can do, which is lie to push her away, shattering her heart in the process.
8 years later Charlie is finally back in Sunnyville and Tank, now a business owner, has grown in unexpected ways. This book keeps you reading till the very end as well as wanting more. Getting so sucked into the roller coaster of emotions between the two of them.
After all these years are they able to light that eternal flame between them?
Are they able to keep a civil relationship, for Charlie’s brother Jude?
You may just HAVE TO READ to find out!

Repair was probably one of the best books I have read this year. I would give this book 10 stars if that was even possible. This book was amazing from the very first page to the very last.

The book starts the day of Jack Easton’s funeral. Charlotte ( Charlie ) and her family are there to support Tank on this horrible day. Tank is pretty much part of the family. Tank and Charlie’s brother Jude have been best friends forever. Charlie has had a crush on Trent for just about her whole life. Trent and Charlie leave so Trent can go change. They never make it back. They end up going somewhere and spending the night. The next day some hurtful things were said which causes Charlie and Trent to never speak a word to eachother for 8 years. Just and Trent’s friendship takes a bit of a hit since Charlie leaves town all because of Trent.

8 years later, Charlie returns to her hometown of Sunnyville along with a job transfer. What will happen when Trent and Charlie see eachother? So much has happened. Trent has a lot to tell Charlie but, will he?
Chapter 19/20 totally gets me and I was going to have to have words with the author. Haha!

You definitely don’t want to miss out on this great read. I cannot wait for book 2.
Such a great read!

Repair
An Everyday Heroes World Novel
The Everyday Heroes World
By Trish Williford
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a full length novel, from The Everyday Heroes World. This is a Contemporary Romance, and so much more.

Charlie's life was perfect, until it wasn't. She had a beautiful home, gorgeous fiancé, great job and an upcoming wedding. Then her world came crashing down. Weeks before she was to marry her fiance told her he got another girl pregnant. Said it was a mistake, he loved Charlotte and it just happened. Well who wants that life. She packed up and went home. Home where Tank lives. Oh yes her brother's best friend, Tank, who she had a crush on until that night 8 years ago. Find out what happens with Charlie and Tank. Is their chance over?

Trish Williford has written this hero story. Her writing is easy to read and follow. This Contemporary romance is steamy in some areas and sweet in others. I love the characters and the struggles they work through. You will find this story is a must read. You will not be able to put it down. I am excited to read the next book in this series. Well Done Trish Williford! Well Done!

He was her older brother's best friend and she had a crush on him for as long as she could remember. Right before heading back to college, Charlie rides with Trent after his dad's funeral and they find themselves too drunk to drive home after a night out at the bar. She encourages a hookup that night, but he pushes her away the next morning. She goes back to college and moves away to become a nurse in a trauma center a few states away. After her fiance cheats on her, she finds no reason to stay, and heads back home 8 years later. Trying to put the past behind her, she finds Trent has grown even more irresistible, but although she's ready to forgive, Charlie has to figure out if she can forget what happened between them and learn to trust again.

This is a simmering romance that sizzles up and leaves you rooting for the couple to push through their history and find a happily ever after. Loved the characters and their stories, as well as the relationships between their friends and family.

Repair: An Everyday Heroes World Novel (The Everyday Heroes World) by Trish Williford

I don't even know where to start when talking about this book.  I guess I should start by saying I loved this book.  Very beginning we meet Charlie and her older brother Jude and Jude's best friend Trent who goes by Tank.  I have a huge soft spot for guys named Jude since that is my Grandson's name so I had a good feeling from the start.

Charlie is an angel/hero by working as a nurse.  She is great at her job but needs a change.  She gets that and then some when she moves home.

Trent grew up with a giant chip on her shoulder due to his childhood and always felt he wasn't worthy of anything.  I understood why he felt the way he did and wish I had the people in my life like Trent had.

I really had a hard time putting this book down to the point that I dropped my kindle on my face a few times trying to read just one more page.  I really hope we get stories for both Jude and the other brother Dane.

This was a fun find by a new author that I really enjoyed reading. I hadn’t had the pleasure of reading Trish Williford before when I saw the teasers for Repair and knew I needed to see what the book was all about beyond the tease. I am so happy with my experience and time spent with Tank and Charlie that I will for sure be back for more of Ms. Williford’s books soon! This was one of those reads that instantly draws you into the book and makes you fall in love with the characters so fast that you have to know if they will get that happily ever after that you find yourself screaming and rooting for them so hard the whole time you are reading. I really loved how they seem so real and jumped off my kindle as I read too. I wanted to hug them so many times, making them that much more relatable and real. I am also excited that this is the first of a series, The Rescue Me series, so it looks like I will have a new one to follow in the near future. I cant wait to see what will come next!

Repair, a book in the Everyday Heroes World series introduces us to Charlotte "Charlie" "Charles" Hawkins and Trent "Tank" Easton.
Eight years ago, Tank and Charlie crossed the friendship line and after a few harsh words the morning after, Charlie leaves Sunnyville to pursue her career as a trama nurse in Denver.
While Charlie loved her job, she couldn't stay especially after being betrayed by her fiance, Aiden. So she packs up and moves back home after being offered a job.
She's ready to call a truce with Tank, but will her feelings get in the way? She has been in love with this boy forever, but being her brother's best friend, she's kept her feelings at bay.
Tank and Charlie decide that being friends is the best, since that is the way it's always been, but as their friendship starts to heal, the feelings, that never left, are slowly coming to the surface.
This book was a quick and easy read with laughter, tears, and swoon worthy moments!!
I can't wait for Jude's (Charlie's older brother and Tank's best friend) story!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me reading from the first chapter. Charlie is the little sister of Tanks best friend, they've grown up together and she's always had a crush on him.
After a one night stand, they don't see each other for 8 years, but when they do the chemistry is still there, but both are cautious about being hurt again.
This story was really sweet as they got to know each other again and learnt what had been going on during the 8 years apart. I loved Charlie, she wasn't afraid to say what she felt and put herself out there for something she wanted.
I liked how the book didn't shy away from talking about past abuse, alcoholism or depression. None were in detail, but included enough to understand what the characters might be going through.
The only thing I found strange was that neither knew anything about the other despite being close to their brother/best friend, surely something would have been mentioned over the years.

Repair by Trish Williford is a great romance novel that has all dreamy aspects of romance! While I read a lot of romance novels, I haven't come across one with the "fixer" ideal. I have to be honest, this wasn't 100% my bread and butter. I normally read very fast paced romance books, and while this book doesn't quite fit into that category, falling in love with the characters slowly was a very nice experience.

The book follows the normal "I'm your big bro's best bud, therefore I can't have you" storyline you day-dream about, but Trish Williford doesn't stop at just romance in this book. She tackles all the feelings of self-doubt and issues that men go through with Tank. She gives us the dark sides of the characters so we can fall in love with the people and not just their story. This was such a well written book!

5 stars!

Great romance, short read, engaging story. I absolutely love Charlie and Trent together, it is so sweet that she has been in love with him for years and they both find their way back together. The circumstances under which she flees to go back to her hometown to try again with Trent suck, but I am glad they only took up a small fraction of the book, it shows how irrelevant her ex Aiden is! Trent is so sweet and it proves that he is the man that Charlie should be with, the things he did in her absence, because of her, melted my heart. This book wouldn’t be as great as it was without at little drama, so that was a nice little twist that made me love and appreciate their relationship even more. My favorite thing about this book is the names Charlie and her brother’s cal each other, that had me smiling. I can’t wait to see what happens next, I am assuming it is Jude!

Trish Williford is a new to me author, and I certainly enjoyed this story a great deal. Charlie is one of those girls who is just the best, and yet, she hasn't had the best luck with relationships. She's had a thing for her brother's best friend, Tank, for a long time until one moment in time destroyed any possibility for them, so she left home to never return for many years. Her last relationship was with a trauma surgeon who was so full of himself that he didn't know what he had, so he cheated on her with another nurse who ended up pregnant so that's all she wrote. Charlie finally decides it's time to go home, and off she goes. She's staying with her brother Jude, and she's decided that she & Tank could be friends but he has other thoughts about it all. See, Charlie believed in him even at his worst, and she's the reason he finally took control of his life & he's doing so much better so he's going to get her to give them a second chance. This story was a second chance at love filled with angst, humor, heat, and a great deal of fun so you really don't want to pass it up! I really cannot wait for Jude's story next & HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Repair
By Trish Williford
5 stars

Repair was again another wonderful read from this author. I was totally invested in the story of Charlie and Tank. There were some really nice moments between them and I could feel the connection that they had. I loved the banter between all of the characters, it made for some entertaining reading at times. I really like this author's writing style; it is very relaxed and so easy to read. She seems to write in such a way that you feel like you’re part of the story at times. Whilst I loved all the characters in the story Tank just really stood out for me, with everything that he had been through in the past, he had a very emotional tale to tell!
I would definitely recommend this story to other readers.

Repair (The Everyday Heroes World) by Trish Williford

5-stars

Repair was a phenomenal romance read from start to finish! I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop. I just had to figure out how everything was going to play out, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I loved everything about this storyline, it was the perfect amount of drama, mystery, steamy moments, humour and was perfectly relatable!

Not only did I love the main characters but I absolutely loved all of the secondary characters and I really hope I’ll be able to read about them in the future! This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last, I look forward to reading more from her asap, and I would recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

Once I started "Repair" I could not put it down! My first read by Trish Williford and the way she told this story made me hungry for more! Tank and Charlie's love story started from childhood as Tank was her brothers best friend. One drunken night leads to a misunderstanding that causes Charlies to leave town , and them to part for 8 years.
When Charlie's life begins to unravel after her fiancée's betrayal she returns to her hometown and in an essence Tank. From there we experience the love that could have been and the pull between the 2. We get to experience the growth and development of both characters, and the undeniable chemistry that never disappeared. Thank you for this story Ms. Williford! I will be reading it again.

I absolutely loved reading Repair by Trish Williford. This wonderful author definitely has a new fan. It is filled with wonderful characters I know I'd love to be friends with and I can't wait to read more about them all in future books.

In Repair we see a relationship blossom over time from a young girls crush into something so much more. Trent (Tank) knows he made a Huge mistake when he let Charlotte (Charlie) go all those years ago and he is determined not to make that mistake again. Charlie never stopped loving Tank even when life took her down a different path but as she gets to know the new grown up Tank can she truly trust her feelings and him not to hurt her again. She knows she must face her fears if she is ever going to make her dream come true. Can love really conquer all?

A very sweet second chance romance

This is my first book by this author. I liked it a lot—and I have been very hard to please lately lol. Charlie and Tank were two very likable characters. My heart broke for both of them in that they were needlessly apart for so long. Once they see each other again things moved along nicely. It definitely kept me reading. One of the ways I judge a book is how badly I want them together—and I really wanted them together. After we see Tank’s letter that he wrote to Charlie (6 years prior and it was never delivered)— I was bawling my eyes out. After that I was desperate for them to be together. There really isn’t much drama in this book, but it really didn’t need it. They had their HEA of course and I can’t wait for Jude’s book.

I’m going to start by saying that this book was a lot of fun. However, it was also very sweet. Repair: An Everyday Heroes World Novel is by Trish Williford. This is the first book that I have read from her and was pleasantly surprised. This story follows Charlotte “Charlie” Hawkins. Charlie was living the life that she chose as a Nurse in Denver. She had what she thought was a perfect life. That is until her fiancé’s mistress comes forward with the fact that she is now pregnant with his baby! So with that being said, she goes back home where is she is faced with her brother’s best-friend Tank, who just happens to be someone that she has been in love with for a very long time.
I just enjoyed the banter between her, her brother and Tank. You can tell they are all really close. It was great to see the development of each of the characters. It was adorable seeing how much Tank really cares for Charlie. I was really engulfed in this book and how I felt like I was a part of their little crew and the story itself. I would really recommend this book to anyone who loves books that are sweet and sexy. I cannot wait to read more from this author and look forward to more sweetness and sexiness.

Repair by Trish Williford is an Everyday Heroes World Novel. This second chance contemporary romance is sweet and steamy!

Charlie has spent the last eight years in Denver, avoiding her home town like the plague after her last encounter with her brother’s best friend Tank. Denver was great. She had her dream job and her fiancée, until she didn’t. After ending the engagement, Charlie decided there wasn’t much worth sticking around Denver anymore as much as she loved her job so back home to Sunnyville it is. She knew there would be no way to avoid Tank so she decides to be proactive and clear the air and just try to be friends with him. Tank has other ideas. He may have promised Jude he wouldn’t run her out of town again but what if he can get it all right this time. He has to take a chance.

I loved Tank and Charlie. I definitely felt for Charlie at the beginning and felt so bad that Tank was pushing her away. This book was really good and I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry!

If you don't laugh and cry while reading this story I'm sorry to say there is a problem with you dear fellow reader.

I do so enjoy a book that makes me feel all the things. Let's just say there were tears: of joy, grief, and shared remorse for time/love lost and growth.

The book itself was wonderful, but I think my favorite part was actually a new perspective I gained for medical personnel. They are amazing people: the training, the trauma, the pressure, danger, and stress, it is all so overwhelming to even comprehend; they truly are unsung heroes; and this book did a fine job highlighting the ups and downs of health workers.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Three siblings, Charlotte (Charlie), Jade & Dane; all work in highly demanding, public service occupations. Charlie, the main character, is a trauma nurse that is highly fulfilled in her job, but not in her love life. After a broken engagement, she moves back home to reconnect with her high school crush & brother’s best friend, Tank. Obstacles persist and trials develop. Can they overcome the past and connect as adults in a meaningful way?? The characters are deep and rich with integrity. An easy read that will keep you engaged until the very last page! I look forward to more books about the siblings!

I would strongly recommend this book and author to anyone that enjoys a good steamy, dramatic, and emotional romance. I’m not even an emotional person, but parts of this book had me so drawn into the characters and what they were feeling and experiencing, that even I was tearing up. The character development in this book is so very well done. I’m a nurse and could totally totally relate to Charlie’s rough shifts in the ER and how she needed to vent afterwards at times. It was so satisfying to see Tank grow and mature throughout the book. It’s great to see a strong woman bring the best out in a man. Must read!

This was my first book that I have read by Williford and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely not be my last. It had me laughing and crying at the same time. Charlie is such a loveable character up against Tanks tough guy exterior along with her brothers protectiveness. Tank and Charlie have been in love since they were kids and things turn for the worse when Tanks father passes away. Charlie is there to build him up but what happens when things are said in the heat of the moment and their lives change. Does love prevail and is fate is on their side. What happens when tomorrow is not promised and anything can change in a blink of an eye.

A hidden gem! To say that I enjoyed this book is an understatement. This novel digs deep and wrenches every bit of emotion from you. There is remorse, disappointment, hurt, and happiness (just to name a few) that transcend from the pages and envelopes the reader in a cocoon where the reader has no other choice but to be a part of the characters' journey. I admire Tank's strength in making amends for the disservice done to the heroine and Charlie's bravery in her vulnerability. Their path towards reconciliation was organic and realistic. This highlighted the fragility of trust, that once broken is possible to mend. Thank you, Trish, for this beautiful story.

In Repair, Charlotte helps her friend and lifelong crush get his mind off of his father’s death and ends up sleeping with him. Unfortunately this turns sour for her the next morning and she spends the next eight years living, studying, and working in Colorado as a trauma nurse. The story is quite simple but delicious in its delivery as Charlotte, or Charlie as she goes by, and Trent, or Tank, get reunited and find their love to still be true and strong. There are silly moments, deep moments, and plenty of very hot moments that you’ll need to be sitting down for! A very quick, cute, and downright STEAMY read.

Repair Me! Gosh, I loved this love story. There’s always that one person you think about, or have, that you had and have built a long lasting friendship with, or better yet, relationship with, and this story fully dives into all the feelings, and problems that can come from such scenarios. Charlie and Tank have a long, and tumultuous history, filled with loss, and heartache, but don’t forget about the good things, the love they’ve shared, albeit within the confines of friendship, and the way they have supported each other, through thick and thin. Reading this novel tugged at my heartstrings, as you become so attached to Charlie, who is a kick-butt nurse, passionate about all those around her, and Tank, who has battled his own demons and come out stronger for it. I loved getting to know both their characters through the talents of Trish Williford, her writing coming across strong, and allowing you to visualize and connect with all those things, and people she introduces along the way. I am very excited to read the next installment and see how things turn out for Charlies brother, Jude! If you’re ready to fall deeper in love with your people, give this a read! It’ll have you appreciating all the small things in today’s crazy world. Thank you, Trish!

I really enjoyed this love story. Its a really moving story about friends becoming lovers and all the problems that can follow it. The beautiful part of this book for me is Tank's story. Throughout his childhood he has suffered loss and neglect and even as an adult he feels he is worthless and undeserving of love. However Charlie doesnt see him that way. She has loved him for years and one night together sends them into a spin. Charlie happy and looking to the future and Tank overcome by self doubt and pushing Charlie away.

8 years later Charlie returns and the connection between them is just as strong but with Charlie's brother warning Tank off and Charlie's emotions and upset from the past can they work together this time or are they best just forgetting what could have been and remain friends.

My heart  was broken for both Tank and Charlie. It was heartbreaking to read Tank feeling so down about his self worth that he would ruin something so good. And also reading the heartache Charlie went through when she got the man of her dreams only to lose him again the first time around.
