My mate is being tried for treason, and I’m running out of time to find the Crystals of Harmony. We’ve looked everywhere for the griffin stone, but it remains out of reach.
Then our worst fears are realized. The griffin stone lies with the Black Claw. To find it, we’ll have to become members of the cult.
The only way to stop the extinction of the fae is to join the dark side. By connecting with my Unseelie past, we have a chance to end the king’s reign of terror.
I’ll be leading the charge when it’s time to bring the monarchy down.

Once again I was hooked with the storyline and characters! I love the focus on each faction per book. Gives you more back story on the history of Malovia and The Black claw. Now on to book 5. I almost don’t want it to end!
The war for Malovia is continuing in The Griffin Knight, the fourth book in the Hidden Legends University of Sorcery series and it was epic. I forget just how much I love this series until I am totally immersed in it. Really there is nothing like it, the magic, the characters, the world-building, and the descriptions draw such a complete picture I can't help but be drawn in, can't help but love the series and The Griffin Knight is no exception.
Elijah and Gabby have made a mess of the magical fae country, Malovia. There is violence, crime, homelessness, brutal deaths, healthcare issues, and so much more. The country is in disarray because of Elijah's and Gabby's horrible beliefs and need for power. All of the fae are suffering and they've decided to fight back, they decided it's time for a revolution but revolution isn't without loss and heartbreak. Things get pretty bloody and pretty bad in this book, not to mention a couple of plot twists that kinda blew my world but added so much to the story. Including a more in-depth look at the Black Claw. The gang knows of Elijah's connection to the cult and goes digging for answers about what the cult has been up to and what Elijah may be planning.
Emma, Ethan, and the gang are right in the middle of everything. Their war with Elijah and Gabby is on, not to mention the hunt for the stones to stop the death of all fae kind. Ethan is fighting back in little ways with the movement, while Emma is concentrating on learning her Unseelie magic, thinking it may come in handy in the future. Ethan and Emma have both come so far, Ethan with his hero complex has been curb and he learned his lesson of not talking things through Emma, and it's Emma's turn to go through something and Ethan is right there beside her. I love the relationship that Emma and Ethan have now, how they connect to each other, support and worry about each other and listing to each other, give one what the other needs. It really is a beautiful relationship that has grown into what both Emma and Ethan need.
One of my favorite things about this book is the overall group bond. They are all so close, they have a great friendship, they are there for the bad times and celebrate the good times. They are all fighting to stop the atrocities occurring in their country, they are all working on the prophecy and the overall vibe is something of a close-knit family, something very true and something that will last. The group has a closeness that can't be traded and hopefully won't be broken. I also loved the magic in this book, learning about Unseelie magic with Emma, Authur, and their grandparents, and seeing them work on their Seelie powers at school is all fascinating. Then there was the visit to the griffin city, which was great, the descriptions had me wishing I could go there. However, my absolute favorite thing is seeing Emma learn more about the fae gods and the festivals/holidays that they celebrate with the unique (magical) animals that make an appearance truly turns this book into something magical.
A lot of things happened in The Griffin Knight, a lot was revealed. More of the prophecy was laid out, including a shocking revelation, a nasty attack that I didn't see coming, plus more jaw-dropping moments including the lengths that Elijah and Gabby have gone to. Someone's past is revealed, a future possibility is unfurled, and the present is nothing but chaos. The last few chapters of the story had my jaw dropped with an ending I did not see coming, heck I didn't see most of this coming and it was great. I love the University of Sorcery series and I can't wait for the next book in the series, Shifter Empire is coming soon.
Emma is looking for the Crystals of Harmony this time around. She has looked high and low without any luck in locating the griffin stone and time is running out. Besides Emma has more than just the griffin stone on her mind at the moment her soulmate Ethan has been jailed for crimes against the crown. If he is found guilty he could be executed.
When they finally locate the griffin stone they learn that it lies with some very dark and evil people. They will have to bring out their dark side if they ever have a chance of recovering the griffin stone. And when their dark side shows its ugly head they will just have to hope that their good side is stronger if they are to survive in the end.
The opening pages of The Griffin Knight are so very intense and sad and lead right up to the action. The action is constant throughout the whole book as it never lets up from beginning to end. Ethan, Emma, and the whole crew fight one battle after another just to save their lives and that of the fae. They have to face trials and challenges one after another on their search for the griffin stone.
The Griffin Knight brings out all the feelings. It had me in tears on more than one occasion. I felt sadness, happiness, anger, frustration plus a whole lot more. I saw it all playing out in my head as if I was right there fighting with them as if I was a part of the team. I felt as if I was soaring through the air on one of the dragon's back as the rest of the battle played out all around me.
I can’t wait for the next installment in the Hidden Legends: University of Sorcery series. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out and see where all the characters take us on their next journey.

The Griffin Knight (Hidden Legends: University of Sorcery Book 4) ~~ This book is war — physical and emotional. The battles are massive, the stakes are deadly, and every choice costs something. The character development is unmatched. Loyalty, sacrifice, and bravery are everything here.
Ethan and Emma’s relationship becomes even more powerful and heartbreaking as they fight not only for each other but for everyone depending on them.
The Audible version felt like a movie. The battle scenes especially — unreal. I listened while driving, cleaning, cooking — earbuds in, completely gone from reality.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.
The Griffin Knight is the fourth book in the Hidden Legends : University of Sorcery serie by Megan Linski.

I really love it and cannot wait to start reading the next book.
Emma and Ethan are thrown into the thick again. Ethan is on trial for treason, which could end in a death sentence. Emma is in a race for the Crystals of Harmony with the royalty of Malovia.
This tale resides in multiple genres, including Romantic Fantasy, Fantasy Romance, and Paranormal & Urban Fantasy. While the story starts rather grimly, it eventually turns around to turn downward once more. Ultimately, the end suggests things are about to improve overall.
Action-packed. Entertaining. Great world building. Haunting. Romantic. Scary. Steamy. Tragic. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.
I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.
I have to say this to get it out of my system. This particular book got me feeling.. Idon't know.. subdued. I think? Sure, they find the way to get their next mission completed, but at what cost? So many battles, so much drama.
Welp, I'ma say this. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!! Seriously, on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment along with the College of Witchcraft serie.
This book is overwhelmingly good but make sure you have the wine and tissues ready! I cried, laughed, screamed, swooned and that's just the tip of the crazy iceberg you're gonna hit all through this thrilling story! It's insanity in it's most delicious form yet so achingly frustrating! It's. A. Must. Read!
Its a good book. the thing is its the same as all the other books. the same things happen in each and every book. So I predicted the outline and mostly got it right.
