The Dragonni have established their theme park, but they may not have time to spin out their web, because Echidna calls out Typhon and the Father and Mother of All Dragons prepare to go to war.
Ember and the Wild Hunt are there to witness the battle, but when Echidna and Typhon rise against each other, the resulting shockwave sends Ember, Angel, and Raven into the realm of Caer Arianrhod--the Castle of the Silver Wheel. Now, they must hurry to find their way back home before the Star Hounds of Arianrhod hunt them down and destroy them.

The battle that has threatened the world has finally come as the Dragonni make themselves known and hatch a plan to bring the Father of Dragons, Typhon, back into the human world. The Wild Hunt and its allies have raced against the clock to try to stop Typhon and as the final battle looms, they find themselves at a crossroads. If the Mother of Dragons, Echidna, doesn’t stop Typhon and put him back into stasis, the world as they know it will falter and chaos will emerge in the dust. Ember, Herne, and the Wild Hunt are on the sidelines as the battle between the titans begins alongside their allies of gods and others against Typhon and his ilk who want to destroy everything here on Earth. But as a shockwave from these two titans’ hit, Ember, Angel and Raven find themselves sent into the realm of the Silver Wheel, Caer Arianrhod. Now the clock ticks as these three try to stay away from the Star Hounds of Arianrhod and keep themselves alive as each of the women have something to live for in their future.
Wow, the final full-length novel in the Wild Hunt Series, Veil of Stars, delivers one wild ride from start to finish. With each book, the readers have been on a journey with Ember, Angel, and the Wild Hunt gang as they dealt with keeping the fae kingdoms of Earth from starting a war, dealing with issues such as love hate and more but now the father of Dragons is here ad his allies have the Wild Hunt and their allies in the crosshairs. I found this final novel full of twists and turns, secrets and set up of a world so vast that it has me eager to know more. With the broad stroke of a keystroke, this author delivers a rousing story arc finish that hit all my love buttons multiple times. From seeing the main characters, we have grown to enjoy and love so much grow and find their own happiness in the aftermath of the final battle as well as some things yet left unsaid and hinted at speaks to future novellas to delve into. I loved every inch of this book and series as a whole so much. Though I am sad to see it end for now, Ms. Galenorn delivers a story that ties up loose ends of a multi-storyline begun many books ago and introduces some new characters to be intrigued about.
VEIL OF STARS is the final battle between Typhon and his allies against the Wild Hunt, its allies and Echidna. The question that has been lingering in the last few books was, ‘Can the Wild Hunt send Typhon back to sleep or will they lose everything they have worked so hard for?’. I got to admit I was wondering how this would all turn out as the hints from the last few books had me eager to see just how this author would tie those questions as well as others up in VEIL OF STARS. I will admit that some things were shocking to read but others had me humming in pleasure as the story weaved a spell around me. The characters have grown so much all through the books and I will miss them all. For me though, the highlight was seeing more of this world Ms. Galenorn built from her first book, The Silver Stag. It’s vast, has untapped potential (which the readers will see in a few spin offs already announced by the author) and the promise of revisiting the Wild Hunt characters in the future.
If you enjoy a complex world filled with captivating characters, wild action and lots of romance, friendship and more then you will enjoy the Wild Hunt series immensely. With the author promising one more novella to round out the series coming in 2022, this reader may be sad to see this series end but am really excited to see where the author goes within this world of hers that she created.

Things really come to a head in this one, the big dragon battle happens and yet it doesn't. I was all excited to read it, but the battle started and then all of a sudden we were with Ember, Raven and Angel in a different dimension, not really sure what was going on. It took a bit for the 3 women to find their footing, to realize where they were and to figure out how to get to a safe place. After a few harrowing days, they managed to find a village, which then made getting to their final destination so much easier.
Once the women met up with the rest of the group they were able to get the scoop on the dragon battle, which wasn't good, leaving all of them to see that going back to how they were living wasn't going to happen. It seemed though, that all were ready to start this new phase of their lives, Raven and Kipa had news, Victor and Shelia weren't letting things stop them from getting married and Ember was ready for the next step in her life, becoming a goddess. If things were to end here, they ended on a great note. I know the author says we will get one more shorter story with Hearne and Ember's wedding, which will be good.
Well the dragons are not playing by the rules. Ember, Angel and Raven slip through a portal to another dimension (Annwn) but manage to stay alive and get back to Cernunnos’s castle and safety. She then goers through the Gadawnoin (to become a goddess) and so she can now marry Herne.
Not quite the conclusion I'd hoped it would be, but still good, and a fitting stopping point for those characters. I'm hopeful for the next series in this particular world.
Oh, my! Veil Of Stars by Yasmine Galenorn is an outstanding book that is deep, filled with peril and personal discovery. It's all out war between the two dragon factions, and all of the rules go out of the window. Will Earth survive? Will the members of the Wild Hunt survive along with their loved ones? Tear into this page turner to find out, as Ember faces one of the biggest challenges of her life during one of the darkest times of humanity's. I loved this book. A voyage of self discovery and change for everyone involved, especially the Wild Hunt crew and family. This is an outstanding read by an incredibly talented author.
And so ends the Wild Hunt Series. This book closed a lot of the build up but it also leaves you wanting to know what comes next. Ember's journey in this book was wild, so much happens, and her life is forever changed. Fate has been planning her future all along and now we know why. I will miss these character's and I hope we will get some follow up stories soon so that we can see what is going on with their lives. There is honestly so much one can say about this book but I do not want to spoil anything for the reader. Just read it. If you are new to this series start with book one!
I love how this story wrapped up! It feels like things came full circle for Ember, and even though the world has changed, there is a feeling of hope. I'm happy about the discoveries made by Ember and Angel, and it was fun to dip into the world of Annwn. I couldn't help but wish, as I read about this magical other world, that I could go live there for awhile as well! I'm glad there is a novella ahead. I'm always a little sad when I come to the end of these series and I have to say goodbye to the characters and the worlds they inhabited, though I do understand why this needed to be the conclusion.
Ember is embarking on her newest journey. The end and the beginning. I can’t even fully put into words, the feels this book had me in. But this books journey was kind of heart rendering. Finding the beginning of angel and ember. A family heirloom. A terrifying journey in a place they shouldn’t have been. The dragons! This is so much a must read! You will never regret this series, or any by Yasmine Galenorn. You become immersed in her worlds. And fully invested in relationships with every character. Read read read!
Viktor and Sheila are getting married soon and Ember will be a bridesmaid. Raven has moved to Kalevala with Kipa to study magic, but they are back for the showdown. Echidna has challenged Typhon to a duel, which will take place immediately. A bleak future awaits no matter who wins. Ember, Angel, and Raven are sucked into a vortex and learn they landed in Annwn. It’s a long trek out of the wilderness and they are attacked by deadly Starhounds. They make their way to Cernunnos’s castle and hear bad news about the earth. Ember and Angel are shown their soul-mate history. Ember passes through the Gadawnoin and becomes a goddess. Her life is changed literally forever.
I had dreaded the ending of this series, thinking that there was a definite possibility of a high body count. But instead the focus of this book is in Ember, as it should be, as this series has been her journey we have followed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the ending and I'm looking forward to reading the new spin offs that are to come. Thank you for the Wild Hunt series. It has been a joy and privilege to read it.
I have waited until I finished the series or did I? This series is amongst one of the best I have read. It's definitely a page turner and it has parts that will have you laughing and crying. Its will leave you wanting more. All the characters are first rate. The story line again is first rate. You need to read this series from beginning to end to totally enjoy. Ms Galenorn has out done herself.
OMG what a book. I could not put this book down once I started, it grabbed me from the beginning and kept me reading till the end. It moves along at an amazing pace which fit the story perfectly and made for an enjoyable read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and you love each of them in their own way. This book needs to be read, there is no choice about it. It is a must read.
...how else to approach the end of an arc if not by changing everything in the characters' worlds? Overall, I have loved this series and even though this book blows everything up, it's still a great read because of the twists and turns. And luckily we get a novella to have a calmer ending to the series, in which we get to know a bit about the long term plans of the characters, now that their lives end up being so different.
From the first book through the last this is an amazing series. There is not one book that has disappointed. I will miss the characters and look forward to future novellas and short stories. There is something truly magikal about Yasmine's writing. I am anticipating new stories and new characters, and revisiting all her series on a regular basis.
I have read all of Yasmine's books, love her story telling. When I read first couple of books in this series, admittedly I wasn't real excited. But this book, in this series, is Yasmine at her finest. Detailed story telling, fabulous character development. I loved it! Can't wait to continue the Wild Hunt series.
Continuing the “secondary character in the clash of the titans” theme, this personal journey watches Ember face her fears and enter the world of the immortals.
After a quick side quest in another world, she returns, embarks on a spirit quest and sheds her mortality.
I felt like this one was a little rushed and left out some things that withhold have been amazing to read. Like more of Angel's and Ember's past that they shared. Or more about the battles. I didn't like how the dragons roared then boom they were in a new place. I again felt likethis book was rushed.
This is book 17 in the Wild Hunt series, and it went in a kind-of different direction from what I was expecting for this series. I expected this book to focus on the battle with the dragons and instead focused on what happened to Ember, Angel and Raven right after the battle started. I finished this book in one sitting and immediately grabbed the last book in the series!
The time has come for change and this story is filled with massive changes. The author brings on a changing world, then her characters have to deal with emotional changes & several of them undergo major life changes. So be prepared for quite the rollercoaster as she weaves this tale.
I'm so sad that it's coming to an end but I'm so glad Herne and Ember are finally going to marry. I'm so excited to learn what happens with Angel and DJ. But what happens on earth now?
I loved how this series ends, I love everything about this series. The only thing I don't love is that it's over, but she is still going to write some Novella's and hopefully, maybe she isn't done with this world!!!!!
The final book in the Wild Hunt series. I can’t believe it’s time has come. I’ve been enjoying these so much, it seems like it was just last year that the first came out. I was shocked by the ending. This book, and series in general played with my emotions so much it was unreal.
Wow so much but I was very surprised the direction Ms. Galenorn took with this story. Not to say it was bad in any way but definitely not what I expected after having read previous series. Looking forward to the series finale and the spinoffs for sure to see what comes of the human realm now.
I don't know how she does it. I think that this may be the best book out of The Wild Hunt Series yet! I read it all in one sitting, which is not something that I can usually do. It has been am amazing ride going on this journey with Ember, Herne and the world of The Wild Hunt!
The great dragon battle tosses Ember and her closest friend through a portal. They find their way to the castle. Then it's time for Ember's great trial.
Such a great story! I love Ember, Hearne, and all the rest of them. I am sad to see the series is nearly over but I know I’ll be back to re-read it again.
