1.5 rounded down. The first story in this book was okay enough but the male lead in it was too possessive for my liking. If he wasn't so possessive I may have gave this an extra star but that was such a turn off. Second story was cute and very Christmasy feeling which the other story lacked. But I wasn't much of a fan of the instalove.

If I'm being honest, I did not enjoy this little twosome. It felt more action and drama than romance and Christmas. The writing is good, and both authors do an excellent job weaving their tales, but I felt like this was sold as a romantic Christmas series. It did not feel like that in the slightest.

Honestly enjoyed this Harliquin 2-fer. The first story, The Third Christmas, is pretty full-bodied and would stand against other stories that are not considered out-and-out romances. I really am not sure where the line is to say that this is a romance and that is an action-based story where the main characters just happen to fall in love. (I'm comparing this one to the action novel The Drowning Tide by Karen Harper or the drama The Sound of Glass by Karen White). Perhaps because The Third Christmas does have a fair bit of sex in it (13 pages of it at one point) and the action novels don't do anything for 13 pages. The sex isn't crude or coarse, it's okay and the only thing I really thought about it was that, I don't care how big the boat is, you aren't gong to run the shower that long.
The second story, Deck The Halls, is cute, sweet, and chaste. It's absolutely perfect fodder for a Hallmark Christmas movie, better than Snow Globe and a possible competitor to A Christmas Kiss.

Really liked the first of the two books.(Marine Biologist, Jean Young falls in love with David Blade,(a Marine researcher). The second one seemed to stall a lot. Small business owners,3 Hall gals....Holly, Ivy and Laural...are taken to court but Holly falls in love with the Lawyer and the other 2 leave Dallas to do their own thing.

It took me quite a while to get into the first story in book so I put book away for a while. I finally finished it and it was OK. I fell in love with the second story though and didn't want to book down. All in all, I'm glad I finally read both stories and now passing onto another friend who likes Harlequin romances.
