I honestly didnt get it. So did he like die "die"? Or...? I finished it in a few hours and I am not happy about that.

I…. Not sure what to think of it, honestly. On one hand we have a young trying his all to do some good and getting screwed up by life at every single corner. On the other, we have a quite improbable love story between him and a police officer 20 years his senior. Who doesn’t believe Sean and it’s condescending while using Sean’s crush on him to placate him. Who calls him a fruitcake in front of other officers. Who, the minute he is alone with Sean, has sex with him. Who, even though knowing Sean is the victim and target of the killer, leaves him alone in the house without means of communication.
Honestly, every single person in this story failed Sean. The police, who was quick on naming him a killer and leaking his information so his house was destroyed. The doctors, who took it personally and didn’t prescribe a single painkiller. The ex who cheated on him. The media who smeared his name all over for the angry mobs. His mother, who sided with his father who abandoned him years ago. Quinn, who did not provide enough protection resulting Sean to be attacked, again, and this time with loss of his hand and therefore, his income. And the last attack where he dies and doesn’t even notices.
One can argue that their love is so strong that Sean literally came back to life for Quinn. I’m not sure if I agree with that. Can others see Sean? Will they be able to have a fulfilling life with Sean in this form? Will Sean be to do anything other than “staying” there?

Ugh. I finished it, but only because it was short. This had so much potential, but there were just so many things that brought it down. MC Adam Quinn was kind of a dick. He seemed like he was nice in the beginning, then the 2 MCs got together (it played out a little weirdly) and he became Mr. Douche, then all of a sudden he became attached to Sean (?!). Sean, we discover, is psychic and he can see certain people's futures in his dreams. Of course no one believes him, but I think it's only because he goes stomping in to crime scenes like a bull in a china shop to the point where I would want to arrest him, too.
When we finally find out who the antagonist is Sean has some kind of major upgrade in his psychic powers and becomes a Wanda Maximoff clone, and it was at that point that it became a little over the top for me. After the final confrontation where he saves Adam and he wakes up.... okay.... I only finished because there was just a little left, but overall the ending was uncomfortably weird and confusing and I wasn't too fond of it.

I... didn’t like anything.
At first, the blurb sounded interesting and full of suspense and intrigue but as the story unfolded... I was hella disappointed.
I had 52% of the story and I already had enough of the unlikeable main character (Sean). He complains and complains and complains. The way he flirts with Quinn it’s so not sexy. Quinn says No firmly multiple times but Sean believes he can “change” Quinn’s mind (he does at the end because of course he does) but it is still weird and throwing rapey vibes. To top it all off, it was insta-lust. We had the MC’s fucking at, I believe, was 20% (idk its in my highlights thingy)
Quinn is... boring. I don’t even know what to say about him. He changes his mind about everything every .2 seconds.
The world building and the logic behind police procedure, the justice system, etc, was laughable and ridiculous, at best.
I don’t even care to know who the killer was that’s how uninteresting everything was.
God help me, this was boring.

There are a lot of stories out there where a psychic works with or for the police. And usually, the police believe them. Not here, though, which makes this story refreshingly realistic, because Sean is never seen as a hero, or even remotely helpful. The police officers hate him, actually. Including Detective Sergeant Adam Quinn.
This isn’t really a love story, either, mostly because Sean and Adam don’t have time to figure things out, even if Sean believes he’s in love with Adam, and Adam kind of begins to think he might, maybe, someday, come to feel the same. Maybe.
We do have a murdering psychopath, and something like a family feud, though that could have been worked out a little better.
The writing is good and the plot is structured well. A nice, enjoyable read. The ending is a little startling, mostly because it’s not expected. Maybe there’s more to come, who knows. That might be interesting.

Little Freak by Kay Ellis seamlessly mends humour with paranormal and gay erotica. I found the plot to be refreshing and something I have not read before. Sean can see things as they are happening. But we're not talking about walking down the street, looking. He sees visions as he sleeps, usually of murders that are happening at the time.
Many people say Quinn is an asshole. I cannot disagree. However, I do think any normal person would have trouble believing when someone says they are psychic. Even if you believe that they exist, you have to admit that this world is full of frauds.
I realized who the killer was long before it was announced, but I still think this book deserves 5 out of 5 stars because of great plot. And gay love story is always a good thing in my book.

This is a great story that mixes paranormal, gay romance, some spicy scenes and some humour, to make an engaging and un-put-down-able read.
I really felt an investment in the characters. Sean was well portrayed with his ongoing struggle of being a perceived 'freak' and the continued battle of being doubted by everyone, even the love of his life.
The ending for me was not predicted and gave me such a mix of emotions and made me think that maybe happy endings happen, even in the unlikeliest of circumstances.
For me, my absolutely favourite part was a certain double 👍👍 at a most unusual time, it made me lol 🤣🤦♀️
I really devoured this one. Took me less than two days to read and my only criticism is, it wasn't longer! Maybe we could have a sequel 🙏🙏

Not at all what I expected.
Once you get started, this story gets its hooks into you. I was gripped from start to unexpected, tear-jerking finish. There's a part of me that wants more romantic development between Sean and Quinn, but the story is just so good as is that I can't complain. I have thought and feels for days about how it ends, but I won't complain because I was engrossed. I felt exactly what the author wanted me to when they wanted me to and it was such a roller-coaster that I cannot wait to ride again. No idea why this stayed unread on my Kindle for so long, but I can say that I had no idea what was waiting for me in the actual story. The cover and blurb do nothing to prepare you. I'm not going to spoil anything. Just maybe have tissues nearby when reading.

Dreams with a twist
This was not what I expected when starting the book. Sean has the ability to see events as they happen while he sleeps, only one detective believes him and can't always use the information shared. Following a serious of deaths then a prediction of a bomb threat, Sean and Quinn have to fight an unknown suspect in a new way.
This book kept me on my toes and was able to keep me hooked as well.
The spice isn't too high, just enough for me. The love between the two men is different and fresh. The want for each other with it not being the most predictable match is toe curling, you just want them to be happy.

Surprisingly Amazing
Okay, I had a feeling that this was going to be a good book. But, oh-my-gosh, was it soo much better. I felt as if I was holding my breath half the time reading. First, the relationship build-up was freaking awesome. Second, the suspense was so freaking on point I was holding my breath and also on the edge of my seat. Third, the bad guy ended up being a total get the heck out of here moment. Then, lastly, the ending was surprisingly sad, amazing, and totally swoon worthy all at once.
If you hadn't already bought this masterpiece, then I strongly suggest you do. You will not regret it. And, you'll want to thank me later.

Too fast and too slow
I could not get into the rhythm of this book. Some things happened at warp speed. Like the relationship between Sean and Quinn. I didn't even feel any connection between them, they were just suddenly together and in love without even a discussion. OTOH, the internal dialogue between questions was dragged out way too long. There would be pages of ridiculous internal dialogue before we could get to the answer. And then ending was just bizarre.

What the heck did I just read?
This book had more twists than a pretzel! The ending?!?! I’m so mad and confused that there’s not more! Is there going to be more?
Don’t get me wrong, this was a good book. But I need a sequel or long epilogue. Also, Quinn’s POV. Worth the read if you like books that don’t follow the formula.

A short paranormal story, with mystery and humour.
Liked the writing style however the story doesn't reach its potential.
I liked Sean, even if at times he was too weak and laid-back.
I am not sure about Quinn, with his I trust you but you need to prove you are telling the truth, it was sending mixed signals.

I was ready to cry!!
This was so good its not even funny. I loved Sean and Quinn. The twists in the story were great and I almost broke my phone at the end from throwing it.

Definitely different
I really enjoyed this story. It was totally unique and was interesting. Super quick read I recommend it for anyone who enjoys crime and suspense.

This was a beautiful written book 🥺
I never cried so much during one book before besides one book. This made me so emotional and want to go crazy at all of the twisted and turns that happen as well
It’s LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 and has spicy scenes as well.
Definitely read this if you like to read thrillers because it was an amazing thriller
