Kinda low on plot compared to other Pete titles, but there are lots of good sight words.

After reading Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, I picked up a pack of Pete the Cat readers at Costco for Lily. They are all cute, but none of them are quite as good as the first one.

Bob shows Pete how to wash his hands thoroughly and explains when he should do it. I think this book has helped Lily understand why it's important to wash--she's been a little less resistant since we started reading it. We definitely don't wash our hands after *all* of the circumstances that Bob recommends, though. I don't think I know anyone who does. I figure if we're hitting after the bathroom and before eating, we're doing pretty well. "SPLISH! SCRUB! SPLASH! RUB!"

Really like the context of this book, I love that it's something very simple that toddlers can understand. Children learn the importance of how to wash your hands properly and when you should you wash your hands. It's children friendly and it give you a great opportunity to have a discussion with your students

My youngest wanted me to read this to him because he likes when I use different character voices, and we love Pete the Cat! It’s funny that he chose this book because he never wants to wash his hands, but as soon as I finished reading this to him, he went into the bathroom to wash his hands, and I’m almost certain that he’s in there saying, “SPLISH! SCRUB! SPLASH! RUB!” 😂🙌🏼🧼

A good, repetitive book to read to toddlers who are still getting a handle on the whole washing hands thing. I like that it gives concrete, real-world examples of when one washes ones hands. I'm not saying there's a direct correlation, but our three-year-olds newfound zeal for handwashing did overlap with this book coming home from the library.

Splish, scrub, splash, rub!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audio copy.

This is a 5 minute audiobook that can be thrown on in the car for kids on a short drive. It reinforces hand washing with catchy and repetitive phrases.

Very cute!

Read this along with my granddaughter. She was belly laughing at one part of this book. Love Pete the Cat, and Pete the Kitty is cool, too.

Pete washes his hands. But ae they clean? Goodness no they're still filled with mud. Bob is ready to help teach Pete to wash his hands. There's fun sounds that go along with each step such as splash, rub, and scrub. While you read children can practice along with Pete the Kitty.
