A good book to share with young readers at the beginning of the school year. It invites discussion on the topics of honesty, bullying and insecurity that are on the minds of children at the start of each new year.
This book is about a little girl named Bunny. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Darcy, and she runs an errand for her but doesn't complete it and lies about completing the errand to Mrs. Darcy. She tells the truth the next day and learns her lesson. This is a great book and would read it to my kids.
This realistic fiction book is about a girl named bunny who gets picked on because of her name, but she gets called on by Ms. Darcy to take a note to another teacher, but was afraid to ask where the classroom was at, so she lied and did not give the note. From this, students can learn to not be afraid to ask questions and to tell the truth.
