This book nearly broke my brain. BUT SO GOOD & informative. I used it to study for Sec+; haven’t taken the test yet. I read both this and “Get Certified, Get Ahead” for SYO-601. Hoping the combo of both ends in a PASS!

Great book to study and exam prep. Its a little too heavy if youre just trying to pass. If all you want to do is pass then its a good start

I would give this zero stars if I could, it only deserves 💩 ratings. I wish this emoji was a frown face because that's how I feel about my entire experience with this book.

NOT the content, but the presentation of the content, the INACCURACIES IN A TEXTBOOK, terrible inconsistencies in acronym use, confusing phrasing. Even the glossary is confusing with acronyms and definitions, just separate them FFS, not like we're trying to save pages with the amount of copy/paste section repeats.

I'm 100% confident that reading this text alone will NOT get me a passing score on the Sec+ exam. Only through the practice exams do I have a chance.

Why did I just waste my life on this. If you're about to go for your Sec+ cert, don't bother reading this text. Watch Prof Messer's free videos on youtube and find all the free/cheap practice tests you can find and do them until you feel confident. Do not make the same mistake I did.

A useful study guide for the Security+ exam. It goes through the exam objectives in order. Each chapter begins by telling which Security+ exam objective the chapter covers, and ends with 10 questions. The "exam tip" boxes helpfully point out concepts to remember for the exam. It includes more details than are listed on the Security+ exam objectives, including info that wasn't included in other study materials I used, such as RFC numbers and the history of several technologies.
