Will they, won't they? ✅
In this volume we get into the demon arcs. It's interesting because a little bit more of the greater plot is being revealed a tidbit at a time and the role of the hero is getting more curious.
Things continue to be a delight to read, the doki-doki is that full power. Sometimes the will they won't they aspects can get a bit much in books but I don't really get tired of it in this series. It's not a matter of intelligence blocking things it's a matter of respecting the needs and boundaries of your partner. They don't progress because MC doesn't want to push the girls beyond what they're ready for, but he's more than willing to return their love. In this way the romance is nurturing.
A note on the author's choices, you get plenty of screen time for the sweet kisses between our lovebirds but any further interactions or off screen. It almost feels like you sure the respect for the characters relationship by not prying. It also means that a younger audience is safe to read. I don't think there's anything icky about the age differences, they're within a healthy range. And it has been thoroughly established that MC may have experiences and memories from his past life where he was old enough to retire but he was also emotionally dead in that lifetime.
In his reincarnation he is definitely young and inexperienced. His past life is more like a skill set than any kind of ick factor. He comes off as mature but that maturity shatters when he is dealing with emotional and familial situations. You can feel that he is the age he is because he is living anew. Not very many isakai can pull off and age difference like this without making it blatant and feel strong and have to fight any internal ick factors of the reader. In this story MC is youth and new in every way that matters and is growing alongside his friends and beloveds.
I think I'll leave My comments here for now. I think I could ramble quite a while about the social aspects that I find interesting about the characters in this series. I think that a really good series is able to leave you pondering long after you finish reading and said the book aside. The series is good at that. I find my mind fascinated with new things I didn't know before. You even get new foods without being just another food porn story...

The author loses/tricks the readers, not writing about the main plot arc, the Goddess's request to assassinate the "hero".
Main character deepens intimate relationship with Dia (without any plans to get married with his cousin/half-sister). Is incest/statutory rape with a family member a crime in the US/Japan/Canada?? (Yes.) Does a person that in mind and body does not exist on Earth, guilty of sexual crimes toward minors? (universal declaration of human rights protects minors from criminals and crimes (anywhere, that is why it is "universal").) Is it a crime to promote in light novels, sexual crimes to minors? (yes).
The main character and his retinue is increasing the products his "fake front" company sells. Main character improves spells (team is able to mutate to animals) and weapons his retinue uses. Main character desires harem lifestyle with his retinue (cousin, aide, and employee-manager).
Main character (assassin) wishes to be able to fight and defeat demon monsters. With improvement in level and type of spells, and stronger weapons and ammo, is able in volume 3 to fight and defeat demons in this alternate reality world. Was he hired to hunt down demon monsters? (no.) Is this a requirement of the Goddess? (No.) Why? (maybe because he has nothing else to do, since he doesn't really intend to assassinate the "hero" in this 3rd. volume.
Main character is not yet a noble, his father is the noble, main character is still now the "son" of a noble. Because of this, isn't it impossible for him to become a Knight? Doesn't the main character need to inherit the noble title?
It's an alternate reality world and the author seems not to worry or care about making it real or logical. I feel the light novel is not going anywhere. What point does a story have if it has no point, rules or plot advancements?

All the intimacy and harem stuff is extremely cringe.
The action scenes and the power building ideas are good.
Lots of stuff still doesn't make sense.
He figured out how to fly long distance (glider + wind magic), in book 1, and yet they still travel slowly in a wagon for 5 days to get to an emergency....

The plot is progressing. Lugh is starting to realize there is more to his mission than meets the eye.
I am enjoying the character development and the plot is interesting. I can't wait to start the next volume.

There was a lot of nice character development
Dia is now schemeing new spells
Tarte developed an alternate personality and it was awesome to see her win in a spar with Lugh
(it was was also surprising to see the narrative switch to third person for the first time)

Furthering a Great Story
This volume slows things down but goes deeper. Luug, Dia, Tarte and Maha get stronger while the forces they deal with become more varied. On to Vol 4, after reading in two days of quick storytelling.

The plot thickens. And there was finally consummation! Love how Lugh was able to come up with enhancements as well as techniques no one thought of due to his prior knowledge. 👏 Great read and continuation of the story . Can’t wait to see how Lugh navigates these royal politics going forward.

Great novel
I enjoyed this volume very much. However some areas where a bit monotonous so I just skimmed over those spots. Overall it was awesome. Can't wait for the next volume.

This was one of the best books in the series so far there is a lot of character development and new discoveries.
