New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a collection of poetry and verses describing nature, new relationships and a move to Spain.
The poems describe how people meet and how relationships grow, how love between two people works. It also discusses how life decisions are made- whether they’re the right ones or the wrong ones. The verses discuss ‘love at first sight’ or at least how people can feel comfortable in each other’s company from a very early stage after meeting.
Each poem is accompanied by a verse which gives a commentary of the narrators relationship and opinions of the world around them.

‘New Beginnings’ by Victoria Day-Joel is a collection of poetry which revolves around different emotions and is heart touching. The poems revolve around love how relationships start and how these feelings bond two people together. I liked how the author has expressed her feelings on the new beginning of a relationship and would surely captivate the readers throughout the book.
Each poem has a deep meaning which will linger with the readers for a longer time how the world can sometimes be a bit difficult but how we cope up with these difficult times and be grateful for the current times is also important. At times we also have to come up with decisions that can be difficult to take or times when we might be confused if we are making the right or wrong decisions. I really liked how the author has put up her thoughts on these difficult times too and will surely soothe the readers mind.
Language is simple and lucid. The poems are beautifully written and I would surely recommend them to all the readers who are looking forward to read poems.

" New Beginnings "a book written by Victoria Day-Joel - a collection of beautiful poems and verses compiled together in this amazing book. Such a beautifully written collection of poems and verses. The poems revolve around life, moving on, hopes, and heartbreak too. This book is a masterpiece. I could relate to the poems so much.
I just can't express in words how good the book is there, mesmerizing! It speaks right to the heart. If you arent into poetry, pick this up and try it and you'll like it But if you love poetry well it'll be an amazing one to be part of your collection! It's very emotional empowering of sorts and you can connect in a lot of ways. It is a lovely book indeed. With every page, you feel as if you're not reading the book but reading and understanding the life of the author. It is a well-written collection of words.

New Beginnings by author Victoria is a collection of poems about relationships and emotions . This was roller coaster rider which I enjoyed reading .
Poetry making me better in these critical days which I'm surrounded now a days . The first sight of love which I experienced a years back I recalled those days after reading this book .
" I deserve to be black,
I deserve to be white,
I deserve to be a woman,
I deserve to be a man.
We deserve to be equal without a fight. "
Our pair can relate these lines cuz everyone sees our colour but we never heard of those things .
Loved reading this book .

New beginnings is a collection of fine poems. These poems are about seasons, love, freedom and her perspective of the world. Every poem includes a small note probably for readers to feel the same about the poem as a poetess. Emotions purely flowed throughout the poems.
Poems like"Home sitting", "Two years ago", " Like Monday" are remarkable. I love cats and have them too but relating us with surrogate mother was not my mind. And I loved it.
Her observation about a twinkling thing like a blink of an eye,
use of the Zodiac sign for mentioning her state is impressive.
These poems have inspired me and filled with love and hope.
"Highly recommended".

About life and love and new beginnings. Designations and the moon. The universe and wondering about the future. You can feel and relate to what the poems are saying and reading it especially in a time where travel is very minimum makes one feel that we .. I am trapped and that I can’t wait to feel free again. Our new car is called Gypsy and I can’t help but feel it’s fitting as maybe it’ll take us on many adventures. It was nice to read this. There is magic in words and magic in the universe if we can think to look for it.

Peaceful Poetry
Victoria Day-Joel has written a lovely compilation of peaceful poetry that was easy to read through in one reading. However, I love poetry so much that I took the time to read through several of them a few times. They touch on topics as simple as the weather, although the meaning I found to be deeper. One is titled 'Rain'. A few of the lines read, "It's at the window, soothing and therapeutic. The deeper noise is not my mind, But traffic on the periphery." (You must buy the book to read the rest of the poem.) Other poems are very sensual, such as 'Sweetness'. "I want to climb in bed with you; Touch you, smell you, wrap myself around you." (You must buy the book to read more.) I must say that I truly loved every poem that I read. Bravo Victoria Day-Joel!

'New Beginnings' by Victoria Day-Joel is an anthology of selected poems by the poetess, arranged in an alluring and chronological manner. The book contains a number of poems in sequence and has little notes at the end of each piece which gives it a very fine touch and helps reach the emotions straight to the minds of the reader. It is a reflection on the human mind which often gets lost in the surroundings to break free from its chained melodies.
The human heart is susceptible to emotions and is more pure and tender than it seems. It's brittle, and humans go through this never-ending loop where they fall, cry, hurt, dust the dirt off their shoes,gather their broken selves up again and look all strong when they swing their handbags and waft their black ties off to work the next morning.
The readers are captivated by the ornate vocabulary embroidering the minute descriptions relating to seasons, trees and even love.The sequential order of the poems carries every bit of a message as from the meeting of two lovers to the lovers craving for each other's presence in the vast stillness of the night.
One of my most favorite poems from here was 'Your World' where the poetess yearns to be free. Her desperation to stop the violation of women's rights is very evident in so few lines.The love for freedom of the poetess is lucid and relevant and the suppression of women even today becomes even more transparent.The first-person narrative, the fine details, the raw emotions alongwith the commendable metaphors are bound to steal your heart.
'My Aquarius air is a restlessness;
Your Capricorn earth is stillness.' (pg 18, ref. 'Future')
Such is the gorgeous characterisation blooming in these pages.
The short and sweet and deep tour will surely leave an imprint on your heart and cry out to you a lullaby of dreams you wished to have.
'You can fly a million miles in your mind and not walk
a footstep.' (pg. 32, ref. 'Near But Far')
These are but lines of wisdom deftly putting forward a brisk and unfolding reality.The more you delve further into the pages, you'll find yourself reflecting on these points and wishing to inculcate these in your life as well.
This book is a must read for all lovers of poetry and literature.
With every passing poem, it strikes a chord and emphasises more on the beauty of nature, on the beauty-of life.
'our bodies are temporary; it's our soul that is forever.'(pg 51, ref. Observe)
I loved this book enough to ponder on the liveliness it contained and I would recommend it to every poetry-lover and literature addict out there!

A collection of personal poetry with commentaries.
New Beginnings is a really interesting concept as I haven’t encountered many poets who provide an explanation or further writing with their work so immediately after each poem, giving an extra dimension to the book. I think I might have liked a larger white space between the two aspects to allow me to think about and absorb the poetry and verses a little more before moving on to the exposition, but this is very much my personal viewpoint and I found Victoria Day-Joel’s explanations gave a super added dimension of understanding.
What Victoria Day-Joel achieves in New Beginnings is an honest insight into a mature woman’s innermost thoughts and feelings as she takes her reader through her desire to start afresh in Spain, through her passionate love and through her successes and frustrations. This makes the anthology feel real and immediate. There’s a really important message in New Beginnings about living in the moment, being true to yourself and appreciating aspects of life like the moon and nature rather than seeing success in terms of material acquisition, so that this is a book of inspiration as well as entertainment. It was the natural imagery and the frequent questions in the verses that drew me in, alongside the expressions of love that pepper the text.
I think what I appreciated most about New Beginnings was the author’s honesty and willingness to expose her desires, her flaws and her reality. It made New Beginnings feel intimate and confidential.
I really enjoyed being part of Victoria Day-Joel’s journey – which is exactly how the poems in New Beginnings made me feel; as if I had been somehow included in her experience, albeit briefly. I finished reading the anthology wondering if she has achieved her aim of living in Spain, or if the Brexit impact fears she had have been further exasperated by the recent pandemic. I hope not. Reading New Beginnings made me think I’d enjoy meeting Victoria Day-Joel very much and I hope all her dreams expressed here come true.

Do you like reading poems or are you also a poet?
I love poetry. It's such a beautiful way of expressing oneself but in contrast to long soliloquys or proses all the emotions are concentrated into only few words and lines!
Poetry has no fixed notion. It may come into free contemporary verse style or classic rhymic type.
New beginnings by author Victoria Day- Joel is a beautiful collection of poems. Poems on nature to poems on different aspects of one's relationships.
There is a saying that Earth has music for those who listen. And isnot that true?
Here some poems paint the everlasting beauty of the nature that surrounds us.
The beautiful seasons, chirping bird, blooming flowers everything that brings tranquility to our chatic inner world.
Then there are poems on love.
Love is a beautiful feeling.
But the facets of it carry various hues. The first meet , that when it is in its full bloom to separation. The poems touch so many shades. What I liked was that each poem accompanied a brief verse with it that gave me more insights into the situation.
The unconditional love was evident about the love that lets one grow.
Few more poems painted the authors soul that's bohemian that talks about shifting to a foreign land and making it it's home once more.
They are lucid. Comprehensible.
And yes what are poems if not relatable!
They certainly are heart warming!
Recommended to poetry lovers.

"I dream of living on a narrowboat taking in the ever-changing scenery; And a foreign getaway where you can walk barefoot and feel warmth on your soles."
We have Poetry in everything that we see, that we do and that already exist in the universe. All it takes is an outlook and perspective to beautifully weave them into words.
New Beginnings is one such poetry collection which talks about the new life, a fresh love, self care, an unknown familiar place, the nature, the seasons and many other related things.
Surprisingly, each of the poems is well accompanied by the proses that will make you understand the incident or thought behind her poetic compositions. They were more of a Journaling style and I loved the concept.
There were moments of intense emotional feeling shared to a lover, nostalgic for a new familiar place, the comfort of the outside noise, and many other feel good notions.
Sharing you another beautiful lines from the title 'Rain'-
"It’s at the window, soothing and therapeutic.
The deeper noise is not my mind,

Bypassing around me.
Whilst I am dry,
Rain is showering the earth to
keep us alive."

A beautiful garland of enticing poetries’ is what I would like to call the book ‘New Beginnings’. Written by the author Victoria Day-Joel, the poems of this book depict love, romance, freedom, and hope. We can feel and see a vision of the happy world created by the poetess through her mild verses. Each poem has a story to tell or rather a story to connect. The book took me deep within my thoughts I felt like I am reading this book sitting on a freshly groomed grassy ground under a blossom tree on a very fine spring day. Every page was filled with positivity and gratitude.
The poems are accompanied by short notes that deliver the perspective of the poetess to its readers. Poems like ‘Mother Moon’, ‘Observe’, ‘Saturday’, ‘Near but far’ are some that I personally adore from this collection. While reading the poems from this book you can feel the beaming light that enlightens your soul with hope and faith.

Though the poetry I know is all about rhyming, this book changed my mind. I really enjoyed reading narrative poetry. The author put in a lot of efforts in choosing the right words because it is difficult to convey a lot in few words and must appreciate the author for that.
Here and there, I found few grammatical errors, apart from that I felt the poems were a light hearted read. Few of the lines which are very heart touching for me are as follows:
"Who made the rules?
I'll buy an ice-cream and become a tourist in my hometown"
From a poem Saturday
"You are my sweetness;, once I have a taste I don’t want to leave!"
And in the end there is a message to a lover which is the most beautiful peom in the entire book. These are just few lines of it.

New Beginnings is a wonderful collection of poems accompanied with verses.All the poems are very heart touching and many of them are relatable. There is a deep meaning hidden in all the poems. She has described beautifully about nature, new relationships and a move to Spain. The poems discuss about relationship, life decisions and love.
The poems are really thought provoking and will have a permanent place in Your heart.The writing style and narration is really smooth which seems really magical.This collection will always remain close to my heart and I'll read it again and again.My favourite poems from the book are 'Future', 'Tender Hearts', 'Black & White' and 'Not Just Numbers"

The book " New beginnings " by the author Victoria day - Joel is a compilation of the author's musings penned in the forms of poetry and verses, expressing the unsaid emotions we all go through.
Poems are composed in freestyle with raw and ardent emotions underlying them. Though a majority of the poems are centered around love emotions and their unexpressed feelings, there are also some which focus on life, moving on, hopes, and heartbreak too.
I liked the way the author has tried to bring together a multitude of sentiments from different dimensions of life and highlighted each of them quite beautifully.
The ideology written in with the poems was a thoughtful addition according to me. This book is an incredible selection of poetry.
I found so much meaning in these pages, everything felt personal and calming, and several of the poems moved me to tears. It's simplistic and accessible writing, so if you're looking to dip your toe in the water with poetry, this is perfect.
Overall, it was a good read. If you are a poetry lover, you can surely give this book a read.

This is a collection of beautiful poems. Each poem is based on different perspectives of life. The themes include love, life, emotions and several other topics. Each poem is beautiful and impactful. The simple words are easily relatable to your state of mind. The poems captured variety of emotions. This is an easily relatable book.
I loved the narration of each poem. Each poem is beautiful in its own way. It's a tiny book, I finished it in one sitting only.
The language used is pretty simple and easy making it a comfortable read.
Each poem is short and has the right amount of expression and emotions flowing through them. It was wonderful read. One of my favourite lines are..from the poem named "Black & White"

New Beginnings penned by the author Victoria Day-Joel is an intriguing collection of poems and verses based on the new relationships, love, etc. These poems are written in few lines but they convey very deep feelings.
Thirteen days blown away,
With a bond so strong
In this world we don’t belong,
Because we are the universe.
Through above lines, author is trying to say how with someone we develop an instant connection and we feel comfortable with them even though we have just met them for the first time. Poems and verses are kept short and written in simple language. Author has not dragged her feelings too much. Just in few words, she has smoothly expressed herself. I appreciate verses at the end of each poem as that helped me to connect more with the poems.
If you are in love or a romantic person then you will fall in love with Victoria's writing. I was so captivated by these poems that I couldn't keep the book aside until I finished it. I am really craving to read more of Victoria's work. Strongly recommended for poetry lovers.

A anthology of poems and plethora of emotion.
This Poetry book cover the theme of ones whole life, from the shaddy pain to amazing love and regret.
Poem gives a sense of home and nature, everything is connected so well, that I almost lost several times in the this wordplay. Poems didn't specifically follow any rhyming scheme but it has inner rhymes and meters intact.
Though all the poems are independent, but one can not oversee the relation they hold and can be related. There are some Poems that lay flat. For ex - 'corners'. The verses here are lying flat and kind of disoriented. But there are only 2-3 poems like this, so it's overall a good job.
This book should be read with a fresh approach and must be finish in 1 go, to thoroughly enjoy the feeling. One can then part the beautiful poems and read them seperately. And i feel one will enjoy this book much better if they go for a second or third time read. Those simple wordplay have a lot to discover and can be interpreted at various levels. A great book and not it's a part of my poetry collection.

Totally loved it, all the poems were quite good. From the first poem till the last one, the poems seems to have been written with a purpose.
Poems completely reflect the place the poet is coming from, take for instance these lines, "How can you look into my eyes and see the water?As strangers, I knew you were my future.Creative in our own worlds,

This was a collection of some beautiful poems. I enjoyed reading them a lot.
This poems describe a journey. A journey of love,loss and move. A journey filled with memories, emotions and seasons. Each poem has a diverse feel of it's own. Most of them discussed relevant topics. Poems like "Raw" and "Lovers" has a different feel of it's own.

New Beginnings is a beautiful collection of poetry which took me by surprise. I am not much of a poetry fan but when I came across this title , I had a feeling that I should pick this up because I thought may be in such times of crisis and despair when everything around you is falling apart, all you want is to put an end to everything and start with new beginnings.
The author of the book has covered all the aspects a human being can possibly be experience.
From love to nature to new relationships, trip to a foreign land.Everything is beautifully weaved in words by Victoria. The language is very simple yet crisp. The book is only 51 pages long so you can finish the book probably on your trip back from office or university.
I am sure it will leave you refreshed and energised.
My rating is 5/5

“We make a love that binds without chains.” A line with deep meaning and a wish and need for everyone who is in relationship, to be free while in love. The poet has gone further to add a beautiful verse, “My beautiful man, you move me like an emotional hurricane.” Such addition in poetry beautify the poetry more and give it a turning point.
“We are the universe, infinite energy. You’ve mastered ‘in the moment’.” This beautiful line reminds us to live in the moment. These are the hard times for the whole world and being grateful and living in the moment matter the most. These poetries are different because it comes with verses of its own which opens up a door for narrator’s own viewpoint.
It’s an amazing book filled with soothing poems. This is a short read, but rushing through it all at once will leave you asking for more. Fantastic work by the poet. A fresh viewpoint is what all we need. I highly recommend this. MUST BUY.

I loved how each poetry covers a different aspect, and each one leave a different impact on reader.
Personally me being a sucker for Poetries I felt grateful that I chose to read this collection.
The additional quote at the end of each prose felt like a cherry on the cake.
It's very difficult to chose one favourite prose but this one had my heart when I read for the first time-

Poetries are always felt amusing, and today I got my hands on this sweet read. The book has a total gust of cold winds to make your temperament a little chill and to relax.
To be honest, my experience with this poetry was impressive. It's a short book to read. I was able to finish it without any further delay. It's a great book to read if you are going through strange feelings. You would probably find your solutions inside these poetries.
The book is soothing. Writing pattern follows different types of poetry elements. Figures of speech, syntax, and structure are very well-placed.
Rhyming words are making it more flexible and classic. After each poetry in majority of them you will see verses. These verses are describing multiple emotions, relationships, feelings, love, friendships, critiques. This will make your day a wonderful one.
To create a perfect dish, one needs a balance of everything, and here author Victoria made a wonderful dish of love. It was a pleasure to see the balance between numerous emotions, and a great narration.

I love reading poems, poems are like a beautiful balm to soothe the soul.
New Beginnings is such a beautiful and beloved collection of poems by a Victoria who has captured the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of avid readers. Her writing and thoughts are so beautiful and you can relate to her poems. It's a stunning collection of poems focusing on different different themes.
This book made me feel good, positive and calm. The poems are short, simple and meaningful. I was able to feel connected with so many poems. All the thoughts and feelings has been conveyed so eloquently and yet so simply. All the poems are composed beautifully and it's difficult to select any one but there is one poem that I read 3 times - Tender Hearts.
This is definitely a collection that l'l read again, and will flick to random pages often.

This is an assortment of delightful sonnets. Every sonnet depends on alternate points of view of life. The subjects incorporate love, life, feelings and a few different points.
