What happens when the man of your dreams proves fantasy is better than reality?

Chase Anderson is everything I want in a man. Tall. Handsome. Compassionate. Confident. He makes me feel things I haven’t in years.

There’s just one problem: me. He can’t stand me and I’m getting to where I can’t stand him either.

The glares stiffen my resolve to forget about my dream man and

The Changeupis the first book in the new series, Boys of Summer, which revolves around a minor league baseball team. In The Changeup, we meet the head coach, Chase Anderson and the new hospitality employee, Emma Carlisle. At first, there is definite tension, maybe even a little dislike between them. But maybe there is more to their “dislike”, it could be they are both feeling something that they never felt before. Is there a chemistry brewing? Both Chase and Emma need time to figure thi

ARC received from author in exchange for my honest review.

The perfect Summer read!! The Changeup had all the happy feels that I was expecting from a baseball romance!! Add in the sassiness of Emma and the snark of Chase you have the makings for a sexy and fun story!!

Chase Anderson a former baseball player and now current coach has enough on his plate with the upkeeping season as well as taking care of his ailing mother. The last thing he needs is to be attracted to her the first woman who h

4 Star Review The Changeup (Boys of Summer #1) by A.M.Williams

This is book one in the Boys of Summer series and was an enjoyable read. This is head baseball coach Chase Anderson and hospitality manager Emma Carlisle’s story.

From the moment they meet there is tension between Chase and Emma, but is it the kind of tension you want? There’s a fine line between love and hate and as the tension increases it moves to a chemistry that is hard to ignore. Chase is under a lot of pressure , he has a sick

Book one in the new Boys of Summer Series and what a great start to the new series.
A.M. Willians is still a fairly new author to me but with each book I pick up I find myself falling for her characters and loving her words and the stories she tells.
This is head baseball coach Chase Anderson and the teams hospitality manger Emma Carlisle’s journey. Their journey starts off bumpy to say the least, you can feel the tension in the air whenever they are in the same room but Chase and Emma are feeli

I have not read the previous version.

Chase and Emma's story is a office romance with a bit of enemies to lovers. Chase is the baseball coach. Emma was just hired as the teams hospitality manager. He does not make a very good first impression.

I love Emma & Callie's relationship. I'm looking forward to her story.

Emma and Chase were instant fireworks! From their first interaction to the end of the story they were explosive!

Emma was a woman of my heart! Her no nonsense I deserve more attitude is what I love in a heroine!

Their back and forth was angsty and kept my attention! I loved their chemistry and how well the fit together!

This book has it all!!!
Prepare to fall in love with A.M. Williams’ newest characters Chase and Emma! Their chemistry is the stuff of really hot, hot legends, and their love happens without either one realizing that those feelings their bodies and hearts experience is called love. Chase, a professional pitcher on the fast track and at the crossroads of entering the major leagues, suffers a career-ending injury which forces his focus from playing to coaching, a transition he makes with absolute el

The Change Up is book one from the Boys of Summer Series. This is a baseball, enemies to Insta-love romance. It was previously published as Coahed in Love. It's a quick, easy read focusing on characters Chase and Emma.

This book had potential but didn't hit the mark for me. First there was a lack of plot development. Nothing really happens in this book. There's just a bunch of bickering and a sex scene or two. The story never a

Sports (Baseball) Romance/Adult Romance

The Changeup is the first in this series (Boys of Summer #1) and is a quick sports romance read!

Chase is the head coach of a baseball team/league and Emma is a hospitality worker at the team’s stadium. When these two meet there are sparks!

Both characters are relatable and interesting. Chase is a strong, quiet and an attractive man. He has a detailed backstory that allowed me to connect and unders

This is my second novel I’ve read by AM Williams. First and foremost, let me say that I did enjoy this story, however, just wish there was more to it. It’s Book 0.5 in the Boys of Summer Series; all surrounding a team of baseball players. This was, as the title suggests is about the coach.

The coach, Chase, was a pitcher in the big leagues years ago for a few short seasons before retiring due to an injury. That injury left him making the realization that his fiancé and best friend was

Coached in Love is the first book that I have read by the A.M. Williams so I was not sure what to expect. But the description looked interesting so I thought I would pick it up as I always love to discover a new author that I can add to my ever growing list. I was not fully impressed with Coached in Love in regards to the actual story-line. But the writing by A.M Williams is very good.

This is a prequel of sorts to the series. It is book 0.5. It is new to me as well as this author. This is a quick read and well as easy. Some, sports, and lust, with some passion and good friends. I read it in one go and it kept me along for the ride.

I liked the overall concept of the book. The people were likable and I think I could get along with them as well. You get some baseball and you get some backstory on Chase. Chase had his dreams cut short by injury and he became a coach and a good o

More an exercise in frustration than an actual romance novel, Coached in Love may work as the introduction to a new series, but it does not work as a love story. This novella follows Chase, a pro baseball player turned coach who finds himself attracted to the team’s new hospitality manager, Emma. His ex did a number on him and Emma reminds him of her, so Chase tries to push her away. When they run into each other outside of work and the drinks are flowing, they finally have a real conversation a ...more

Chase was a professional baseball player until an injury took him out of the game, and now he's a Coach these days. However, his fiance did a number on him when he couldn't play anymore, which has made him kind of a douche when it comes to relationships so he tends to stay away from them, until Emma came to work for the team. She's a smart, beautiful, take no nonsense kind of woman that had him really acting the fool towards her as he had an instant attraction to her that he didn't know what to ...more

This is book number 1 of the Boys of Summer series and focuses on Chase and Emma. Chase is the head coach and Emma is the hospitality manager. Chase is a former professional player who moved into a coaching position after a career ending injury. On top of the injury he was dealing with his sick mom and discovered his ex cheating on him. He had walls for days built up. This leads him to act like a jerk to Emma on the regular when she is just trying to do her job. Once they do begin a relationship ...more

Can I say how much I loved Emma and Chase?! I love that Emma didn't give 2 *things* about standing up to Chase. Yes, she thought Chase was attractive but she was NOT going to put up with him being rude to her. Or ignoring her. And I love her for that. Yes, she might be attracted to him but she was still going to call him on the carpet as she needed to. And apparently, Chase seemed to be a fan, not that he was telling Emma that.

Emma and Chase are great together, even if they aren't really being

"He couldn't let himself become distracted. And that's exactly what she was: a distraction."

Chase Anderson lives and breathes baseball. Coach of the Somerville Spartans, he's focused on winning. He's not remotely looking for a relationship or love, since he's been burnt in the past.

Emma Carlisle has just started a new job with the baseball team. She has some great ideas to improve things, however, she never expected the surliness of the team's head coach. One drunken night puts them in

"This is a great start to the Boys Of Summer series. It doesn't feature on of the players, but it is about the head coach Chase and the teams head of hospitality Emma.
Chase is quite the jerk to Emma at the beginning, and there are parts throughout this novella that had me shaking my head about him. But deep down he is a great guy and is lucky to have found Emma, he just needs to work through his past.

The life that Chase planned takes a detour when an injury ends his dreams of playing professionally. He now finds himself trying to balance the demands of coaching a team with the responsibilities of his family so he doesn’t need any further distractions in the form of his sweet and sassy co-worker.

Emma is excited about the opportunity to work for the team, and she is determined to succeed. The last thing she needs is to be attracted to her sexy yet cranky co-worker who irritates her like no one

What a great start to a new series combing my favorite sport of baseball with hot men! Williams does a really good job of describing the dedication it takes to not only be a baseball player but a coach as well. While reading it was just like you were there. Of course there must be a love interest and Emma fits that to a T. Chase has his moments. He was burned in the love department and while attracted to Emma, he didn’t want to be and she didn’t either. Lack of communication on both sides led to ...more

First book I have read from this author and it was enjoyable from beginning to end. Emma is starting a new job as the hospitality manager for the baseball team. A position a girl usually does not have. Not only is this a position a girl normally doesn't have but she is up against a coach that is a complete butthead. Chase Anderson is someone that should be punched. When he first meets Emma he is a complete butthead. He is hateful and mean to her. There is no reason for him to act the way that he ...more

The story about Chase and Emma. They meet at the baseball club where they both work, Chase as head coach and Emma just started as hospitality manager. The attraction is there immediately, but Chase’s grumpy behavior gives them a rough start. Chase has a lot of baggage: girlfriend who ran off with best friend after getting injured and was told never to play high-level baseball again. It almost messes up the relationship and chance to be happy, but hé comes to his senses anyway . A well written bo ...more

4.5-stars for book 1 of the Boys of Summer series

I have read a few of this authors books and they have been good but this one has a hot baseball player turned coach vs. his snarky, sassy co-worker. While parts of it were slow & most of the heat implied, that doesn't stop the witty banter that will hook you till the very last page. While I wasn't totally happy with a HFN ending and not a HEA, I figure readers will get more from the bonus scene and as more books from the series are available. Woul

Emma's first glance of Chase gets her heart aflutter until he snubs her. Chase is attracted to Emma but has the weight of the world on his shoulders and doesn't know how to deal with it. Emma and Chase go through a roller coaster of emotions as they try to navigate through work, a sick mother and pressure from the team owner.

I thought this romance was quite fun to read. I did feel for Emma and wasn't sure about Chase as he was pretty grumpy, but once he turned around, he could be quite sweet.

Good but ….
Good romance, well written, hot, but I found it that often the heroes argue a lot with their friends to question themselves, which does not necessarily put them in value, or else belittles their character a little because they seem to always need someone to assist them in their thinking.
Chase, a baseball coach, struggles to figure out what he wants with a new employee, Emma, and he goes back and forth with her heart, as the latter is magnetically drawn to him, but she doesn't want

They hate each other, but they get past that soon enough. Chase is frustrating, not dealing well with the stress of his job. He really is a great son, dealing with his mother and her Alzheimer's. Emma is hardworking, and fortunate to do what she loves - hospitality - and combine that to work surrounded by her other love - baseball. The banter between them was amusing, sometimes lol funny. I loved the book, but I'm a sucker for a hot baseball romance. They have a bumpy road to their romance, and ...more
