I read this because I enjoyed David Sinclair’s healthspan and wanted to read something similar that had been published more recently for updates.
This was nothing like it. It’s essentially a difficult to achieve diet programme, which does talk about some of the science, but not as in depth as healthspan. It’s also very American-centric. As a health-conscious, organic vegetable-growing vegetarian living in the UK (where healthy whole foods are much more easily available than in the US), it would be very difficult to achieve this diet. How on earth anyone in America could achieve it I have no idea. The science was presented very one-sidedly, which makes me suspicious that it might be dodgy.
I will not be adopting the diet! I will however increase my rosemary and turmeric consumption (and will continue with the NMM, moderate coffee and red wine, fasting, sea swimming etc recommended in the much better healthspan)
