I am Beck, Austin Beck. Ok, that was lame. I am Austin, and I love litrpg, gamelit, harem, wuxia, and xianxia! My first novel, Mixed Martial Cultivator: Round One, combines all of these genres together. I write books that are action-packed in more ways than one. They do have graphic depictions of the naughty nature, so you have been warned. If you are kind enough to read my novels...PLEASE leave a review for me. They are so important for new authors like me! Thank you for checking my novels out. Happy Reading!

The cultivation system was okay, but not great, but the biggest issue were the characters -- they seemed neither realistic not likable, including the protagonist.

Several times the MC behaved with both arrogance and complete lack of situational awareness and battle sense; only to be saved by plot armor.

took some time

Okay, it took some time for John to rub off on me. He constantly angered me… I mean him constantly disrespecting everyone, mouthing off to everyone just got on my nerves… I knew though that eventually something would go down with hektor… I knew something wasn’t right with him… but at the time John needed to play ball a bit more to get his powers up and learn more about the world… use hektor since he had his favor and get all he could before doing what he had to do. Also, John made lots of errors to me… for one, Ryker and his lightning mages wouldn’t have been given a free pass. NO SIR, two Ivory although nice and all as well as the elves bartender was not warranted… well, the bartender didn’t matter because nothing happened… but Ivory was another matter altogether. He had that affair when he has 4 wives… they never found out… how would he feel about that if kata or any of his wives went to visit a village met an innkeeper and had a one night stand with him? I will just leave that tidbit to stew and urn in your minds if you’re one of the guys thinking it would be okay think if it was your wives doing it to you. So I wasn’t cool with that. The end of the book was mega rushed. Beck said he loved to write it and it was bittersweet to end then he should have given us better closure. What happened with Veronica and the weeping sun sect? What happened to that super evil tiger rank in that distant dark evil land that was controlling the night ripper? Did his wives improve in rank? Our favorite resident healer was only a firefly and she was HEA,in insane trauma… can you imagine what she could do at tortoise? Viper or mantis? 😂 she’d probably resurrect people. I just think beck focused so much on the tower then when we got to the tower there was only like 9 or 10% of the book left. That was no good. I wanted to see insane battle and strife inside of there. Maybe learn more about who the ancient ones are… he talked about running into more Phoenix ranks… like wow, I’d love to explore that too bad now that he can moon walk that must make him immortal. What happened to Ezekiel? Who does he work for now? Also why not go back for Rhonda? What happened with her was just shocking to be honest. Just so many holes and hanging chads ya know? Anyways, I give this a 3.75 but rounded up to a 4. I do enjoy Becks style but I just wished that he followed though more on the completion. On to the next! Onward lads!

While I had some good hopes for this series, I gave up halfway through the boxset. The main reasons are the lack of story and the MC being, imho, a bit of an ass. There is no to hardly any depth to the characters in this book. It's mostly a fight here and there, get rewards/be seen as some kind of messiah that needs heavy support and some erotic scenes.

If you're looking for a cultivation book, this isn't it. To me it feels like cultivation meets litRPG but in a very minimalistic kinda way, not using the best either has to offer.

Great series

This is a great series and very quick reads. I thought the main character’s progression throughout the series was incredible. I am going to miss the world and the characters that Beck created. I really hope he decides to revisit this world in the future.

Also, I wanted to comment that the author’s writing improved leaps and bounds from the first book to the third book.

Entertaining Series

John is an MMA champion who is offered an alternative to a very unpleasant outcome of a fight. He chooses to be transported to another planet where he he becomes a cultivator. Evil stalks his path as he tries to protect those that he loves and others. This is a compilation of the three books series. The books chronicle his rise in power and accumulation of lovers. I like the action, humor, and love.

Excellent novel series

Loved every minute of it but I have noticed it is plagued by a large number of spelling/word choice errors. As an editor I feel this detracted from the wonderful novel. Very little in the way of gamelit and cultivation intricacies, more of an action adventure type novel. I still gave it five stars because I actually expect harem type cultivation novels to have these types of issues, sadly.

Outstanding Series

I bought the box set and devoured it in five days, I mean a guy does have to sleep sometimes! LeBrock's journey as a cultivator over the three books is remarkable. His growth in abilities, and personal growth from arrogance to finally learning humility. The fast paced action, adventure and generous spice flows well. I enjoyed these books tremendously.

Really good value for the price

I picked up this as both Audible and the kindle version , only issue was Audible skip'ed some parts or didn't match the text slightly. The story seemed a bit fast at the end, seemed like could of done another book for the tower and the end scenes. Other then that it was enjoyable and so are the other books from them.

Interesting story

Pretty fun to read though I felt the tower ascension was glossed over. My only real issue is Chapter one. He states that he is still in his trunks and gloves and very sweaty after his fight. So knowing he needs a shower it still takes him 2 days to finally get one.

DNF. MC is just a typical douche that's meant to sound cool and strong and misses the mark by a long shot. Over macho bravado, "all the girl want me," very excessive cursing (doesn't offend me, but makes the character sound juvenile and it's just downright obnoxious), etc.
