Jason and his three beautiful girlfriends never imagined the dino apocalypse could get this wild. But they’ve finally gotten some long-awaited answers, they have a spaceship and a gorgeous alien pilot, and their most important mission has suddenly come to light. If only they could shake the horde of government officials off their backs so they could get to saving the world.
SF Fantasy harem adult situations dinosaurs aliens MC Jason and his three women are brave enough, but there are a few questionable events. I wanted to give this 5 stars, but I can't. The first three books were realistic and gripping.
The first event was, after having worked hard to obtain a quality sword to fight with, during their capture by the slavers, they lose the sword. They get away and rescue Kat and her army partner and do not even try to retrieve the sword, because they have guns and guns always work.
Next is Jason himself. In book 1, he made love to one woman and had to rest a few hours before attending to his other partner. Suddenly, in book 4, Kat is sent off by her CO because as things break down, Kat and the other women on the army base are increasingly in danger from their fellow soldiers, so she joins Jason, Becka, and Hae-won because they're effective dinosaur killers and Jason is cute, his current girlfriends are happy and wants in on the sex. Without explanation by the author and unquestioned by the characters, Jason can make love to all three without getting soft or have issues with running low on semen.
Spoilers In this book, the reason for attacks are revealed, and it was well presented. The alien woman's trust is earned, and she gives them weapons to use against the dinosaurs. Aside from the fact that a scout ship has a huge armory aboard, well, all right. When they overhear two MI5 agent talk about the other alien they tortured to death, they kill them. Oohrah. When the race back to their base, no one thinks that if they are going to hide the alien scout they better hide the alien weapons they have been using. None of the three uni students think that obvious visual detail might be a problem, nor does former army Corporal Kat Grant pick up on this important detail. Now, Jason realizes the mistake, and tries to lie to the black ops MI5 agents. Naturally, they are suspicious, and a fight breaks out. The 20+ agents managed to wound three civilians in a close quarters fight while the amateur civilians help our plucky heroes kill all of trained agents. All right, they are supremely lucky. What had me shouting was the plucky heroes pausing to chat about whether they were all right -- in the middle of the gun battle. It killed the momentum of the fight itself. If the author wants to portray professional agents as brutal thugs with the accuracy of Imperial stormtroopers, it's his story and definitely moves the story into space opera. But the pacing of the fight? Wow.
The series had a lot of potential while shifting from a realistic survival story to escapist space opera with unlimited ammo, grenades, and a magic dick to satisfy all the harem with copious seed while begging to have his babies. Personally, I enjoy harem fiction and the potential to explore social relationships both within the group and with outsiders. What are the circumstances that convince two or more women to share one man? Do the women get along? Male fantasy fiction is fine escapist fare and it sells. I will probably continue the series, but I prefer the story format remains consistent. I expect Adhara will sample Jason's tool and not only discover that she loves it, that despite convergent evolution, she is fertile. Probably amazingly so.
Dinosaurs and aliens (is that a Hollywood movie?) not your usual combination! As far as reading for pleasure I have enjoyed everything I have read by Logan Jacobs. They are fantastical, outlandish and all the ways that are important unique. This read is as fast paced as all the other Dinosaur World Series. With ever increasing levels of peril for our hero/heroines, I was beginning to wonder where it would go next to top the previous cliff hanger! After trying to read Afterlife (recommendation from Amazon) and only managing 43% in 3 weeks. I picked this up and finished it in 3 days a thoroughly enjoyable read.
The adventure continues with a little bit of romance
I really enjoyed this series I like the characters the way they talk and interact with each other and I also like the fight scenes between the main characters and the Dinos. This time the story has more culmination of what's going on it's actually aliens and I'm very interested to find out what happens when the main character meets one of the love of his lifes father who happens to be some kind of Yakuza or maybe even something more. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Jason and his beautiful lovers fight more dinos to save themselves and their friends at Ravenhall. A beautiful alien crashes a spaceship nearby. They help her and realize that her planet has caused the dino infestation. All because the LHC was operating and making the distant aliens think they were going to be attacked. MI5 comes looking for the alien and are taken out. They manage to repair the ship and get airborne. And Jason finds out that his baby batter is baking in two ovens. Jason a father???
Early foreshadowing in the first two books has proven to be correct. That or Jason knows the future. Another great entry in a great series. The story picks up right after the weird ship crashes and doesn't let up. More dino killing. Spooks show up right on schedule. And awesome alien weapons that I really want myself! If you've made it to book 5 of this series, this one is a no brainer.
Best book of the series by far! What's a crashed alien spaceship in the middle of a dinosaur apocalypse? Just another week of weirdness and fighting dinosaurs at the end of the world.
I loved this book from beginning to end, barely put it down once I started! New friends, cool new weapons and more awesome butt kicking!
And one hell of a revelation or two! Can't wait for the next book!
This has been a fun series so far. I've been giving them 5 star reviews because I like to support the authors I read and I accept these kind of books for what they are but I couldn't do it for this one. After learning vital information the characters are lackadaisical in their efforts to save the world despite the threats being overwhelming. It became frustrating to the point where I just skipped to the end.
Can Jason an his team continue to defeat the dinosaurs an hopeful save the world at the same time .
Jason an his lovely three companions arrive at ravenscar where Becka's mom lives she not there they find her at Raven Hall castle with the whole community living there . Later they find a down an crashed alien aircraft rescue a female alien pilot stitch up her leg . Then later government men in black show up . recommended reading excellent series .
Another awesome edition to a great serious. I thought I was excited for this book to come out but I’m even more excited for #7. I love the story and events advancing and the wholesome family feel of the group. I know it’ll be even better in #7 with that’s coming.
I was very interested how this book would carry the story on. I must say it was pretty good. I know some folks would call me on that but the story picked from the last book and carried it on a easily followed trip. I enjoyed the many times the characters bantered. Ok this is a fantasy book. But it was an enjoyable book to read. 5*****
Definitely a great addition to the series. I really like Adhara and enjoyed her interactions with everyone. Loving the expanding of the story and the Lord being dropped, great character development. Also most importantly i can't wait for the next book to see Jason face off with Hae-wons dad the underground king.
The series is still a fun and different read. Jason and his girls are now out to save the whole world with their new bestie, an an adorable alien female. Her people sent the dino invasion and she's hoping to stop the invasion. The new crew are on board her spaceship e route to Korea as the book ended.
Okay, so the alien portion at the beginning is a little weird as the turn the author decided to take but it works. The story sounds plausible, the weapons are cool, if a little bit like cheats. Overall liked the story and will be looking forward to the next one.
A wondrous read. This author’s writing is smooth to read and kept the action going. This was a page turner for me. There are so many ways this series can go; raising new babies, sex with an alien being, relations with an out of this world culture, rebuilding earth and much more. Wow!
Logan Jacobs just really takes you inside of these books. You can almost picture being there and adding an Alien in the mix just gives the story another element. Really looking forward to the next book and it can't come soon enough .
A fun break from reality that makes good use of for telling. I'm glad that there's more good people surviving, it keeps it apocalypse fun instead of apocalypse depressing.
Especially in this day and agree need more fun entertainment!!! Love the crazy concept f aliens and dinosaurs!!! First class adult fantasy action and crazy cool sci-fi
This series is a fun read. Dinosaurs space Aliens lots of shooting and explosions, bad guys causing problems, good people just trying to survive, heroes and sex. What more do you need.
Story line keep with the same theme. It was nice to see a new character added and she will be a good sound board for the other characters. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Finding Becka’s mum was just the beginning. Working out of the castle hotel the girls and Jason start to train the survivors there to use the weapons Kat brought to the group and kill the attacking dinosaurs. Then things get more interesting.
This series of books has been a fun read even if I have to completely suspend all disbelief and smack the crap out of the "I Believe" button. Still a fun romp, and has not gotten as tedious as I feared it might be by this point. Neat to see dinos from several different epochs, other than just the Jurassic which gets more than enough attention mostly due to some decent movies. Need to keep Wiki handy so that you can look up the less-familiar dinos, but otherwise is still a fun read.
Logan Jacobs has done it again. Another edge of your seat great book in a great series. The action keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens next. Couldn't put it down.
This series is so cool the action never stops. Adhera is a great addition even tho her species about destroyed earth. Becka , Hae wan, Jason and Kat make an undeniable great team.
This is a truly epic story with fantastic and loveable characters you can't help but root for! I eagerly await the next chapter in surviving the dino apocalypse!
