They didn’t need anyone until they needed each other.
Felicity Ford is on the run after her cousin’s suspicious death. At the suggestion of her brother, she escapes to Blackwater Ranch to hide out. When she meets the mysterious Hunter, she recognizes the familiar brokenness inside of him.
Hunter Harding was marked as an outcast a long time ago. The scars on his face are the least of his problems when half the town refuses to do business with him. When Felicity moves into the cabin next door, the solitude he keeps is shaken up.
Will helping Felicity pick up the pieces of her life give them both the new beginning they need or destroy everything they have left?
Redeeming the Cowboy is the sixth book in the Blackwater Ranch series, but the books can be read in any order.
Mandi Blake was born and raised in Alabama where she lives with her husband and daughter, but her southern heart loves to travel. Reading has been her favorite hobby for as long as she can remember, but writing is her passion. She loves a good happily ever after in her sweet Christian romance books and loves to see her characters' relationships grow closer to God and each other.
Mandi Blakes gets better with each and every book she writes, and Redeeming the Cowboy has everything a reader could ever want in a small town cowboy romance. Sweet, Clean, Faith Based and heart wrenching, this is one that I could barely bring myself to put down, and I will be highly recommending it.
I always knew it was going to take a special lady to capture Hunter's heart, especially considering the wounds and scars he's developed both externally and internally over the years, and Felicity is definitely the right gal for the job. What starts as a mutual understanding over past hurts blossoms into a beautiful romance, but how can the two of them ever find their way into the future when certain parts of their past resurface and bring along dangerous consequences?
From start to finish, Redeeming the Cowboy is beautiful, endearing and hard to put down. Mandi Blake has truly become one of the best voices in contemporary Christian fiction, and I don't honestly think she could write a bad book if she tried. I'm so sad to come to the end of another one of her series, as it honestly feels like saying goodbye to close personal friends. However, I'm happy to say that she gives this series the ending it deserves, and that readers everywhere will love getting one last glimpse into each of the Harding Family and their spouses.
I honestly cannot wait for her to release her next books, and I loved the little sneak peak readers are treated to at the end of this one.
If you're a fan of contemporary Christian cowboy romances, Mandi's are truly some of the very best, and I highly recommend checking them out! I love that you can read each title in this series as a stand alone, but also love the fact that reading them in order gives you glimpses into the lives of characters introduced in the previous books.
Final Rating: 5/5.
Be sure and grab yourself a copy of this one! I can guarantee you're not going to want to miss it.
Thanks so much to Mandi Blake for allowing me to advance read and review this!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Mandi's books keep getting better and better! This is the last book of this series and I am sad to see it come to an end. I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of the characters featured in each book. This last one ended with Hunter and Felicity. They both had difficult pasts that have scarred them and made them who they are today. But, even though they had given up on ever finding someone to share their lives with, they still managed to find each other. It was a rough road for them, they had to learn to let other people in and help them, despite that ending badly in the past. Somehow, they made it through and got their happily ever after.
I think this series got better with each book. I love the whole series and am sad to see it come to an end. However, I know I can expect more amazing books from this author and I look forward to reading whatever she publishes.
Like with all the books that came before this one, it was a sweet and clean Christian romance. It was easy to read and I loved every part of it.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, and voluntarily left this honest review.
I’ve had mixed feelings on Hunter since book 1, but I love how Blake developed his character. And brought Felicity into his life to soften his edges. They’re adorable together and overcome so much!
And that epic finale epilogue where we get to revisit all six couples and see where they’re at?! My heart. ♥️
This was a fun series to binge via audio, and I’d highly recommend them if you love chivalrous cowboys, sweet & strong women, and beautiful faith themes!
Content: history of abusive parents; drug overdose; animal cruelty
I have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint! I read it in one day! Redeeming the Cowboy is the final book in Mandi Blake’s Blackwater Ranch series. This series was a wonderful series and I am so sad to see it come to an end, but I can’t wait to see what else Blake writes! Hunter was such a complex character and I couldn’t wait to read his story! You don’t really know a lot about him from her other books. He seems kind of like a loner and he prefers to stay away from the spotlight. However he also works hard and is kind. But the scars on his face make life difficult for him and makes him weary of others. Felicity was also so interesting, she basically raised her younger brother on her own and she is used to carrying for herself. But when she finds herself at Blackwater ranch after running because of the death of her cousin, she finds a family that she never expected. She also finds a man who seems to understand her like no one else. Will Felicity and Hunter be able to pick up the pieces of their life and start living, or will they destroy everything they have left? But anyway, I loved Hunter. He was such a sweetheart underneath his stormy exterior. He loved his family deeply and he just wanted them to be proud of him. He never felt like he truly belonged, so he was always trying to earn his keep. I liked reading about Hunter as he learned to appreciate the family he had in the Harding family and as he interacted with Felicity. It was sweet to see this stubborn man, falling in love. Will Hunter learn to let go of the past so that he can create a future? Felicity was a lot of fun, she was such a hard worker. The scenes with her and Hunter were super cute. I also adored the sibling relationship she had with Jameson. It was nice to read about Felicity bonding with the other Harding ladies and to read about such strong family relationships. Felicity had to learn to let others help her and that she couldn't do everything on her own. Hunter and Felicity balanced each other out, they both had rough upbringing so they understood each other. They could trust each other and be comfortable. They had to learn to overcome their past together as people came back into their life. I liked how they also found their family in the Hardings. The rest of the Harding family was a lovely addition to the book and I really liked how we got to see more of the parents. Redeeming the Cowboy was an awesome book! It was touching and heartwarming, but it was also very interesting! I didn’t want to put it down. I would totally recommend it! Redeeming the Cowboy is a clean christian book. I am eagerly waiting for Jameson’s book, Truth is a Whisper!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
A brilliant, heartwarming end to the beloved Blackwater Ranch series.
I dived into this book with mixed feelings knowing this was the end of the Harding family saga. I've been enraptured reading this series, meeting new characters and "re-visiting" with loved friends.
But when it comes to this book? Mandi Blake saved the best for last. I've followed Hunter with interest since his first introduction, and have been anticipating his story. Mandi didn't disappoint! Felicity was a perfect match in many ways, and I enjoyed watching their tentative friendship flourish into much more. Both Hunter and Felicity had endured serious abuse and neglect as children/youth, but even these things couldn't stop them from pushing forward in life.
I also loved the final "bowtie" at the end of the book, visiting with all the previous main characters. Such a beautiful "sign-off" for everyone.
LOVED THIS BOOK! And this series. 😍 Excited for Jameson's book in the new Wolf Creek Ranch series.
OH MY GOODNESS!! I just loved Hunter and Felicity's story. I have been rooting for Hunter through all the other books in the series knowing that he deserved all things good. Felicity was the perfect match for him. Since they both had a history of bad parents or no parents, and had such a strong sense of doing what is right and helping others, even anonymously, they deserved all the good things that could come their way.
I especially loved that Hunter and Felicity both saw the good in each other and brought out that good for each of them to see. It was such a beautiful story of redemption and unwavering love and acceptance.
I also loved that the author gave each of the women, their voice at the end, and then Hunter's as well to bring the series to a wonderful conclusion (well almost conclusion). Now, I can't wait to read Jameson's story.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I couldn’t wait to read Hunters story’s since meeting him when Noah and Camille were introduced in book 1. I’m not sure who made my heart ache more, Hunter or Felicity, both growing up under such terrible circumstances and never feeling like they belonged or were good enough. They are pretty close to wonderful and perfect for each other. It was going to take a strong woman to capture Hunters heart and Felicity deserved an equally strong man.
I devoured each word as part of me wanted the story to never end yet impatiently wanting to see where the story would take us. The epilogue is an EPIC finish to this wonderful family story. Yet it’s not really over (I hope) since Jameson is leaving the ranch for a job at the neighboring spread
The Blackwater Ranch series is definitely one I will read again and again.
Redeeming the Cowboy is the sixth book in the Blackwater Ranch series by Mandi Blake. Felicity is grieving over the death of her cousin. The lumberyard has dismissed her when she left work during her shift when notified. Felicity will soon be homeless too as she won’t be able to keep up the rent on the house. Jameson, her brother, comes to help her out with a job and a place to stay where he works at the Blackwater Ranch. The story continues with Felicity learning how to take over for a manager going on maternity leave. Hunter lives in the cabin next to Felicity. Jameson is offered a job as Foreman on the Wolf Creek Ranch. This will be a spin-off series. Looking forward to reading more from Mandi Blake.
What a great book! This is the third book in this series that I have read and I feel that they just keep getting better. This book is a stand alone with a HEA. What I love is seeing the other characters from the previous books again. You feel like you are at home with the Hardings on the ranch. When reading this book you feel like you are part of the family. Great descriptions and good storyline. There is suspense to keep you wanting to read to see what happens next. I love how Hunter and Felicity are there for each other and learn to trust and love. Reading these books makes me wish I could find a man like the Hardings. You will not regret reading this book! Love it!
Felicity and Hunter have had so many awful experiences in their lives with the way their parents and others treated them. In spite of that he goes out of his way to help others and right wrongs and she looked out for her brother and cousin even when her cousin didn't treat her right. I couldn't believe she provoked Cain and then he took her dog. That was foolish. I would have done anything to protect mine. Cain doesn't just stop there and decides to continue to make her pay. Hunter has been scorned and overlooked because of his scars. But underneath all the gruffness is a big heart. I've been hoping for a while that he would find someone to love. There are sweet and intense moments in this Christian romantic suspense.
Out of all the Blackwater Ranch series, this one has been my favorite. I loved how you portrayed two broken people, who were exactly what each other needed to be healed and made whole. I think the way you made their characters to never give up and not let anything stand in their way. I gave this five stars because the author deserves it. I highly recommend this book and the others in the series. Can’t wait to read the new series coming out, Wolf Creek Ranch.
Redeeming the Cowboy is an awesome, sweet romance. I love this series. Felicity and Hunter are now among my favorite characters. They fit so well in the loving atmosphere at Blackwater Ranch. Once I started reading I could not stop as Hunter and Felicity learn to overcome their fears. Watching them fall in love was simply amazing. I am so sorry to see the series end. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I will be binge reading them again!
Loved Hunter & Felicity's story! Hunter needs someone who can see past his rough exterior & his hard shell he uses to protect himself. Felicity wants someone who can love and protect her, someone she doesn't have to try to save from themselves. When they meet, it's sparks at first sight! Love the way it all comes together. What a great ending to this series!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was no required to leave a review, ad the opinion expressed is my own.
I have loved all of Mandi's books in the Blackwater Ranch series, but Hunter and Felicity's story is probably the best one and it is a fitting end to the series. I was waiting for Hunter's story as I learned more about him in the earlier books of the series, and Mandi did not disappoint. He was the strong, silent, loving hero, and the way he loved Felicity was heartwarming. This book definitely hits all the romantic feels.
So so good! I’m gonna go cry now thanks.!🥲👍🏼 I loved finally getting to see Hunter find his girl! Though he definitely went from “I like to be alone don’t bother me I’m scary” to “I’m intrigued by her and want to be with her and let her see things no ones else has” pretty fast, but I was ok with it! I ADORE it when authors do the epilogues of the end of a series with all of the characters it’s the perfect ending and I loved it.! 🥰
Felicity reminds me of myself a strong woman that sometimes has to run somewhere else to find herself. Hunter is just as broken as felicity and together they will become stronger. There love story was beautiful to behold and I was so sorry to see this series end as I started out with the sixth book so I will be going back to read the first five books.
Felicity and Hunter’s story is simply amazing. Their journey towards their HEA is filled with trials. Both have backgrounds to deal with and are immediately drawn to each other. I love the Blackwater Ranch series and am sad to see the end with all the boys now married. These are all well developed characters that have blended into one huge family. Mandi Blake wraps up the series with a simple catchup with everyone. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
I read an ARC via the author and I'm voluntarily choosing to review it.
Felicity gets fired and her brother (Jameson) suggests coming out to work on the ranch where he works. Upon her arrival she runs into Hunter who also stays on the ranch in a cabin next door to her. Hunter is kind of a loner and doesn’t like interfering in people’s lives so he tries to keep to himself. What happens when both Hunter and Felicity keep spending time with each other? Both characters have a past and are trying to move toward the future. I loved the love and support of their family and friends.
Loving someone on drugs usually leads to a lifetime of tears and heartache. Felicity Ford had plenty of that from her childhood plus caring for her cousin, Dawn. Blackwater Ranch offers her protection and a home. Hunter Harding was a plus added in. He didn’t realize that as he has learned to expect stares and suspicion. Mandi Blake is a master at presenting outcasts and healing their hearts. I loved this book.
I loved this story and I love Blackwater Ranch. Felicity and Hunter were so great to follow and their chemistry was sweet. I loved their journey and the strong people they were. This is the perfect clean romantic suspense with a perfect ending.
I adored this Cowboy romance. Their histories, the pain and then the beauty of them together. I just sailed through the book. It was lovely and amazing.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I really like Felicity and Hunter together. Both were dealing with troubled past yet together they bring out the good in each other and hope. I love the family dynamics in this series. I wish I could visit the ranch.
Good book and great characters. Felicity has just lost her best friend and her job, worst week ever! Her brother gets her a job on the ranch where he works. Hunter had a scar on his face but the scar in his heart was bigger. Can they help each other heal?
I received this book for free for my unbiased review
I found this to be another great book in the Blackwater Ranch series. I really liked returning to the ranch and I liked Felicity and Hunter and their story as it unfolded. They both had been through so much and I liked that Felicity was able to see the real Hunter and not what everyone else might see when they looked at him. I enjoyed that this book was full of romance, family, a little sadness, and a lot of suspense to make it a page turner that I could not put down. I am so glad the next book will be about Felicity's brother, Jamison who I enjoyed reading about in this book. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This was a wonderful ending to the Blackwater Ranch series. Felicity and Hunter made a great pair. Hunter is the one that feels like an outcast because of his thieving father. Felicity has lost her mother and her cousin as well as her job. Can these two overcome their pasts to find happiness together?
Beautiful ending to a favorite series . So sad to see blackwater ranch come to an end but you have to read this story . Mandi did a fantastic job with this story pulling out all the stops. Had me laughing , aww moments, tears .. all of it non stop to the end . Can't wait for what's next!
I absolutely love this book, Is the wonderful conclusion to the Black Water Ranch series, like the previous books the characters are well developed is a easy to reed book fast paced with lots of romance, some intrigue, some suspense and some action. This book is clean an excellent read.
It has been a while since I picked up a book filled with mystery, suspense and of course love. It was hard to close this book which is how a judge this extremely well written story.
Felicity and Hunter have both experienced brokenness. This is one of the things that draws them to each other. I have really enjoyed this series but these two are my favorite couple. When their pasts come back will it tear them apart or draw them together? Loved seeing characters from the previous books and really getting to know Hunter and Felicity. I just can't understand how people can hold Hunter accountable for his father's crimes or automatically believe he is like his father. Just doesn't make sense to me. Romance and some scary/tense moments. Loved loved the ending.
