Hockey, studying, and school runs. That’s my life now.

After a tragic accident that took our parents’ lives, it’s up to me and my big brother to take care of our five younger siblings.

In between burning their meals and keeping them from killing each other, I’m supposed to get a college degree. It’s hard when I don’t have time to breathe let alone study, and if I don

Best one yet!

This just ticked so many of my boxes it's ridiculous 😁

Secretly sweet and total cinnamon roll hiding behind a tough and aggressive persona because he's so badly suffering from grief ✅

Coach's son, smart and caring, a little bit of a devil on the inside, willing to take risks ✅

A romance which sneaks up and catches them both unexpectedly when they were both supposed to be in it only for the sex ✅

This one is an absolute delight without much in the way of relationship angsty and only a te

(2) two jocks from CU but different sports. I mean, they share the same building, right? Yay!

All the hearts for Asher and Kole!! I knew from the previous book going in I was going to love Asher. I have a soft spot for the moody bad boy. What I didn't know was how much I was going to love Kole as well. He wasn't like I expected. He was sassy and mouthy. He didn't take Asher's shit. Kole was unapologetically himself and I admired that about him. He also wasn't afraid to go after what he wanted and what he wanted was Asher.

" I'm beginning to suspect that Asher could be way too easy to

I screamed at the end of Goal Lines & First Times when it was confirmed that Asher was getting a book.

The second Seth got all shifty eyes at Asher thinking he was checking out Cohen I was like, "ASHER IS GETTING THE NEXT BOOK YAAAAAAAAS."

omg i think this is my fave CU so far 😭

i was so intrigued by asher when we first met him in CU3. he’s got a lot of demons, a heartbreaking backstory which explains why he is the way he is, but he soon wins you over with his colorful personality and hothotHOTness.

Well, they did it 💜💜💜

The books in this series keep getting better and this one right here, Asher and Kole, is my favorite! Everything about their journey was on point. There were no big misunderstandings or silly conflicts, just two opposites getting to know each other in the best way possible. Their chemistry was of the charts bonkers, the development of their friendship perfection. The banter was fabulous, funny and yet serious when it needed to be.

There was no shortage of swoony, heart meltin

This book was SO MUCH FUN! Eden Finley and Saxon James are experts at using sarcasm as foreplay and they didn't hold back in LM&SD. But this only meant that when those tiny, tender moments managed to slip by the goalie, it was game over for me. I was pretty much a melted, sticky-sweet puddle of goo in the shape of a heart--every time.

When I found out Asher was getting his own book, I was elated. Sometimes I wonder what my obsession with surly and belligerent book boyfriends says about me. Becau

I absolutely loved Asher and Kole’s story! I loved their banter, their developing friendship, their chemistry, the sexy times, and the laughs. Going into their story I thought Asher might be a touch sell for me. However I loved him right away and I could sense the mushy heart behind his antics! He’d faced some tough challenges the last couple of years and my heart went out to him. Of course I adored Kole immediately and loved how as a “nerd” he was so upfront about what he wanted. “Is heart - on a thing?”

Apparently, it is. The CU Hockey series is a huge “heart - on” and book 4 made it "painfully hearty".

Line Mates & Study Dates brings you another hot couple, Asher and Kole, and oh, boy what a story. They became my favorite couple, sorry Jacobs and Beck, from the get-go. I might say this after every single book but well, I’m only human after all.

We get a glimpse of Asher in book 3 and he is indeed an intriguing character. In this book, he is becoming the swooniest, hottest

4.5 stars rounding up (will explain why not the full 5 stars)

This made me laugh, like A LOT! But it made me cry as well!

Asher's story is a heartbreaking one. The front he puts out there to keep himself safe from more hurt is that of a porcupine! I'll hurt you to hurt me but I don't care because that pain is superficial and keeps the pressure lead on. Kole doesn't buy Asher's attitude, he challenges him straight on with sarcasm and Asher seeing that Kole doesn't take the bait he deflates quickly

Line Mates and Study Dates is the fourth book in the CU Hockey series by Eden Finley and Saxon James. It's easily enjoyed as a standalone.

Oh man, I love this series and this book is a great addition to the fun.

I love college romances. But I really love college sports romances. And this series is fabulous! Everything about it works for me.

First, it's a coach's son romance. I am giddy! And the authors play this out so damn well.

Second, Asher! I am thrilled to get Asher's story.

I have been looking forward to Asher’s story and was not disappointed.

What you see is not what you get with Asher. Circumstances lead Kole to being the Equipment Manager for the team. Kole, who dislikes hockey, no longer plays hockey but his Dad is the Hockey Coach, who is able to see the real Asher from the very start.

Asher comes across as an angry, closed off, fighting the world, self destructive jock when in reality he is really hurting and hasn’t come to terms with the

I really enjoyed this one! A lot. But both this and the third book of the series don't compare to the first two for me. Not sure why but I felt as though there was more telling than showing in this book when it came to how they were feeling etc. I'm just not a huge fan of when the character's inner monologue is along the lines of "I want to protect him. Shit, what am I thinking? I meant this is just sex." Etc. And it happens too often in this book for me to consider it a fave BUT I really really ...more

From the facets he lets people see to the ones he keeps hidden, he is an all-around treasure and getting to know the real him was a cherished experience. And what about Kole? In short, he’s amazing. Oh boy Asher and Kole were thisclose to being my favorite CU couple. I just loved them! Foster and Zach will always hold the top spot for me in the series, but Asher and Kole were just so great! When we met Asher in book 3 I just knew there was more to him than that arrogant, rude, and annoying guy. Asher is really a sweet, caring, and kind person but he just never let anybody see it--until Kole. I liked Kole immediately. Like the other books in the CU Hockey series, I was knew that I was in for satisfying read. Asher and Kole delivered. I was unsure about Asher’s book, not because of him as character, he’s (what’s not to love) a snarky and damaged. I was worried that his story would be bogged down by angst and excessive drama. I was happy to see that Asher and Kole’s story did not fall into that pitfall. To be clear, Asher isn’t superficial, he is like a hedgehog, under his coat he just wants to be loved and car ...more

I have wanted Asher's story since book 3, and WOW! It did not disappoint! I fell in love with him and Kole, and my heart just ached for everything Asher was going through. I absolutely love the CU boys and Asher and Kole are a perfect addition to the crew.
Asher is an asshole. There’s no other way to put it - he drinks, fights, has sex with the worst possible people and wants everyone to hate him.
However, when the coach’s son reluctantly takes the job as team equipment manager, he’s intrigued by the angry hockey player and can’t seem to stay away from him.
What follows is a multilayered story of loss, grief, study dates and a love th

I love how this is the 4th book in this series, dealing with similar types of issues: hockey, school, etc... and yet EVERY story, every couple feels fresh and new.

Line Mates & Study Dates is Asher and Kole's story. We met Asher in book 3, he's a tough little ball of angst, and prickly as all get out. Kole is the Coach's son and reluctant equipment manager.

I love hockey, LOVE. And this series a a whole does a great job of mixing the sport with the romance, it's all great for me.

A bad boy hockey player (Asher) that spells trouble with a big T and the son of his coach (Kole) that has sworn off dumb jocks. They shouldn't be a good match but when circumstances brings them in close proximity the quickly learn that the chemistry between them says otherwise.

I love how both Asher and Kole swears that there's no feelings and that everything is purely physical when they both love to spend time together. And they totally have a heart-on for each other early on.
