Super sexy and loaded with love.
For me there is no better story than one that includes a hot cop and this is a perfect example!

Beck created the perfect specimen in West! Not only is he sweet, compassionate, and caring, but he is one long drink of water that can cool the hottest flames. I need one of these in my life!

Roxy is a great female character as well. It is tough for me to say that as I am usually overly critical of female characters but she is not whiney, overl

We return to the Private Pleasures series with book four; Wet & Reckless giving us uptight cop West, and free-spirited Roxy’s story.

Aside from the cringe-worthy title, and questionable start (perving on an unconscious woman isn’t really a turn-on imo), West & Roxy’s story was what I’d call steady. Not a huge amount occurring in the first third over and above them circling around each other and the attraction between them, but thing

Opposites attract in Wet and Reckless . Samanthe Beck’s fourth Private Pleasures book is smokin’ hot and tons of fun with characters who are easy to like. West is a strong, serious, by-the-book cop and Roxy is a confident, sassy musician with tons of talent and a secret that could ruin everything. At first they’re like oil and water but the sexual attraction between them is impossible to ignore. I loved the banter, the tension, and the pull neither could resist.

A cute story about West and Roxy falling in love despite neither of them really wanting to. A sweet small town story.

It's been awhile since I've read this author and I'm not sure why I've waited so long. I can say 100% that this author really knows how to write sexy scenes. You could feel the heat with every encounter between Roxy and West. That alone makes this book worth the read, but there is so much more you get with this book. The setting is in a small town in Kentucky, so that brings you all sorts of side characters to fall in love with. You also get the previous couples from the other books in this seri ...more

Wet and Reckless by Samanthe Beck is a good read.

I enjoyed the storyline, it's well written, entertaining from start to end and watching West and Roxy's relationship unfold kept me turning the pages.

Overall, Wet and Reckless is a good read and a great addition to the Private Pleasures Series.

West just knows the hitchhiker saw on the side of the road is going to turn his life upside down in ways he moved to Bluelick to avoid. Roxy's pure trouble wrapped up on a gorgeous package. A musician, a waitress, and someone for whom he's falling, quickly. But when Roxy's past comes calling, will she stand firm and stay where she's come to love? Or will she do what she's always done, and run?

Samanthe Beck is a new-to-me author. Never one to shy away from giving a new author a try, I was intrigued enough by the cover and the blurb to take a chance on this book. I have mixed feelings about this one, though.

From the very first chapter, I had a hard time getting into the story. I wasn’t sure I cared for West much at all at the beginning or the directions of his thoughts regarding a very young woman in distress. Maybe it’s because I’m a girl mom and the world out there scares me for her

When Roxy ended up in a small town after the disastrous things she went through, West knew she was a trouble as soon as he saw her. But the instant attraction between them was hard to ignore. Roxy took a job as a waitress to support herself. And her new boss gave her a place to stay which made both Roxy and West neighbors and they shared a laundry room. One thing led to another and soon enough the

This is book four in the Private Pleasures series. I am new to the series and do not feel that this affected my enjoyment of Wet and Reckless.

I have to be honest, it took me a good while to warm up to West, and I really didn't feel good about his perusal of Roxy, an unconscious stranger. At that point I worried that I would not want to carried on, however, I did carry on and I am pleased that I did.

I liked Roxy and wanted nothing but goods things for her. Her unusual upbringing

I loved reading West and Roxy's story. I love the banter between these two. I could feel the tension coming off the page and the chemistry between West and Roxy was off the charts. I also loved their back story and I wanted them to find their HEA. Love the town of Bluelick and want more!

Wet and Reckless is a quick, fun story to read with lots of sass and steam. We have shenanigans and a secret in a small town romance! A cop, West, and aspiring singer Roxy, running from trouble, meet as she is hitchhiking during a rainstorm. We have a romance or a country song in the making. I loved the dialog and the romance. I hope to get back to Bluelick, KY, soon.

Visit (or revisit) Bluelick, Kentucky and the wonderful world created by Samanthe Beck with the fourth book in the Private Pleasures series (don’t fret if you haven’t read the others – they stand alone - but, trust me, you will want to go back after reading this one).

This was a super fun and steamy opposites attract romance! Fourth in a series, but it stands alone perfectly!

Former Navy SEAL, and current cop in the small town of Bluelick, Kentucky, West Donovan sees things in black and white. There's not much room for gray, or extenuating circumstances, in his world. He's a rule follower and expects others to follow suit. So, when wild, hitchhiking Roxy blows into town, he doesn't really know what to make of her, or how she makes him feel. He's hoping she pas

Samanthe Beck sizzles up the pages with her latest contemporary romance set in sleepy Bluelick, Kentucky: Wet and Reckless.

Roxy Goodhart is an aspiring singer and songwriter who has had a run of bad luck lately. Having ventured to Bluelick, Kentucky, Roxy hopes to lay low and not draw much attention to herself while she rebuilds her severely depleted LA or bust fund. It’s been a while since we last visited, but things are just as hot & steamy as ever in Samanthe Beck’s little town of Bluelick, KY. And the weather is pretty warm too. Wooooah... Roxy and West make one deliciously hot couple.

Like the townspeople, I immediately felt protective of Roxanne “Roxy” Goodhart. Despite her unconventional, somewhat nomadic upbringing and the misfortunes she’s suffered, she’s remained positive and sweet. Goodhart is the perfect name, because Roxy has a genuinely good hea

This is book 4 in the Private Pleasures series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. With that being said, yes I read this one before the other-but then I went back and read those as well because I liked this one so much. When he comes across a hitch hiker in the rain, he knows that it's going to throw his calm and orderly life into chaos. Roxy Goodhart is an aspiring singer/songwriter wh ...more

I actually DNF'd this book because the first 5% of the book was honestly very uncomfortable.

I honestly forgot that the hero was a cop and he used the term 'po-po' which was honestly just weird. My bigger issue with him is that the entire time the heroine is unconscious (

When police officer West Donovan takes one look at hitchhiker Roxy Goodhart, he instantly realizes that she is the exact kind of trouble he doesn't need in his town... or his heart.

The last thing Roxy needs is a by-the-book (and way too sexy), police officer looking too closely into her past mistakes. But soon the small town of Bluelick, KY starts to feel like home... and West her future... and Roxy just knows it all seems too good to be true...

What a hot and delicious story about a small town cop and a singer-songwriter on the run from a dishonest ex-manager. It has chemistry in spades between these two characters. Add a mix of small town interesting characters with hearts of gold and you have a great story from Samanthe Beck's very capable pen. I loved every minute of it and can't wait for her next story!

As a first time reader of Samanthe Beck, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book not having read any of the others in the series.

Roxy and West’s love story in Wet and Reckless by Samanthe Beck, book four in her Private Pleasures series, was an emotional, enjoyable and heartwarming tale. Welcome back to Bluelick, KY. I love this series by Samanthe Beck. She has this knack to blending the snarky banter with the steamy scenes that I can't get enough of. Roxy and West do not have the best meeting because of the nature of it, but each and every scene after that is a well written realistic emotional moment that you don't want to stop. Roxy has been through a lot the last three years, and when she opens up you want to cry because of this strength that she has shown. She has no one lef ...more

Reckless got off to a bit of a cringey and slow start. The pace didn't really pick up until almost halfway through but once that ball started rolling it was game on.

I really liked Roxy. Even from the first time I met her, when she was down on her luck and on the run, there was this undeniable spark she had. Yes, she had made some questionable choices, but she owned them and was doing her best to make up for the past mistakes. If only her new neighbor and town cop would cut her some slack.

There is just so much to love about this book.

I definitely felt that the book focused more on West than Roxy, though she was most definitely a huge part of the story and had a really well structured and described backstory (more so than West in terms of background actually..) and the storyline itself focused on her more...but the romance and emotional journey was much more in his favour.....which I loved.

The story itself is exciting and plentiful, with a lot of additional characters you learn

My favorite of the series so far! It was incredibly hot–and the tension, the desire! There also was a lot of heart. I seriously enjoyed how the relationship between Roxy and West built, how they first denied their attraction then became sort of friends before surrendering. And then… volcano hot!

Both characters were well written. Their backstory was interesting, and it explained their present struggles. Maybe West’s was a bit shallower, but he was still quite fleshed out. I loved seeing them slow
