The marriage of convenience trope is one I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with but in this case it hit the spot and Just a Little Married was not only an enjoyable, very sexy romance featuring two fantastic characters but also a great introduction to Reese Ryan’s writing.

description I need a husband for one year.”

Travis and Riley were just my cuppa, their past brought feeling and their present a reconnection that was steamy, real and honest and I loved how supportive they were of one another despite their history, hurt and regret. Reese Ryan wraps up the Moonlight Ridge miniseries with a romance that not only gives the last Holloway brother standing his HEA but ties-up the ongoing family story nicely and whilst I’ve still to read the first book, it’s been an enjoyable ride.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Third and the final book in the Moonlight Ridge series about three adopted brothers, Just a Little Married, brings back together Travis Holloway and Riley George. Riley was the rich girl who cruelly broke things off with Travis when they were teenagers, this lead to fights and heated tempers and the car accident all three brothers were in. The car accident and how the three brothers drifted apart because of it and are now forced to come together because of their adopted father's health issues, is threaded through all three books and I would suggest reading the first two in the series first so that you have an understanding of the family dynamics. Travis was the most injured from the accident, damaging his leg enough that he lost his college football scholarship and dreams of the NFL. Even though he is now a famous chef, he still carries some anger from that night and why when he first sees Riley again, he wants to keep his heart closed to her.

“What do you want, Riley?”
She lifted her chin and met his gaze. “A husband.”

Readers have heard about Riley but this is the first time we meet her. We learn that she can't get her inheritance from her grandfather unless she is married and to a man of his own independent means. She wants the money to help out with two of her foundations and when she sees Travis in town and learns about his family's resort needing some help, goes to him with the plan of a fake marriage for one year. It's a second chance romance with marriage of convenience trope that brings some heat.

Riley sighed, her heart still racing from the kiss that had set her entire body on fire and left her wanting much more from the man she'd asked to be her fake husband.

While this was mainly set at the Moonlight Ridge, it felt the least connected to the series. The two other brothers and their wives pop in and out, along with their father Jameson who adopted all three of the boys when they were younger but for the vast majority of the time, the focus is on Riley and Travis. The first half had Travis pretty much not giving any leeway to Riley as he is still angry and hurt over how she told him he wasn't good enough for her when they were teenagers. It had a frosty feel with dormant volcano brewing underneath and at around the halfway point, Travis learns something about the night Riley broke-up with him and he starts to melt towards her. From the start Riley still has feelings for Travis but tries to hide them because of the hurt she knows she caused him.

He cupped her cheek and offered a pained smile. “I'm sorry I believed the worst of you.”

There was a little too much going on here for me, Travis' restaurant business, his documentary show, trying to save Moonlight Ridge and find the embezzler (continuing storyline from previous books), the fake marriage, Riley's fundraiser gala, and all the family dynamic issues. I wanted some it to be cut in favor of just having Riley and Travis together and working out their issues. There were too many time jumps, we don't get much of the Great Gatsby Gala (the cover picture is of the night) and we don't get to “see” any scenes from their honeymoon. At around the 75% mark, Travis' mother comes into the picture and a big bomb is dropped, way too late in the story for the resolution to not feel rushed.

I enjoyed Riley and Travis' characters separately and together, the scene where Travis tells Riley's father to essentially f-off was a particular favorite and Riley putting herself out there for Travis had me cheering her on. There was a little too much going and weeks passed by/not shown when I simply wanted to see Riley and Travis together. The ending had a somewhat rushed and cobbled feel to it with bringing together the embezzlement story thread (book 2 made the villain obvious thankfully because there was pretty much no explanation of motivations here) and the fallout of the Travis mother bomb drop. However, I did enjoy seeing the last Holloway brother get his happily ever after and the steam between Riley and Travis.

Thank you to the author Reese Ryan for my finished copy of this book.

I LOVE me a second chance romance novel especially when the main characters dated when they were younger. It’s my favorite trope. Period. There was a lot of tension between Travis and Riley, due to past events, but I didn’t feel the chemistry during their reconnection. Instead of seeing the second chance romance connection happening between Travis & Riley I was told what happened instead and that didn’t work for me. I didn’t like how when one chapter would end the next chapter was already a few weeks later down the road. Even though this isn’t my favorite read by the author I did love the sense of family and community in this story.

This is one of those books where reading the first 2 would've probably helped despite Travis and Riley spending much of the book with each other.

Travis is a celebrity chef who is back in Ashville part time helping his two brothers rebuilding the family resort. Riley is his childhood sweetheart who he harbors some resentment towards because she broke his heart. The wealthy heiress is planning her family's charity gala and plotting a way to earn her inheirtance without adhering to the strict stipulations her grandfather set in place. When her lawyers can't find a loophold she goes to Travis with a proposition. Riley will give him the money he needs to rebuild the restaurant if he agrees to marry her for a year.

There were parts I really enjoyed like some of the drama but there was so much going on. I felt the marriage part came way too late in the book because they were busy reconnecting over the gala. So by the time they got married they were already back in love so it wasn't the awkward situation it was initially painted as.

Some chapters would end and then the next chapter would jump to some time later which I wasn't really a fan of. We only got to see the tail end of the gala after hearing so much about the planning. The wedding was rushed along and I would've loved to see the honeymoon in the Maldives.

There was some drama at the end of the book that I would've liked to see start a little earlier so it didn't feel as rushed for a resolution. It would've made the family scenes have a little more oomph to them. This wasn't my favorite Reese Ryan novel but I'm looking forward to her next one.

4.5 Stars!

Well Reece Ryan stepped straight onto my Auto-buy list with this little gem. Just A Little Married ties up the multi-author Moonlight Ridge trilogy in mighty fine style.

Travis Holloway has been a little elusive in the previous two books, although we get to know about him through his two brothers as their stories play out, I was interested to see who this guy was because of that and the author did not disappoint.

This book was sexy, snarky, emotional and just a damn pleasure to read. I loved Riley as well she was the perfect woman to pair him up with, and who doesn't love a second-chance/marriage-for-convenience mash up.

You don't need to read the previous book in the series to enjoy this one, but I recommend you do because a couple of secondary story arcs are wrapped un in it as well.

Just a little married but totally sweet and sexy!

In this second chance romance with her childhood friend and first love, Riley George is back in Asheville for a charity gala that the family foundation she runs is catering. And she's got a pretty personal business proposition for Travis Holloway, a man she haven't seen in years. Because marriage of convenience is how heiresses gain their inheritance and find a husband, right?

From foster kid to being adopted with two other boys by a rich man, Travis got lucky, except for a serious accident that made him estranged for them. Now a famous Chef, he came back after his father's health scare and plan on helping his brothers save Moonlight Ridge, the family luxury resort. Can he do that while being married to a woman he have to work with but want to keep his distance from?

No bitterness between Riley and Travis. Only a certain wariness at first and a respect, affection and attraction and that's what made their chemistry and romance so great.

Riley and Travis were the perfect second-chance couple, and the perfect ending to this series. The romance, the sexy times, the secrets revealed (one I guessed, but wow on others), and just the family! A great book, and a great series!

Reese Ryan is one of my favorite authors. She creates characters that feel like family. It isn't just the awesome chemistry between Travis and Riley, but it's their history and their relationship with the other characters that make this story feel so real. Ryan gives us a world to live in and people to care about that we can almost reach out and touch. Readers are plopped down in the middle of her stories and are allowed to experience the emotions and relationships along with her characters.
Travis Holloway is a strong, handsome, successful man with a few broken pieces. He's worked hard to get where he is and hide the parts that haven't quiet knitted back together.
Riley George is a beautiful, successful, wealthy woman with a big heart but something is still missing. She gave her heart to Travis years ago but things ripped them apart and neither have ever truly recovered from the loss.
When they find themselves just a little married, they start healing and repairing those broken pieces. In true romance fashion, Travis and Riley are made whole by their love but they must take the chance to trust love again.
Ryan shows readers what life can be like with the right person. How true love can bring out the best of us. In this story, not only are Travis and Riley changed by love but their love affects those around them.
This was one of the best romance books I've read in a long time. Truly beautiful. I didn't want it to end.

What a fantastic conclusion to the Moonlight Ridge trilogy. All three romances were wonderful, this is definitely a trilogy you want to read in order if possible.

Reese Ryan does a wonderful job with the fake marriage trope. She masterfully captures the motivations behind Why the fake marriage needs to happen in the first place and all the crazy emotions that arise when characters realize there really isn’t anything fake about how they’re feeling.

I loved Travis and Riley. Loved Travis and his brothers. Loved Jameson and Giada. So good!

A Second Chance ? . . .

Riley George needs to marry immediately if she wishes to claim her inheritance. She targets the familiar Travis Holloway, celebrity chef catering her gala and her ex-lover she walked away from in the past. Travis needs the money Riley is offering for a year spent in this marriage of convenience. Keeping it strictly business will allow him to save his family’s luxury resort. But old feelings are difficult to control. Will he accept the offer? Will his heart survive?

There is plenty of tension between Travis and Riley as they deal with their pasts along with their current situation. Is this a bad idea? Or could it be the best thing that ever happened to them?

The conclusion of the Midnight Ridge Series with all the feels.

I loved Travis Holloway, right from the start. The celebrity chef, the adopted son of the Midnight Ridge resort owner, the brother to two other sons adopted by Jameson Holloway when they were young boys. Travis, while put together on the outside and handling all of his businesses (celebrity chef, business owner) just seemed the most tortured of the three sons, the one holding the most inside from his past.

Enter Riley Anne George, only daughter of super rich and snobby parents. Riley comes across as a sweet and gentle spirit but she’s also tough and resourceful; or else her parents wouldn’t allow her to run the George Foundation without interference.

Riley and Travis have history that dates back to their childhood where Travis grew up at the Moonlight Ridge resort and Riley’s parents summer vacationed every year, until the year Riley broke Travis’ heart and shattered his football career goals.

Now Riley needs Travis to save the Foundations annual fundraiser and to help her access her trust fund money.

The second chance trope and enemies to lovers trope are both present and I loved the heat, animosity, and tension between Travis and Riley. As a reader, I felt engaged in the storyline, as if I was right there in NC at the resort with the Holloway’s and the George’s.

I loved that this final story in the series wrapped up quite a few relationships, including the father, Jameson Holloway and his nurse Giana as a couple. And Travis’s brother, Grey provides the comedic relief needed while his other brother, Mack provides the sarcasm and sensibility for this storyline.

Marriage of Convenience Meets Second Chance Romance!

Travis and Riley’s young love was torn apart when they were teens. Now she needs his help to gain her inheritance so she can keep doing the work of her heart and he could use her investment to finish renovating his family’s inn and build his dream restaurant on the property. But can they have a business only marriage or will they both catch feelings?

I loved how honest both Travis and Riley were about their past traumas and their current wants and needs. I also loved that they were willing to talk and listen to one another. And the chemistry and sexy times was amazing!

And we finally find out who’s been threatening the Moonlight Ridge and they get their punishment!

*I WAS GIFTED AN E-ARC OF THE BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*

This was my first ever e-arc and I loved it. This book follows Travis and Riley in a marriage of convenience to invest money in Moonlight Ridge.

This book was everything I was looking for. I hadn’t had a good week and was craving a romance from Mills and Boon/Harlequin and this book delivered. The characters were well fleshed out and the plot was evenly paced. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Thank you again for gifting me this E-ARC it was a nice surprise after a not great week

The Moonlight Ridge Trilogy is a Harlequin Desire collaboration featuring 3 individuals stories written by Joss Wood, Karen Booth, and Reese Ryan. These ladies do a great job of seamlessly connecting each storyline, pulling the reader in, and engaging them with the scenic visuals and well-developed characters.

When we see a Harlequin title, we expect to have a romance with some conflict and HEA, and before you get up in arms, I assure you that it is in each of the titles. After reading this trilogy, the romance took a back seat to the Holloways unique family dynamic (Mack, Grey, and Travis* are all adoptive brothers)

There are so many things that can make up a family unit, and more often than not, it isn't DNA. Jamison Holloway is the patriarch of this clan. A man with a big heart and a desire to have a family to extend its legacy. Most family generations are left to deal with past deception, secrets, neglect, abuse, trauma, and distrust. The Holloways were torn apart by a tragedy that took place over a decade ago. Will it be a tragedy that makes them whole again? It was something about Moonlight Ridge that brought about healing.

Each story has elements of family and second chance romances that were heartfelt and heartwarming at the same time.
Just a Little Married brings this series its conclusion, and a few revelations that will have you on the edge of your seat. If you started with the first book in this series, you know that a tragedy pulled this family apart, with a series of events and things/people responsible and it was Travis left most affected by this.

This is the journey of Travis Holloway, celebrity chef, and Riley George, Philanthropist and it invites us to entertain a marriage of convenience. High-powered celebrity figures do it all the time, what could go wrong, right?

Riley's father kept his finger on the pulse whenever it had anything to do with his daughter, including who she dated. She is in a race against the clock to claim her inheritance and have her independence. There is just one thing she needs...Husband! She is desperate and is willing to pay any price tag, or is she? It is a scheduling conflict with the chef to cater her upcoming gala and him bringing in her ex as the replacement muddies the waters. Now, she is forced to face the past and with no other options.

Travis Holloway is back in town to manage the upkeep and running the resort until their father is back on his feet. He is aware of the issues with the family business and is ready to jump in to work through them. His mentor reaches out for him to fill in to cater the gala for Riley. Once he realizes who he would be working with, he is not happy about being blindsided. They come to terms with a mutually beneficial agreement, but will it remain a business-only agreement? Just a little married is more than a marriage of convenience, just when you think all is well, Reese Ryan throws in unexpected twists and some messy drama that could have everything come crumbling down. I encourage you to grab a copy you will enjoy Travis and Riley's journey and you will not want to miss the epic reveals in this last installment.

Each book can be read separately, but I recommend reading all of them and in order to get to a full visual of the trilogy. You will enjoy each couple's journey and thank me later.

Riley, 32, returns to Moonlight Ridge to ask Travis, 33, for a favor. To get her inheritance, she has to marry, and who better than her former boyfriend?

In book 3, we get all the missing info from the night of the accident, discovering the embezzler, and a secret finally revealed.

I liked that all three brothers and all three heroines come together. There's Molly & Mack's wedding as well as James and Giada finally not hiding their relationship.

The reason for the fake relationship is familiar yet seems plausible. I like that they have a second chance. There are some steamy scenes.

A good ending to the Moonlight Ridge series.

Note: I bought the paperback and the other two books in the series from an indie bookstore.

I received this ARC for a honest review. This book was really good...Reese has done it again. What a great conclusion to the Moonlight Ridge Series. This book made me go back and purchase the first and second books in this series. I'm a fan of second chance romances, and Riley and Travis had that as well as a fake marriage. Travis didn't want to go back home but family obligations made him return. There was too much hurt there he didn't want to remember. He wasn't happy about being with his brothers again after 10 years, but he owed it to his father. He didn't want to get involved with Riley, the one person who hurt him many years ago. Riley needed a husband to get her inheritance and who better than her long ago boyfriend Travis. This book revealed answers to many questions asked in the first two books in the series. Reese Ryan really brought it all together. I highly recommend this book.

Just a Little Married is Reese Ryan’s contribution to Harlequin Desire’s Moonlight Ridge series. Riley George is the head of her family’s foundation and is in the process of organizing her annual fundraiser when the chef she’s chosen pulls out. On top of that, to gain access to her trust fund she must marry and soon!

Travis Holloway, son of resort owner Jameson, has temporarily returned home to assist both with his father’s return to good health and help out with the resort. A chef by nature, he wants to help return the resort to its former self along with open a signature restaurant on the property.

Both of these characters have a history that dates back to their teenage years. After a break-up and accident that altered Travis’s life, they are immediately drawn together. Riley will do anything to gain access to her trust fund. Will they enter into a marriage of convenience? Will Travis help restore the resort to its former glory?

Just a Little Married is a book I highly recommend. I absolutely loved this book and s I received an advance copy which I chose to read and review. This is my honest opinion.

This third and final book in the Moonlight Ridge trilogy is the whole reason I started reading it! I love Reese Ryan’s books, and I’m the sort of completionist who can’t just jump in with the third book, but I’ve definitely enjoyed discovering new authors. And this is the perfect finale for me with a mix of the second chance and fake relationship tropes!

“Unlike his lovestruck brothers, Travis would happily stick to his “bachelor life,” get Moonlight Ridge’s kitchen and catering services in shape, find the elusive embezzler then get back to his busy life in Atlanta and LA.”

Travis has mixed feelings about being back in Moonlight Ridge to help out with the resort after his father’s illness. While he’s happy to mend fences with his brothers, he’s got a busy career as a celebrity chef and training up the resort’s, well, not so good chef seems like a nonstarter, not to mention figuring out who’s been embezzling money from them. But if they want to get the resort back on its feet, they need better food and more bookings soon – if only the perfect chance to help didn’t involve his ex.

Riley comes from money, but unlike her brothers, she can only access her full trust fund if she’s married to a “man of independent means.” She’s convinced that particular condition was added after her parents watched her get involved with Travis when they were teens. Now the head of her family’s charitable foundation, when the chef she’s hired to cater the latest gala has to bow out, he suggests Travis – after all, the reason they both know the chef is that he used to work at Moonlight Ridge. Hiring a celebrity chef will surely sell more tickets for the foundation, and Travis’s condition to move it to Moonlight Ridge will mean more business for the family resort. But their attraction – and all the baggage from the accident that cost Travis his football career years ago – is still there, and maybe Travis can help her out with more than just a gala…

“I’m fake-married to my childhood sweetheart.” Riley raised her head and laughed. “I’m pretty sure it can’t get any weirder than this.”

The first thing you have to know about Riley is that she’s a workaholic, partially because she’s so committed to her causes. Even accessing her trust isn’t for herself – it’s to help out two organizations she supports that are having money troubles. She’s too used to being dated for her money (and family connections) so Travis would be perfect for her marriage of convenience idea. There are so many things that need to be updated at the resort to make it competitive and not enough money to do it, so if he’ll marry her for a year so she can get access to her trust, she’ll bankroll the renovations for him to open a lakeside cafe at Moonlight Ridge. And yeah, maybe Riley does still have a thing for Travis, but she’s also carrying a lot of guilt for setting off the chain of events that ended in the brothers’ car accident.

Travis, for his part, is mostly over it – or at least that’s what he says. While he was angry at first with his brothers, after a lot of time and therapy, he’s come to accept that it was an accident with no one at fault, though that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven the cruel note from Riley that night. He’s not particularly inclined to give her a second chance, even if he still feels pulled toward her. Ever since his mother abandoned him as a child, he’s had issues trusting people and that’s extended to his romantic relationships. Travis doesn’t believe in true love, only that the best anyone could hope for in a relationship is a mutually beneficial alliance. So it’s not terribly surprising that he does eventually agree to Riley’s proposal. But it’s only due to Riley’s dad’s complete jerkishness that he finds out the real reason she broke up with him so many years ago, and he finally allows himself to accept that he still has feelings for her. Even then, they think they can just have a fake-marriage-with-benefits, except that while many other things have changed, the characteristics that drew them together are still there. But an unexpected visit throws a wrench in their burgeoning happiness, and Travis’s knee-jerk reaction is to believe the worst of everyone involved. Has he grown enough to rely on his family and Riley instead of shutting everyone out again?

“Watching you fall apart is the hottest thing I have ever seen.” There was a hint of reverence in his husky voice.
“I’ll bet you say that to all the pretty girls you’ve been fake-engaged to.”

As the last book, this wraps up several of the plot lines quite well, including the thieving employee and the relationship between Jameson and Giada. It also leaves the brothers and Jameson, as well as Moonlight Ridge in general, not completely healed but on a better path. But the star of the book is the relationship between Riley and Travis. It’s both sweet and very steamy, and the reasons for their breakup – and the bleak moment – are very understandable. Modern marriage of convenience novels are always a bit hard for me to swallow, but I found this one at least mostly reasonable and I appreciated Riley and Travis’s honesty and, well, snark, when it came to discussing it.

Overall, this has been a very enjoyable series, and I definitely hope these authors team up again!

Riley George, the heroine of the story, is between a proverbial rock and a hard place, and it’s all her grandfather’s fault. She needs a husband like yesterday. For this third book of the Moonlight Trilogy series, Reese Ryan, storyteller extraordinaire, presents an engaging version of the fake marriage trope. Riley’s husband of choice is Travis Holloway, celebrity chef, who returns to Moonlight Ridge, the family’s resort in Asheville, North Carolina, to help restore it to it’s previous fame and popularity. Plus, an added infusion of cash will help make the restoration a reality rather than a possibility. That’s where Riley comes in, because she offers to provide the money as an investor, if Travis will join her in providing a ring along with a marriage license that she so desperately needs. Strictly business, right?
The thoroughly worked-out storyline also reveals another favorite trope, Second Chance Love. Riley and Travis were involved in a teen romance that fell apart when Riley’s parents intervened. Not only was the break up messy, but there was an horrific accident that caused each brother to blame himself. Riley also shared in the guilt trip of that tragic night. Now, some fifteen years later when they meet again, Riley is not one of Travis’ favorite people.
The side characters do their part well as they lend support to the main characters and add to the story’s intrigue. Speaking of intrigue, Travis’ life becomes a little more complicated when another woman from his past shows up. It’s a “Wow” moment. Along with that stand-out moment, is the stakeout that the three Holloway brothers engage in. No spoilers. That scene was unexpected but excellent in resolving a mystery. Loved the HEA!
I read JUST A LITTLE MARRIED as a stand-alone, although it is part of a trilogy. I enjoyed the story, but Reese Ryan never disappoints. I recommend JUST A LITTLE MARRIED for your reading pleasure.

Meddlesome snooty parents can ruin their children's lives!
Travis and Riley were teenaged lovers. Riley's dad upset about the background of Travis forced Riley to end their relationship. As a result of being upset by the events of that fateful night, a debilitating accident occurred that ended Travis' athletic career! Thankfully, he had a fall back career that made him just as if not more successful than what he envisioned his life being. Now these star-crossed lovers are back in each other's lives and need each other to facilitate a major charitable event for Riley and a future career addition for Travis. As you would suspect Riley's dad is trying to still throw his weight around yet without the same results as when they were teens. There is some information that is life changing for Travis that he does not allow himself to find out until almost the end of the novel. After recriminations towards the people he truly loves, he settles down, accepts his role in all of the angst that plagued his life and is now able to move forward with his life. Another thing that happens when there is a successful business involved, someone inadvertently gets it into their heads that they can steal from their employer to supplement their income or just out of greed. In this instance, the culprit was caught and prosecuted. There is so much going on in this story and the thing that impressed me the most is that regardless of what was thrown at this couple and his family's business, Travis' family worked together to overcome all of the obstacles that came their way. They also embraced Riley who was snubbed by her parents for loving Travis! That went double for Travis and Riley who I am glad finally got their happily ever after! Just A Little Married is an excellent addition to the Moonlight Ridge Series Reese, thank you for such a great reading experience!

This is the third book in the MOONLIGHT RIDGE trilogy, published by Harlequin Desire. I've read the first two in this series, as well. This book brings us the romance between Travis Holloway (executive chef, tv star) and his childhood friend, Riley George (investment heiress). What starts as a marriage of convenience between these two, quickly becomes anything but.
TROPES: second chance romance, fake engagement, marriage of convenience, forced proximity

In this book you will find...
*mouth-watering food descriptions (cranberry creme brûlée!)
*a woman who must marry a 'man of means' in order to access her trust fund
*three adopted brothers who are learning how to be a family again.
*romance Heroes calling out sexism on the page 🙌🏼
*the beautiful reveal of why Travis' restaurants are named TRAVERSER
*a mother who is so cold and casually cruel, that she’s given the name GINA GEORGE (aka Regina George in Mean Girls) by Reese—I cackled
*normalized therapy, especially for men
*our Hero in grey sweatpants (if you know, you know)
*a romantic proposal

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I loved seeing all the brothers get their HEA's and spending time at their gorgeous resort. My one quibble is that the reveal of Travis' birth parents felt like it came outta left field. But, I do understand that surprises are needed, too.

As for the trilogy, this is by far my favourite Harlequin trilogy written by different authors. I've had trouble in the past with continuing series written by different people. Tbh, I don’t read any Cattlemen's Club series any more for that very reason. Here the three authors were given decision making power over this series and in my opinion, it made for a better end product. More like this, please!

Notes: I'm friendly with the author on multiple social media accounts. I received this ARC in return for a fair review.

Justice For Riley

This is a second chance romance but really it is the first chance because Riley and Travis were so young the first time around. I Initially I was all for Travis and his trust issues because he had been through a lot of traumatic experiences, but as the story progressed he started to get on my nerves because accountability was missing. Riley caught a lot of the heat from Travis for things that were out of her control. I enjoyed the book most when Travis let his guard down and allowed his connection to Riley to bloom naturally, because HE LOVES THAT WOMAN. There was some very romantic and thoughtful moments that made me root for their marriage of convenience to be a real marriage because they deserve to be happy and love after all both of their families have put them through

The choices that choices that Travis’ family made and his upbringing is not his fault but how he heals from it as an adult is on him. I did enjoy the voices of reason some of his family provided.

Riley’ family was no walk in the park either, disrespect and manipulation from the very beginning. I think that Riley took L’s because you can choose who you’re related to and she chose to love them despite the hurt they’ve caused her.

Overall I enjoyed this book especially because I love marriage of convenience , it just frustrated me at times and both of their families got off too easy.

Just a Little Married was the last book I read in September and it was EVERYTHING! Now, I do love Reese Ryan. It's just something about the way she tells a story, makes the story entertaining, and just keeps my attention.

What I loved:
First and foremost, the persistence of Riley George is unmatched. Riley worked every angle possible to get Travis to agree to marry her. But at the same time it didn't feel manipulative. Unlike her parents, Riley was a genuine spirit, and exactly what Travis needed to work on his distrust of people in general, and to help him work through his personal traumas.

I honestly felt bad for Travis. To be abandoned as a child by your parent(s), and to again experience abandonment by your first love, it was tough. I completely understood why he was the way that he was. Eventually he gave Riley a chance and found out the true reason behind her leaving him, but...whew... it was looking real rough for a minute.

And the plot twist was mind-blowing, but I was still happy about the outcome - Not happy that Riley did exactly what Travis asked, then got chewed out for doing exactly what he asked.

One of my favorite lines by Riley:
"... I may have a lot of talents but being a mind reader isn’t one of them. You need to say what you mean and mean what you say."

Loved this!

What a great ending to this wonderful trilogy! This book sucked me right in like the previous two. The last of the brothers comes home to take his time to help with Moonlight Ridge and their dad Jameson. Travis is a celebrity top notch chef that is going to overhaul the inns menu and bring it up to date. Riley was Travis' first love that left him when the going got tough. He has never forgiven her. When she is at a meeting with his chef friend Henri he is incensed! Henri asks him to take over the charity even that Riley is hosting for her charity. He is very resistent. But they work through it and she agrees..She than comes to him with a beneficial proposal for both of them. But he doesn't want anything to do with it.

We find out a juicy nugget about Jameson in this book too..I did NOT see that coming.I was thrown by that..But it was a nice surprise.

The thief is finally found out too..I had that one figured out.

Can Riley and Travis overcome lies, pain, hurt to become a couple that loves with everything in them?

I hated to see this series end as I really enjoyed it.

Just a Little Married is the third and final book in the Moonlight Ridge series. The series is about three adopted brothers returning to Asheville, North Carolina, and their childhood home and resort of Moonlight Ridge after their father has a health crisis. The brothers each agree to spend a few months at the resort, looking after their father and restoring the resort which has seen better days. In a previous book, it was discovered someone was stealing from the resort, but the who and how still remains a question.

Travis Holloway and his two older brothers Mack and Grey used to be closer than close. But that all changed fifteen years ago on a stormy night which resulted in a horrific car crash. The accident robbed Travis of his football scholarship and his dreams of playing in the NFL. It also left him in pain and agony for two years, trying to regain his ability to walk. Travis suffered both emotionally and physically. While his brothers escaped the accident with minor cuts and bruises, they were scarred emotionally as well. Their guilt drove them all to leave North Carolina, branch out on their own, and become successful in their chosen careers. In doing so, the brothers stopped communicating with each other and rarely returned to Moonlight Ridge. His brothers have returned, came to terms with the past, and found their true loves. Now, it’s Travis’s turn to return and work on updating Moonlight Ridge’s kitchen and restaurant menu.

Travis, a successful restauranteur, competitive cooking show host, and cookbook author, gets strongarmed by his former mentor to help Riley George, his former girlfriend, the girl who broke his heart and ripped his family apart all those years ago. As if it wasn’t hard enough to be around Riley, she proposes a marriage of convenience so she can gain full access to her trust fund to help out one of her favorite charities. In exchange for giving up a year of his life, Riley will infuse some much-needed cash into Moonlight Ridge.

I loved these characters. Travis has tried hard to pretend that he didn’t need or miss his brothers, but he totally did. I loved watching them reconnect and the brotherly love they have for each other showed. Riley is independent and caring. She's nothing at all like her parents. While it’s been fifteen years, these two still love and care deeply for each other.

Just a Little Married contains a seasoned romance between the Holloway brothers’ father, Jameson, and his nurse Giada. The story also contains a surprising twist. This was truly a great ending to the series.

Just a little Married. The final book of this series brought everything together. I loved it! Riley came back to Ashville to put on a charity gala. The foundations she work with need money. She wants to help but she can't get to her inheritance because her grandfather has put a stipulation on getting her money. She has to get married in order to get her money. Chef Henri backs out of catering the gala but suggested Travis Holloway to Riley. Travis and Riley had a relationship back in the day, but she broke it off. Now they have to work together again. But Riley brings up a proposition to Travis that will help him to renovate the old cabin to open a restaurant at Moonlight Ridge Resort and help her have the funding she needs for her foundations. She propose they have a fake marriage with no strings attached. What could go wrong? The book is great!

This was a great second chance romance. Riley George and Travis Holloway were friends when they were younger. Because of Riley's snobbish and vindictive father she broke up with Travis. In spite of what happened they were still civil to each other. Travis had trust issues because of things that had happened in the past. Travis was adopted and became a famous chef. Riley was the head of a foundation for her family. Both Travis and Riley were kind and compassinate people. They had to learn who they could trust and how to deal with the ones that were trying to undermine their relationship. Long buried secrets came out for both of them. I enjoyed reading this book. Fitting third book in the Moonlight Ridge series.
