I will not allow anyone to harm Holly, or her daughter. I indulge my primal instincts, and make love to her. My dragon insists that she’s my mate. But I refuse to lose someone else that I love. When a dragon shifter realizes a human woman is carrying his child, will he finally admit that she’s his one true mate?
I began writing short stories for family and friends. My vivid imagination and love of mysteries and romance eventually led me to following my own dreams of becoming a published author.
I am big time foodie and a huge fan of Nigella Lawson. I have an endless love for chocolates. As a mother of two beautiful girls who are obsessed with donuts and fairy tale stories. I love taking mini weekend vacation or spending quality time at home with family and friends.

Holly is in the process of divorcing her abusive ex-husband and father of her child. She’s struggling on her journey of getting back on her own two feet but is determined to give her child a happy and full life. After the death of a loved one, she is reunited with a boy she loved in their youth.
Mason is a dragon who is terrified of his own fire and putting the humans around him in harms way. He lives with immense guilt over the death of a childhood friend and is constantly on edge about finding this new human to care so deeply for after losing a woman so suddenly for reasons beyond his control.
It involves a very specific trope I hate but it’s whatever.
Overall pretty sweet but has a tendency to be very low-energy and bland.
Definitely not the worst romance about a cowboy dragon I’ve read.
CW: references to spousal abuse/domestic violence, terminally ill loved one, death, grief, panic attacks, brief use of dated ableist language, explicit sexual content
Great addition to the series! The author brings strong characters and weaves a heartwarming story with Mason and Holly. They have a sweet and steamy chemistry and I enjoyed watching them come together with her vividly painted scenes. I'm looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Overall quality of writing was ok. The storyline was good, but some of the characters could have been more rounded. Too often a part came up, were just getting into it and then it was over. I love dragons so I'll always take a chance on it. With the exception of the reveal, the only way you knew you were reading a shifter story is because in the general vocabulary shifter, dragon, or hatchlings, was used. So....it was ok. No cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ever after. 🧐
I enjoyed this second chance romance between Mason and Holly. Little Jo was so adorable. The chemistry between Mason and Holly was off the charts. After the death of his grandmother Mason heads back to Maine and didn’t realise how Holly would still make him feel as strongly, even after all these years. Holly and Mason hit it off years prior but Holly asked Mason to the bone fire but he completely shut her down and stopped coming around. Not long afterwards both Mason and Holly got married to other people. Mason lost his wife at a young age and Holly’s husband was an ab*sive pr*ck. Holly considered Mason’s grandmother her and jo’s only family so not only did she lose her family but her job as well as a place to live as Ana’s bakery and house are going to be sold. Holly is freaking out about what she’s going to do next but then Mason offers Holly and Jo a place to live and work on his ranch in Wyoming. Holly readily accepts his offer to move to Wyoming.
Mason’s dragon is constantly telling him that Holly’s his mate but because he’s lost a few of his friends/family that were human so he doesn’t want to harm either Holly or Jo. As Mason blames himself for the death of his best friend Jimmy when they were only 10 years old. Both Holly and Jo take to being on the ranch like a duck to water. It instantly felt like home for Holly and Jo, and both Mason and his dragon consider them part of his family/clan not long after they arrived in Wyoming. I loved that when the townsfolk were being ignorant a*seholes towards Mason after they saw him shift to save a plane from crashing into the ground and k*lling the family on board, that his friends/found clansmen all came together to help the townsfolk to see reason that dragon’s aren’t bad and they only want to help. Everyone should be so lucky to have friends/family that would drop anything to come to your aid. I enjoyed meeting Rhett and I’m looking forward to reading his story so I can find out more about him and how he differs from the other dragon shifters. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Holly and Mason A second chance romance. I really liked Holly and Mason. They met in their early years of college. Holly was working part time in his grandmothers bakery. They hit it off right away. An instant connection. Holly thought they were becoming an item. But one innocent question sent Mason away from her for years. They each moved on. Marriage, and for Holly a daughter. Both marriages ended. Mason’s human wife died suddenly. And Holly has left her abusive husband. Only the death of his beloved grandmother could bring Mason home. The last thing he expected was for Holly to still be there. And not only does he still have feelings for her, they have significantly increased. And his dragon is going crazy being so close to the one he claims as his. Holly has lost the one person she claims as family. Her friend and boss Ana. With her death, Holly is not only losing her job, but her home as well. Having to start over is going to be difficult. But Mason jumps in, offering her a job at his ranch in Wyoming. This story was a very sweet second chance romance. Mason has serious issues being around humans. Having Holly and her daughter around is going to be a challenge for him. But he can’t stay away from them. They both have secrets, that could change the course of their newfound relationship. Masons big reveal was pretty spectacular. And Holly is pretty chill about what he is, she’s more concerned about getting answers about their past. I loved seeing the majority of the dragon community coming together to help Mason. They have a few tiny bumps along their road to that happy ever after. We get a brief intro to the next dragon up, Rhett. A dragon like no one has ever seen before.
Mason and Holly - a beautiful second chance love story
Mason is a dragon shifter who left his clan following the death of his human wife. He lives in Wyoming with his uncle, a wolf shifter, where they work together on the ranch he owns. When he returns to Maine after the death of his grandmother he once again comes face to face with Holly - years ago there was a spark between them but Mason ran away when she asked him to go to a bonfire with her. Holly is a single mother who just got out of an abusive marriage. When Mason meets Holly again they still feel the strong undeniable attraction since they are true mates. Since Holly is jobless and homeless after the death of Mason’s grandmother, Mason invites her to come live and work on his ranch in Wyoming. On the way to their HEA, Mason and Holly experience sweet moments, strong friendships, steamy moments, dangerous times, a hostile community, and loving shifter families. There is growth for both the main characters as they let their past and their trauma go in order to embrace a new loving relationship and their future together. I love the hope, acceptance, and celebration of everyone that is the underlying theme in all the books in this series. I am looking forward to the next shifter who is welcomed into the fold.
This series is just sheer escapist fun and this latest offering is no different the perfect way to escape from everyday life
Holly made a bad choice when she married but luckily she was able to escape her abusive ex with the hep of Ana a local bakery owner With her help she has a restraining order against her husband after he tried to steal their daughter Now Holly works in Ana bakery and lives with her in her cottage That all changes when Ana die and her grandson Mason comes to settle the estate. Mason and Holly have history he rejected her years earlier mason has become a bit of a recluse as this dragon shifter has lost more than one human that eh loved So he has decided that he will no longer love humans because they are so fragile. Thigs come to a head when Mason has to rescue Holly from her ex and they start to grow close But Holly is keeping a secret she is pregnant with mason's child how will he handle it when he discovers a fragile human is pregnant with his baby You will have to read to see
I enjoyed this one. Mason was introduced in Owens book. He's suffered heartbreak of the loss of his human mother ... and human mate. He fled his clan, and found refuge in Wyoming, with the local wolf clan "adopting" him. His uncle soon followed, helping him run his ranch.
Holly is desperately trying to get a divorce from her abusive, soon-to-be ex ... who keeps walking right through restraining orders. She also has a young daughter, that the ex is trying to take. She's living with her boss, and works at the bakery. Her boss is also Mason's Grandmother. When she passes away, Mason's dad calls him home.
Mason's Aunt inherits everything ... and plans to sell the Bakery and Holly's home. Oh, and Holly and Mason sort of had feelings way back when ... that Mason ran from. So, there's history between them. Her baggage with her ex and Mason's issues with human fragility.
I really liked had their relationship developed. There's a bit of drama that does manage to drawn them closer to each other & the rest of the dragons.
The death of Ana her friend and mentor brings Holly's first love back into her life. Holly's ex comes to the bakery threatening her and her friend Ana holds a rifle on him until the sheriff comes and arrests him but after putting her daughter Jo to bed she comes down to find the elderly woman shill on the couch. Her death brings Mason her grandson back to town who Holly had fell in love with in her teens but who had suddenly left and not returned. Holly is shocked to find her feelings for him are still there. A Dragon shifter second chance romance to relax and enjoy. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I just love the stories that Brittany White tells about the Dragon shifters and hell they find their mates. There is always an element of danger for at least one of the characters in the stories, in this one it is the ex-husband of Holly, It is also the threat of the town people in Silver Creek, after Mason is compelled to show his dragon side when the town sees a plane about to crash land in the town borders. There is happily ever after two this story as well as a new dragon shift on the way.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
This was another amazing book in the series and I loved all the characters in it, but I did enjoy Holly and Mason story it was sad, tragic, scary, frightening but after all the drama and trust issues there is love and the light at the end of the tunnel for them both they just have to believe it’s in there hands and fight to keep it. But when the truth comes out and the dust settles can they have a future together or not.
Holly is a single parent to her daughter. No, she is not a widow, her abusive, extremely violent ex is very much alive. In fact Holly lives in fear of him every day. Then she meets Mason, a dragon shifter. But Mason has lost loved ones that were human. This deep loss and sadness has made him the loner he is. Can he move past that to live and love again? Or, is it a no go just because Holly is human? An incredible story by one of my most favorite authors. Really, really good.
Holly survived a marriage from hades....but it wasn't much safer with her ex showing up, despite the protection order against him, and threatening to take their daughter away from her. Mason's grandmother took Holly and her daughter in, giving them a home and Holly a job. They quickly became a family. Then the grandmother, Ada, passes away and everything changes! Read the book to find out more. 🙂
This story reminded me of the acceptance of different cultures, and how people react. I really enjoyed this story very much. What I didn't like was the hardship Holly had to endure while she was trying to live her life as best as she could. But it also made me cry and happy at the generosity and kindness people still have for others. Giving a hand to help someone in need was absolutely wonderful. Definitely a must read.
Holly and Mason went their separate ways ten years ago, but the death of Mason's grandmother Ana brought them back together. Can Mason get over his past and find happiness with Holly or will he let it destroy him? There are some triggers of domestic violence and childhood trauma but I found that they really contribute to the overall story. I enjoyed reading about another dragon finding their way through their past to a brighter future.
The author has, once again, brought us into the lives of humans and dragon shifters. Mason, shifter, was attracted to Holly years ago but left without explanation. Now, back in town for the funeral of his grandmother, he is confronted with his attraction. The story keeps you turning the pages with fear, danger and love.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed Mason and Holly's story. It was well-written with great characters and an enjoyable storyline. Mason and Holly had plenty of chemistry and they were both strong and likeable characters. The story was heartfelt and had lots of emotions, drama, romance and love. Highly recommended! I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
The story kept getting better and better. I loved this story.
Mason was such a good guy that he never second guessed his actions when it comes to helping others even to the point of revealing his secret. He's just that good of a man. And it's about time that he got his happiness with his mate, Holly, and a family to call his own.
This was a really good book, storyline shows what can happen without good communication. But the female lead loves her man and really sticks by him. In fact, she's there for him and corrals his friends to help them stay on his ranch. I love how a new character is introduced and look forward to the next book.
Mason & Holly > he owes a ranch and has had bad luck with his love ones dieing early so he just wants to be left alone, but when his grandma dies he see her after so many years. She trying to keep herself and her daughter No away from her ex cuz his a abuser and when Ana does she never dream that he would walk into the bakery again.
This novel was about a lady with a child that was being abused. Finally somebody stood up for her and that was the beginning of a love story that was interrupted years before. The story was sweet and enjoyable. It had a little bit more narrative than I prefer but it was good.
Fun little read about a woman starting over with her 2 year old daughter Jo, after her divorce from an abusive husband. When she meets up with Mason, she leaves Maine to go with him to his ranch with Jo to begin a new life. Being a shifter story, the typical mate bond is felt by him and love ensues. I enjoyed it and will start with book one tomorrow.
I enjoyed this story. Jo was so cute. Holly changed just as much as Jo did. She got fierce when defending her mate being a dragon. I loved how they all came together to help out Mason. They only thing I would habe liked was what Jo would have thought about Mason being a dragon. Just felt like that was missing. Good addition to the series.
I enjoyed reading this book and I think others will too! Holly's ex husband was a real joke! I thought it was going to come out that he was a shifter, but it didn't! I enjoyed the chemistry between Holly and Mason! I was so glad that they were able to find each other again! I do recommend this book!
Cowboy Dragon’s Single Mother (Irish dragon shifter Brothers Book 11) by Brittany White. Dragon shifter Mason has lost a friend, his mother and his wife, all human, all dead. He meets Holly, who he knew as a teenager, and they have a one night stand and she gets pregnant. How will she react when she finds out he is a dragon shifter and she is a human?
Wow, this book was so good! I loved reading about Holly and Mason - their story was so amazing and I am so glad I was there for their journey. Would love to read more about them and their future.
I received a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review
Interesting and warm story with excitement and heartbreak. I enjoy returning to this series with a wonderful extension of dragons, wolves, bears, vampires and witches. What an extended family. Great reunions.
