Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse Because Daddy set out traps to catch those f^@kers The stockings were hung by the chimney with care In hopes that grenades would soon be in there The children were nestled, all snug in their beds While visions of weapons danced in their heads And Mama in her nightie and I in my boxers Had just settled down for a fun night together When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter I sprang from my bed to grab my Sig Sauer Away to the window I flew like a flash Covered my junk and threw Mama her pants...
“What are we all doing here, Cap?” Sinner asked. “I thought we didn’t have any jobs.” “We’re here because Hunter and Derek were attacked when they went out of town for Thanksgiving. We don’t know for sure who it was-” “But you’re pretty sure it was Victor Adams,” Coop concluded. I nodded, looking around at the anger on the men and women’s faces. We just couldn’t catch a break. “It’s the only threat that we know about.” “What’s the plan?” Ice asked. “That’s up to Chance,” I replied. “You plan to get married out of town, where we don’t have every available resource. But I won’t tell you that we can’t do it. Inevitably, it’s up to you.” “That’s insane,” Alec spat. “We know this guy is coming for us and we’re going to leave ourselves in the open?” “Or we use it as an opportunity to draw him out,” Chris suggested. “You want to start a battle at my wedding?” Chance asked. “Maybe we should-” “I like it,” Chance grinned. “I mean, if you tell Morgan I said that, I’ll deny the hell out of it. But that sounds like a very…eventful wedding.” “You can’t be serious,” I said in shock. “Why not?” Chance shrugged with a little grin. “I mean, Coop’s been in hiding for how long now? I’m sure Cazzo’s ready to put his father-in-law in the ground, and it gives all of us a chance to have a little fun.” “Hell yeah,” Cazzo grunted. “You guys are certifiable,” I said in exasperation. “Do you have any idea what kind of planning is required to pull that off?” “Cap,” Derek grinned, “isn’t that what we’re trained to do?” “Well, yeah, but this is at someone’s wedding. Our wives will be there. Some of them are pregnant. Do you really want to put them in that kind of danger? Not to mention our kids!” “The pregnant ladies have to stay behind,” Sinner said. “Right, I’ll let you tell Maggie that.” “Maggie’s pregnant?” The shock in his voice matched the paleness of his skin. “Shit, Cap. Why can’t you just keep it in your pants for five f^@king minutes?”

With pregnancies, a wedding, new love, old enemies resurfacing, new friends, explosions, gunfire, and laughter. It's nothing less than you would ever expect from the Reed Security gang. Cap even gives you a new and hilarious version of 'twas the night before Christmas!
While Morgan and Chance aren't necessarily the focus in this installment of Reed Security, it is still all about their relationship and I'm happy they get to be happy. I do like the different points of view that the author gives us, because we get to catch up on what is happening is within the whole group.
Giulia is one of my favourite authors and she really delivered with this book.
Merry Reed Security Christmas
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
OMG! Giuliana Lagomarsino has done it again, Reed Security Style!! If you had even the slightest thought of these characters having a quiet, sentimental, gathering for Christmas, you should probably rethink that. She's brought us all the hilarity and down to earth traits in each character and couple that make them dear to our hearts in this storyline. So much Christmas spirit mixed in with the action, adventure, love and sexy times that continue to follow this team. Congratulations once again Giulia. You continue to outdo yourself with each story. I just loved this one.
A wedding may have brought all the men and women of Reed Security together to celebrate the holidays but hang on as this is no fairy tale Christmas. Mayhem, laughter and suspense all reign supreme as not only do they find themselves battling each other but also an enemy from their past.
Humor, heat and action all combine into the type of Christmas that you can only expect from this wild and wacky group of characters.
Another entertaining, but a little over the top story following my favorite security force as they navigate lives with wives, children, and while fighting off potential threats. These stories are light reads with a touch of smolder and some definite humor.
I give A Mad Reed Security Christmas 5 starts because it was really enjoyable to read and that is being said knowing that I have not read any of the other books in the series. I did not know that this would be a collection of short stories based on all of the previous characters continuing their story though the holiday times and if you have read those stories before I would say that you would enjoy this installment even more than I did. At no point during the book was I lost or confused about what was going on I just wish that had the background information to appreciate the milestones happening for these characters. That being said I really want to go back and read this series to learn more about these stories and how they led to this Christmas edition. If you have read and loved the series pick this up, if you are like me and haven’t go read the series first then come back because you won’t want to miss this. -Mackenzie
Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.
This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.
The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.
Overall it was a cute short story of their various Thanksgiving celebrations, leading into Craig and Reese's wedding, and then a brief touch in Christmas.
Having the multiple perspectives is one of my favorite things as a whole as some of them I only like in small doses. So having a book about all of them is nice in that respect.
I'm pretty sure my favorite character will always be Knight. And this book was no exception. He was fantastic.
This book introduced a couple of new people - Reid and Parker - and resolved Reid's story to the point of satisfaction. But not Parker's. This is a common theme with this series. It seems like there is always something that is not resolved until way later.
In this book, the story of Reid came about when he held a knife to Florrie's throat. But he's a young kid who has had a rough life the last few years and Florrie and Alec both recognize that and wanted to help him. Which was a beautiful thing. Turns out, his abuser was a senator who Knight already had his eyes on. And it was a final straw for Knight. He took it upon himself to wrap up several things from his assassin life with the death of the senator and was able to make it look like another senator did it. And he got information on the cartels that he turned over to a friend at the FBI. So while he went rogue, he wrapped up some loose ends from his former life. Again, I've always enjoyed him in the stories though. So it was really nice to see him wrap up those things and truly be able to let go of that life. And even be happy spending time with everyone from Reed Security. Which we already got glimpses of from other books, but it was nice overall.
Vanessa and Cazzo got closure with her dad too, which was nice. I mean, it sucked that he was after Coop and his daughter, but everyone was able to work together and they were prepared to go to war with the people Victor (Vanessa's dad) sent after them. Coop finally realized what it meant to be a part of Reed Security... Family. And they do anything for family. I had hoped Vanessa would be the one to finally stand up to her dad and hill him, but that wasn't the case. She gave him the benefit of the doubt and he failed her once again.
Then there's Maggie. On some fingers, I enjoy her (though I didn't like the book for her/Cap). And on other fingers (see what I did there? since she's missing two fingers), I really can't stand her. She blew up the lodge because of her carelessness and almost cost people their lives when the guys already had things under control and were successful in their mission. She plays the finger card often and the pregnant card too... Though in this case, she is pregnant with triplets. So there's that, but still not an excuse for what she did - even though it was an accident. Sigh.
And at the end. The bit with Santa was a bit too much. I'm glad Coop and Becky got together in this book, but the "Santa" appearance was just silly. Are they really that gullible?? I mean, Craig probably would be. Haha. But we all know it was Knight lol.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Giulia! Totally hilarious holiday episode of Reed Security. Loved catching up with Chance and Morgan (Payton too). Getting the whole gang together, including having Becky back, was priceless as always.
Turning Chance & Morgan's wedding into an all out war zone is nothing new to these guys. Having the we omen involved, now that brought a whole new level. Claire, bless he heart. It was all Derek could do not to laugh at her antics.
When everything came to a head, though, there was no way Maggie and the other women were going to be left out. Oye, Maggie...just wait for this one. While the guys got everything cleared and under control - completely on the perimiter mind you, they did not anticipate Freckles! Oh boy, NEVER forget Freckles! You just have to read to find out how she 'helps' the guys.
Oh, the wedding, right. That's what started this whole thing. Well, not really started, but you'll know what I mean when you read for yourself. Do Chance and Morgan actually get married?
And Becky. Where did she enter into this forray? Well, despite Coop keeping her at a distance because of his own self loathing, she insisted on attending - and manning surveillance. Coop was livid that she could be hurt, but had no choice as he was repeatedly informed. (Only making him more infuriated.) After pushing Becky away once to many times, he realized how much he needed her. If he could change for anyone, it would be her. Will she accept his apology? Will they have a chance together? Maybe, will Becky come back? Again, read the book!
I was fortunate to receive this as an ARC, however that in no way effected my opinion or review of this book. It was fabulous and totally hilarious!
This year I've been reading quite a few Christmas romance books, and even really enjoying them (that's not normal for me), but trust me when I say, A Mad Reed Security Christmas is my absolute FAVORITE BAR NONE! First of all, I'm a HUGE fan of the Reed Security guys/girls, and the women/men who love them, so I'm over the moon since the brilliant & original, Giulia Lagomarsino penned this story which is told from many POVs. The holidays have NEVER been so entertaining, and it will take me at least a week before my stomach/sides stop hurting from laughing so much/hard, but since I was already rolling at the synopsis, I knew I was in trouble in the very best way! From grocery store shenanigans, to accidents with turkeys, and everything in between, this family made Clark Griswold look boring. And that's not even all of the story, as a bad guy from someone's past is plotting against Reed Security as a whole, so the f-bomb worthy twists are present & accounted for. Plus the bonus content, there's a feel good element that tugged on my heartstrings & had my eyes leaking as it hit me right in the feels. OH MY HELL I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE and yes, LOVE this series so much that I have no doubt that it will forever stay at the very top of my list, plus I'll come back to read it all over again throughout my lifetime. Now, trust me when I say this, you WANT to see how it all panned out, so just hit that one click button! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I swear I didn't think these stories could get any better but then Giulia Lagomarsino comes out with this Christmas story like no other and let's just say, yes the action is heart-stopping, but it is this bunch that make this story, these books so fantastic! Ok..so it starts off with one of the wives running for her life from a deranged man, straight into her home, into her bedroom just in time to get her gun, but not fast enough to turn it on him properly. She screams for help, but he's on top of her...and well you know....Get ready to laugh your head off cause this is priceless!
But it's not all fun and games because there is a danger out there and this one is still out to get them. They make a plan...oh and you will not believe their plan. But hang on cause the wives are involved. Can this book get any better.
I love this series and I know it's coming to an end soon and I so wish it wouldn't because it's like having your favorite ole sweat shirt (or whatever clothing you prefer), it's comfortable and comforting and so enjoyable to have around you and to give that up would be sinful. Well this is this series, these characters. The author has created characters and stories that you can get behind, you fall into and want to be a part of. They are like your own crazy family and you love them dearly.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough and this book is a must read!
I'm dead! This book was absolutely hilarious, I laughed so hard! A Mad Reed Christmas is the perfect example of why the Reed Security series will never get old. Giulia Lagomarsino does amazing things with this series!
This book started with a bang, Maggie running for her life. Then you find out she's running from her husband who is trying to get her pregnant. I almost fell out of my chair laughing so hard. But she had me hooked from the first line to the last line.
I love all the different POVs she did in this book. I love each and everyone of these characters, so it's nice to get more of them. The Reed Security crew grow on you with each and every book in the series you read. They are a crazy family, but one I can't get enough of.
A Mad Reed Security Christmas is everything the title makes you think it is. If you have read the previous books, you know that nothing is ever quite like you think it should be. There is absolutely never a dull moment with this group. What is Christmas without gunfire, weddings, pregnancies, enemies?
I don't normally seek out holiday reads, but this one I did. I knew that Giulia Lagomarsino would not let me down and I was absolutely right! A Mad Reed Security was just what I needed after this week. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I absolutely loved this book!
Merry Christmas indeed. Not much beats reading something great on a cold night while curled up in the warmth of thick blankets and a hot coffee to get you in the Christmas spirit... unless of course you keep spitting your coffee out unintentionally or have it go up your nose while laughing or dribble down the front of your shirt from grinning at least. I always seem to wind up with it all over every time I read one of Guilia's books. You would think I would have come to expect it by now, so far into the series but alas my bad timing when taking a sip always seems to result in a mess... and then I think of the messes these boys get themselves into throughout the series and a little coffee don't seem so bad and amuses my kids which lowers the effort needed to keep 4 teenagers entertained. Watching me read any of Guilia's books has inspired them to actually pick up a book or two themselves (not one of hers just yet cause they're all under the age of 16 and there are parts they aren't quite ready for books with sex scenes just yet) Which is something since they hate reading (weirdo's in know lol) Can't recommend a book enough or to enough people, seriously. Please keep up the fantastic work. As always I am looking forward to see what comes next :)
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Sinner (A Reed Security, #1) Cap (A Reed Security, #2) Cazzo (Reed Security, #3) Knight (Reed Security, #4) Irish (Reed Security, #5) Hunter (Reed Security #6) Whiskey (Reed Security, #7) Lola (Reed Security, #8) Ice (Reed Security #9) Burg: A Reed Security Romance (Reed Security #10) Gabe: A Reed Security Romance (Reed Security #11) Jules (Reed Security #12) Sniper: Book 1 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #13) Jackson: Book 2 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #14) Chance: Book 3 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #15) Phoenix Rising (Reed Security #16) Alec (Reed Security #17) Storm (Reed Security #18) Wolf (Reed Security #19)
This is A wedding and Christmas story. Lots of page turning action and adventure. As with all the Reed Security books you get tons of action and suspense. A wedding and holiday to celebrate but still nothing goes as planned. Can a wedding even happen or will all the craziness make it impossible?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own, and given completely voluntarily. What do our favourite guys get up to at Christmas? We finally find out, and it’s no less chaotic than anything you’d expect from this rambunctious bunch (I’m talking about the guys and girls!). This book covers the story from several POVs and it works fantastically. It’s finally time for Chance and Morgan to marry, and you know that’ll never be a quiet affair where this lot are involved! My swoon worthy quote of the book; “ That was really all a guy needed, was to know that he was trusted to take care of his woman. If he couldn’t do that, how did he call himself a man?” If you haven’t read any of this series yet - what are you waiting for? This is seriously hands down my favouritest (don’t care its not a word, it fits perfectly for this!) series, I literally count down the days to the next instalment and I’m dreading the end of it but I’m trusting Giulia to do it gently and with other great books to fall into 😉 (no pressure Giulia! 😆).
Wow what a Christmas adventure.. Everyone involved in some shape or form. It had everything suspense lots of it. The unexpected. The ladies kicking ass. Maggie is a true handful but adventurous. Trouble follows her everywhere.
The Reed men they are so hilarious so could not stop laughing. The have such a strong bond. Brother bond!! A!ex and Florrie taking care of Reid hope it leads to great things. Knight love him his stone cold expressions. Always has his family and teams back. Cap great boss and leader. Does a lot for his team and family. Walks into a lot of stuff with his men and just shacks his head. Don't forget about Maggie always knocked up!! Love Cap's version of the night before Christmas he read to his daughters.
All the character participating in this story was great. The different emotions touching everyone in different ways.
Coop and Beckey the start of their love story. Where will it lead. Giuliani thank you for another great addition to the series. Look forward to Rocco's adventures. The
Eventful end of year celebrations This episode is both a break from the tribulations of Reed Security, but also, a closing for the story of Vanessa and Cooper who helped her, to protect Vanessa from her father. A usual, the story is well written, with excellent characters and it is moving, tender, humorous, torrid and tense from the beginning to the end. The story between Becky and Cooper is finally revealed, but Cooper does everything for distant Becky because he thinks he will save her from his suffering. At the same time, and essentially the men of Reed Security, are devising a war plan to protect all women and children from the attack on Vanessa’s father, whom they think they will be able to stop during Chance and Morgan’s marriage. This is without counting on the equally rebellious minds of their women boosted by their hormones. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This story starts of with your heart racing and it only goes faster from there. You are hooked right from the first pages till the very last word. You will not put this book down till you have read the very last word and you will want to read it all over again. This hilarious holiday special book for the Reed Security family. You get to revisit all of your favourite characters and see what is happening with them. This is based on the wedding of Morgan and Chance and it will not of course be just any wedding. It will be turned into a war zone and all of the women are involved, so it goes to a whole different level. This book will have your heart racing, laughing out loud, shaking your head. It will take you on roller coaster ride for sure. I hope this series never ends. The author is a master in what they do. I recommend this author and series. I just to start all over again and re-read them.
Now THAT was a Christmas story! It was amazing way to tie up a loose end and bring together an update to all the stories! Only in true Reed Security story could you find that kind of a Christmas tale. I really enjoyed catching up with all the characters and getting a glimpse into what is still to come! I laughed so hard I thought I think I bruised my ribs. And the heartbreak for poor Becky and Coop at times was so angsty I LOVED it! The ladies all brought so much humor to the story with their little "mission" was so fun! The whole story had me so engaged! Maggie and her shenanigans just keep everything interesting. She is trouble and I love it! She truly tries to help only to throw a wrench in but her heart is always in the right place so it is much more endearing. And Claire is definitely showing her signs to be Maggie 2.0! And ugh Reid! That kid broke my heart! I really hope he finds his HEA! I can't wait to see what happens next!
What a way to start the story of this book with some serious heart-stoppage because of what is happening! DANG! Two chapters in and I can see just how mad this Reed Security Christmas is going to get!!! My eyes are probably the size of saucers having just finished Chapter 5. This cannot be good! Oh Lord, Sebastian may be a dead man walking by the end of this story!!! Ok, I think Knight is pretty over the top cool. You are not going to believe the things that happen in this story....well....maybe you will. I don't know. I think Giulia Lagomarsino has a very high bar to overcome for the next book in this series. I realize she is getting close to winding it down, but she REALLY set the bar HIGH on this story!!!!!!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.
OMG!! This is one of the best Christmas books I have ever read!! Giulia Lagomarsino has done it again, each book in this series just get's better and better and I hope she never stops writing this amazing series!! I was hooked right from the beginning all the way to the end and finished it in an hour, it's that good!! This is a hilarious holiday special story and it is based around the wedding of Morgan and Chance, we also get to catch up with all of our favorite characters!! In this book we get to go from wedding to war zone and I wouldn't expect any different from the Reed Security crew!! This book is an emotional rollercoaster ride, that will have your heart racing at one moment and LOL at others!! I highly recommend this book and the entire Reed Security Series you will not be disappointed, another 5 star read from this fantastic author!!
There are way too many POV’s in this book. I kept having to skip back to the beginning of a chapter to refresh my memory as to who was narrating. There was a helpful introduction to the characters and how they related to each other at the beginning that I kept referencing. Who was Sean? I didn’t see his name included.
The story itself was good but very little actually addressed Christmas. There was much more attention given to an upcoming wedding. At one point I almost quit reading; I think it was when the WAGS who were left behind decided they needed to find out what was “really” going on. I was so far along in the book at that point that I decided to go ahead and finish. Maggie’s big blunder was also pretty dumb.
I would recommend this as an action novella with very few seasonal aspects to it.
This book is just what you expect from Giulia. Christmas wouldn't be a Reed christmas without a few explosive situations. Maggie doesn't let the side down by blowing up a building, knight being knight all broody and Gabe just being Gabe, throw in the rest of Reed security and you get the picture. This was a very funny book loved Caps version of T'was the night before christmas! How many more babies can he produce with Maggie? In fact I think Reed security will be around for a while with all the children they are having. There is a wedding a few deaths and a happy ending and a surprise visitor at the end. You wont be disappointed.

That’s it! This crew is certifiably crazy! This book has some really funny parts, especially the modified version of the Night before Christmas. There is a lot of action and serious suspenseful parts. The wives end up joining in the fiasco of catching and eliminating a bad guy. Knight, the assassin, has some unfinished business the affects a young teenage boys well being. There is quite the cast of unique characters each with their own special or gruesome backgrounds. Lots of babies are coming. The boys have been busy. This was just upside down and sideways. Interesting tale with a lot of storylines. Very enjoyable and entertaining read! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
After Derek and Hunter are attacked Reed Security knows Victor Adams is coming after them again. Derek, Hunter, Claire and Lucy leave the compound on a family visit but as they drive they realize that they are being followed. They turn into a National Park which is deserted in late November and leave the girls in the office then go to neutralize their pursuers. Seven vehicles arrive and they are forced to fight off nineteen attackers. They now know that Vanessa's father Victor Adams intends to destroy Reed Security. What follow is a mixture of action and mayhem with the men doing what they think is best and the women ignoring what they say and doing what they think is needed.

It's never a dull moment for the guys and gals of Reed Security and Christmas is no different and the past decides to rear its head again and put them on the defensive, but they not only have to deal with putting an end to the past but also keeping the ladies under control who don't like to be told what to do. I loved seeing where Chance, Morgan and Payton were at after everything they had been through as well as everyone else of course and they are all the riot we are use to. Get ready for pregnancies, weddings, revenge, guns and fun as an all out war is fought to stop and enemy from ever harming one of them again.

If your expecting a nice quiet normal Christmas for Reed Security think again! Nothing is quiet or normal for this group of men and their significant others. A knife wielding youth has Florrie by the throat, Vanessa’s evil father has plans to take out all of them, Chance and Morgan plan a wedding, and a war, Knight goes rogue and breaks his promise to Kate. And Sebastian...Well, he has one goal and that’s to keep Maggie pregnant. He also rewrites the Night before Christmas Reed Security style. Action packed, fast paced and with lots of entertainment from page 1 to the end. Love, love, love this series. I am so looking forward to Cooper and Becky’s story. I don’t want this series to end.

So far Guilia Lagomarsino has done no wrong, I love all her books and recommend them to anyone wanting to read something that will keep you wanting more, with the sexy as sin characters and brilliant storylines that have you laughing out loud one minute, crying over a tragedy the next and then being enthralled with the antics of these fabulous characters of Reed Security. This is book no different although is set at Christmas, you can read it anytime. The story had me laughing and wondering how this writer thinks of such amazing stories... well worth reading but please read all the books in order otherwise you will not benefit from the storylines that run through each book linking the whole 'family' together.
