5 Being the Keeper Stars

OMG I have a book hangover. I finished this book two days ago and have not been able to get it out of my mind at all. Immortal's Honor was Sam Kyllwood's book. I loved Sam so much and couldn't wait for his story. I feel like Sam always took a backseat to his brothers, Zane, the demon King, and Logan a member of the Seven. It was nice to see him shine and get to know him better. Time is really starting to speed up in this book. 14 books in and I can't get enough of this world. I can't believe that Hope is 18. I love seeing her , Pax and Drake growing up. And with each book the series plot getting more exciting. I have no Idea where Rebecca Zanetti is taking me with this series, but I'm all in.

Sam was sexy, in control, protective, and badass which is typical for Rebecca's heroes, but Sam like all the others was uniquely different and special in his own way. Sam wanted to fix everything for everyone and was under a ton of pressure. Sam became the Keeper of the place were the seven and Ulric will have their final battle. He became said Keeper to help protect his niece Hope. Honor McDovall was a psychologist that helped Homeland security with interrogations. I loved that even though Honor was smart and caring she was also brave, never gave up and kicked ass. She didn't wait for a man to save her she fought with everything she had. Honor and Sam were very cute together. Honor was one lucky girl because Sam was so yummy.

This book really had me guessing. I didn't see the mini show down with Sam and Ulric coming and I was shocked about General Jaydon's evil plan. I'm surprised that Drake didn't kill him. I loved that we got some Talen and Dage time in this book. There was a cute surprise cameo from our favorite drunk dog from another one of Rebecca's awesome series. Because Sam and Garrett are both members of Bear's MC both Bear and Nessa are in this book a lot. Bear and Nessa were so cute and the sweet little news we readers get in this book about them just melted my heart. I also really love Flynn he is so sweet and protective. I really hope Flynn gets a book maybe a novella after Garrett's book. Hope , Pax, and Drake I am so up in the air when it comes to this love Triangle. With Hope's mom and dad I always wanted them together but with Hope at times I want her with Drake then I want her with Pax. The truth is they both keep things from Hope and that bothers me. Also I can't tell if Drake is evil yet or just believes the lies he was told his whole life. I will say I lean a tiny bit more towards Drake. I would love to see the shit that mating would cause. Not to mention it's really hot when Bad guys reform for the love of their life. Also call me crazy but I kinda want Drake and Hope to bring peace to the two nations. Garrett, Garrett, Garrett the man is a hot mess but God I love him. I can't wait for his book. I have wanted it since he was born in book 3. That little sneak peak at the end for Garrett's book has me super excited.

Immortals Honor by Rebecca Zanetti
Dark Protectors series #14. Paranormal romance. Best read as part of the series.
Vampire Demon Sam Kyllwood is the Keeper of a foretold sacred circle. But that’s not today. Today he has to fight off the heat and flames that are pulling him into alternate dimensions. After accidentally sharing the flames with Honor, an enhanced female, Sam must protect her from the coming war.

Action packed with fighting, loving, and new friendships as the future gets closer. The sidelines are forming. The danger is closing in. Ulric pulls Sam and Hope into his dimension with threats of what’s to come.
I loved how Honor stood up to Sam and how the bears open up to her with their feelings.
Hope is now 18. She is keeping Pax and Drake nearby, but she knows the future could change everything.
Tension throughout and while Sam and Hope are now settled, readers of this series know the ultimate war is just around the corner. Strap on the seatbelt. It going to get even more ground dropping as the worlds collapse.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased all formats to keep and share.

Was this book supposed to be as hilarious as I found it to be?

Immortal's Honor was Sam Kyllwood's story. Yeah, yeah. Honor was there too, but it was Sam who definitely stole the show.

As The Keeper, a title Sam absolutely hated, he and the Seven, the three keys and the lock were responsible for stopping the unstoppable. It seems that Ulric has only gotten more powerful, able to summon people to his prison world and do some pretty serious psychological (and eventually physical) damage.

And remember... not everyone wants to stop Ulric. The Kurjans believe he has served his time. You know, because killing 100 innocent women is an act you can find redemption for. The Cyst seem to be following their wayward general, Jaydon, who had his own plan — replicating the same ritual Ulric did so he could be just as untouchable. All of the 'bad guys' had their own agenda and it appeared that they all wanted to kill Sam.

Then there was Honor. This lady made me laugh so freaking much! From the moment she met Sam, she gave him a hard time. I think she was the first heroine that I've seen in this series who maimed her fated mate and basically left him for dead. How could I not find the humor in that? As an enhanced female, her power was at once powerful and mysterious. I'm still not sure exactly what she can do, but I know that what I've seen so far is amazing. That scene where she amplified the other enchanced women's powers... with her mind... such a unique touch!

It was pretty clear that the chemistry between these characters couldn't be denied, despite how hard they tried. I loved how everyone and their mama were pushing these two together. Shoot, I just loved seeing everyone up in the place. I enjoyed seeing how the shifter community had completely embraced Sam and Garrett, how devoted Bear and Nessa are to each other, how Flynn was such a great brother, how the truth has finally been shared with Sam's family... This book gave me everything!

There was plenty to love about this story and here at the end, I can't wait until the next book in this series. It's Garrett's turn!!

I’ve loved every book in this series as well as the previous series but this one is at the top of my list for rereading.

Car Explosion On Night | Stock Video | Pond5

I loved Honor’s determination to not be “kidnapped”. She gave Sam quite a run, literally at times. Her ability to adjust to such wild, incredible circumstances was all a part of who she was. The talent she carried within was incredible and I’m excited how it will further play out far into the future when the end is near.

Sam was an awesome hero! His fall into love wasn’t instant, although his desire for Honor certainly was. I loved watching him deny his feelings and the mate issue until he couldn’t contain it any more. His problem at that point onward was interesting and I couldn’t wait to see how it would resolve itself.

The relationship between Sam and Honor was constantly evolving. I loved their interactions from the beginning until the end. Amidst the danger and drama, they had some intense chemistry as well as bursts of humor, some of it thanks to those crazy bear shifter’s feelings and antidotes to help Sam with his problem. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during this series.

Definitely my favorite and while I feel you do need to read the previous books, from someone who hates series, I highly recommend it!

It’s amazing that even after 14 books, this series continues to not only be really great, it also stays really fresh. The characters are always different and engaging for the reader. Here we have Sam and Honor. Sam we’ve met before but he’s been a bit of a mystery, especially what his role as Keeper is in the big bad ritual everyone is getting ready for. I thought it was interesting how Sam wasn’t what I expected at all really, he was much more intense and I was living for it. He was off the charts hot. I really liked Honor too, she was a practical heroine. I liked that it didn’t take her long to adjusted and become a badass in a world that was so unfamiliar to her. We also get time with some favourites from previous books, loved getting to see Bear and Nessa again and of course I love Garrett even if he’s being a little bit of a dummy. The storyline was action packed like I’ve come to expect from this series, never being over done but always moving at a fast pace. The continuous storyline moved along a little bit, but we still end it waiting for the big conclusion. I will say that the one thing I’m not really liking is the whole Hope/Pax/Drake storyline, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m trying to guess where she is going with it and can’t or if I really just don’t like Drake. I’m not sure, I’ll get back to you after a few more books. Very much looking forward to what Garrett’s book is going to turn out to be, lots of hints but no clear answers but I’m hoping that his lady love takes him for a real ride.

5 stars!

Wow, what a ride! Exciting, dramatic, funny, emotional, sexy and gorgeously romantic, this is a fantastic addition to the Dark Protectors series, and I loved it!

This is the story of Sam Kyllwood, and I have been waiting for this one! A vampire/demon hybrid, and middle brother in between Zane (King of the demon nation), and Logan (member of the Seven), Sam is the planner, the peacekeeper and the one who tries to keep thing calm and controlled in the midst of his chaotic world. The book begins with us learning that, in order to protect his family, Sam went through a torturous ritual to become the ‘Keeper’, tying his destiny to yet another a mysterious ritual that will most likely kill him, his younger brother, best friend, and the rest of the mysterious ‘Seven’, but on the plus side, they’ll take out the baddest of all bad guys while doing it.

But his role in this mysterious series of events is suddenly causing him problems. He has unexpectedly and unintentionally started to set things on fire, blow things up, and parts of him are dropping in and out of alternate realms. It’s trippy (but fun to read about), and lands him in trouble with the human Police.

Honor is a psychologist who is contracted to Homeland Security as a profiler/interrogator. Her skills are helped along by the supernatural abilities which make her an Enhanced female (not that she’s aware of that yet), but when she’s brought in to interrogate Sam, everything is about to change for her. The gorgeous but deadly prisoner kidnaps her and drags her off to a secluded cabin where he proceeds to rock her world by telling her all about who he is, who she is, and her role in a world that she has no knowledge of. He then proceeds to rock her world in other ways, setting up a seriously hot and absolutely gorgeous love story.

Sam and Honor are fantastic together! Honor is a smart and sensible woman, and Sam is honest and trustworthy. Though they get off to a rocky start, they are completely honest with each other, and despite their tenuous situation, the attraction between them develops naturally and easily. I could feel their chemistry, and they are on fire together! The sexy times are seriously hot! But they also share an emotional connection which is beautifully explored, and I loved seeing them come together.

“I’m not the right girl,” she said softly.
He opened his eyelids. “I can’t imagine anybody else being more right.”

As always, there is lots of action with the kurjans and cysts continuing their hunt to collect Enhanced females, and Honor is on their radar. And more than that, they are aware of Sam’s role as the Keeper, and they are also looking to take him out. This all unfolds while Sam and Honor are trying to work out what is going on between them, and Sam wrestles with his own (pardon the pun) demons as he tries to figure out his future, and Honor’s role in it. It’s a rollercoaster of action and excitement, and I couldn’t put it down!

The setting of this book takes us away from the ‘Seven’, who have been the focus of the last few books in the series, and instead is mostly set in the middle of Bear’s compound, which I absolutely loved! There’s lots of Bear and Nessa, lots of Garrett, and we even get to see Flynn, all of whom bring a lot to the story, and I loved seeing them all again. Of course we also get to check in with other members of the Realm, which is always fun, and there’s even a cameo from one of Rebecca’s other series, which was really cleverly thrown in. Hope’s storyline continues to develop - she’s now 18, and I’m dying with curiosity to see where her story is going to go! And Garrett’s storyline leads very nicely in to his own book, which is up next.

There are some surprises and twists in the storyline with this one, which will impact the series to come, and I’m so excited to continue. I love this world, and cannot get enough of these characters, and Sam’s book was everything I was hoping for and more.

Loved it – 5 stars!

Sam is a vampire-demon hybrid and he keeps setting off explosions and can't seem to control it so when he's taken in for questioning by Swat, he's questioned by Honor. She's different and he can sense that right away.

Honor is an enhanced female and enhanced females are being kidnapped by the Kurjan's so now she's in danger and Sam knows it. But it's not until Honor touches him and somehow part of his fire curse is transferred to her that things take a drastic turn.

Now that Honor has fire shooting from her fingers, she thinks that it has to do with chemicals on Sam's clothing, not wanting to believe that the fire is coming from her. So when Sam shows up at her door and kidnaps her...for her own safety, she doesn't stop trying to get away until she watches a bear shift into a man. Shifters exist, so what else could be real and maybe Sam really is trying to keep her safe.

This is the 14th book in the Dark Protectors series and it's one of the best books yet. The world building and characters are what keep bringing me back to this series because it's been so much fun to read.

The Kurjan's and Ulric are crazy dangerous and now we know that they have to be taken out and hopefully the seven will be able to do it soon.

I love the world that this author has created even though at times it can be confusing when you first read about it. The characters have been great and I love getting glimpses into their lives while reading the series. I'm really looking forward to reading more of this series.

3.5 stars rounded up.

Hybrid vampire Sam Kyllwood has kept his status as keeper for some mysterious ritual to himself, only planning to use this position to keep his family safe. But when the side effect of his role is uncontrollable fire and explosions, he’s hard pressed to find a solution and the consequences of his unintended fires have caught the notice of humans, most specifically talented psychologist, Honor McDovall, about whom he is immediately curious.

Honor consults rather frequently with Homeland Security interrogations, but she’s never met anyone like Sam. She doesn’t understand her own mental gifts, or even want them, but she still uses them to help people and to detect when someone is lying. Ruining her plans for a long vacation, her job brings her to Sam’s notice, and she can sense he has even more mental skills than she does. She also quickly realizes just how dangerous he is, which may be a good thing given the fact that she suddenly has a multitude of enemies after her.

I liked the fact that this book was fast-paced and actiony from the start and it pulled me into the plot quickly. Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case with me and action-packed stories for some reason, I became a little bit bored with it nearer the end. Somehow, the action sequences became a bit repetitive, especially with regards to the source of the threats against Honor and Sam, but I don’t want to say anymore about that and risk spoilers. Basically, I liked that Sam went for what he wanted with Honor and didn’t shy away from having uncomfortable discussions with her. Honor was a bit more hesitant, which was definitely sensible of her, but at the same time, the way in which she went about dragging her feet in her relationship with Sam was frustrating and her arguments against him also became a little repetitive. Overall, my favorite aspect of this book was the side characters, especially Nessa, Flynn and Bear and I loved how they came together to support Sam. I enjoyed this story well enough, but I wouldn’t call it a new favorite, mostly because there was a lot of time spent in building the overarching plot of the series and that took away from time on page for Sam and Honor so that, for me, the romance definitely suffered and took a back seat. I’ll continue the series for Garrett’s story, however, because this was a solidly entertaining story regardless of my gripes with it.

Immortal Honor is Sam’s story and it brings us one step closer to the ultimate showdown between the Seven and Ulrich… although each book is a different couple, this is part of a series with an underlying arc… I highly recommend reading the entire series to get the most enjoyment out of this book!

I hate spoilers, which is why this review will be vague because this book is a Christmas present that you get to slowly unwrap to see what is hiding inside!

Sam and Honor are a fantastic couple and they compliment each other well, that doesn’t mean they won’t have struggles. I was giggling like a schoolgirl during their first few interactions because these two are a hoot! But then… the suspense lights up like a forest fire and Immortal Honor becomes a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat PNR.

The characters in this book/series are fantastic, and we get glimpses of some of our faves from the Dark Protectors… and MAYBE… a secret visit from another FAN FAVORITE (not going to give that secret away here). The chemistry is flammable, the world-building is fantastic, the characters are loveable with independent voices and depth, and the storyline will have you flipping the pages so fast that your heart will sink when you get to the last page.

This series is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES and Rebecca Zanetti is one of my top five all-time favorite authors! Immortal Honor knocked it out of the park for me, and I can’t recommend this book or series enough! It is a must-read for anyone who loves PNR!

Rebecca Zanetti continues her Dark Protectors series with IMMORTAL’S HONOR, a plot that centers on vampire-demon Sam Kyllwood, who not only needs to control his new immortal ability but also tries to handle the gorgeous, smart and powerful Honor McDovall.

In the midst of impending war against the Kurjan nation, Sam has started to accidentally cause fires and explosions while also being pulled into other dimensions. Homeland Security took notice of the former and managed to apprehend Sam, bringing him to Honor, whose abilities to detect lies make her the perfect candidate to question him.

While Honor probes Sam about the explosions, he’s so entranced by her that he accidentally transfers part of his fire making abilities to Honor, forcing him to take her back with him. Can Sam convince Honor that he’s one of the good guys while finding a way to control these powers before it’s too late for both of them?

Rebecca Zanetti writes an addicting fast paced novel where Honor and Sam’s connection is strong, but must go through the push and pull of their relationship and eventually let the sparks turn into sizzling hot passion.

I love the familial bonds between Sam, Garret and Bear, as well as the rest of the Realm’s leaders. And her explosive action scenes come to life with vivid imagery. We also get more of the overall arc in regards to Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood, Drake and Pax as well as a surprise visit from Flynn, Bear’s dragon shifter brother who I hope we get more of.

Immortal’s Honor is book #14 of the Dark Protectors series by author Rebecca Zanetti. It is an exciting standalone paranormal romance, told from various points of view with a happy ending. Subgenres: Romantic Suspense

Rebecca Zanetti's PNR series is such a comfort food for me - it's actiony, steamy goodness that flows beautifully. The characters are sparkling and relatable and the overall progressing story gets more interesting with each book. This series is best enjoyed in order, because there is an underling plot that unravels with each book. In this installment, we have the demon hybrid, ancient Sam and physiologist human Honor, two of the least annoying heroes ever - they are both smart, rational and there are no silly misunderstandings to speak up, she also doesn't just give herself over, but rather makes a be with Sam and although there's insta lust, they don't get together right away. So if you like PNR (with a little MC thrown in) and you want something that has both steam and action, this is the series for you. Highly recommend!

PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

* This review is based on an NetGalley ARC provided in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion. *

OMG OMG OMG !! Perhaps one of my favorite books so far in this series <3

In full bookish breakdown, this book was a blessing for me !! I am rarely disappointed by Rebecca Zanetti and this book is no exception : it is even a love at first read <3

What I particularly appreciated :
- the universe which is still developed with the different species, the different myths (I must admit that between the versions of the Kurjans, of the vampires, of the dragons now but also of the Seven, I would be curious to know what is the true =)) and especially all the evolution that the universe has known since the beginning of the series !
- the multiple plots that I adored =) The main plot of the book of course around Sam's "small problems" (slightly handicapping xD) but also the internal divisions among the Kurjans (I must admit that I adore having all these glimpses of the Kurjans !! My little weakness for the bad guys comes out =)) and of course the underlying plot of this second cycle around the famous prophecy and the Seven (and it is becoming more and more precise !! I can't wait to see what it will be like especially with Sam's new idea and the fact that now everyone is in the know =) And of course there are also all the shenanigans of the little group of Pax and his uncle and the Kurjans ... AHHHH <3)
- characters !! Absolute crush for Honor that I LOVE !! She is one of my favorite heroines in the series and it is she who is at the origin of this crush !! She enchanted me : she was smart, courageous (even kidnapped, she doesn't give up !!), badass (when she shot like a pro =D) and so much fun <3
- romance !! So much fun, so steamy and so passionate !! I loved seeing Honor and Sam turning around each other, looking for each other and falling in love ... <3
- small appearance of some characters from the Deep Ops series that I loved (and that I recommend this series SO MUCH <3)

Questions for the next books :
- I need Garrett's book so much now, especially with the excerpt at the end <3
- Hope Hope Hope ... Frankly, I think I'm shipping her with nobody xD Her suitors really take her for a fool and I really hope she will show them that she is the worthy daughter of her father and that she is going to kick their *ss (even if I must admit the kissing scenes were HOT <3)
- it's confirmed, I need a HEA for Vero =) I know I shouldn't like Kurjans but hey =)

In short, for fans of urban fantasy with steamy romances, I recommend the whole series but this book especially =D

PS: to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

Four and a half
Good golly is this really the fourteenth book in this series ? I'm not quite sure how the author does it but every time I'm hooked by her characters as they battle for love no matter how tricky the situation. We've had Vampires, Demons and Shifters but here we get Sam a hybrid cross of both Vampire and Demon blood and he's always cool, calm, collected and pretty much in control well that is until he meets Honor !
Honor knows her life is at a crossroads and she's about to ditch her cheating fiance, go on a dream trip and finally start her own clinic when low and behold she's actually kidnapped by a crazy biker ! He's bossy, he's gorgeous and he also might literally be the hottest guy that Honor has ever met !
Oo Sam was just so delicious and I think anyone reading about him will be left fanning themselves ! Pairing him with stubborn, curious Honor worked brilliantly to give readers a fun romance that still managed to add something to the overall storyline. The Kurzons are determined to bring back their leader but with not just the mysterious Seven against them but now apparently the Realm, the Demon nation and possibly even some of the Shifters starting to take notice perhaps things will finally come to ahead. Regular readers will enjoy catching up with Hope and her family and as she's reaching adulthood changes are coming but obviously my lips are sealed ! Fun, exciting and action packed this book was a delight to read and with Garretts story next it's all still to play for !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Sam and Honor are now battling for my top spot of favorite couples in this series. I loved them! Honor's enhanced gift was pretty cool and made for some entertaining moments in the book with the bears. She was one of the most likable heroines in this series. She had such a good rapport with all immortal's she encountered, and I loved how she really stepped up towards the end.

Sam was hot. He was intense, very protective and seriously hot when he would go all deadly when Honor was threatened. These guys in this series don't fool around when it comes to their mates. That's hard on a human who is not used to that and I think Sam navigated their differences very well. He even had some really funny moments with the bears.

I'm so anxious to see how this is all going to play out in the overall series, but I also don't want it to end. I've just enjoyed each book so much, and the many characters you get to know never makes for a dull moment. I really loved this one!

Sam discovers his Honor😍

Immortal Honor is the next book in the Dark Protectors series and is as I expected it to be….filled with action packed fight scenes between the shifters and the Kurjans but also a few discoveries about Sam and how he ended up as Keeper for the Seven😱Oh and let’s not forget, the sassy Enhanced female better known as Honor😉

I really enjoyed this story of Sam and Honor and I’m SOOOO excited to find out what happens with Garrett next as this story even though it was Sam and Honor’s definitely felt like it was Garrett’s prequel❣️Wonderful to be back in the Immortal world…I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Sam has a problem, a big one he can't fix and things are becoming explosive. Enough so that DHS is now involved and hunting him.

DHS has a secret weapon, or so they think, in Honor but she cannot quite figure Sam out and he is very interested in her. Now if he could just get out of this interrogation without killing someone.

Read for Sam and Honor's story.

IMMORTAL’S HONOR is the fourteenth instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DARK PROTECTORS paranormal / fantasy romance series. This is vampire-demon hybrid Sam Kyllwood, and psychiatrist Honor McDovall’s story line. IMMORTAL’S HONOR can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in order, or at the very least, this particular arc of the series focusing on the group of Seven beginning with book eight VAMPIRE’S FAITH, as there is a on-going premise throughout.

SOME BACKGROUND: A thousand years earlier, a number of immortal warriors went through a ritual that, if they survived, hardened their bodies against attack, a ritual meant to create a group of Seven known as The Shield. The Shield was created to protect the world from an evil race of vampires known as the Kurjans, their sect group known as the Cysts, and ultimately a rogue warrior once considered a friend- Ulric-a male of immense power. To protect the human race, Ulric was captured, and along with two of the Seven, was encapsulated in one of three spheres for all eternity but the spheres are no longer capable of holding the ‘Seven’, and the warriors have returned to Earth. As the warriors search for the ‘Keys’ to perform the ritual, the ‘Lock’ must be protected in order to take down the evil that is hoping to take over the world.

Told from a number of third person perspectives following several intersecting paths IMMORTAL’S HONOR follows the building romance and relationship between vampire-demon hybrid Sam Kyllwood, and psychiatrist Honor McDovall. Honor McDovall is done, having caught her boyfriend with someone else but Honor never expected to be rescued aka kidnapped by a man who claimed to be a demon vampire, and said demon vampire suspected Honor was his mate. Honor’s gift was powerful for an enhanced human female, and thusly made her a target of the Kurjan empire. Staying with the shifter Bear nation, Honor and Sam take their relationship to the next level but Honor continues to struggle with the idea of mating forever, a mating that could save her life in the wake of possible war with the Kurjan army.

Meanwhile, eighteen year old, Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has unknowingly played into the hands of the enemy. Hope’s nightly dream walking with her friends Paxton and Kurjan Drake has revealed betrayal at the deepest level.

The relationship between Sam and Honor is one of immediate attraction. Sam believes Honor is his mate but for some reason the mating mark refuses to appear.Honor battles between head and heart knowing to commit to Sam means a commitment to forever but Honor’s powers continue to get stronger, a strength that will be needed when the Kurjans take aim. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble case of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Bear and his mate Nissa McDunphy, and several members of the Bear Shifter nation MC; dragon shifter Flynn; demon/vampire Garrett Kayrs; Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood, Paxton Phoenix, Vero and Drake; Ulric, and Jaydon.

IMMORTAL’S HONOR is a story of power, betrayal, and vengeance; family, relationships, friendships and love. The fast paced, character driven premise is intriguing, engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are powerful, dynamic and determined.

Man I really loved Honor and Sam's story. Honor was a hell of a heroine and despite Sam being a typical alpha idiot he came around. Plenty of crazy laughs to break the heavy stuff too. I really dread the painful fall coming Hope's way in the future tbh.

Although I've enjoyed every one of the Dark Protector books that I've read so far, I think that Immortal's Honor might just be my favourite yet. There's just something about Sam, our hero in this book that is just so entertaining and makes for a really good read. He's certainly met his match in Honor and they make a great couple.
These books could be read as stand-alone novels, but there is an overarching storyline that is slowly reaching its conclusion. You don't need to have read the others to pick up this story, but it certainly helps if you have.
Like the other books, we do get snippets of this 'other' storyline. Hope, Drake and Pax all feature and it's still not obvious how their story, once it actually comes might play out. It's clear that at the moment they've all got different ideas of what that might be.
This was a great read. I really enjoyed the romance between Honor and Sam. I also liked the other characters, Bear in particular, that played their part in this book. I'm interested to see what's next, it looks as though Garret will take the lead there. I also wonder if we'll find out how it's going to all end before much longer.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

We finally get Sam Kyllwoods book and it was definitely worth the wait. Sam underwent a ceremony years earlier to become the Key in order to save his niece Hope. Unfortunately the ritual he is supposed to preside over is supposed to kill his brother. He is also having trouble controlling fire.

He than meets Honor who has intuitive gifts she uses while working for homeland security. Seeing Sam and Honor stumble through the beginning of their relationship is highly entertaining.

It’s also fun to see interactions with Bear and Nessa since Sam and Garrett are members of the Grizzlies MC. We also have interactions with other old favorites. Seeing Flynn again just makes me want dragon stories. We also once again see the triangle between Hope, Pax and Drake. Also seeing Garrett searching for his mate is fun and entertaining.

Most importantly though is that even with all the intrigue the relationship between Sam and Honor is amazing. Sam is now one of my new favorite heroes. He is honorable and emphatic andHonor is his perfect match.
Once again Rebecca Zanetti has written a fast paced book with memorable characters and an intense story. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment with Garret.

I’m always eagerly awaiting the next book in this series because I know it will blow my socks off, however the more I read the more scared I get that this series will come to an end and I REALLY don’t want it to. Each and every book keeps me on my toes and provides one heck of a HEA.

Our hero is a vampire-demon hybrid who is experiencing some serious issues which leads to him accidentally blowing up a lot of buildings and attracting the notice of humans. Jump in our heroine sent to interrogate him upon his arrest- and well somehow she ends up being his captive in a motorcycle gang full of grizzly shifters (honestly this is wild but seriously so good).

This series, just WOW! Paranormal romance at its absolute best! The world building is amazing but never overpowering, and the romance is always hawt as heck with alpha heroes but even stronger heroines! This book did not disappoint and I loved both the hero and the heroine! Can’t wait for the next instalment in this series. (For those interested in this book I recommend reading in order and at least starting with Vampire’s Faith).

Rebecca Zanetti keeps readers on the edge of her seats while making them laugh with Immortal’s Honor.

Sam is a vampire-demon hybrid and middle brother to a king and one of the seven. He’s the keeper, part of something much bigger than himself and yet he’s the calm one of the lot. He’s the keeper of the piece, kind of zen, if there is such a thing in his world. Sam was so much more than what I would have ever guessed him to be. What a hero!!!! And when he fell I loved him that much more!

Honor is the best at what she does yet can’t quite seem to him her place. She had gifts and doesn’t understand them. It’s getting to the point of making her crazy. Yet with the even more crazy things going on in her life, She keeps an open mind and allows herself to become familiar with her gifts. Her job puts her in the line of danger but she may have just run into the most dangerous man she’s ever met. With gifts to rival her own or even maybe exceed some thing about this man stirred all kinds of feelings inside of her, and those feelings are not bad at all.

Rebecca Zanetti amazes me with every book. Immortal’s Honor. Sam and Honor are totally perfect for each other but yet neither one of them can make it easy on the other. They fight themselves just as much as they fight their attraction until neither one of them can hold back. The banter, the back-and-forth with each other and the intense chemistry. Danger, intensity and passion are the name of the game for these two. I really loved the amount of humor that was within the story. With so much going on and things coming from all directions it’s nice to be able to laugh right along with the characters. Ms. Zanetti cleared up some questions for us within the pages of this chapter of the Dark Protectors series and gave us more, firing up this reader to know what’s gonna happen next.

4 and a half stars.
I loved this book! It has everything: romance, mystery, humor, action. Sam and Honor are great characters. Honor's enhancement was really cool and original. Sam was totally bad*ss, hot and even sweet.
We get more of Bear and Nessa, which I loved. And we get a lot of Garret and the search for his mate (this I didn't like...). Then we have a little of Hope and her love triangle.
The story continues with the Kurdans and the Cyst wanting to free Ulric, but there's some twist!
Overall, I can't say enough good things about this book and only bad (for me) was the Garret thing.
Safety Squad: it is safe, no OW drama, no cheating or scenes with others.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Series: Dark Protectors #14
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Sam Kyllwood is the keeper for the ritual against the Kurijan leader Ulric. Unfortunately lately he has been having problems with controlling fire and things keep exploding. Nothing seems to be helping until he meets Honor McDovall, a therapist and interrogator for Homeland Security.

Sam is the middle Kyllwood brother and has been the one everyone goes to for advice. He appears to be calm and controlled to everyone but that isn’t the case as we find out in this book. Sam was arrogant, charming, and protective of his family and Honor. While I liked him overall, there were times where his arrogance got a little annoying.

Honor was a wonderful heroine. She may panic at being kidnapped but she also fights back. I loved that she was constantly surprising Sam with her responses. She wasn’t afraid to stand up to him and was constantly pushing him. I also loved that she truly cared about people and wanted to help them. I adored seeing her help the bears with their issues, especially the burly ones who had bottled up their feelings. It was a wonderful little side thing that really made her a great character.

There was a lot of progress in the fight against the Kurjan’s bringing Ulric back. Honor and Sam really strike a major blow against them and it was fascinating. I really want to see more of Honor’s abilities now, especially in group settings like that. Garrett also plays a big role in this story. He is searching for his mate but the way he is going about it is terrible, in my opinion at least. I feel his mate, once he finds her, is potentially going to have a problem with it. Hope also has some key scenes in this book and it really just shows how young and naïve she still is.

Overall, this was a great addition to this series. I am very interested in seeing how Garrett’s story plays out after his actions in this book.

Vampire-Demon Sam Kyllwood is The Keeper, part of the secret ritual to banish the evil Ulrich forever. Since the ritual which made him The Keeper Sam has been plagued by uncontrollable fire and being dragged into other realms by vicious creatures.

Honor McDovall doesn't realise she's an Enhanced human, she just knows she has a special sense about when someone is lying, a skill that she uses in her job as an interrogator with Homeland Security. When a suspected arsonist/terrorist is apprehended Honor is brought in but finds herself in over her head.

I have loved this series but honestly, enough is enough. There is so much infilling of back story and re-introducing previous couples plus furtherance of the overarching plot that the romance is pretty superficial. And that's the real problem, PNR really relies on the reader (well me) investing in the powerful feelings overcoming reason and honestly I didn't feel it. Also, not only did we have the trope of exerting dominance through doggie-style sex and hair-pulling, but also the dominance and physically hurting the woman (oh, yeah, hurts so good). I am just not comfortable with that any more, even in fiction. I truly hope that the next book has a woman who doesn't accept any of that macho BS and literally bitch slaps Garrett (or whoever) into next week when he tries it.

What I want, what I realy, really want (hello, Spice Girls) is a book that drives the overarching plot forwards, maybe Honor finds out about Drake and Paxton' extra-curriculur activities, maybe another male also comes onto the scene (a prophet?) just something other than couple #99 having marginally abusive sex and blowing things up and the plot advancing by miniscule degrees.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Immortal's Honor has it all! Each book gives you a solid foundation that you expect and still throws new elements keeping this series fresh and new. This one put me on pins and needles as to where Rebecca is taking us. This series has whipped me up, spinning me around coming to quickly to a conclusion I am not sure I am ready for, I fear someone will be lost :( Sam is a middle brother and as such was not very prominent - till his book - Immortals Honor. I am absolutely thrilled that even though Sam is Alpha he is not really overbearing and watching him tweak his words and plans to keep Honor around made me smile. Honor is kick butt, she is intelligent, aware that she has something special within her and is not continuously screaming and calling foul. She has her moments, who wouldn't, but for the most part she sucks it up and makes plans. You go girl. Loved that we saw more of Bear and Nessa and what transpires with Honor :) Sorry no spoilers. Rebecca shows us good and bad can be in anyone, Drake and Paxton are prime examples - or are they both being led astray. Action at every corner , romance, laughter and full blown entertainment. Love Love Love! Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

What a fab series. Sadly I was late to this series and missed the first few, it hasn’t taken away from my understanding though, although be warned, it does get a little complicated. Written in multiple POVs, but mainly just concentrating on our main characters - vampire-demon Sam Kyllwood, and enhanced human, Honor McDovall, who during the first few chapters is unaware of the supernatural world she lives in. Whilst under attack from the Seven’s mortal enemies, Sam kidnaps Honor (for her own safety), and they take refuge with the Bears, a group of shifters, and a fearless MC group who are a law unto their own. If Sam thinks hiding out with the Bears will give them safety and protection he’s sorely mistaken. Lots of action, drama, supernatural battles and alpha males. I loved it, and I love reading the continuing back story with the younger generation, I can’t wait, for it all to unravel, I’m guessing it won’t be anytime soon. Meanwhile I’ll wait patiently for book 15.

I've been waiting for Sam's book for a while now, and it certainly did not disappoint....After all these years, this series is still one of my favorites and I have no idea how Rebecca manages to make each one better than the last.

I'm very thankful for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. It made the book slump I'd been it, come to an end!!

This is Sam and Honors book, and I loved gping back and spending more time with the Grizzlies too. The story of the 7 is coming to its conclusion soon and I cannot wait for Garrett's book next and then of course Hope's. I think all of us that are invested in this series are looking forward to Hope and Paxton's story!!

Another 5 star read from a fan for life!!!
