hidden pregnancy trope that is not my favorite especially if the guy is an a$$hole.
the male lead is the worst! he is misogynist, verbally and psychically abusive man! he called the female lead in chapter 11 a $lut and a golddigger even if she's not! he also choke her after calling her nasty names and their daughter named summer saw it! don't you have idea that it will traumatize the child? and also the guy parents is a biased it's so unrealistic how they didn't know what their son's doing. and after the guy choke her he ask her if it's hurt? helloo? don't you have a common sense u are a fvcking business man right? and like the other story they eventually get back together and the guy changed for the better which is so impossible withouth showing what he go through like attending a therapist yada yada yada this story is lacking so much info, i don't think the male lead suffer enough yes she hide their daughter because the guy behavior is the worst and she had her own reasons, i don't think the male lead face his consequences as he should be he thinks a simple sorry will do because he knows the female lead is fragile and he knows her buttons. it's a shame how other readers romanticize this kind of story.
A typical cliche story that romanticize misogyny and abuse against women.... The author should know better that domestic violence is against the law....and not a key for a romantic relationship between the abuser and the victim..... this story never gives a right justice to the women who got violated.... instead she just end up marrying the trash asshole who caused her a big trauma... there's no lesson at all.....
i have always been 50/50 when it comes to "taguan ng anak," and in this book's case, i understood the reason behind the fl's actions, hiding her daughter because the father was physically and verbally abusive towards her during the early stage of pregnancy. i just did not like that the fl gave in to the ml instead of just sharing custody with their child. like, who would like to be with their abuser? also, the reason behind the ml's actions was meh. assuming things about the fl without valid reasons and making it the reason why he's abusing her was not it. the fact na endgame pa? redemption arc was not enough.
nevertheless, i could not deny the author's writing skills because, for me, it was really good. it was just the plot that made me rate this book 1 star.

Good!!! So good talaga, my favorite, so sad lang kasi paid story na gusto ko sana ireread.
Napaka ganda ng naration, ang ayoko lang talaga yung red flags ni helios, grabe yung ginawa nya nung buntis si zuri and nung nasa bahay nila si zuri, idk bakit napatawad pa sya but still ang ganda nya and i think this is a dark romance and shouldn't romanticize being abused just because he's rich and handsome.

Not really a fun of pregnancy tropes. But book was well written, hated the MC until the last few chapters. 😅 The redemption arc was okay. Will I read it again? Probably no, but that was a great start for this author. Keep it up!
