NICK Being stranded in the middle of nowhere is not how I planned on spending my vacation. With a snowstorm on the way, I’m lucky to find a cabin—its owner an adorkable nerd that I find completely irresistible. As we settle in to wait out the storm, I feel that this kind, shy novelist just might be worth getting to know better.
SHAWN I need the quiet serenity of my place in the woods to write the books my readers love. That solitude is upended when a handsome stranger knocks on my door—a man hot enough to be the hero in one of my books. I guess a short break from my latest manuscript wouldn’t hurt.
With each other for company, the cold winter nights just got a whole lot cozier.
The Hockey Player’s Snow Day is a feel-good story, featuring snow angels, grilled cheese, hot cider and two heroes secure enough to admit to each other their love of romance novels.

I loved this hockey romance! I received it on one of the stuff your Kindle promotions. First time reading the authors and I am looking forward to more of their books.
Ok. So… An author fantasizes about the athlete he’s got a crush on when he writes romance novels. It turns out, but the athlete is a fan of the romance novels… But doesn’t recognize himself in them. Then, through chance and a snowstorm, the two meet. The author takes a chance on the real thing, and the athlete uses everything he’s learned from reading romance novels to woo the writer. It’s a lovely, twisted, tangled up ol’ knot of love.
Really sweet short story from the Winter Wonderland giveaway. My first story by this author and very pleased to see he’s got a whole hockey book collection that I may have to give a go!
Nick and Shawn are super different but the instalove and chemistry is instant. Shawn is a romance writer who happens to have a crush on real-life Nick - a hockey player - so their relationship seems like destiny waiting to happen.
This one surprised me. When I first started reading it, I thought I would hate it. Chapter one began as wordy and overly descriptive, which I hate. But then the pace picked up and I really got into it. Shawn was ok, but I was totally into Nick; what a sweetheart. I particularly liked that Nick was written as a nice, down-to-earth person and not possessed by a Neanderthal as so many professional athlete characters are depicted. BTW, love the cover!
Recluse writer Shawn and hockey player Nick are the MCs in this short story. Adam's develops his characters with several flashback ploys with a minor focus on food. Lots of kissing, the eventual romp and a cute epilog.
