This tent is too small for the both of us. And I like it that way.

Gabe
I was minding my business. Literally. I promised my dad I’d take care of the Wilder family adventure business in our little Oregon town of Rush Creek, which also means looking out for my mom, my sister, and my rowdy co-workers, AKA my brothers.

Now the business is in trouble. Overnight, Rush Creek has b

Make Me Wilder is a great light, summer read with the perfect amount of steam and wit.

This contemporary romance is a complete opposites attract. Lucy is a ‘city girl’ hired to help the Wilder business. Gabe is the opposite, naturally, as the Wilder’s own an outdoor adventure business. As the two get to know each other better, walls begin to break and feelings start.

I really enjoyed the character development from both of the main characters. Lucy is cast as a city girl that won’t be able to han

I really enjoyed Make Me Wilder. It's a strong start to a new series by Serena Bell. The main characters, Gabe and Lucy have great chemistry. Of course, they both also have their own complicated baggage which makes it difficult for them to find an HEA. Of course, the best things are worth fighting for.

I also have to say that the side characters are easy to connect with and I see great potential for the subsequent stories within this series. I'm already very attached to the Wilder family and loo

•Amazing Chemistry!•

I LOVED this book!!! This is my first book by Serena Bell and she had me from the baby ducks.

Really enjoying watching the progression between Gabe and Lucy, especially the way they saw what others didn’t without having to say much.

The brothers were such a fantastic aspect as well as the interactions between them and Gabe, as they all are quite different from each other. I really look forward to seeing the interactions from different perspectives in each book.

I feel like Ms. Bell's novels always left me wanting more sexy-times, and I approached this one with a bit of trepidation because the last two novels I've read (not Bell books) needed more - LOTS MORE - steam, and a better romantic pairing. So imagine my surprise when the steam level hits a boil almost from the get-go AND the romantic leads have chemistry for days from the moment they meet. HAPPY DANCE.

Couple of take-aways: I'm clearly not remembering my Bell books correctly, or she has seriousl

"Gah, look at him. Gabe is as competent at survival as he is at everything else he does. I stop behind a tree and watch, hoping I don’t get caught shamelessly engaging in outdoor adventure porn."

Lucy needs change, after having a major mix up with her bosses boyfriend and a dressing down by said boss Lucy is determined to do things differently. This is exactly how she finds herself in Rush Creek, thanks to her mum Lucy has a job lined up to help an adventure company break into the female audience

This is a fun, straightforward romance novel about a family who run a wilderness adventure company in Oregon and the consultant the matriarch brings in to rebrand their company for a female market. It never strays anywhere unexpected (which isn’t a bad thing), and is very steamy.
Pros:
The family! I am a total sucker for a book that clearly sets up a series exploring a HEA for all the sibilings in a series (a la Bergman brothers and Winston brothers). This first book didn’t have the heart or depth

Gabe and his brothers run an outdoor adventure company in Rush Creek, a small Oregon town where quickly changing tourist demographics (from hardcore outdoor adventurers to "soft" spa trips, weekend getaways, etc.) have caught all of the local businesses by surprise. Wilder Adventurers, and all of the Wilder brothers, have so far resisted changing their business and it is suffering as a result. This is the first book in a new series and we are in for some fun future installments I am sure! The Wilder family run outdoor adventure business is suffering from a decline in trade as the town converts to less rough and tough tourists. So the major shareholder, Mum of the family brings in a marketing expert from NYC. Cue a whole load of resistance, of opposites attract and totally scary adventures for both Gabe and Luc

I loved the cool as a cucumber, NYC marketing person that Lucy portrayed. She fit her persona well. Enter a former one-night stand to an office department meeting, and said one-night stand is actually her bosses on and off boyfriend and Lucy experiences the second most embarrassing moment of her life.

Lucy flees to a small town in Oregon to transform a family wilderness adventure business. Her first encounter is with the head of the company and the male head of the family, but neither realizes th

Make Me Wilder is a light and fun summer read, with a perfect amount of laughter and steam. Neither Lucy or Gabe are interested in a relationship. City girl Lucy is in small Rush Creek to visit her mom and do some marketing consulting for a local business, so she can make her some money to start her own marketing firm. Enter Gabe Wilder, he is a stoic man who has been taking care of his five siblings and mother, since his father passed away when he was 15.

When you think of Wilder Adventures you should imagine outdoorsy vacation, hiking, exploring nature, and possibly getting your hands dirty from time to time. What you should not think is a spa retreat for folks preparing to walk down the aisle, a place to be pampered and buffed... and most definitely not getting an ounce of dirt on you. Which is why Gabe is currently up in arms about his families business going under a major change, it wasn't created to pamper the wealthy, it is supposed to be a ...more

I’m going to be completely honest and say that Make Me Wilder isn’t my usual type of book. Dark romances are my jam; I don’t typically go for small town fluff romances. However, Make Me Wilder was a great cleanser to start May off.

The beginning of the book starts off with an embarrassing situation, but that quickly is forgotten as the story moves along. Almost seems like it was an entirely different book.

Gabe and Lucy are two characters that I truly enjoyed. They couldn’t be m

There are a lot of good things that I can say about this book. I am a staunch watcher of Hallmark movies, especially the girl from a big city coming to a small town trying to fix things and the owner of a place being male gets frustrated with her but sparks fly.

This book has that in droves, but brings all the good parts of a Hallmark movie while giving it a slightly naughtier edge and a pining that will leave you breathless. Serena Bell knows how to take you into the scene and set the stage, mak

THIS BOOK. It gave me allllllll the feels, you guys.

That opening scene, when Lucy completely humiliates herself at work? I swear, I had a full body cringe for her with 100% secondary embarrassment. Every single shower scene? Had me fanning myself like a madwoman (totally unrelated to the 80+ degree weather here today, I swear!) The black moment? Just about crushed me. Hand to God, I had to walk away from my ereader for a few minutes to collect myself. The epiphany Lucy has while on the phone wit

This book sizzles right from the start!

Grab your fan and a cool drink -- this story is going to get your heart racing! The author brilliantly teases the intense chemistry on nearly every page, yet it's done as a natural progression of the heartfelt feelings Gabe and Lucy develop for each other. From their first meeting (rescuing ducklings) to the final life-threatening adventure, the action is non-stop and forces Gabe and Lucy to reexamine all the reasons they each had for remaining single forev

After reading the first two books in the Tierney Bay series by Serena Bell, I knew I just had to read "Make Me Wilder" and it definitely did not disappoint!
