This tent is too small for the both of us. And I like it that way.

Gabe
I was minding my business. Literally. I promised my dad I’d take care of the Wilder family adventure business in our little Oregon town of Rush Creek, which also means looking out for my mom, my sister, and my rowdy co-workers, AKA my brothers.

Now the business is in trouble. Overnight, Rush Creek has b

Make Me Wilder is a great light, summer read with the perfect amount of steam and wit.

This contemporary romance is a complete opposites attract. Lucy is a ‘city girl’ hired to help the Wilder business. Gabe is the opposite, naturally, as the Wilder’s own an outdoor adventure business. As the two get to know each other better, walls begin to break and feelings start.

I really enjoyed the character development from both of the main characters. Lucy is cast as a city girl that won’t be able to han

This is a fun, straightforward romance novel about a family who run a wilderness adventure company in Oregon and the consultant the matriarch brings in to rebrand their company for a female market. It never strays anywhere unexpected (which isn’t a bad thing), and is very steamy.
    Pros:
The family! I am a total sucker for a book that clearly sets up a series exploring a HEA for all the sibilings in a series (a la Bergman brothers and Winston brothers). This first book didn’t have the heart or depth

There are a lot of good things that I can say about this book. I am a staunch watcher of Hallmark movies, especially the girl from a big city coming to a small town trying to fix things and the owner of a place being male gets frustrated with her but sparks fly.

This book has that in droves, but brings all the good parts of a Hallmark movie while giving it a slightly naughtier edge and a pining that will leave you breathless. Serena Bell knows how to take you into the scene and set the stage, mak

Gabe and his brothers run an outdoor adventure company in Rush Creek, a small Oregon town where quickly changing tourist demographics (from hardcore outdoor adventurers to "soft" spa trips, weekend getaways, etc.) have caught all of the local businesses by surprise. Wilder Adventurers, and all of the Wilder brothers, have so far resisted changing their business and it is suffering as a result. Unbeknownst to Gabe, his mother, who owns the controlling interest in the company, hires Lucy, an NYC m ...more

When you think of Wilder Adventures you should imagine outdoorsy vacation, hiking, exploring nature, and possibly getting your hands dirty from time to time. What you should not think is a spa retreat for folks preparing to walk down the aisle, a place to be pampered and buffed... and most definitely not getting an ounce of dirt on you. Which is why Gabe is currently up in arms about his families business going under a major change, it wasn't created to pamper the wealthy, it is supposed to be a ...more

This book sizzles right from the start!

Grab your fan and a cool drink -- this story is going to get your heart racing! The author brilliantly teases the intense chemistry on nearly every page, yet it's done as a natural progression of the heartfelt feelings Gabe and Lucy develop for each other. From their first meeting (rescuing ducklings) to the final life-threatening adventure, the action is non-stop and forces Gabe and Lucy to reexamine all the reasons they each had for remaining single forev

Make Me Wilder is a light and fun summer read, with a perfect amount of laughter and steam. Neither Lucy or Gabe are interested in a relationship. City girl Lucy is in small Rush Creek to visit her mom and do some marketing consulting for a local business, so she can make her some money to start her own marketing firm. Enter Gabe Wilder, he is a stoic man who has been taking care of his five siblings and mother, since his father passed away when he was 15.

Can a small town guy fall in love with a big city girl and have a long lasting relationship? Serena Bell's newest book Make Me Wilder is a captivating story with characters that immediately drew me.

Lucy lives in New York and is brought in to help Gabe with his floundering family business. Actually, Gabe’s mother hires Lucy without Gabe knowing and Gabe is not too happy about it. There is an instant attraction between Gabe and Lucy but Gabe tries his best to resist Lucy and her ideas. He doesn’t

Make Me Wilder is the first book in the Wilder Adventure series. After an embarrassing event, Lucy is desperate to get away from her corporate job in New York. She heads to the small Oregon town of Rush Creek to help revamp Wilder Adventures, a struggling outdoor adventure business owned by the five Wilder brothers. Sparks begin to fly between Lucy and Gabe Wilder.....even with his strong reluctance to any change to his business.

I loved the cool as a cucumber, NYC marketing person that Lucy portrayed. She fit her persona well. Enter a former one-night stand to an office department meeting, and said one-night stand is actually her bosses on and off boyfriend and Lucy experiences the second most embarrassing moment of her life.

Lucy flees to a small town in Oregon to transform a family wilderness adventure business. Her first encounter is with the head of the company and the male head of the family, but neither realizes th

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

This was a really great of city girl meet small town mountain man. We meet Lucy in an awkward situation at work and things basically take off from there. She meets Gabe when she first gets to Rush Creek and they save ducklings from a storm drain. The connection between them was instant, but when Gabe learns the reason for Lucy being there, Gabe isn’t thrilled.

The minute I saw this book become available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read and review it. I've enjoyed this author's writing style since first reading the Tierney Bay Series and the standalones, Sleepover, Do Over and Head Over Heels. I loved the blurb for this book and it was spot on -- Lucy is literally a fish out of water when it comes to roughing it in the wilderness but she is certainly a good sport about it! I loved her character's spunk and resilience. And who better to help ...more

Make Me Wilder is a book about a city girl temporarily relocating to help a small town business stay out of trouble. It is very much like the Hallmark movie plots I love. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and how their pasts shaped them. Gabe and Lucy were destined to be together and I enjoyed the journey it took for them to get there. The author did a great job developing each member of the Wilder family (and Hanna). Based on all that I’d give the book 4.5. ⭐️ BUT.... the story focused way ...more

Neither Lucy nor Gabe are interested in any sort of relationship. It doesn't help that Lucy is a real "city girl" and Gabe is mot definitely not. She's been hired as a consultant by Gabe's mother to help bring their company, Wilder Adventures, more up-to-date and more accessible (that's not quite the word I was looking for but...) to more people, i.e. those who might not be experienced hikers/fishermen/wilderness types. This book was the perfect palate cleanser after a few "heavy" reads. Gabe's family business Wilder Adventures is in trouble... times have changed and they need to appeal to a wider demographic. Oh my, what a mix of Hallmark vibes, with a strong female character, and hilarious situations that aren't far fetched. I loved the dual point of views of Lucy and Gabe, along with the world building that happens in the story. This book was a fun read. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I liked how the main characters were fleshed out, eveb though it took a bit to get to the real issues facing both of them. I liked that they were well suited and complementary for each other.

And this book was spicy. These two characters were so hot for each other from the moment they met that it permeated through the pages of the book. And despite that, there's a

Wow! There aren't words to describe how this book made me feel. Lucy and Gabe are both closed off to relationships for their own reasons, but they can't deny their attraction to each other! The scenery of the Pacific Northwest and the excursions that take place really drew me in. The chemistry was also off the charts in this book! I liked the side characters and hope there are more stories detailing what is next for the other Wilder brothers. Hopefully it's more Wilder Romantic adventures!

What a great read by Serena Bell. If you like a hot alpha male, and a smart, curvy, female then you will just love this book. I had trouble putting this book down. This is a page turning, hot story that is filled with secrets, desire, pain, sadness, loss, friendship, understanding, and adventure. The main characters are Gabe and Lucy and the chemistry between them is unbelievably explosive and hot. Oh I really enjoyed this book!

I loved Lucy and Gabe's relationship, even if I did think sometimes they were a bit too unrealistically honest about their feelings.
