Ayaan , our protagonist , is going through a lot of stress and financial crunch. He sees spirits and hears strange sounds every now and then. Payal and Ayaan grew in love during college life and were married. Yes, not happily but they are facing a lot of issues as there are a lot of responsibilities and financial crisis. Payal is really worried about recent weird behavior of her husband and asks him to visit pyscotherapist regularly . So the spooky things Ayaan sees and hear are just hallucinations or there are some actual paranormal activities? Read to know more…

‘The human connects with the universe’s superpower through a soul which acts as a messenger. Soul informs the entire universe about the present conditions of a human body.’

‘Ayaan goes to the balcony and smiles.

From his smiles, it was quite evident as if he was sarcastically smiling on the karma of his life.’

The language is very easy and flowy. Writing style is even more engaging. Plot twists keep the reader glued. I kept thinking after every plot twist that ‘I am thinking exactly what the author is trying to say’.

The way story ends is exceptional and beyond words. We get a peek into what the characters are thinking in every given scene. Characters are well sketched. Dialogues are engaging . I really found book very engaging.

The cover page is attractive and the title is even more interesting and intriguing. It is after one starts reading the book, one understands why it is named so. I am really glad that Indian writers are trying all genres and writing such an engaging book like this. I would love to read more the author .

If you love to spooky reads with a zing of family drama, you will love this book. Go grab one !

The packaging of book was good. The paper quality is also good. Font size, style and spacing helps in easy reading. As I am a paperback lover, (Dear Kindle, no offences meant …I love you too..hehe) these things matter to me. Thus, I include them in my review.

Happy Reading!

5 days by Disha Sharma
It is a very short and sweet novel by Disha Sharma. One can technically read it in one sitting.
5 days follows the story of Aayan and Payal who were high school sweethearts and now married. Aayan leads very hectic life which causes psychological issues in him.
He is also having some family problems which causes him to hallucinate. Upon advice of Payal, Ayaan decides to seek therapy. Such is a story. There is not much to the plot. I really liked the cover but didn't really know what to expect from the book. So everything in it was a surprise element for me. I really liked the whole concept of time in this novel. We often say a moment can change someone's life. But when that moment passes how do we actually cope up with the situation or are we really really ready for the change? Is the ultimate question.
Premise of the book was good. Unfortunately, it was not executed properly. I felt like characters didn't get chance to grow as much as they should have. It is a very short novel. Could have been better if few more pages were there. And book is edited very badly. Apart from all these things author had managed to keep my curiousity piqued up. It had that longing effect upon me.
Overall it was good book and nice one time read.

The story revolves around Ayaan and Payal. Ayaan is a sales manager and not content vwith the position he is in office. He married Payal, his college sweetheart who drop her career to take care of their two kids. She have her small enterprunal business to supply Ayaan. The story shows the journey of Ayaan trying to work a deal to make life better for his family and an unexpected encounter which left him in tatters.

As title suggests the story is about 5 days in the life of Ayaan; which starts with him landing a big project which can potentially solve his problems to him trying to prepare for it with his daily life struggle and lack of luck going his way.

The story is fact paced and it takes hardly an hour and ten mins to read the whole book. Characters in the story were well defined. I have a mixed reaction after reading this book.

At one hand I loved the story idea of a middle class family day to day life, working hard to survive and enjoy their life simultaneously. Lack of narration was a bump on the road to that. On the other hand I liked the twist in the story in the end. Title and the cover resonate with the storyline well.

📍Life and love was good in college as he was an excellent student and lover.

📍Things change after marriage and he feels that he is a loser.

📍Payal does her level best to remind him of the good old times and tries to see good in the things happening in the current times.

📍The language is simple and fresh.

📍The author has given some spooky vibes by using certain incidents.

📍The question-answer session is more than interesting and makes one think about their own life.

📍Lacks depth in characterisation but since it is a short read, the plot is given prominence.

5 days by Disha Sharma is a short read having mysterious elements into it. The story mainly revolves around Ayan who after trying his best to lead a happy married life still having issues with financial freedom and with every passing time the gap between him or his wife started growing.

This is the earlier part of the story..in the next scene...the main protagonist of the book was presenting a presentation and during that period the odd events that took place changed him utterly. To know that in detail one need to go through the whole story.
