This book hooked me right away! I loved the brush-off from Asher, the surprise connection, and then the heartache. OMG the heartache that you get to relive through their memories- ti's One of the best second chance romances that I've ever read!

I absolutely fell in love with this book! I could not put it down. It’s the perfect second, third, fourth & fifth chance story. If you read it you’ll get what I mean.
Charleigh and Asher were high school sweethearts. She was from the right side of the tracks and he wasn’t. There was an instant connection for them. Her father forbade her to date him and that didn’t stop them. They made plans for the future until one dreaded fire changed everything.
For ten years neither of them completely shook off their feelings for one another. Running into each other wasn’t the happy reunion Charleigh hoped for. It took time, patience and more heartache for them to realize what they both wanted. That was each other.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of second-chance-at-love romances, and this did not disappoint. Asher and Charleigh are great together. They were high school sweethearts that ended up going their own way. Ten years later, they find themselves reunited, but their past threatens the possibility of love and a future together. This is an emotional read with lots of feels. I enjoyed how the author wove the story and drew me into the hearts of the two main characters. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I loved this book. The story of Charleigh and Asher was so heartwarming. I had a difficult time putting it down. This second chance romance as a bit of enemies to lovers vibe as well. I loved getting the back story as well as the current one and that ending!

Each book that Brittany writes is better than the last. My emotions were all over the place. Was getting so frustrated with their song and dance! But wasn't that the point. Charleigh and Asher were so happy as teenagers, their lives and dreams just within reach.... but one daunting night changed everything. Hearts were broken and loves were lost forever... or were they? Fast forward to the present, both are doing well and achieved the success in their professional lives, but are still stilted and scarred in their love lives. Never in a million years, did they really think they would see each other again, especially in a city as big as NYC! Surprise! Fight is as they may, the heart wants what the heart wants! Love it!

This second chance romance was jam packed of emotions. Asher and Charleigh's story was heart wrenching and beautiful. Brittany Taylor definitely knows how to pull out all the feels. Cannot recommend this story enough! ~Andrea

I really felt the emotion throughout this story. The heart wants who it wants regardless of the size of your bank account or what side of the tracks you are from, one soul calls to it's mate. This is a second chance love story that will have you rooting for Charleigh and Asher to finally get their HEA. Their past is mired in barbs and thorns and after 10 years the hurts still cut deep but instead of looking at the past they have to look toward the future.

Paper Hearts was a phenomenal enemies-to-lovers second chance romance! It is one of those books that I started reading around 8 pm and stayed up way into the night, finishing it because I could not put it down! This is the first book I've read by Brittany Taylor, and I absolutely loved it. It is well-written, the pacing is perfect, Asher and Charleigh's story is heartbreaking, and their journey back together is full of tears but so beautiful!
Ten years after Asher gave her the brush-off the night of their high school graduation, Charliegh is shocked to run into him in NYC. And even more shocked that their best friends are married to one another. But since he's one of the best realtors in the city, she's kind of forced to work with him in finding a new space to expand her floral shop. It's not an easy feat, and spending time together brings up all kinds of bad memories for both of them. But as they face their past hurts and address the issues between them and where things went wrong — and rediscover the love that brought them together in messages left behind on paper hearts — Asher and Charleigh realize that they never stopped loving one another.

I enjoyed reading this however, I wasn’t totally convinced.
I love a good second chance romance. I just love the angst, the tension and the overall romance! So I obviously like the idea behind the plot. I loved the idea of the paper hearts, that’s such a sweet sentimental idea that I personally found had me more invested.
The characters were your typical rich girl poor guy which I do like in a romance. I loved how Charleigh and Asher made something of themselves considering their past circumstances. I feel like this provide the idea that working hard can get you your goals. However it can also come with a price.
However I will say I wish there was more surrounding the paper hearts and more on the past history of Charleigh and Asher. The pain and angst of their past relationship isn’t really delved into as much as I would personally like. So sometimes when they would have a bad interaction it was hard to full understand the reason why as well as also understand why Asher was hurt by Charleigh.
Overall it was a nice little quick read. I don’t think I would read it again however I would recommend people to try this for themselves.

Brittany Taylor is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across her books before. Paper Hearts is a second chance at love story for Asher and Charleigh. Paper Hearts will pull on those heartstrings for sure! The push and pull between Asher and Charleigh just adds to the angst. Teenagers who had their dreams all figured out and then a fateful night changes everything. Fast forward 10 years and they literally run into each other. Time hasn't changed the intense feelings they have for one another but can they get past the hurt?
Secrets, heartache and so much more, wonderful book.

What a fantastic read.
I loved everything about these two. The chemistry that Asher and Charleigh have is off the charts, it’s raw, filled with lots of history and all the angst you want when you’re reading a book.
Can these two finally make things work after all this time away from each other?! Their total strangers now and so much has changed in their worlds! You’ll have to read this phenomenal story to find out exactly what I’m talking about but, I promise you won’t be disappointed

This is the first book I've read by the author and it was so GOOD! It has my favourite trope and what more could I asked for. Brittany definitely writes Asher and Charleigh's story beautifully. It was jam-packed with emotions. The heartache, angst, love, and every single one of the emotions can be felt seeping through the pages.
I enjoyed their story a lot and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of Brittany's books.

I wasn’t totally convinced, but I liked it nonetheless.
My main problem was with some petty reactions from the characters. I loved Charleigh and Asher, they were interesting, but sometimes they acted like teenagers, not 30 year olds. On one hand, that brought some tension that moved the story, but on the other hand, that was mostly some unnecessary back and forths–one step forward, two steps back.
I enjoyed the writing style. The author’s words created a mood, an atmosphere, that I liked very much–especially in the flashback scenes. She also used motif that gave some coherence to the story. Though she could have avoided too many repetitions of the same facts.
Not bad at all, but I was expecting more.

This was a sweet love story but with heartbreak. Brittany has you shedding a couple of tears for Asher & Charleigh.
Asher is a ruthless real estate executive and unfortunately, Charleigh needs a new space for her flower shop. The problem is there is a history of broken hearts between them.
Throughout the book, your heart breaks for both of them as you read about Asher's past with his mother and Charleigh's past with her father.
Will they be able to get over their history? Can they forgive each other?
Brittany does a great job with the banter between Asher and Charleigh which in turns up the sexual tension. She throws a curveball at her readers more than once in this book. Add this to your TBR list and you won't be disappointed.

Oh-My-Heart
With each book Brittany writes I can feel a greater connection with her characters and story. Paper Hearts is by far the best yet. Charleigh and Asher’s dance from enemies to friends back to love kept me pulled into their history their present - and oh if I didn’t love Charleigh’s sass and backbone.

Brittany dragged so many feels out of me with this book! All the heartache, so much angst, all the pushing and pulling kept me hooked till the very end for this second chance romance! Definitely 5+ stars!

El libro está muy bien escrito. Es el primero que leo de esta autora, pero la forma que tiene de describir las situaciones y los detalles hace que sea muy sencillo imaginarse todo de forma clara. Me encantó eso.
Puntos interesantes:
🍒Los personajes. Char y Asher son la pareja principal. Me gusta su historia pasada, su dinámica también. Tienen background interesante y me gusta la tensión qué hay entre ellos. Sus amigos son una pareja padrísima también.
🍒La descripción, Las locaciones, las situaciones, la ropa. Las descripciones son excelentes y es muy fácil visualizar todo.
🍒El concepto de los corazones de papel. Está muy romántico y especial.
Solo no me quedó muy claro el conflicto. Fue decisión de cada uno y no había motivo por el cual él actuara hostil... creo que un argumento más definitivo hubiera dado más impacto y justificación a la dinámica.

This second chance/enemies to lovers romance was spectacular. Picture your best friend (Mel) inviting you out to dinner where you will meet with a Realtor (who happens to be Trey's friend from college). After all you are looking to expand your business, so it seems like a good idea. Well your friend suddenly cannot make it, but urges you to continue on with the meeting. You go inside the restaurant, and find the man you are to meet. When he looks up, it is a blast from the past. It's the man you used to love, the man who broke your heart ten years ago. He recognizes you too, but rather than exchange polite conversation, there is no friendliness to be had. Heck, he even lies about who he is.

5 Fragile Hearts Stars!!! OMG... emotionally beautiful!! I loved every single word!
Charleigh is a good girl, from a good family. Asher is the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. But they can't deny the instant attraction they both have. Charleigh's father refuses for her to date Asher. Tragedy strikes one night and everything changes. Cut to 10 years later where Charleigh and Asher cross each other's paths again and while they both want to forget their past, neither can deny the attraction and feelings that are still there...
This is the first book I've read by Brittany Taylor, but if her other books are anything like this, then I will be one-clicking them immediately! My heart is still trying to mend itself back together from this book! It's emotional, passionate and so well put together! There are not enough words for me to give for this book... just go one click it!

It was a quick read, but it could’ve been way better.
Honestly I didn’t feel super connected to either character.
Charleigh was ok, I liked how she was a successful business owner, but don’t feel like I knew too much about her.
Asher was ok too. A few things soured him for me. For one, when he’s first introduced he’s thinking he “would’ve f—ked” his secretary if their dads weren’t friends. And he mentions sleeping with any girl that would have him in college. (Thankfully no OW come up during the book.) Secondly, when he sees Charleigh for the first time in 10 years he brushes her off and acts mad when in reality he was the one who broke it off/broke her heart? It made it seem like it was her fault.
Also, why did he have to leave when his mom died? I know it would’ve been super traumatic but I don’t see how that would’ve affected him going to NYU. That part confused me slightly.
I would’ve liked some more build up, them getting to know each other after 10 years. It felt a little quick.
Some good things: I liked the paper hearts, that was cute. I liked how it wasn’t super angsty, as sometimes second chance romances can be.

This book is all about second, third, and fourth chances and also a little bit of enemies to lovers.
Charleigh and Asher were high school sweethearts. Charleigh was from a rich family and Asher was from the wrong side of the tracks. That did not stop the two of them from falling in love and making plans for the future. However, something happens which causes Asher to leave and they do not see each other for 10 years.
When they finally see each other again in New York, it is not a happy reunion. Asher acts like he doesn't even know her and Charleigh is over it. The book goes from past to present and you slowly learn what happened to cause Asher to leave. The minute walls start coming down for both of them, trust issues come up and the walls go right back up. They both had a lot to work through in the past and present before they could be together.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I just felt like it was a bit much with the going back and forth. Also, she forgave Asher way to easily at times.

Second chance romances, you'll always be famous!
I really enjoyed this story, everything was very touching and beautiful. All the lines us suckers for this kind of romance love were there. The paper hearts thing was SO SWEET.
I just think that when the conflicts started appearing, it felt like Charleigh and Asher were just going in circles, sometimes the back and forth was so unnecessary that it verged on tiring. I know ten years apart must NOT be something easy for two people to fix with a conversation only, but still, I think some things could've been handled differently. Their love was too strong for them to be arguing about such minimal details and not even stop to listen to one another.
But it's a great book, anyway!
“Remember the nights I would come to your house and leave you the paper hearts?”

Charleigh & Asher were in love as teenagers despite those who wanted them apart, and were making plans for the future. However, one moment created so much damage that it destroyed their relationship & heart were broken all over the place. Both of them were successful in their chosen careers, however, their love lives not so much. Fate definitely kept her eye on them because a decade later, they come face to face again out of the blue in NYC. Things didn't start out great because the past was never faced so their emotions were raw all over again & reactions weren't nice. Again, fate is involved so despite any resistance, they're going to have to face that past to move forward, and since all the feelings & chemistry are still there, maybe just maybe they get a second chance at love! Charleigh and Asher used to date back in high school and now they meet again after ten years. There’s quite a lot of hurt going on between these two, but they are trying to make it work. There is the push and pull between them, but they’ve both been hurt and have some doubts.
The book is well-written and the character development is okay, though sometimes I had an impression that both Charleigh and Asher were behaving as if they were still teenagers and not adults. I also hoped that Asher would be more arrogant. For me, this was not a quick read. For some reason I couldn’t get into the story and needed a couple of days to finish it, but I think it was just too heavy on emotions to my liking. But overall, when I finally got into the book, I enjoyed the story and I will definitely try other books by Brittany.

This is the first book I have read by Ms Taylor but it certainly won’t be the last.

Fate seems determined to push this couple together but can they move past the pain from the past, this is an emotional read that drew me in and captivated me. If you love romance with just the perfect mix of emotions, passion and angst look no further than Paper Hearts you won’t be disappointed.
