Good book, but before it i had read Rin Tin Tin, and it was better so it made this one not as appealing to me as RTT. If you liked the show ,or Rough collies, then it would be good for you.

It was a pretty good history of the first 50 years and left the reader with a feeling of optimism and with recent movies there is a good chance that Lassie as a concept will live on another 50+ years.

I love this book and read it over and over again since I was in High School. Lassie is an icon!
