The narrator is 5 stars but some of story was egregiously violent & a moments that definitely could have used sensitivity & cultural readers.

4 stars because I enjoy this series and the audiobook was exactly what I needed for a relaxing weekend. The story’s momentum and the kingdom building hijinks continue; however there wasn’t very much character development in the two books. Obviously this is an OP MC story, so if you’ve gotten this far into books 5&6 then you’re clearly entertained. Looking forward the next instalments!

The concept is still ok, but the the story or stories that are spiraling off from the main MC are becoming burdensome without any closer in site because not enough time is given 11 hours? If the inner monolog continues you will need like 30 hours or more. The story has become unfocused and super heavy inner dialog. Also, Lark needs to bury Big Moana for being a epic piece of garbage.

Audio: 5 Stars, have I said this narrator is great? They ARE!!!!

Story: (5) I'm a bit torn about this one. I still would like a bit more magic, town growing and relationship development. You get to love some of the original characters because there is relationship development. Not much on this one.I can't stand the king or the princess, they are spoiled and impertinent. Still it is a good entertaining read, (6) I enjoyed this one since we learn more about the MC and his past. Also not that much politics/power talk. Onto my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!

Another absolute winner in this series and one that already has me wanting to jump into the next installment. Michael Sisa has this wonderful economy of speech that somehow has a cognitive delayed fuse. You read it and a few seconds later boom that extra subtle bit of information expands in your mind. Fantastic pacing, action, base/city building, along with so many aspects of Gamelit that are woven into a complex get not overwhelming story line. Time and money well spent on this one.

This series is getting better with each book.

Sadly, how this ended made me feel it was short, and left me wanting more.

I'm bummed to learn that this is the last in the series and that the author is in med school, i.e., he won't likely be churning out more books in the series for some time. A phenomenal story that keeps advancing with new plot lines and doesn't simply rehash the sold old story lines. Great fantasy fiction.
