Book six in the Vigilante Justice series kicks off a battle that will leave the town mourning their own.

I was supposed to be the trustworthy one, the brother from another mother who fit right into the Kennard family and the social scene of Justice. I moved to town, opened a bar, became a friend to everyone who walked through the door. I also killed a few Soul Suckers along the way, but that was to be expected—you can’t stir up a hornet’s nest without expecting to be stung. But one night with a stranger brings my persona—and my entire life—to the brink of disaster. I should have recognized her, should have known who she was when she sat down beside me, but I’d spent too much time looking out for enemies. I never thought to be worried about my best friend’s little sister. One night—after a few too many drinks—I crossed a line I shouldn’t have, but that doesn’t mean I regret it. It also doesn’t mean I will stay on my side just because it’s what I should do.

Lainie Kennard should be off-limits and I should really stop killing people, but when the Soul Suckers come back to town and threaten the peace we’ve fought for, I’ll do anything to keep her safe.

Anything.

Kristin Harte started off as a chemistry major in college but somehow ended up writing romances featuring ex-military heroes and the women who knock them to their knees…literally and figuratively. She likes drinking in the shade, snuggling under a warm blanket on a cold evening, and researching how to blow things up. Her children know nothing of what she writes, and her husband just hopes he’s not at their Chicago-ish home the day the government shows up to confront Kristin about her Google search history.

When not writing good men doing bad things, Kristin can be found writing paranormal romance as Ellis Leigh or co-writing naughty novellas as London Hale.

The story was very good and true and a good closure for this series but Ian not happy in all areas.

What a conclusion and goodbye....
I can understand the revenge and the death that followed and I also see closure in the tragic reunion of two lovers.

It lightens the heart to know our main characters have a HEA and understand, the violent events and deeds leave marks that stay and reverberate.

But the George R. R. Martin fate of Elijah pisses me off. Is it to be taken as a statement of mind or did it just turn 'awkward'?
Okay maybe I was already pissed off due to the theme change in the cover for the last book - visually a total miss to my taste, but this final solution for the couple tops it all.

To be fair, it wasn't their story, it wasn't their book, characters on the edge, but a real shame!

A recommended read to end the Justice series with 5 stars and a slightly off taste - I don't like that sort of thing in romances at all, ruins the mood.

Wow, what a ending! I devoured this book! Deacon & Lainie are such strong characters & I loved watching them come together as a couple. This book ran the gamut of my emotions, but in the end I felt their happiness.

This is Lainie and Deacons love story she's the Kennards baby sister he's been her oldest brother's best friend since they served in the Special Forces together

I would recommend this book and series for mature readers (sexual content) that enjoy reading stories that are at times funny, steamy, suspenseful, sad, and romantic. Get your Kleenex ready you'll be crying tears of joy and misery and you won't be able to stop reading until the very end. Well done

I was looking forward to this book for so long because I always wanted Deacon to get his own book and find out who he would fall in love with. Lainie was the last person I expected to be his love interest but I was glad to finally get answers to why her relationship with Alder and Bishop was rocky. I actually also really like her a lot. However..I was disappointed with the lack of romantic moments they had especially compared to the other books. Things were dragged out throughout the book which would've kind of made more sense if the book was longer and more content. For an all out war and the ending to the mess with the Soul Seekers finally happening, I expected way more action and violence. They'd done so many messed up things already and I was expecting a lot more would happen as a conclusion to that. The casualties sucked but it also felt like it ended way too easy. I was so glad Elijah finally got more story time too but it wasn't enough and then we lose the chance of ever finding out more about him and his new love interest which could've made another book to look forward to as well! Alder handled Lainie and Deacon being together way better than I thought he would but with everything going on and so many other emotions I get why he didn't flip out or punch Deacon. I'm really hoping we at least get some novellas or something more to look forward to with there still being so much to continue or spin off. Like finding out Shye was pregnant and Mercy never announcing hers. The Sheriff's group of guys could have a spin off. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Justice and expected to end differently.

This, not your fly by your pants romance

Lainie can get down and dirty just like the big bad Kennard men in the family. She has her feminine ways but she aint no ponk beyotch. Troubles coming to her town she wants to help and prove herself to the man she is smitten with Old Deacon Mann. Let it be told Dead is Alder's best friend and right and man. Things get explosive and heated in this last addition(which I'm sadden about) Cam comes back to seek his revenge for Leah' s death have mercy on Coyote and Soul Suckers soul. Zane and his crew stand besides the Justice crew. This is going to be a reckoning. New love is going to forge, close members lost but you know what they say the old make way for the new. I really loved and hated this book. I loved it because it was so good but hated because its ending. Get it! You will not regret it.

This series is by far one of favourite of all time, I was so happy to find out a new book had been released and it really didn’t disappoint. These books have so much going on I just fly through the chapters wanting to see what happens next and this one was exactly the same. I just adore the world and the characters and their relationship. I thought the book had some good twists and turns so it kept me guessing but this definitely wrapped up this series now and I’m a little heartbroken this is it.
