Years ago her best friend betrayed her. Now she needs a favor from the wedding planner…but what is the personal price of forgiveness?
A fractured friendship creates new problems for Rachel, the Tybee Island wedding planner. When the daughter of her college roommate asks for help planning her wedding, Rachel is thrown into turmoil. In college Tammy had stolen the heart of Rachel’s forever man. Joshua Pennington and Rachel had plans for a future with a large family. The two women haven’t spoken in years, and Rachel has remained single and childless. Why does Nicole, a heartbreaking replica of her mother, come to her now?
Upset and confused, Rachel turns to her new friends, Julep and Sylvia, for support. In their book group, the three discuss life, love and family bonds more than literature. With so much going on, Julep calls a time out with Griff Sanders, the attractive veterinarian who’d brightened her holidays.
While Rachel considers saying no to Tammy and her daughter, Nicole quickly wins her heart. Something isn’t quite right. Tammy hides a secret that could change Rachel’s life. Meanwhile, plans for Rhett Tucker’s marriage to Esper stall. Feeling guilty about her motherly meddling, Julep finds comfort in creating seashell wreaths for her guests.
Julep’s daughters Whitney and Lulah help their mother establish her bed and breakfast, Julep’s Inn. But she can’t help worrying about Whitney’s attempt to reconcile with her ex, or Cassie’s new classes, which irritate her husband no end.
This heartfelt Tybee Friends Forever series explores the bonds of friendship, the foundations of love and healing a woman’s past. This is book 3 in a series of 5 books.
So much turmoil for Rachel, Julep and Julep’s family! Rachel has a lot work through with her new wedding planning client, Nicole. She is far more gracious than I would be! Julep has her own relationship woes – in her personal life and the lives of her children. It’s a rollercoaster of a ride for these characters, and for me! Can’t wait to read what happens next.
The ladies of the Tybee Island book club continue to stand together in this gentle story, as they face uncertainties over relationships, past betrayals, and difficult wedding arrangements. They are not alone in puzzling life's mysteries, as Julep's daughter has her own dilemma to resolve. This series continues to draw me in, making me feel for the characters as they try to sort through their feelings and resolve conflicts. The story is well written, taxing my emotions as I find myself identifying with the ladies and wanting to offer my own bit of advice. This is an ongoing series and therefore ends on a cliffhanger. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
The Wedding Planner Book 3 shows the contrast between Rachel’s two brides as the wedding planner takes each woman dress and venue shopping. Author, Laura Brighton highlights Julep’s daughter Whitney’s struggles to reconcile with her ex-husband and the help she is receiving at Al Anon. In a previous story Julep had rebuffed veterinarian Griff’s desire for a relationship, but might Julep reconsider? This reader hopes the next installment comes soon. Most highly recommend.
In The Wedding Planner: Tybee Friends Forever Book 3, Rachel continues being to plan two vastly different weddings. As the brides pick out dresses, venues, cakes and more, we learn more about each of these couples. Life continues to evolve for Julep's children as Whitney attends Al-Anon meetings and wonders about a reconciliation While Rhett continues to build a house. Rachel, Sylvia and Julep continue to strengthen their friendship. I thoroughly enjoy reading about life on Tybee Island.
Laura has done it again. Just when you think you know where this story is going, she throws in some more twists. The Wedding Planner continues to be a sweet, uplifting story of family, friends and second chances. I'm very much looking forward to the next installment and heartily recommend it.
Should all apologies be accepted or can you pick and choose? The weddings are coming along. Decisions are being made. The ladies are dear to my heart...I'm rooting for their dreams to come true!
