That was a cute short story! Fun and interesting and I love a close proximity romance taking me by surprise!! August… ooo la la. Cute and hot, best combo. No time for spice but overall a great time!
This was cute. It’s set in London and Bess is the MC. She’s struggling to make ends meet when she gets fired from her job and now is desperate to stay there, not run back to Daddy and prove she’s a failure. So when a man in line behind her recognizes her as the woman who saved his life, she willingly lets him buy her meal and even moves in as his roommate because he’s so desperate to repay her for saving him. The only problem is…she never saved this man’s life. But how long can she continue the charade before he figures out the truth? Especially since he seems to be falling for her. Fun read.
Bess McKinley’s dream life in Notting Hill is threatened when she loses her job and faces eviction, until a case of mistaken identity with YouTuber Henry Byron offers her a chance to stay. However, when Henry publicly praises Bess for a heroic act she didn’t actually commit, her harmless lie spirals into chaos.
I realized I hadn’t read all of Kirsty Greenwood’s books so I was excited to find Love Will Save The Day on Kindle Unlimited. This is a cute, lighthearted, and quick read! While the story was quirky and the situations were highly unrealistic, it made for a fun binge read. The characters aren’t fully developed since it’s a novella, but we still get a glimpse of their distinctive personalities. I was hoping for more romance between the characters at the end, but I understood why it didn’t fully unfold. Overall, it was a decent read!
Bess is a PT who is down on her luck when a handsome Hugh Grant lookalike mistakes her for someone who recently saved his life. Bess goes along with it and gets tangled up in the deceit, all played out in the eyes of social media.
I enjoyed this romcom novella set in Notting Hill. It was a fun read that you know has to come to an explosive ending.
Love will Save the Day by Kirsty Greenwood was initially released as part of a collection for Valentine's Day. It is now available to buy individually outright and on Kindle Unlimited.
This is a cute little story. Nothing outstanding, but a fun, short read. Kind of a frustrating story. Bess is down on her luck in Notting Hill in London, dreaming of her Hugh Grant. A dreamy Hugh Grant type named Henry thinks Bess is a woman who saved his life and he is so appreciative that he gives her a place to live (with him and his roommate Auguste) and helps get her personal training clients. Life is looking up, but Bess has to fess up about the mistaken identity. Then the bottom drops out. Maybe? It wraps up too quickly, but it’s just a novella so that’s to be expected. I needed a short rom-com read and this hit the spot.
This is a really good novella. It is the story of Bess trying desperately to hold onto a childhood fantasy of living in Notting Hill. All her dreams come true but is it too good to be real? Worth a read. Would be a perfect read for jetting off somewhere hot.
So far, this author has taken me on a different and fun ride in every novel she’s written. This story was so up-to-date, on point, and revealing of social media. Thank you Kirsty Greenwood!
Cutsie. Had to interpret all the different country slang, but I got it. Henry needs a good dose of reality. He was all about the publicity. I quite liked Bess and her down on luck syndrome. Hunger is a deciding factor 😆
4 ⭐️ I actually really enjoyed this,I was in a reading Slump beforehand and it did get me out! It was funny and it kept me engaged, it was a little slow-paced to me in the middle, but overall a nice quick book and I did enjoy the ending! 🩷
I really loved it and wished it was a full blown book. I kinda saw coming what happened with Henry and why he was doing everything for social media. However I did love the pace and the ending.

I love Kirsty Greenwood's books, and this one was no exception. I laughed out loud so hard during the YouTube interview. It was a great escape. Hilarious! Highly Recommend.
This was a great quick read, told the story well even though it was such a short story - a plot twist I didn't see coming and a happy ending, what more do you need?!
Χαριτωμένη νουβέλα, με την αφήγησή της να τοποθετείται στο Notting Hill, που αν μη τι άλλο αποτελεί πάντοτε μια εξαιρετική επιλογή για τέτοιου είδους ιστορίες.
