This is a handy book on the basics of doing astronomical observation primarily with small telescopes - i.e., amateur astronomy. The level is really for the intermediate astronomer because there is math involved.

A good informative book about different types of telescopes, and equipment, but also of some of the usual objects for observations and a variety of techniques for astronomical research.
