Lottie moved to Norway for the scenery and her work as a nurse. Fast forward a couple of years, and she’s hunting down her baby twins’ father and cursing the man for disappearing on her. Until the moment his brother informs her of his death. And the fact that her babies might actually be part-mythological creatures.

Eiric’s search for his brother’s killer is derailed when Lottie pops up on his doorstep, claiming his brother knocked her up. Now he has to explain that his entire family is different, to say the least. Non-human, to be exact. As much as he resists, Lottie’s easy charm and sunny attitude set his blood boiling.

But danger looms over their fledgling family, and the twins have to be protected at all costs. Lottie needs to trust Eiric and his family of sea dragons to keep her babies safe, even though the price might be her heart.

Deep Sea Kiss is a steamy paranormal romance, the first in the Norse Sea Dragons duet.

4.5 stars!

This was a short but sweet and sexy shifter story with interesting mythology and creatures. I usually don't enjoy the widow trope because I don't like the messiness that comes with losing someone you love, but Zoe handled it in such a beautiful and simple way here that it didn't bother me in the least.

I really loved Eiric and how his demeanor changed from wary to sweet and protective towards Lottie and the twins. He was the first one to just accept them for who they were, regardless of the unconventional circumstances that brought them together, and I loved the relationship he formed with Lottie and the twins. They formed their own family unit of happiness and love, and I'm excited to see if Magnus can have a similar change of heart as well ♡

3.5⭐️

Lottie never expected to be a single mom to twins but she wouldn’t trade her babies for the world. When tracking down their father, she learns he passed. His brother Eiric wants to know his niece and nephew though. But is that the only reason?

Cute romance! Eiric tries to keep his distance but fails miserably. I love that Lottie doesn’t keep the babies from their fathers family.

3 ✨

I mean it wasn’t bad. I’d actually read the second one of it wasn’t in 3rd person POV. The fact that it switches characters but stays in 3rd person just irks me.

Anyway, the storyline had a lot of potential. I’ve read a loooooottttttt of strange fantasy romance and never read one about water dragons, so it was interesting to read something different. But really it was the 3rd person that killed it.

A short and sweet shifter romance with a different type of shifter and not the usual fated mates storyline. This is book one of a duet, and I like that we will be learning more about another character as well as continuing on with this storyline.

I love that this wasn’t the usual fated mates romance, it was two people meeting under different circumstances and falling (fairly quickly) in love. The author does a great job developing their story from meeting and then seeing how their feelings towards each other evolve. Her use of different POVs was a great way to show this and I enjoyed that the epilogue was a POV from the character that will be more focused on during the second part of the duet.

The author adds in the history/world building seamlessly, giving just enough information to keep you interested but not overwhelmed. I like that this took place in Norway, somewhere different than the usual scene. As well, there were children involved which I feel like isn’t seen too much in this genre.

This was a cute and quick romance, a very easy read.

Definitely a fun read...

📚 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Shifter romance

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Eiric's brother has died. The last thing he needs is a woman showing up at his home, claiming her twins belong to him. But the more Eiric and Lottie are together, the more their attraction grows. Except Eiric has a secret: he's a sea dragon.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: This would be one of the books I recommend for people looking to try our shifter books but who are hesitant.

It was well balanced, read quickly and the Norway lore and legends were such a fun touch. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill Shifter vibe.

🔮 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲: Easy. The lore was explained very well.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Deep Sea Kiss by Zoe Ashwood
Norse Sea Dragons #1 - Releasing March 17th 2021

“Hey, I’m not going anywhere.” He returned to bed, his copper-coloured eyebrows knitted in a fierce frown. “I know. I’m keeping you forever.”

I know if I need a kick ass paranormal romance book, I know I can count on Zoe. I absolutely love her work and know her books will not disappoint. Norse Sea Dragons continues on with the same creatures from Zoe’s last series Sea Dragons of Amber Bay. The mysterious creatures who hide their true form from the world.

Deep Sea Kiss is set in a small town in Norway, and follows a young woman named Charlotte or Lottie for short. She is on a quest to find the name her helped father her two beautiful babies and try and include him in their lives, it after months or searching she thinks she’s finally found him only to be told by his brother that he’s no longer alive. Eiric is trying to help figure out what’s happened to his brother and he’s finally found the courage to go to his house. The last thing he expects to find whilst their is to find that his brother has left behind more secrets then he realised.

I absolutely love the chemistry between the two main characters and how family means everything to them. Those two little babies are the absolute cutes and I’m total addicted to them already.

This book was amazing, I could not recommend it more if your in to paranormal romance. Now I can’t wait for book 2, Deep Sea Love bring it on!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Deep Sea Kiss and for that I’m very grateful.

I love stories with a secret pregnancy! (What? It's a thing!) Well, it's not actually secret since the FMC wants to tell the father, but she just cannot locate him, but you know what I mean! Cute twin shifter babies! I liked the story, it is full of love, understanding, shifters (sea dragons, duh!), action, twists and turns and romance. I wish this book was longer though. Ready for the next installment please!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was gifted this book by the author and I love the continuation of the sea dragon culture! This time the setting is in Norway and I get very old timey vibes. I liked that Lottie has twins and you're finding out if they have inherited some genes from their dad. I love Eiric the best and how much he steps up as an Uncle and friend ;) This was a good steamy book, also a quick afternoon delight read. 4 stars and 4 🔥🔥🔥🔥 for steaminess! Definitely recommend if youre looking for something fantasy based, short, lighthearted and fun!

I personally found Zoe Ashwood through my book club and I fell in love with the way that she wrote. Luckily, she noticed me and asked me to join her ARC team which was how I got this book. Shout out to her if she reads this! Your work is great and I love it!

This book was the first book a duology. Each book can be seen as a one-shot. It focuses on one couple at a time and the book isn't stretched in so many directions like it might be in a reverse harem novel. The basics of the story is that single mom is trying to find the father of her children, runs into his brother instead and learns that the father is dead. The brother does his best to take of the single mother and her kids and they start falling for each other. That's more of less the story with a side of dragon shifters thrown in.

I had so much fun reading this book. It was close to what happens in reality all the time and that just made the book all the more fun. Even if you were to take out the dragon aspect of the book, it would still be fun to read. The fact that there are dragon shifters just adds a bit of fantasy that people want and I know I wanted it. I mean, seriously, who doesn't want man to look at them like they are their most valued treasure? I know I would want that.

I can't wait to see what else Ashwood has in store for us next. I did a whole blog post on the book if you want to read my full thoughts on it!

Fantastic and sweet romance!

This is a really sweet story with such fantastic imagery and vivid writing that it sweeps you away into another world filled with shifters, dragons and magic. You get so caught up in the story that you forget the world around you and you never want the fantasy to end.

Lottie and Eiric are phenomenal characters that pull you in right away and have you falling head over heels for them. Their story is filled with danger, drama, passion and love.

Amazing story!

So I opened this book to read on a weekend vacation away from the child and I accidently didn't put it down for an hour and a half where I finished it.

Length wise, this is a nice novella length - not too long to where you're going to be reading forever but substantial enough that you don't feel cheated out of the story. Honestly it was a perfect kick off to my weekend vacation.

Substance wise - wow! I loved this world Zoe Ashwood created with her Sea Dragons and Norway. Of course, Norway always holds a special place in my heart as I'm 50% Norwegian and although I haven't visited yet, I hope to soon. Anyway - Lottie and Eiric's story was so adorable. I loved how Eiric stepped up with Lottie's children and how he handled the whole reveal - "surprise! the dude you slept with was a sea dragon and so am I and so are your kids!" is never easy to hear but I think it was done as realistically as could be.

Anyway, this book is fantastic and if you're looking for a real, complicated relationship with wonderful characters, this book is for you.

Solid start to a fantasy romance series, takes you a bit and away in the beginning because just like our heroine, the world building is thrown at you all at once.

I would recommend for someone who is a fan of Ruby Dixon but doesn't want the dystopian set.

Lottie and Eiric's Story . . .

Lottie moves to Norway to work as a nurse. When she falls in love with the beautiful country, she decides to stay longer. She has a brief one-night stand with a local man, Mikkel, and ends up pregnant with twins. She has been trying to find the father of her children regarding some paperwork, and this time sees a light on in his house.

To Lottie’s surprise, Eiric is there to clean out his deceased brother’s home to sell it. When she tells him about the babies, he has something to tell her as well! Mikkel was a sea dragon, and her babies might be part-mythological creatures too. Eiric’s has been searching for his brother’s killer. But danger looms over their little family, and the twins have to be protected at all costs. Lottie needs to trust Eiric and his family of sea dragons to keep her babies safe. Will she be excluded? Is Lottie in any danger? Is there a chance that Lottie and Eiric will fall in love?

I enjoyed this cute story. The characters were great, and the story line captures the reader’s attention. Grab your copy and see what the future holds for them.

Deep Sea Kiss

I ate this book up so fast! It was a different book than I’ve ever read. I’ve never read any sea dragon shifters so this was a great change. Also, I’ve never read any books of the characters having a child. Again, it was a great welcome.

I loved the fact that the main female character, Lottie, was human. Don’t get me wrong, I love books where they are a paranormal being but every once in a while in a paranormal romance you want the girl be human with a paranormal love interest.

The romance build up was great and not rushed.

I loved the interactions of Eiric with the children.

I give this book a five out of five stars and a huge recommendation!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Lottie moves to Norway and falls in love with the country so when she has a brief fling with a local and ends up pregnant she can’t bear to leave the country. She wants the father to know his babies but he has vanished so when there’s a light on in his house she begrudgingly because of the walk and is in for a big surprise. Eiric has been tasked with cleaning out his deceased brothers cabin to get it ready for the market when a woman knocks on the door informing him that his brother knocked her up. This starts a journey of danger, acceptance and love. Will Lottie be able to accept a part of her twins heritage? What will that mean for her and Eiric?

I now love sea dragons!
Especially with the adorable baby dragonlings.

I read the first chapter of this book in the author’s newsletter and it hooked me, I needed more. I was eager to read about sea dragons, a first for me! It was sweet and sexy and suspenseful and kept me wanting more.

When Lottie shows up at the father of her twins’ house, she finds his brother, Eiric there instead. After hearing where the babies daddy really is, Lottie requests Eiric’s help. Since he’s drawn to her and can’t stop thinking about her and wanting to protect her, he’s more than willing to help.

This had everything I love in a paranormal read... a sexy sea dragon shifter hero, a strong & sassy heroine, cute twin babies, witches and magic suspense and plenty of romance.

This was my first read from this author and I cannot wait to read more. I’m super excited for the next book, Deep Sea Love, about Eiric’s brother.

Ok…it’s not great, it’s somewhat good, but the bad makes it almost not worth two stars.
It’s an interesting concept, sea dragon shifters in Norway, an American woman ending up pregnant after a one night stand with one of them, and then about 14 months later she meets his younger brother and finds out her twin babies are also sea dragons.
And yet the part that Lottie had a hard time believing was that witches existed. You saw a man turn into a sea dragon, but believing witchcraft is real was a stretch…uhhh…ooookay then…clearly Lottie is a bit slow.
Then there’s the whole I refuse to raise my babies who you told me are in danger on an island for sea dragons where they’d be safe because the king is prejudiced to humans and you think he might hurt them. So on one side, there’s guaranteed hurt or even death for your babies, the other is just your anger and hurt believing that. Again Lottie was real slow.

I liked that she rolled with the revelations Eiric gave her pretty well, but I hated that she was an imbecile too at some moments.
And when her babies were in danger, who does she call, the sea dragons of course.
Amd the romance between the two main characters was not very sweet or exciting or even written in. We were just told, they found each other attractive. They thought about each other. They kiss. They lust. And HEA.

I’d like to know why no one blinked an eye at the elderly neighbor who seemed to know about sea dragons. I’d also like to know how the witch found Mikkel, and the twins, and why in a rash of anger their mother would snap the witch’s neck without answer. I get it and then at the same time, I would assume she would think clearly enough to want to protect the rest of her family and the other sea dragons and find out information. So now I guess I will subject myself to book 2 to find out what happens.

I loved Deep Sea Kiss almost as much as Sea Dragons of Amber Bay, so if you haven't read any of them, I suggest you start with Norse Sea Dragons. As far as I can tell, both series are set in the same universe, where sea dragon shifters live in communities isolated from humans and hiding from witches who seem to be their no.1 enemy.

In Deep Sea Kiss, we meet Lottie (Charlotte), a nurse who had a one-night stand with a sea dragon shifter (but she didn't know such creatures existed), resulting in an accidental pregnancy. Lottie now has twins and is trying to track down the father. Her world turns upside down when his brother informs her that the man she's looking for is dead and her babies are not quite human. He offers his help, and as he gets to know her, they fall in love. But sea dragons have formidable enemies, and Lottie's babies aren't safe.

To be honest, the widow trope is not my cup of tea, but in this case, I didn't have a problem with it. Lottie and Sea dragon didn't really have a relationship, so she doesn't have much baggage. If anything, it makes the characters more relatable and their experience more real...except for the part where the hot guy turns into a sea dragon—I don't need to relate to enjoy it 😅.

The relationship between Lottie and Eiric is sweet and blooms with each encounter. I love how nothing was rushed. I had so much fun reading this book. Lottie is a single mom who will stop at nothing to protect her family, and Eiric is a stand-up guy who doesn't act like a caveman and is adept at changing diapers.

I look forward to reading the next book in this duology. I hope it's Magnum's (Eiric's brother) story.

Here be Dragons!

This is the first in a series of two books set in remote, coastal Norway. The story is PNR with an HEA and there are scenes of a sexual nature.

I really enjoyed this story of sea dragons and witches. It’s a different take on the usual tropes. Zoe Ashwood has a style of writing which flows well and is easy to read. It’s a light-hearted, fun read and I got through the whole book in a couple of hours. Her characters are interesting and believable and I found myself invested in the plight of this single Mum and her potential new love.

Lottie is a human nurse who has come to live in Norway from America. Her life is turned upside down when a one night stand results in a surprise pregnancy with twins. Lottie’s search for their father leads her to his brother, Eiric, who informs her that not only has the man she is looking for died but that his family are not entirely human and nor are her twins.

Lottie has a choice: remain in the human world and try to cope with the changes her children will go through and the knowledge that she and they are vulnerable to attacks from the witches who have been trying to wipe out their kind for centuries, or move to a remote, isolated island where her children can be raised with family and learn about their own supernatural side. Her life is further complicated when she realises that her feelings for Eiric are deeper than expected but are they reciprocated?

This is the first book I’ve read from this author but it won’t be the last. Book two is out. I will be reading it.

I was very excited to read Deep Sea Kiss and have more Sea Dragon stories as I just binge read Zoe Ashwood's Sea Dragon's of Amber Bay RH trilogy and wanted more!!

Deep Sea Kiss is a wonderful first book to a lovely paranormal romance that introduces us to Lottie who is a human single mom of twins and Eiric the sea dragon twin brother of the babies' father. The story takes place in Norway where we get to be introduced to where the Norway Sea Dragon Clan lives, but not as deep into their community like we did with the Amber Bay Sea Dragons. Instead we find a sweet story two people finding each other and not expecting the trust they find with each other. I wouldn't say it is a slow burn, maybe a "medium burn" romance. After finishing Zoe's RH trilogy is was a huge change of pace to move to a more traditional M/F relationship, but in a good way. While it was apparent the attraction the 2 feel for each other Zoe let them get to know each other without having them jump into a relationship until deeper into the book.

The story does end on a slight cliffhanger and I am excited to meet the oldest brother and find out what his story will be. Hopefully we will get more of the other Norway Sea Dragon community members as well, but that won't be a deal breaker for me.

I read an ARC of this story and chose to leave a voluntary honest review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh wow! This book has a gorgeous cover that got my attention and its story did not disappoint! It was really interesting and I liked that it explained everything so nicely🖤. So..the story is set in Norway and it speaks of a Sea dragon clan that has to remain hidden from humans and other supernatural beings like witches in order to be safe.

The book is about Charlotte -aka Lottie- and how after a one night stand with one of these dragons she becomes pregnant with his twins. Unfortunately this particular dragon dies and Lottie finds out that he has a family. A family that is really interested in meeting the babies.
Especially one of the brothers, Eiric.. is supporting Lottie since the beginning and helps her out while she tries to understand how the things are gonna work for her kids, now that she knows they're half dragons.

Eiric and Lottie come really close to each other during these events and they realize that they have strong feelings. Their story has a healthy amount of action as well since there are enemies who pose a serious threat to the twins and the dragons in general.

I really enjoyed this and I definitely like dragon related books! 🖤

4.5 stars. Lottie, the female human lead, has been trying to track down the father of her twins to get him to help her with the paperwork to access benefits. When she sees the lights on in his house, she knocks and is shocked to find his brother, Eiric, the male sea dragon lead, present and advising that his brother died two months ago. He initially doesn’t believe the twins are his brother’s until he meets them. But it’s not appropriate to want his brother’s ex-one-night-stand and there’s the whole needing to tell her about her twins’ heritage and finding out how his brother died…

This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and placed in a beautiful isolated location and within a novel community. I enjoyed the people introduced as support for the lead characters and the character and relationship development. I also enjoyed the genuine incorporation of the twins into the story; not just as props but as real people. The romance in this story is completed within but the overarching plot continues into the next story.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DEEP SEA KISS". This was such an interesting, entertaining, intriguing, suspense fill drama, murder, danger, steamy scenes, magic, mystery, an addicting read you can't put down.
Lottie moved to Norway worked as a nurse she's looking for her twins father he disappeared on her she ends up on his brother Erics doorstep with the twins he has to inform her he'd been searching for his brothers killer & her babies aren't just human their sea dragons he's immediately attracted to her.
Eric is so caring towards Lottie & the twins very protective of them he accepted them even though what brought them together was something he never expected their relationship developed they became like a family.
I defintely recommend to get this well written book by Zoe Ashwood, follow the journey Lottie, Eric & baby twin dragons take you on her accepting the father of her twins was a Sea Dragon & so is Eric it was a sweet beautiful story you done want miss getting I'm so looking forward to "MAGNUS'S STORY" next book in "DEEP SEA LOVE"

3.5 - I'm broadening my paranormal romance horizons with a new to me shifter concept - sea dragons! I've read lots of wolf shifter stories, some bear, and now onto sea dragons. Yes, the mythological sea dragon lives, in remote Norway in this world concept. Years of fighting with witch covens almost wiped out the sea dragon population, but one community still exists, on a magically hidden island in the Norwegian sea. After a one night stand, our heroine found herself preggers and alone, later raising baby twins on her own. Little did she know her errant lover was a sea dragon and guess what happens when her babies hit the water? Scales! Wings! Claws and tails! It's pretty cute. Introducing this world through human and sea dragon shifter viewpoints broadens the scope and adds depth to the concept. The ending is fitting yet leaves a lot open to be explored in the back half of this two part series. This author is new to me as well, and I liked this book and the writing style enough that I'm reading on to the second book.

interesting!

Great story. Loved the new shifter angle. Sea dragons. This story wasn’t about fated mates but an accidental pregnancy resulting from a one night stand. That lead her to seek out the father for either assistance or proof to get govt help. Lottie comes upon Eiric, mikkels brother and learns that the father of her twins is dead. Eiric is broody and aloof and is wary of Lottie. As someone who has always kept to himself die to all the secrets you could understand why. Loved watching the slow burn of them coming to a friendship and their growth of feelings. Loved how once eiric saw the babies he was all in to help and care for them. Then we get some family drama as well as prejudices over Lottie being human but eiric stands his ground by the woman he loves. And the mother of his brothers babies. Some craziness ensues and then They get a HEA. But we do get left wondering questions about who will come for more vengeance and what about magnus. Can’t wait.
