Persistence means "NOT GIVING UP" according to the author, Jill Colella. This sweet book encourages children to learn that concept. Then live it.
I love the example supplied on Pages 12-13.
"Break big goals into small steps.
Think of getting dressed.
First, you put on your shirt,
then pants,
and then socks."
What a lovely, helpful book -- a real gift to toddlers and older children too. A FIVE STAR gift, seems to me.
