Having had a chance to actually visit the Green Bank Observatory this year, "But It Was Fun: The First Forty Years of Radio Astronomy at Green Bank" is a nice souvenir book from this beautiful observatory in SE WV. The book is a collection of essays dealing with the set-up and choice spot for the observatory as well as the observations made along with the challenges in the history of things at Green Bank. The one lone disadvantage to the book is the small print size which can make reading it a challenge & I also know I had to remember parts of astronomy that I'd forgotten over the years. Either way this book is a perfect companion book for anyone who has ever visited this place or is interested in visiting.
