● First reread and technically still first audiobook because this one and the prequel are together in one. I LOVE IT. Recommending x billion.- January 29-30th 2021.

FINALLY. FINALLY. FINALLY.
I AM SO HAPPY.
Lina wakes up the morning after the Monster Ball and...SHE'S STILL ALIVE, HURRAY! She doesn't want to waste any time and immediately wants to jump Nord's bones (as she should) but he has other plans.
Lina's lack of memories has Nord pushing her away no matter how much he wants to keep her close. He's worried she might already be involved with someone else and doesn't want to cause her pain. How sweet. AND ANNOYING. Do now, regret later, ok? Ok.
After some brushes with possible danger, Nord decides to help Lina train which doesn't exactly work out. She's no skilled fighter and she can't seem to get her magic to appear. But Nord won't always be there to help her, she needs to learn. Either way, Lina's just "bursting" with questions that need answering and she's going to get those answers one way or another.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I love this book. I don't think I can express how much. The wait was so worth it and I'm glad I decided to read The Chosen and The Keepers before getting into this because that makes it so much better.
Obviously I love Nord and Lina but I'm also really loving the fae prince? He can be cold all he wants but I am intrigued.
Finley is getting funnier, I appreciate him being there.
That stalker though...why does he have to have gray eyes like this one other character? DON'T TELL ME IT'S THE SAME PERSON, I'LL BE CRUSHED. Doesn't seem like it is though.
Lina disliking coffee is so iconic. I hope she doesn't suddenly become a fan after her memories come back, I need at least one character on my coffee hating side.
Not a lot of magic here, except that one time and that other small time so I'm hoping there's more of it in the other books.
The ending is the worst. Definitely top tier cliffhanger. I'd kick myself for reading this if I couldn't immediately continue the story.

As secrets start to reveal themselves and Lina's nightmares become more persistent Lina & Nord are on a path that could very well lead to them never getting the thing, they want most. Each other.
With Shane East & Stella Hunter narrating this story of magic, mystery and the unknown you will be swept up in their voices and the way they play off one another. I've listened to multiple narrations by each of these narrators but there is something about their voices together that just has me swooning all over the place.
My one and only complaint on this baby was the cliffhanger!! I am not one who takes off my rating for that, but I can guarantee you that as soon as I can I'll be diving straight into book two. There are still so many unanswered questions and I need all the answers!!

this was really good.. interesting and fast paced... good strong characters.. good bantar.. fun storyline.. plus paranormal aspects which made me super happy to read haha. this one does leave in a cliffy which i really need fixed asap haha. it was wonderful!

New to me author Meg Anne knocks it out of the park with this one! I'm so glad I took a chance on her book. It was absolutely amazing and I could not stop listening to Lina and Nord's story. I wanted to know everything! Meg kept me guessing through the entire thing and then I got to the end. Wow! I cannot wait for book 2!
Stella Hunter and Shane East were perfectly cast for Lina and Nord. I really enjoyed their performances. Stella really captures Lina's strength and sass while Shane captures Nord's strength and protectiveness. Amazing book!

This was the first book that I have read that is solely by Meg. She has a great way of capturing the characters personalities so perfectly with her wording that is like watching a movie in your head that you can't help to get pulled in. I'm a sucker for sarcasm and for a girl pushing a girl to his limits when she knows he wants her. Her and the way she drives Nord crazy had me cracking up. And boy that heat between them is intense. The story takes no time at all jump in. At first I was a little confused with how quick it was but turns out there is a short story that is before this one so that may help. I will be going back to read it. Really enjoy them trying to discover mystery and their detective work of trying to figure out what happened to Lina. I look forward to the next book.

I absolutely loved this book. Lina is a breath of fresh air and Nord is just hot and my newest book boyfriend. This story just drew me in from the very beginning and I could not stop reading it once I started. I can't wait for the next book, because damn that ending just left me speechless.

Hint of Danger picks up immediately after the events of novella, Shade of Danger. Former ghost, Lina, isn't taking her second chance at life for granted, she is charging forward without regrets. As she is learning to live again, she and her viking-esque Guardian, Nord, are on a mission to discover all they can about Lina's past.
Lina is now one of my favorite characters. She comes across so real. She doesn't have super fighting skills and she knows absolutely nothing about her magic. Her greatest weapons are her wit, snark, and passion for living. Lina's experiences have shaped her in a way that leave her delightfully impulsive and innocent in the same measure. I was worried that those traits could be irritating as the story progressed, but while Lina stays true to character, she is also growing.
Author, Meg Anne, gets better and better with every series she writes. And this is a fantastic start to her newest series. The writing is solid, and more then that, vividly descriptive without bogging down the pace. The story is told from dual points of view, both Lina's and Nord's, allowing for strong and believable character development. And oh the steamy romance! Do beware, in true Meg Anne style, the book ends with a cliffhanger. Even so, I highly recommend you read this book now!

I’m so glad to have won this ALC because it led me to discover an awesome book and a great new author. I loved Meg Anne’s writing and was immediately captivated. From the mysterious and magical Monster Ball in the prequel to the suspenseful ending, I couldn’t stop listening to Lina and Nord’s story. Lina is a strong, feisty woman who has no memories of her past but doesn’t let that stop her from finding out who she really is and going after what she wants. Her connection with Nord at the Ball is immediate and intense. Nord is a strong, sexy, Viking-like Guardian who is protective and possessive of Lina and has a mysterious past of his own. I enjoyed the journey of uncovering their mysteries and watching their slow burn – and boy does it burn! I can’t wait to discover more about Lina’s past and watch them face the potential dangers that lie ahead. Anxiously waiting for the next audiobook in this series!
On a side note, I really enjoyed the supporting characters as well. In fact, I admit to having a bit of a crush on Finley, Nord’s best friend. He’s charming, charismatic and the perfect sidekick for Nord. I’m also intrigued by the lovely and enigmatic Quinn. When the side characters make you hope they get a story of their own, you know they are well-written.

*Audiobook review*
This was my first book & listen by Meg Anne. I have to say I really enjoyed this story. I will probably need to read Shade of Danger to get the whole back story, but this was also great as a standalone.
This story revolves around former ghost Lina and her Viking like guardian Nord. Whereas Lina has lost her memories after she has been turned back to a living being, Nord makes it his mission to protect her and together with is twin guardian Finley helps Lina in her quest to figure out what happened to her and who she truly is.
This Paranormal Romance was refreshing, like something new to get lost in. This story was captivating, sexy, enticing and left me wanting for more. I loved the characters, Lina with her flirty, sassy, and defiant attitude, Nord with his charming accent and brute protective ways, and fun challenging Fin, who I quite took a liking to as well.
I also liked the build-up, the chemistry & sexy fun banter. Then there is the cliff hanger, and all good series have one, so this one is no different. Oh boy, I do struggle with cliff hangers at times as I want to continue the story right then and there as waiting is not one of my strong suits but on the other hand it keeps you interested in the story and certainly cannot wait for Lina, Nord, and Finley´s story to continue, especially after listening to the first chapter of the next book.

Nord: “She had an ethereal quality that made it easy to believe she was not truly of this world”
The Duet Duo is just so good. You can feel the chemistry!
Absolutely loved Shane East´s portrayal of Nord, it was perfect especially with this deep growly accented voice, oh boy, goosebumps.
Stella Hunter is amazing, for me she is a rising star, such a wonderful job of capturing Lina´s fun sassy & defiant character.

Ok, I officially want to be a female character in one of Meg Anne’s books. Not only would I be a total bad@$$ B, but I would get to with one of her male characters. People, there’s a reason the hashtag #menbymeg exists, and the men in this book do not disappoint! Meg’s character development is simply amazing and she perfectly captures the push and pull of the romance building between them. She really makes you feel like you know these characters in real life and you become invested in the story. In typical Meg fashion, this one ends with a major cliffhanger but it’s the first in a series so no big deal really. Just gives you even more of a reason to look forward to the next book.

Meg Anne has me totally enthralled in this supernatural love story/thriller. I would have stayed up all night when I got the ARC if it hadn’t been canning season. Lina coming back to life with no memory, meeting Nord with their beautiful soulmate connection and heated passion. What unraveled is amazingly different from any book I’ve read. A captivating page turner, her descriptive ability is awesome. Excellent read!

Hint of Danger by Meg Anne is a wonderful new story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have fallen in love with and can not wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

Hint of Danger is the first book I read by Meg Anne and I absolutely loved it! I loved the mystery of who Lina was. I loved her interaction with her two sexy Guardians. And the ending will leave you begging for the next book! What a fabulous read!

Refreshingly unique and highly addictive!
An extraordinary storyline, amazing world building, awesome and well developed characters! There is plenty of mystery, lots of tension and steam between the main characters, plenty of action and a mindblowing ending (so far)! I can't wait for the next installment in the series! This new book was a fun & funny read! It was thrilling and intense as well as having some sexy steamy moments. This story will definitely keep you captivated, entertained and on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
Lina had me laughing out loud at her antics and her inner dialogue. The fact that she kept trying so hard to cure her "lady blue balls" with Mission Orgasmic Haze” as well as other fun ways to voice that issue had me laughing out loud more than once! She's fierce and witty & I connected with her. The fact that she is trying to seduce a viking named Nord makes for an entertaining and steamy story.

Lina had me laughing out loud at her antics and her inner dialogue. The fact that she kept trying so hard to cure her "lady blue balls" with Mission Orgasmic Haze” as well as other fun ways to voice that issue had me laughing out loud more than once! She's fierce and witty & I connected with her. The fact that she is trying to seduce a viking named Nord makes for an entertaining and steamy story.

This book has a great storyline and I really loved the characters! I enjoyed all the different species included in the story and the different types of magic/magical abilities mentioned, very interesting. My God, this book. I was very interested in this book after reading the blurb, and now that I've finished it I am so sad. It's over. The second one won't be out for another few months! My first 5 star read of 2020! Can't wait for the next book to come out, Meg Anne has gotten herself a new fan. 😁💕

If you met Nord in the Keepers series and wanted to know more about him, Meg Anne gave him his own series, and I’m so glad she did!!!
I loved getting to know Nord a little more throughout the story and to see more of what the Botherhood does, and meet more if the brothers. So far we get to meet Finley, Nord’s partner. I’m looking forward to learning more about these two and seeing if their friendship can survive Nord’s moods, in the next two books.

Great read!
Meg made a wonderful story come to life, from her novella in a Monster Ball. The 3 main characters are well defined so as the reader you can picture them as you read.
Lina is a strong willed mc who has to learn to live and how to depend on others. She also has to figure out how to get exactly what she wants while her memories are gone. Absolutely worth the read!!

Holy Guacamole Batman! That ending!! I don't know why I didn't expect such a huge twist but I'm so glad for the surprise! And omg I'm going to die waiting to know what happens next! Lol. I remember first meeting Nord and Lina in Shade of Danger - part of The Monster Ball Year 2 anthology and was so excited to see their story continued. If you enjoy paranormal romance you won’t be disappointed as there’s definitely romance, humor, tons of magic, and suspense. I’m waiting on pins and needles to find out what happens next!

WOW! This new series is absolutely amazing. It's thrilling, suspenseful, intense and has some very sexy steamy moments. This story will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat completely captivated and highly entertained from beginning to end.

Meg Anne knows how to weave a story and pull you in and definitely have you wanting more and more.
Lina and Nord take from one dangerous situation to the next and have you on the edge of your seat, with your heart pumping and your pulse racing. To be honest, this is not my usual genre but the writing quickly draws you in while the story keeps you hungry and listing for more; I've been enchanted by Meg Anne since page one of her Chosen universe series and Hint of Danger was no different. It's hard to put down even thoughsg Anne is known for her twists and cliffhangers you can't help but be drawn towards and trapped in her web of characters. You'll find yourself rooting for them, crying with them and falling in love with them. Hello, Nord is basically a freaking Viking god and the sexual tension/chemistry with Lina will leave you needing an ice bucket dumped on your head.
If you like a sexy, witty and heart stopping read this book checks all the boxes and I CANNOT wait for book 2. Just when you think you can start figuring out the puzzle of Lina's identity and past you turn a page to realize there's a whole lot more to uncover.

The book flowed well, and held my attention. After reading the novella leading to this book, in The Monster Ball Anthology book 2, I wasn't sure what to expect from Lina & Nord's story. I think a new reader could possibly read this without reading the novella first & just miss some of the world building, but can quickly catch up. There are some small nuances carried over from the novella, but not enough to lose a reader altogether. Nord is definitely a tall drink of water for a parched soul. There were times when Lina irritated me a lot. The slow burn between them was entertaining and made the moment he finally gave in, so much hotter. I'd be interested in seeing where the smallish cliff-hanger takes the story in the next book.

This review is for the audiobook, which includes the prequel story - Shade of Danger. This story has a unique take on the existence of a ghost, what their world might be like, and how might you bring them back. I didn't feel the need to suspend disbelief in order to get lost in the story, which is always a plus with paranormal romance. In this world of magical beings with amazing powers we are introduced to Lina and Nord, who are fated to find each other. From the very beginning I was invested in Lina's character, how she sees the world, and her struggle to recover lost memories while embracing her new life and falling for her unbelievably sexy protector. I got lost in the mystery and the suspense while being swept away by the undeniable attraction, romance, and beautiful connection they share. His pet name for her is beautiful and his protective nature and devotion are hot as hell! This is a cliffy, so hold on tight and be prepared! You will definitely want the rest of the story ASAP, like me!

All of the emotion, the longing, the rage, and the intense attraction these character experience is brought to life by 2 of my favorite narrators! They bring the characters to life in a way you really cannot get outside of Duet narration that is done right!
