“It’s so nice when toxic people stop talking to you. It’s like the trash took itself out.” I had everything I ever wanted, until my life was flipped upside down. Now, I’m suddenly being forced to live in my parent’s hometown, with complete strangers. Like my heart isn’t broken enough. Could I fall any further? Yes. Yes, I could. Why might that be? The Allstars. Xavier Knight, Hunter Asheville, and Tobias Holmes. Asheville High’s prestigious star football players. They’re my worst nightmare. But damn – why do they have to be so mouth-wateringly hot? I mean I’m sure there is more to them, I can see it in their eyes, but I won’t be getting any closer to pin-point what it is exactly. They seem to think I’m breakable, but they obviously don’t know me at all. The Allstars have no idea of what I’m dealing with, and I’m not above biting back. I’m here out of a promise to my mother, but this damn town screws with you. Knight’s Creek welcomes you in, with its picture perfect neighborhoods, making you think it’s safe, quaint, and wholesome. But in reality, this toxic town seeps into your soul and tears you apart. Now, I have no choice but to stay and piece myself back together. The second I graduate, I’m getting the hell out of here. In theory, it sounds simple. Right? Toxic Creek is Book One in The Allstars Series, which is a contemporary, bully reverse harem. Some scenes may be classed as triggering to some, and with sexual scenes throughout it is recommended for those 17+. F/M/M/M steam, so for clarification there will be NO MM and Eden is everyone’s soul focus; if they get over their egos that is!
4 stars WHAT AN EPIC START TO THE SERIES As a previous fan of K.C. Kean from Featherstone Academy, I had high hopes for this book, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Eden is a strong and confident FMC with a backbone; that made it all the more pleasant when she was dealing with the Allstars. The whole plot was intriguing, to say the least, I thoroughly enjoyed the big brother vibe. The story progression in the upcoming books will certainly be entertaining as secrets become unravelled. "We always come out stronger." This book was filled with DRAMA and I was all here for it. The last few chapters were so intense, leaving me unsettled when I reached the end. Can't wait for the next book!
So I figured out something. I like bully romances with heroines who are strong and remain strong throughout the series AND I like heroines who are initially weak but later ends up becoming strong. So when I see a heroine like Eden, who starts off being the strongest bitch out there and later becomes someone who's all talk and no action...well...? That PISSES ME OFF.
Eden Grady (our lovely protagonist who only has sex with a guy once and yes, she mentions that more than once) is made to go live in the town where her parents grew up in, after her dad is murdered. For some reason her mom doesn't accompany her and even refuses to tell her why she's being forced to move. With no answers and a million questions, she follows her mother's wishes and starts her senior year at a new school and the rest is basically about her meeting the 3 douches *cough cough* I mean..the 3 heroes, Xavier (the eternally cold one), Hunter (the initially cold but eventually soft one) and Tobias (the funny one), and other juvenile crap about mean girls (the kind that spits on your face and steals your clothes after gym so you're forced to walk naked through a crowded cafeteria, which is a norm for social outcasts..like what?!) and the social hierarchy (the kind where the guys say "she needs to know the rules and we rule everything"). Eden also wants to find out who killed her dad and why she's being forced to dance to the tunes of someone her mom is too scared to retaliate against. Also, why are kids forced to suffer for their parents actions?!
The amount of secrets that people REFUSE to entertain is ridiculous. Everyone is scared of "them", but you're not going to get any answers as to who "they/them" are from this book. I mean it's cute to keep things secretive in a three-part series..but everyone's very clear refusal to talk about the Grady's (the heroine's family) and for Xavier, to point-blank, act like he hates all Grady's just because of something his mom told him YEARS ago seemed weird, especially since even he knows how evil and fucked up his mom is!
This book was a literal headache with the amount of back and forth between the characters. If I wanted a headache, I would have willingly endured motion sickness! And you wanna know the worst part about all this? I will be continuing with this series. Yes, yes...I'm disappointed in myself too.🤦🏾♀️ I'm probably getting too soft now that I can't DNF a series just because the first book sucked. Oh well..😒
Easily a 5 star read for me! It was SO good! The story was intense with lots of twists. Great bully read with the addition of RH was the cherry on top.
Eden Grady's life gets turned upside down shortly after her father is killed. She is forced to move to a town full of elite people. Move back to her mother's hometown or else she just might not make it to live another day. Following the rules will end once she sets foot in that town. She is feisty and strong willed and will not allow herself to be a puppet to unknown players anymore.
New town, new school, new home, new friends... her only saving grace is Archie. The homeowners son. He is always in her corner and sticks up for her constantly. He's just what she needs to get through her darkest days. Especially with Asheville's Allstars trying to break her, but not before they demand a taste of what she has to offer.
Xavier, Hunter and Tobias were so wishy washy, but I fell from them all hard. They were drawn to the new girl despite their job of trying to destroy her. There was tons of angst, drama and hot sexy times.
That cliffhanger gutted me. I didn't see that coming. Can't wait to continue on with the series!!
This book is just awful. The heroine's dad gets murdered and she doesn't even mourn. She went straight to fucking some dude she doesn't even know like girl your father just died and your mother could potentially be in danger but you acting like nothing happened. Girl what the hell are you doing?
Xavier: I've read a lot of books with anti hero but Xavier is literally not even an anti hero. He is just an asshole. I don't get why this author would glorify an asshole who has no respect and manhandles a woman. Dude wanna destroy her and then next he wanna fucks her. That's literally it. The "connection" the author tired so hard to push between xavier and Eden is just bullshit. Not sure if the author was going for the enemies to lovers trope. Well whatever it is ain't it.
Hunter: Hunter seems to be the only decent character here. He was the only one I liked in this book. He's not an asshole to Eden but he's also not like Tobias who only seems to want to get into Eden's pants. He's caring and tbh hunter was the only one that kept me going to read. If it weren't for him I wouldve never finished reading this book.
Tobias: The only thing I can remember from him is how he was constantly bringing up the missed opportunity to do 7 minutes heaven with Eden. That's literally the only "connection" I felt between him and the heroine. Oh I did I tell you that he also loves to manhandle Eden?
Eden: The author tried so hard to paint Eden as this strong and independent woman but she's really not. I don't really have anything else to say about her and that says a lot already. She's forgettable, boring and bland.
Anyways the plot is messy and ridiculous. Most don't even make sense at all. You want to tell me that a bunch of 18 years olds have that much control over the school and a whole town? 💀 Yeah no. Anyways I would've given this a 0 star rating but I was feeling generous today. That one star is for Hunter.
I won't be tuning in for the next two books...as much as I loved Hunter, he is not just enough to keep me interested in whatever K.C Kean got going on here.

𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐄𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐒, Kc Kean absolutely slays yet another outstanding start to a series and were instantly were thrown into drama of Knights Creek.
The lies, the unknown, twists and turns will leave you 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬.
Eden is one fiercely strong chick with a whole heap of badassary and sass!! Eden is unlike any female character I've read and she SLAYS like no other. Yess i am crushing hardddd. Being thrown into a new town laced with secrets and warnings is only the beginning.
Meet Xavier the broody alpha of the pack. urgh i wanna pinned up by Xaiver🥵 Although X is using his alphaness as a front he is melting my heart.
I legit LOVE how Hunter is the BAE of the group is becoming more of my fav. The way he is soo vocal about his thoughts and standing up for what he believes and there are moments within that absolutely will leave your heart fluttering.
Tobias Tobias Tobias, is the joker player of the group but damn i have a soft spot for his persona and character. He leaves you laughing but swooning in the same breath.
There are some seriously strong female lead moments within this book which screams CONFIDENCE and embraced in some serious saucy sexy scenes. 🥵 Yet in the same breath you'll feel all the damn feels and emotion and poweful.
What in the ever loving ending DID i just read. I am fully left speechless. This is 𝐔𝐍𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 and damnn KC that ending. I NEED answers now!!
KC Kean’s new book is here y’all. And she absolutely killed it. I was hooked from page one and I could not put it down. I absolutely loved the FMC she is strong and so resilient. These boys they put her through the ringer, I don’t know how I feel about them yet.....
I have so many questions that need answered... I need book 2!
I highly recommend you read this book on a weekend where you have no obligations because you will need to read it in one sitting. Toxic Creek was a page-turner from the beginning. I loved Eden and Xavier’s first meeting.
When I read the description I assumed it would be like most other high school bully romance books, naive girl vs. alpha men. This was very much not the case and I should have expected nothing less from KC Keane.
Eden is a force to be reckoned with! She does not let anyone push her around. Nothing is as it seems, no one's motivations are clear and there is something big going on under the surface. My favorite of the boys so far is Tobias. He’s just so lovable and an all around jokester who truly likes Eden.
I am excited to see how this changes throughout the series. You will definitely walk away with more questions than answers! And that ending, was Pure and raw emotion.
This book had potential yet failed at every angle. The heroine is supposed to be strong, yet dumb as a rock - her ass just moves to a new town, doesn't try the police, libraries, or any other people/places to find some answers. DUMB. AS. A. ROCK. Then the guys, they are not even mean or bullies but just as dumb as heroine. The connection is so forced it barely kept my attention. Would not recommend it.
So freaking good. A brand new story and KC just keeps getting better. The sexual tension is delicious and the story intriguing. Eden is unapologetically confident and sure of herself and I love it. I also like her friendship with Charlie, KC writes really good female friendships And like the friendship between Luna and red this one seems to be made to last. Highly recommend this and any other of her books,
Ouuuuu damn OKAY, my rating is absolutely going up after listening to the audiobook version of Toxic Creek. The narrators brought a whole new layer of suspense, drama, and sexual tension that I definitely didn’t pick up just reading it - and it had me hooked, like feral level hooked.
Lowkey mad at myself for shelving the book and not continuing the series sooner… but here we are 🤷🏻♀️
But in the immortal words of Georgina Sparks: You can tell Jesus, that the bitch is back.

3.8⭐️ (first read: oct/2024)
This book felt a little blasé.
And before any of you come for me, let me just say: I LOVE A BULLY ROMANCE, OKAY? This trope has been the peak of my reading challenge this year. HOWEVER - it’s starting to feel like déjà vu with a different cover. (You didn’t ask, but I’m going to rant anyway.)
You know the formula. There’s the classic crew of brooding testosterone and trauma: the menacing alpha, the moody tech genius, the golden retriever athlete, and occasionally, the pierced/tatted lothario who looks like he smells like sex and bad decisions. Together, they form the “untouchables” - the ruling elite of whatever prep academy/prison-for-rich-kids we’re in this time. They don’t just rule, they fucking descend upon it like Gods, dripping with enough power and ego to send the entire female population into heat.
Enter: the new girl. Hella mysterious. Entirely unbothered. No one knows her, and that’s a big problem for our omniscient trio of walking God complex’s. She’s attractive, but, like, in a “she doesn’t even know she’s hot” way. She’s not a girly girl, but she’s not full tomboy either - she’s quirky, obviously. She hates them, they “hate” her (read: they’re obsessed), and what unfolds is a hormone fueled power struggle with enough tension to snap steel. Guys wanna date her, girls wanna hate her. Blah blah blah
It’s giving: same plot, new zip code. Same drama, new names. I’m gonna need the trope to get a facelift or at least change outfits.
Now, don’t ask me if I liked the book. Ask me if I’ll finish the series.
Review in english : I'm having a lot of mixed feelings at the end of Toxic Creek because I really liked the concept of a toxic town but unfortunately the romance ruined everything.
Eden sees her life fall apart the day her father is murdered. The next day, her mother, tells her that she must take the car and leave for Knight's Creek (her dad's childhood town) or else the people in charge of Knight's Creek will kill her. Eden finds herself trapped in a toxic town where it is hard to stay alive.
The story really felt like the heroine was trapped in a timeless town that she can't get out of. I really liked this concept. I also liked the heroine, who was not a fragile little thing (no virgin here).
My problem was mostly with the evolution of her relationship with the 3 boys from Asheville High's, Xavier Knight, Hunter Asheville and Tobias Holmes. At first the relationship is interesting and explosive so I was excited about the book. Then about at 70% of book, I started to see that the boys could do the worst things to her and she would forget about it after 2 minutes. And that, personally, does not work for me. She was really annoying.
I would have liked her to defend herself and to be more independent. By making the romance slower and letting the characters develop, the novel would have been great.
Despite this my rating is 3.5 out of 5 because the book had a lot of potential and the author's style is good.
Hell yeah!! This book was so so good 🙌 I am so, helplessly in love with ALL the characters. Eden, Charlie, Archie, Tobias, Hunter && even Xavier. I got all the feels which is how I know when I've fallen in love with a series. The plot and storyline was really good, I couldn't put this book down... the boys tug at your heartstrings, the way they act and gravitate towards Eden, I literally wanted to hug them all. Charlie makes a brilliant friend to Eden and has me cracking up at times with how she acts towards the guys. Archie is just the dream guy best friend, the way they connect is refreshing... THAT ENDING IS NOT OK!!! This book isn't even out yet and I'm DYING to read the next book!! My emotions are all over the place 😫😫 i had pure goosebumps. EDEN, IVE GOT YOU!! 🤐 I really recommend this book 🙌
WOW! What did I just read? KC Kean- your writing skills are amazing - they always have been but that was next level. Congrats!!
I was sucked in right from the start and I could of easily have read right to the end in one sitting - if real life didn’t happen.
I loved the dynamic of the characters. I loved Eden and her strength (damn she is a strong FMC). I loved her ‘gives no f***’s attitude.
The side characters were also next level - Archie and Charlie.
The Allstars - where does one begin with them??
This is one of my top reads for the year and I highly recommend it - just make sure you don’t have plans when you start as you won’t want to put this book down.
I won’t get too deep because I don’t want to spoil you, but I adored these guys and Eden is a strong lead.
I’m eagerly looking forward to book two and three— I’ve loved KC’s books since I joined the team for Your Bloodline, and I was on the edge of my seat for her new series.
Toxic Creek has many of the things we adored about Featherstone and fun new twists to enjoy as well.
You will NOT want to miss this.. I have a feeling it’s about to get WILD.
(PS- though Parker Parker is always my boo, I’m digging the hell out of Tobias.)
Holy smokes! Rich people and their games are just too much sometimes but for Eden they can be deadly.. everything about this new series calls to me in a way that I can’t explain.. if you are looking for a new reverse harem with sexy hot a- holes, a badass heroines hi isn’t going to take their shit laying down well welcome to Toxic creek.. Man, I devoured this book and can’t wait til July for book two.. Xavier, Tobias and Hunter are the Allstars but Eden could very well be their down fall.. Archie and Charlie are so freaking cute.. there’s so many secrets and lies I just need to find out what’s going on.. that cliffhanger left me wanting so much more.. Author Kc Kean got me hooked from the first chapter and I am sure I will be stalking her to get the deets on book two .. I’m hooked !!
I must say, i loved the Featherstone series, but this author’s writing is only getting better! This series was great, Eden is definitely my favorite kind of FMC - sexually confident and unapologetically herself.
There’s bully moments but i loved how Eden was always herself and didn’t bow to anyone. The guys definitely still need to grow on me, though. I also had hoped Eden would take a little longer to warm up to them, or at least stuck to her one time only rule.
The twists at the end left me shocked along with Eden, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I hope Eden burns everything down lol.
I don't know how she does it, or where the epic storylines come from but KC Kean has managed to weave yet another epic world in Toxic Creek.
KC has a way of developing her characters that draws you in. You'll immediately fall in love with them (or hate them) so when an epic plot twist happens you'll be as blown away and devastated as the characters themselves. Toxic Creek or Knights Creek has a beautiful and peaceful image from the outside yet is full of nothing but deception at every turn.
Her villains are as diabolical and and twisted as they come, you'll be questioning true motives the entire time.
Eden, though she seems like your average high school party girl has more to her than meets the eye. Because of her families lifestyle she is a lot tougher than one would think. I love her character and that she embraces who she is and takes no sh*t, regardless who dishes it out.
Archie, I was instantly drawn to him. There's something broken about him that he tries to hide with his carefree attitude. Even though he's not one of Eden's love interests I hope we get to dive deeper into Archie.
The Allstars Xavier Knight, Tobias Holmes, and Hunter Asheville are the epitome of apha a$$holes. They rule the school using their power to instill fear on the masses. I love them all as they each bring something to the table and while they rule the school they hold everything back and are shrouded by secrets.
You'll be left with a serious mic drop ending having you screaming....why?!?!?! But I have faith that KC has something monumental coming our way.
I cannot wait to see what kind of twisted debauchery is to come for the crew as KC Kean continues to weave this brilliantly twisted story.
I loved KC’s Featherstone series SOOO much!! So naturally I jumped all over getting an ARC for Toxic Creek, the first book in her Allstars series. And it did not disappoint!!
We meet Eden, carefree seventeen year old trying to enjoy her senior year until a sudden loss blows up her world. All of a sudden, she’s shipped off to Knight’s Creek to live with people she doesn’t know while her mom is semi-AWOL.
Along the way, she picks up some friends in housemate Archie and cheerleader Charlie, are are equally awesome. But the real standouts are the Allstars - Xavier, Hunter, and Tobias. That’s right ... reverse harem!!!! Not so fast, there’s some bigger things at play here (namely family grudges) that stand in the way.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s some really good steam mixed in throughout the story ... but there’s always something holding them back.
And just as it seems things are finally coming together... it’s twist time! And let me tell you, it was PERFECT!! Can’t wait for book two - I need answers!!!
🏈bully romance 🏈Football romance 🏈 so many secrets 🏈 why choose 🏈 enemies to lovers
Oh my gawd i was right all ALONG! After that cliffhanger I immediately downloaded book two on my kindle. I still have unanswered questions which compelled me to read more.
Xavier Knight is here to make her life a living hell along with the All stars Tobias and Hunter. Her dad was 💀now shes being forced to go to a strange town and live with some strangers. No one pisses off the allstars until EDEN GRADY
Totally enjoyed this and the spice good lord the tension the hate f*cking ish. Gawd its just wild. The FMC Eden, is so bad ass wont take shit from anyone I LOVE IT!
Poor Eden's having a bit of a tough time of it, her life as she knew it is over and now she's thrust into a new world by herself with no idea why.
I guessed the main spoiler early on my Spidey senses were tingling, I was so gratified at the end to realise I wasn't going mental lol.
Eden is a tough chick, you can't help but like her, yes she's not a kick ass martial artist or an assassin, she's just a normal girl with inner strength, fortitude and a bit of an attitude.
The guys well we don't get much from them in this book there's a lot of mystery surrounding the whole book. But we start to get a sense of their characters and the dynamics between them. At the moment I'm loving Tobias he's such a flirt but I think Hunter is going to be my guy. Xavier is so frustrating right now!
I am going to say this is somewhat Medium burn there is some sexy times for sure but with the bully aspect it's not all fire and steam, which is good cos no-one wants to see the main FMC relent too easy when the guys are being jerks.
The book is multi POV I'm hoping we get some Hunter and Archie views in book 2 after that little cliffie. I'm sure we will and it will inevitably lead to finding out more on the mystery surrounding Eden and Toxic Creek.
This book was Intense in the best way possible. I could not put it down. It truly does leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next. Eden is one strong, resilient, and take no crap FMC. No matter how many times she is dealt a crappy hand, she always picks herself up and fights back. She's amazing. The characters of this book will have you loving their hot looks to wanting to punch them for the things they say and do. You will not be disappointed in this book, I can promise you that. If your looking for steam, wit, sarcasm, intense, drama, big egos and a straight up emotional roller coaster with your feelings, then this book is for you. It is truly one of the best contemporary bully reverse harem books this year. Highly recommend this book. It will definitely leave you wanting more.
Eden is torn away from her family and moved to a new location and has to attend a new school. She isn’t given any information so everything is a mystery with the threat of death if she doesn’t go. There are rules in this town and Eden is supposed to figure them out quickly and fall in line, but that’s not quite what happens. I have read so many books that are bully reverse harem. This is not like any of them. It seriously didn’t even read like a bully Rh. The kids at the school try to bully Eden but she takes it up a notch every time and retaliates or uses whatever they have done to her own advantage. There are so many secrets that I am dying to know. I need the next book immediately. I absolutely recommend this book!
I into reading this book excited. KC has given us Featherstone, she’s given us Red’s duet and oh man has she given us Toxic Creek! Eden is another great, feisty heroine. This girl takes no crap, owns her body, and slays these boys! You have to adore a heroine that just won’t quit and KC is writing them in spades. I love that the guys are such anti-heroes. It makes the dynamics of their relationship so interesting and getting their POV as Eden mindf*cks them is going to put a smile on my face for many days to come! I’m going to be excitedly awaiting book 2 to find out what our girl does next! I can tell that KC is going to drop some bombs on us with this series and I can’t wait!!! If you’re in doubt of whether to pick this book up, you won’t regret reading cover to cover!!
Another fantastic book from the author congrats! I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book, being a massive fan of her last series I had a hard time thinking anything could match that, but I was proven wrong big time! This book is totally captivating and I found I myself over halfway through it before I even realised what had happened! It draws you in and keeps you there until your helpless to resist doing anything but finishing it! Bravo for another remarkable book!
Okay so after falling in love with another series by this author I grabbed book one of this series too. Best. Decision. Ever. These books are even better! I adore Eden. The guys are just the right amount of bad and as with every high school bully book the secrets the unfold are brilliant. No time for a full review I need to read book two.
A great start to this page turner Rh filled with secrets and drama. Loved the feisty heroine Eden. She is the perfect match for Xavier, Tobias and Hunter. Each are different and intriguing. Also loved the side characters Charlottee and Archie. The angst, push and pull, drama and fast pace kept me engaged till the end.
Looking forward to book 2 for all those unanswered questions!
This is a new series from kc kean , and let me just say oh my gosh this is amazing !!!! She’s blown out of the park with this new one. This story is amazing and you see the growth in the authors writing and I could not put it down. Not wanting to give any spoilers but wow the characters are amazing and you feel their emotions, the turmoil, the little victories.
