The subtitle on this book states: "Science and the Bible reveal how the Brain Heals."
Chapter 12, Postulate 17 states: "Imaging can heal brain nerve patterning." Imaging is neither scientific nor Biblical. It is a New Age concept that has no place in a supposedly Christian book. The author makes other weird and New Age type statements and I finally had enough and quit reading it. While there may be a few beneficial pointers, you can find more useful information, without the New Age philosophy, in Dr. Neil Nedley's books on depression and emotional intelligence.
This book is heading for the dumpster.

Elden M. Chalmers, author of the book "Healing the broken Brain" writes on how as humans we can improve and heal many aspects of how we think and act. He does a well job of explaining that our brains need to be healthy and strong for the obstacles that we face in life; in order to do so we must change small habits and change how we think. This book is more of an informational book rather than a novel so it may be hard to read. I will also like to include that chapter 7 deals with depression and is a very helpful guide for people to change that mindset.
