This book was fun, but it was also a little sad because it felt like the end of an era. I’ve been dipping in and out of Jacobs’ Kirk Sandblaster series for a while now and I’ve always been pretty happy with what they’ve delivered. He’s got more polished as a writer as the series went on and so this is one of the best of the lot.

We also get to see a bunch of familiar faces from the earlier books, and so while you don’t need to read them all in order, you will get a little more out of it if you’ve

Oli Jacobs is a man. He has a beard, a belly, and a fair bit of an imagination.
